Knee & Uni Stuff

My knee has started playing up again and after a hospital visit a week and a bit ago it is possible that there may be internal damage. As the pain has not really died down I need to see a specialist which means a camera being inserted into my knee and/or an MSI Scan.

Sorry for not being around much recently but I haven't had much to post due to the pain and the fact that Uni started again last week.

Hope that everyone else is okay.

3. There is clear chemistry between the two teachers. There were actually several pairings I could have chosen from the earlier era of Doctor Who where I wouldn't have been surprised if they did have feelings for each other, but this was definitely the one that came to mind first.

General Update

Apologies for not being active here recently, things in RL took over or a while. Anyway I am hopefully back now and you can expect A LOT of fic to be uploaded in the next few days. (As per usual check my LJ for other fics, and quicker updates).

Knee Update

Had fracture clinic appointment today. After cutting cast gauze front of with safety scissors he checked it and decided it was still too painful. (Was worried that I might have actually ruptured a tendon but doesn't seem like that is the case).

As such the plaster theatre put on a full cast this time, which has a bright purple main part.

Not got another appointment till the 3rd July.

First of all: Many many thanks to ~ravensrising and *StarbearerTM for keeping me occupied in what was the very early hours of the moring here.

Secondly, some of my closer friends may know that my knee has been playing up all week. After an ominous crack I panicked and it was only thanks to *StarbearerTM that I calmed down. However, when I woke Mum and Dad and got them to take me to the hospital, it turned out that I had dislocated it again, but it had righted itself.

I am now in a cast again >_< (Though they did at least think that they wouldn't have to use surgery on it!)

What I did this week

It was my 21st Birthday on Thursday. Thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday here and on other sites, and extra special thanks to those kind enough to write/send me something.

Monday and Tuesday was just the usual Uni work. Nothing much happened on either of those days this week.

On Wednesday I went to Herne Bay with Mum and Dad and had a meal in the Harvester there. They had run out of spitroast chicken though meaning that Dad and I couldn't share a combo. I had the gammon instead and it was very very nice. We then went to Herne Bay and went in the arcades for a bit. I opened my Cards and my Present from Mum and Dad just after it had gone midnight as I had uni the following day and wouldn't have much time to do so in the morning.

On Thursday I went to Uni, and responded to the birthday wishes I saw here and elsewhere during my free hour and later in the day. I spent the rest of it doing my C Programming Assignment.

Friday was yet more Uni, but in the evening I went to see Fairport Convention at Tonbridge Wells. They were great as always and I even managed to get my picture taken with Ric Saunders (The Violinist) afterwards:-

Just come back from seeing the Monty Python West End Musical "SPAMALOT." It was great.

There was some brilliant lines in it including: -

"Are you suggesting that coconuts migrate?" Followed by a discussion about why swallows wouldn't be able to carry one.

"Let me get this straight, God's misplaced a cup? He's supposed to be all seeing and all knowing shouldn't he know where it is?"
"Seems a bit careless to me."
"Can't we just get him a new one?"

Not forgetting to mention the classic "What the curtains?!

"Stop looking up my skirt!" and "I'm God! Of course it's a good idea!" were uttered by God of course.

Add to that killer bunnies, the knights who say 'nee', songs such as "this is the song that goes like this" and "whatever happened to my part?" and you get one hilarious West End Musical that I really want to see again!

Physio went well today. Got all the way round on the exercise bike today - albeit backwards. Leg very painful now, especially from Renne bending it.

Got my leg to 110degrees (well with Renne bending it - rather a lot). OUCH!

Then did some exercises on the exercise bike.

Could bend my leg to 82 degrees before getting in, 90 when I got out.

First hydrotherapy session today. Leg mesured at 50 degrees before getting in the water then 70 afterwards. They've decided I need it twice a week.

Leg Update - Slight w00t

Finally managed to make it upstairs!

Yay maybe I can get a proper night's sleep now!

More Physio

Second session of physio using the machine, 3rd session overall. It went okay, before getting on the machine I could bend my leg to 50 degrees got it up to 68 with the help of the machine and could bend it to 67 degrees on my own after that.

One more session of the machine next week and then it'll be 4-6 sessions of Hydrotherapy (doing exercises in their swimming pool)

Leg (Physiotherapy part 2)

2nd session of Physio went okay. Had this weird machine that slowly lifted the leg and then bent it gently. The physiotherapist kept altering the degrees it would go to. Manged to get it to 60 degrees in the end. Which helped improve how far I can move it myself quite a bit.

So it's going quite well. Slowly, but getting there.

Legs and Fics, Fics and Leg

Leg Update - Physio on friday went okay. Having to go back tomorrow when they're going to use a hydro machine to hopefully help bend it a bit more. I just want this to be sorted now. I want to be able to get up the stairs to go to bed.

Fic Update - The next long RenIchi story of mine will be called Deadly Secret but it's rather dark.

RenIchi drabbles are coming along nicely expect the next 5 in the next few days.

I haven't forgotten the requests on my last post about the non RenIchi drabbles - I just
haven't got round to writing anything more to those yet.

I think that's it at the moment. Hope everyone else is well ^_^
