Just some random updates I want to share with everyone XD

This past weekend I traveled down to Seattle, WA to attend their monthly cosplay gathering called Gasukan. I use to go a looooot, but now not as often (which is rather funny if you think about it as I use to live on an island that made it a lot harder to travel than where I am now OTL ... but I digress). So there were LOTS of people I didnt know or recognize 0_0 ... but I still had an awesome time seeing all my WA friends and meeting new~

~hakukumo and I took this opportunity to debut our sneaky suprise cosplay XD I had finished watching Hetalia a couple weeks back at her house and after watching episode 36 with Alfred (America) and his friend Tony lmfao... we just died to cosplay it! We had a LOT of fun, you can see in my newest deviation: ~~~Bringin' in the New Year~~~~ And on my new webcam pic lol~ Go check it out~ XD
The wig I ordered still hasnt arrived yet =____= So we'll deffinitly be wearing these again!
(_{aside from the fact its just insanely fun})

Sunday evening on our way home from the states ~hakukumo told me that it was Ciel (from Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji) birthday on monday and that she really wanted to do something for it XD As most of you are aware I am very much ok with any reason to eat cake! And fictional birthdays are a marvelous excuse

On the Monday, we had a really late start and decided to go downtown to buy fabric for our SakuraCon cosplays (which GAH means SC stress just got reaaaallll). ~hakukumo was already in her Ciel cosplay (because she didnt want to bring a massive floofy victorian-esque outfit, she threw together a closet cosplay of this artwork: **[link] ) Once at home, after making some epic dinner I decided to raid my closet to see what I could put together for our make shift tea-birthday party XD;

20 MIN LATER...

=ultimaaa was working on her homework but we convinced her to join us and thus she ran off to see what she could fling together too

I havnt posted an update about whats been going on recently, although Im sure you've seen the photos from our recent photoshoot ^^

Again, Im sorry to all my watchers that dont get Reborn! lol Not to worry, in the coming year I have lots of other plans as well

The shoot was a lot of fun! As stated in my recent deviations, it really meant a lot to me Thank you my lovelies! =kolibri-chan, ~hakukumo, *jj-dreamworldz!~

School has been incredibly busy lately...its the last couple weeks so everything is coming up (I am currently procrastonating against writing an essay and working on a project that is due this afternoon lol). After this week its going to calm down a LOT and then next week is pretty much all classes done and then preparing for finals. Busy busy @___@ (as Im sure most others are as well) GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WITH THEIR BUSY LIVES/SCHOOL/WORK etc

On the topic of school, thank you SO MUCH to everyone who offered monologues for me to use for my audition I got to see some really cool ones! I had my audition and have since gotten my notice. I unfortunatly was not chosen to continue on with the program due to my knee injury (kinda as I thought). BUT! this is ok because I wasnt happy with the program (I just didnt feel it really suited my needs as an artist and where I want to go). So next semester I will be a "normal" student lol XD And be taking "regular" classes. Then I will decide where to go from here for next September. Life is all about new opportunities

ok COSPLAY! haha what you people actually watch me for XD

Sooo my next big con will be SakuraCon in Seattle, Wa in April! This is the main event for lots of us West Coasters as it is our "local" big convention ^^ Im very excited Especially as one of my favorite bands from Japan will be playing: High & Mighty Color XDDD

So far only have two deffinate plans. I will be completely re-making my ring arc Belphegor from Katekyo Hitman REBORN! I will be doing this with the usual KHR famiglia as well as others to make the full Varia group! And then I have decided to do Azure Kite from .hack//GU with =ultimaaa as Haseo (we figure while we're roommates its the perfect opportunity to cry through these outfits together, lol) . We are also thinking of entering the masquerade! .... Ive also been told by *jj-dreamworldz and *Kenshiro-FDP that Im doing Tekken lol we'll see.....
Other possibilities include:

- Baccano! (Rail Tracer)
- Code Geass (Orrraaannnnge)
- Gundam SEED Destiny (Lacus or Kira)
- Detroit Metal City (Negishi or Jagi... or... TMT!! XDD)

Ill update with a journal in regards to Aki Con and my upcoming cosplay plans and getting ready for SakuraCon, now that its the next one on the list ^^

However right now I am in need of your assistance!

I am in a theatre school.... I have done the first semester; however, the school cuts the class down from 40 students to 20 at the end of the first semester. We have to re-audition to keep our spot in the program >.< *very stressful* My audition is this friday 0_0!!!!!

I was having a ridicuously hard time finding any monologues I really enjoyed and it appeared in my practice performance OTL I told them I was having a really hard time finding any monologues I really connected with and then asked if I could actually look at doing one from an animated show or film (as we were told TV or stage originally, as I guess no one ever thought of animation before lol). My professor gave me the go ahead if I wanted to use a monologue from anime XDDDDD *yes... I AM that nerdy, thank you!*

I have a couple of shows in mind that I thought of right away: Gundam SEED/Wing, FMA, Gurren Lagann, Fruits Basket .....

Not sure WHICH particular monologues they have/would sound good once being performed though.

SO MY QUESTION TO YOU GUYS (there is a point to this journal I swear) is if you have any monologues from a show you love or think would be really good! Or a show that you know has some really good quality talkin' in it XD Please comment here

The criteria is to portray a character that relates to you (so pretty mcuh - I should stay away from old granny's with 10 grand kids already XD) and shouldnt be too "other worldy". The show itself would be ok to be just as long as the context of the monologue isnt about how the other day I walked up to Mordor and slaughter'd some orc's XDDDD I hope Im making sense, lol its hard to summarise up what Ive learned all term into a short request IM SORRY T_____T

PS - I AM TOTALLY OK WITH "NORMAL" LIVE ACTION MONOLOGUES AS WELL! ive just had a really hard time finding one as Im very otaku and only watch anime and not "real" films OTL

SO! As it has been awhile and because I am yet again procrastonating (_{omg Im so busy fml why am I worrying about DA OTL}) I decided to give you guys an update!

As lots has happened and will be happening, please forgive me if this is really sporatic and does not make much sense XD;

So lets see.... I guess the basics? Im in my last month of classes for the first semester at Theatre school. However half the program gets cut and we go from 40 students down to 20 for the second semester. We have to re-audition, so that's happening on the 13th and then we will know if we have made it in my the 16th >< (_{omgosh so nervous OTL}). On top of that stress I have lots of other assignments and projects being thrown at me from every direction in every class. So its easy to say November is turning into quite the insane month.

That being said, Im going to try to keep updating and getting back to you guys when I can I have done a couple shoots recently. The first being DMC (Detroit Metal City) on Halloween, which you can see in my gallery here:

EAT YOUR HEART OUT

Halloween was lots of fun this year! For the last few years Ive worked so it was really great to get out and partay!~~ (or rather, cosplay all day and then crash as soon as we got back to =kolibri-chan's )

=kolibri-chan put up a video from the very end of the night when we were on our way home and saw this AMAZING haunted house: [link] these people put together (seriously, the film does NOT do it justice). I was a wimp OTL

The second shoot I did was with for 's birthday. He loves Tekken; so in honour of the newly released Tekken 6 and his birthday we had a Tekken photoshoot partay It was a lot of fun, =kolibri-chan, ~jj-dreamworldz and I have watched him play the games for awhile and started to really like the characters ourselves so it was a lot of fun to cosplay!

Aki Con is this weekend. So I will be heading down to Washington with a large horde of other Canadians ^^ I never got to attend last year (because my car was a douche and blew up while I was waiting in the border line up) So heres to hoping for a smooth trip down this time around *crosses fingers*

I will be doing Arcobaleno Verde from Katekyo Hitman Reborn! on Saturday... other than that I have no idea what/who I will be wearing XD I might randomly pick something from my closet to bring down with me ANY SUGGESTIONS??!! Any cosplay you want to see me wear again?

Ok! Thats a little bit of an update for you guys

I normally am not the kind of person to to taggs; however Ive done a couple here on DA .... weird..... anywho.... so I was tagged again! 1. What was your first cosplay? (Think hard on this)

Well.... I dressed up as Luna from Sailor Moon when I was like.... 10? But I dont think that counts.... then I made a Kagome outfit from InuYasha for gr. 9 Halloween. But neither of those times did I think I was cosplaying; So I suppose the very first cosplay would be either Orihime Inoue from Bleach or Lacus Clyne from Gundam SEED Destiny as I cosplayed those both on the same weekend.

2. Did someone get you into cosplay? Or on your own?

Completely on my own. I had always known about cosplay since I had really gotten into anime; however my other hobbies at the time took precidence so I never tried... that and I was never allowed to go to cons etc and didnt have the confidence to even attempt sewing. But in 2007 I decided that I was 1) gonna go to a con and 2) cosplay. And I havnt looked back since~

3. What is your favourite cosplay?

hmmm... wow, tough choice.... I really dont think I can pick just one. Nevertheless, if I had to narrow it down I would deffinitly say Light from Death Note, as it was my very first crossplay and Death Note holds a very special place in my heart. As well as almost any/all of my Hitman Reborn (lol like that "narrows it down); Im extremely proud of my TYL Belphegor cosplay and Varia is insanely fun, also Vongola Famiglia as Sawada Tsunayoshi (even if he isnt quite as epic XD; )because famiglia time is the best time

4. Which is your least favourite?

I would probably saaaaaay.... Soul from Soul Eater. I love Soul Eater to death. And Soul is SO MUCH FUN to cosplay! However his yellow bomber coat was the first thing I ever made 0_0 so Im reaaaally not too happy with it (now), also its anoying having to deal with his chompers always falling off. There are a few cosplays that Ive done, that Im not truly happy with, and I hope to re-do in the future, up to the standards the character/series deserves <3

5. At conventions, do people compliment you on your cosplays? (Unless you're a closet cosplayer you can skip this one)

That said, I still wont have internet in my new place until tuesday when the internet people come. We have been leeching our neighbours wi-fi by sitting outside on our patio XD; However, that can get slightly uncomfortable with the west coast's bi-polar weather (seriously... it was a torrential downpour and today was blistering hot). Although I dont really have anything cosplay related to update on (unless my school throws more hot dog days our way in which we have to make Hetalia outfits over night XD;; ).

So I guess life updates can work. I have moved to the mainland and am living in North Vancouver with ~ultimaaa and Mu_Empire (oh and of course, my two bunnies, whom I named Lavi and Taro XD) . The house is nice and in a wonderful location, just a short walk away from a main street with literally everything you would need/want. There is a sushi place within 10 ft of the last sushi place (I wish I were kidding lol, so we've been trying a new one each time, hopefully we will find out which is the best).

I began my classes at Theatre School last week. It has been a new experience thats for sure. Its quite demanding and very strict. I have a group of 20 classmates whom I will stay with for the entire duration of the 3 year course. Its only been a couple days, but everyone is so incredibly nice and friendly (and everyone is so unique and comes from lots of different backgrounds). It feels really odd to be "in school" but going to class for things like... acting and dance XD lol! I am really loving whats happening/where I am right now (haha I remember that in like a month when Im freaking out over deadlines and financial things etc *knocks on wood*). I am loving living on my own again, and being close to all my friends whom I wasnt able to see very often by living on the island.

Cripple update! So I haven't mentioned anything about this in awhile. I still havnt seen a specialist about my knee because I had to move to the mainland before I got an appointment. However, we forwarded my MRI results to one - who called to give us a brief rundown. I partially tore two of the main ligaments in my leg; I wont need surgery but have to do physical therapy for a few months and as he put it "you will be in pain for awhile" ... OTL. So I still am incapable of moving my leg at all (or doing any epic poses for my cosplays lol XD; >< ).

My next cosplay/event will be AkiCon in WA at the start of November. I dont really have anything *new new* that I will be wearing, but Im really excited about re-wearing some of these outfits again. However I will have a couple new outfits in the next couple months for specific photo shoots ^^ And although its not until next year, I have to get started on SakuraCon 2010 ><;;;

5) When it comes to favorite characters in a series I always go on the completely opposite side of the spectrum ... they are either the wussy loser no one else likes or the crazy psychopath everyone is afraid of XDDD

6) I dont get stressed, I just dont see the point in getting upset over things. I would rather deal with it and move on then worry over it. *however a couple times a year I have a mini meltdown for about 3 min ....then im good again *

It could be said to be "officially" summer... as I tend to associate summer with July/August.

As it is July 1st, the first order of business I have to say is:

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!

I am extremely proud to be Canadian Its Canada's 142 Birthday today and there is lots going on all over the country I live in a rather small town but even still there was a parade downtown and will be festivities all day long. Im probably going to avoid it though as my small town is a tourist destination and I try to avoid the tourists at all costs However I will head down once its dark to watch the Fireworks ^^

July 1st is also very important to me for a couple other reasons. It was the first ever time I cosplayed!! At Anime Expo 2007 Ive come quite a long ways since then XDDDD Ive met so many wonderful people and have had some of the best times with this new hobby, I hope to continue on for years to come and make more wonderful memories

July 1st is also a very sad day for me.... on the same day, when I was at AX 07 I received a phone call from one of my friends here at home that a very close friend of ours was killed in a motorcycle accident. Friends are precious, Life is short... remember to let those important people in your life know how much you love them <3 We miss you Ein~

Anime Evolution was pretty much exactly a week ago so good I post a review for you lovely people eh? This is still probably going to be a lengthy entry but Im going to cut out as much as possible

I can happily say that I finally had my fun, stress-free con that I have wanted for so long D8 I will admit although having enjoyable moments at all the other cons I have been to, I havnt enoyed them for whatever reason >.< So I am SO glad that Anime Evolution was so awesome (I just used "so" a lot in that sentence 0_o) (and now im sad that I have no more conventions for the year ;___; lol)

I was able to stay with =kolibri-chan and *Kenshiro-FDP, thank you so so so much for housing me and my other roomies for the weekend ~jj-dreamworldz and =Heimdall-san

On Friday =Heimdall-san and I woke up super early to go wait in the reg line. Afterwards while we waited for the others to get there we saw =PhotoPanda, =Perzypoo, ~Ai-rika, ~kagomeyasha, ~is-teh-lurvz, ~CliffNordman and other Washingtinians.
So, friday I was cosplaying TYL Varia with my familia. The pleather wasnt as murderous as we were expecting *yay!* so we didnt roast that bad However, actually MOVING in said pleather outfits was another story >.< ... I couldnt bend my legs at all... and therefore had a difficult time picking anything up... much to the amusement of everyone else... the blind one who cant move XD I was the flag bearer as well (dunno which genius who thought of that)... lets give the blind one the GIANT prop XDDDDD All I can say is thank you to my Familia for asking me to join them in Varia.... Im SO happy. It was a large project for me to take on, and I am ecstatic with how it turned out and had an amazing time (as always) cosplaying with you Until the next time (which we are so obsessed with KHR will be really soon )

Later in the evening we changed into KHR Vongola suits 8D for some random convention wandering. We ran into ~unforgivenmind who kindly took some photos of us. We then went home because some of us *coughmecough* still had sewing for the next day.

Saturday morning we decided after looking outside into the brilliant sunshine that Varia was not happening .... so we opted for KHR suits again Which was smart because =kolibri-chan had a "cosplay photography" panel to run with ~Weatherstone and these outfits are far comfier XD;;; Have to give a special thank you to my right hand man, for sewing my Fini shirt in the morning so I could get ready XD;;;

There was good and bad times. Some highlights for the weekend though:

- Seeing old friends (you all know who you are )
- Re-wearing old cosplays
- Meeting/Helping out Yaya at her booth in the dealers hall. If you go to a convention and pass by her booth, go check it out, her stuff is beautiful!~
- Drinking games without actually drinking
- Hanging out with ~chaos-shadow and epic Gundam SEED times. I hope we get to hang out again soon! Thanks again for everything <3
- Getting yelled at for using piano for photos XD
- Random late night meanderings

There were a lot of people I really wish I could have actually hung out with rather than just said hello too. Im so sorry that I wasnt able to see you guys more!
Its about two weeks until AE and I am starting to get nervous about everything I have to get done now. I enjoyed re-wearing all my old cosplays at Fanime but I am really excited about my new cosplays ^^

In other news I got accepted into one of the Theatre programs I auditioned for, so its time to start thinking about moving to the mainland

First of all before I go on I just wanted to give a big ol' virtual lol I hate the whole "pageview counter" thing. Nevertheless, I wouldnt have ever thought when I joined DA a year ago as a newbie cosplayer that I would have had over 10 000 lovely people visiting my page here. Annnnywho....

Just wanted to post an update, Im *NOT* going to be working at the Ycon booth anymore... my friend knew I wasnt 100% too comfortable with it (nothing against it, just its a little too much for my own personal bubble) so Im going to be working at Yaya's booth instead Thats where I will be if you need to find me. Im pretty sure the hours will be the same: Fri/Sat in the morning-afternoon ^^

Im not sure of my cosplay schedule as some cosplays I just really dont want to work in XD; Im hoping to wear Justin for the later part of Friday so I can hang out a small bit with other Soul Eater peoples. Then its Gundam SEED on Saturday with ~chaos-shadow and ~mishielly <333 *So excited* Chaos-Shadow and I have been plotting this for a year *___*

And then I was going to wear Ichimaru Gin on Sunday for the Bleach gathering ^^ Annnnnd at some point we might bring out our Lucky Star uniforms. I cant think of anyone else. So, nothing new but I am excited to re-wear these ^^ (and I know what some of you are thinking, "no KHR!?" lol XD)

Its a holiday next week in Canada (victoria day) so I get a long weekend Ill be going to the mainland to start working on AE cosplays (as its less than two weeks after Fanime that AE happens 0_0)

lol sorry guys, just a little over excited. Fanime has been an up/down roller coaster whirlwind of sorts >.<

I booked it off months ago from work and got the time off but then had quite a few unplanned finances hit me which made me think Fanime was an absolute no. However then my marvelous friend was able to work it out and have Ycon sponsor my trip down in exchange for me working for them over the weekend.
So I went to go ask for the time off again (as I had since told my boss I didnt need the time off anymore)... well an HOUR before I asked for the same dates off... another co-worker asked for them off (ffffffffffffff my life =____= ); But then! the co-worker said she would give me my days back XDDD *rejoices*

home free? Hardly >.< as another co-worker quits and now there is no one to cover my shift T______T So the last few days Ive been anxiously waiting to hear if we found anyone to cover my shift.... and the answer was YES!! Although MAJOR fudging is being done at work to make this possible >.<

So long story short. I am coming to sunny San Jose

Looking through my gallery I notice certain trends in the characters I cosplay. They tend to be serious/emo characters with big issues in life XD (with a couple exceptions). Of course they are pretty much all crossplay... and I did see that young, white-haird boys made an appearance more than once XDDD Do *you* have any trends in your cosplays?

I was on AIM with ~sumikins yesterday, and the conversation has come up between us in the past before but it really got to me this time. More or less because it seems that everyone is working on/producing their "dream cosplays".

I have dream cosplays myself. Mostly, because I am so new to cosplay/sewing etc I havnt attempted to make them as I dont believe my skill level is adiquate to producing said cosplays. But it got me thinking. I have yet to make/wear a cosplay that I full heartidly have wanted to do, mostly for myself just out of pure love of the character or design. Even the characters I really love, Ive have to do different versions then the one I really wanted to do (due to time or finances, what have you).

I do like the cosplays I have made. And have had some unbelievable/wonderful times in them. And I understand if people would say "no one forced you" Im just coming to a realization that at some point you really do have to do it for yourself. Im stuck on wanting to cosplay with friends in a group and as most of my dream cosplays no one has ever heard of OTL ...I have been putting them off. I think Im going to focus more on producing cosplays that I have always wanted to do. Even if it takes a long time due to the difficulty/funds. You have to start somewhere ^^

With SakuraCon less than two weeks away I finally decided to start working on my cosplays 8DDD (oh ya, im that good/prepared).
But Im not too worried ...yet XD;; I made some really good progress over the last two nights. And I made myself a schedule so I dont get too overwhelmed with all the other stuff on top of con stuff that I have to do.

Anywho, just wanted to list my final lineup.... days/times are sorta up in the air, Im very much just: wear whatever cosplay I feel like, when I feel like it XD

Although, it really had to do entirely with my company. I stayed with some of the WA crew that came up and also got to spend time/hang out with all the mainlanders that came over as well ^^ And anytime I get to cosplay with or just have a relaxing visit with friends that I dont get to see nearly enough makes for an awesome weekend <3

As some of you may know Gasukan is this weekend (the local monthly Seattle cosplay gathering). I debated going, as I would love to see everyone again but I made the hard decision (and if you know me you truly know how hard it is as I am so usually not this responsbile XD;; ) to not attend =___= Money is tight, and if I plan to go to some of the larger events like SakuraCon or even Fanime, it would be in my best interest to save as much as I can ;_____; As =kolibri-chan said to me through IM the other night, who are you and what have you done with Heather XDD;;; My better judgement has taken over OTL

Im still waiting on my boss's answer on if I have the time off or not. I went to the airline site last night and checked flights. It was REALLY cheap so I thought what the hey Ill do it anyways. I clicked on the first step, then talked to ppl on MSN for about 10 min and then went to hit continue for the next step and the price had expired and thus now INCREAED!!! T___________T So I havnt secured my seat *yet* but I might when I get home from work and just pay a small fee for insurance in case I dont get the time off and have to cancel.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their input in my last journal entry regarding the wigs ^^ Thanks so much~

I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day ^^ Its actually my dad's birthday XD;; So I went out to dinner with him

I also changed my DA icon XDD I thought maybe I should use an actual icon of myself So dont now be like, "whoah... who is this!? Why are they talking to me 0_o" lol

Next order of business (just had a total mind blank) ..... so moving onto Kei Kon related things. I just thought I would mention to anyone coming over to the Island for Kei Kon next weekend that Victoria is actually having a "tourist in your own town" dealio thing where lots of hotels and restaurants are giving WICKED deals all weekend ^^ Ill try to find out more info (which places etc).
So as I pretty much just stated, yes I will be going to Kei-Kon XD; Im pretty stoked that I dont really have to travel anywhere. No ferry ride ^^ just a short two hour drive 8D Im going to bring:

In my second year of cosplaying I was able to attend lots of conventions. My first big convention of the year was Fanime in CA (I unfortunatly missed out on having my one year SC anniversary but seeing Burimyu in Japan made up for that XD;; ) and then I got to end my con year in CA with Yaoi Con in SanFran. Met lots of people and made some awesome memories.

Whenever possible I also enjoyed heading down to Seattle, WA to attend the monthly cosplay meetup dubbed: Gasukan. It was at these get togethers that I met all those special Washingtinians that I love so much XD I also attended my first "local" meet up, or at least meetup in my own country XD and made some "local" friends as well <3

I cant name names as that would take far too long, but I just want to let everyone know that although 2008 brought in some hard times, you guys are always in my thoughts and I am so happy to have met you all. And even though we may not live close (or even in the same country... or continent!) I truly am gratful to have met you and have you as friends now (AND IM NOT LETTING YOU GO)!!! XD;;;;

2008 was also the year of cosplaying shows I dont know... or characters I dont actually care for but then afterwards fall in love with 8D hahaha!~ I NEVER would have imagined or ever even thought of cosplaying ANYthing that I did last year XD;; but am certainly glad I did, because some epic times were had ^^

2009 I have some big plans, however am not going to disclose them quite yet, as with most people my cosplay list is ever changing XD In a while I will post a more concrete/hopefull cosplay list for 2009.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my last journal with all their well wishes <3 Im deffinily better than where I was a month ago.... however its still really hard, there isnt one hour that goes by where I dont think about it. So many things are a reminder. I still feel quite lost and it will forever feel like a part of me is missing. The part that was freely able to be happy.
But Im sorry, this isnt another emo journal entry XDDD;;

I hope everyone had a fantastic Xmas and Holiday ^^ Ive already gotten 2.5 days off with two more to go!! Even though I feel like I should be going back to work tomorrow

No new cosplays/cons at the moment so Im just uploading a couple old ones to prove Im still active, haha. Have some things coming up in January though, so look forward to some updates later next month ^^

Other news? Well as most places the weather has been quite different from what we are used to. We have gotten between 5-30 cm of snow every day for the last couple weeks and temperatures reaching as low as -18C with the windchill (thats about 0 degrees F). Normally we get maybe about a ft of snow and then over the next 2-3 days it gets rained away XD;;; But I suppose its nice to have a white Christmas
Now its rather windy and the power will probably be out any moment >.<;;; So I must be off!

I was finishing up cosplays for this past weekend. I made my way down to San Fran. in CA for Yaoi con ^^

Now Im not a fan of yaoi by any means lol XD >.< But a lot of people I knew were going that I wouldnt get to see otherwise, so I said what the hey! XD

And I actually had a fantastic time! ^^

I personally, am having my concerns attending the con just because Im sure if I want to support it anymore (after hearing some of the issues that have been going on) Im not going to get into the details, but Im just not impressed...at all.

Recently they found a new venue, so the convention will still be going on as planned with the original dates however a completely new venue, which isnt leaving too many people happy either.

Im having a hard time deciding if I want to go to the convention or not. I have KumoriCon in the states the weekend *right* after so am really debating just skipping AE and using that extra time/$$ towards KC.
But then, I agreed to help out with a panel at AE =_= And I will get to hang out with more of my local friends.

I was also planning on quitting my job right before AE and take about a month off (as I know I wouldnt get the time off if I asked for it, and Ive been thinking of quitting for a LONG time now V__V) And I have to give them *preferably* more than two weeks notice.
So I really need to decide what Im doing, because it affects a lot more than just going to the convention or not >.<

So GAH @__@ So much to decide.... Im leaning more towards just going to AE for the day (of the panel), not getting a badge or anything and just hang out.
We shall see....

ANYWHO.... Im really stoked for KumoriCon tho ^^
I am hopefully doing quite a few cosplays 0_0 NEED TO START T__T *epic fail*
Looks like Ill be joining in a Soul Eater group, Princess Tutu group, possibly Shaman King group, some Death Note and Hitman Reborn ^^

Im deffinitly going to try to attend more, because I had lots of fun this weekend and got to meet so many awesome people! And see others that I havnt hung out with since Febuary TT__TT

I cosplayed Reborn, from Katekyo Hitman Reborn for most of the day and then for the last little bit threw on [ghetto] Allen Waker from D. Gray Man ^^ <3

I was lucky enough to get my picture taken by some awesome photographers ^^ <3 *kolibri-chan took some fantastic shots of Reborn that I am so ecstatic over!! X3 and then the Lovely ladies from O'snap got some of my Allen that I cannot WAIT to see~~

Will hopefully be uploading some of them up on here over the week.

I headed down to Seattle, WA a couple weeks after I got home, to attend Gasukan 6.0 (a local monthly cosplay gathering). Although I missed the actual meetup I was able to see everyone, as they waited for me at dinner and then we all went to see Kung Fu Panda, with who else but Epic times 8D
And then a 4am trip to Denny's that we will by-pass because .... just.... yaaa =_=

Ive had a couple little photo-shoots with friends (and you can see some of my new pics up in my gallery) ^^ I was really happy to get to take pics in a couple areas that I have been eyeing around where I live.

But anywho.... I was possibly going to be attending AX, but in the end its just too much with the increase price of plane tickets right now ;__;
And it seems that my plans for Otakon fell through as well. Which is ok I guess as I can save up more for new cosplays and not be 'HOMG poor' for the cons I am going to be attending.

So for sure I will be at Anime Evolution in BC, as well as KumoriCon in OR (?) at the end of August ^^

Another cosplay I am pondering on is Crown Clown Allen Walker from DGM. I love DGM and have wanted to cosplay from it for awhile (not counting my fangirl crush on Allen XD) Also, Death the Kid from Soul Eater. As not many people know this about me but I have OCD XD and actually *always* have to be even (if you poke me on one side I have to poke my other to even myself out), so when I learned about Death I thought "OI! Ill be in character XD"

And then later on in september I will be doing Zero from Vampire Kight, and Ichimaru Gin from Bleach!~

SO! LOTS of new cosplays =_= We'll see how it all goes down XDD No trips to Japan this time around to burn a hole in my wallet lol.

I drove down to WA on Wednesday night and stayed over at 's. We didnt get much sleep as we went to bed rather late... or I guess early XD That was my fault as I chit chat too much and dont shuddup XD lol~
We woke up Thursday morning and did some errands, made breakfast and got ready and headed on over to 's house where I parked my car and we headed for the airport ^^
At the airport we met up with who like JUST made it, good job man XD rofl and then because of the silly seating arrangements on the plane we all managed to sit next to/around one another and totally creep out/probably aggrivate everyone around us XD

Got to the con around 5 ish and checked into the hotel room. Everyone else started showing up and I got to finally meet and who both totally rock!~ Cant remember too much XD *fail* other than Im sure we went to scavange for food, checked out the sale thingy mabobber where we met Pikminlink and discussed Speed Racer for about an hour XD and then I know for a couple hours myself and my friend Jill were on the phone to multiple airline companies and courriers trying to find a way to express ship a bunch of wigs *that arrived at my house in Canada AFTER I left for the con*. No luck, and a MONSTEROUS phone bill later T__T We gave up and then just watched some AMV's and chatted with everyone etc.

::Friday::

Yay! Woke up crazy early to get in line for registration... because and myself rock and didnt pre-reg ;__; Today was a DeathNote day so we all got in our respected DN cosplays (except I was super lazy so opted to put on Near for the reg line up and Dani just put on Matt's wig XD). The reg line wasnt actually that bad, however they were about half hour late =_= but all cons have some minor first day glitches yes?
Got our badges, met up with the losers who had pre/early reg'd and then went back to the hotel room where we put on our real cosplays for the day. I realised on the way down there that I actually had everything to do Mikami XD and luckily enough had brought her Lambo wig, which worked pretty decently for Mikami XD X3 So I was able to do Mikami *yay* I had wanted to cosplay him for awhile, and it was a lot of fun ^^
Later friday evening we changed out of DN and put on Lucky Star!~ This was pretty intense =_= Dani, Jazmin, Jill and myself did the four main cast of LS and the response was incredible XD We would barely walk a few feet before being asked for more pictures ^^ It was quite the experience <3 And I totally fail and didnt recognize him, but we actually got our photos taken by a photographer I greatly admire: Lionel ^^ So that was super awesome!
Headed back to the hotel where the others decided to go to the rave. Im not a big rave person and I had lots of cosplay stuff to get done so I hijacked the room and worked on cosplay stuffs. Which ended up being a pain..... and moves into Saturday~

::Saturday::

STILL WORKING ON BASIL'S WEAPON AT 5 AM T__T
Finished just as everyone came back to the room from the rave. I headed up to my room and went to bed XD
Woke up at 10:45, ironed my hakama for Hitsugaya and then threw on Basil and ran to the KHR meet up at 11:30. Although I showed up about 15 min late ;__; most of the group pics were already taken but it was still nice to see a large turnout. Probably about 20 - 30 I would think. It was epicly awesome and deffinitly a dream come true ^^ A HUGE thank you goes out to my Friend Amanda who let me stay with her for two weeks and during *her* break took me around to places and hung out with me, thank you SO MUCH once again ^^

I dont even know where to begin, and I plan to write a large journal entry about it in one of my other blogs so I will just do some quick point form.

- BLEACH ROCK MUSICAL: THE ALL and BLEACH: LIVE BANKAI SHOW 002 now officially own my soul =_= they were absolutly amazing and just .... *_* wow.... we were SO close that I could see the crease in their costumes and texture of the wigs....not too mention the cast came out into the audience numerous times and I had multiple characters *cough* GIN/HITSUGAYA *cough* standing right next to me XDDD
- Went to the Ghibli Museum
- Saw Matsumoto Castle in the Nagano preficture
- Went to Mt. Fuji
- Disney Sea (which was actually my first ever Disney experience XD)
- Sakura festival and viewing in Ueno Park
- Tokyo Tower
- Epic 300 step climb to the incredible shrine in Minobu XD
- Tokyo Anime Fair/Show
- Cosplay gathering at Toshimaen (around 350 - 500 of Tokyo's creme de la creme of cosplayers)
- Harajuku, Akihabara and Ikebukuro X3

Thats some of the *big* things (or at least my personal faves) ^^
I also brought home a couple new "outfits" so be on the watch for new pics!~

Anywho....I dont plan to update this as often as my c.com, however DA seems to be a good site for finding people (oh gad its like Facebook 0_0).

My other account (which has gone quite un-noticed for the past 3-4 years XD) will stay up as well and I will keep it for my landscape photography (that hopefully I will get more into this year - after I make my large camera purchase XD).
