Not sure if this will make any difference, but a little technical info beforehand: I shoot with a d700 and use adobe bridge and photoshop cs3. I also have Nikon's ViewNX, which came with the camera... but I rarely touch this program.

Life is good. Life is busy. Life here is cold and rainy. I miss photography terribly as I do everything and everyone at home. I will be seeing them soon though so hopefully pictures will ensue.

I've still been doing a tiny bit of darkroom work, but I've mainly been testing HP5 to the max. If I have to shoot another roll of gray cards I might explode.

The goal for next year is to have an exhibition under my belt.

It's quite stupid that after all these years I haven't figured this out, but I'm getting tired of editing with the hope that prints will come out matching what I see on the screen. I've heard that Sypder is good...?? are there major differences between Spyder 2 and 3?

Also, does anyone know much about connecting a second screen to a laptop? Last time I tried to do that, the colors on the external monitor became very desaturated and weird.

it is just strange how things change so quickly. my cousin had a 3rd surgery about  1 1/2 weeks ago. yesterday they did another cat scan to check up on her blocked artery.......

about 2 weeks ago they found a tumor in my 7 year old cousin's brain. she is like my little sister and it has been extremely scary and hard these last few days. i dont want to give all the details but she's having an extremely risky surgery next tuesday the 13th.
i was wondering if you could please pray for her and keep her in your prayers throughout the week. it may seem strange since no one knows her, but i do believe in the power of prayer and that it can help.
i dont want sympathy, just prayers.

well, it has been a while since my last journal. not much has really happened in my life. most importantly, i'm out of school. i was so sick of it; so tired of the work, the essays, tests, and finals. gross. it is so nice to be on my summer vacations to sleep in and go to bed at 2a.m. to be able to do the simple things that i love most, without being in a hurry, knowing that there is something else that has to be accomplished.
