New Bookmarks!

Hey everyone! finally my tassels came and I was able to put together my new bookmarks!

All bookmarks are approximately 6 1/2 inches tall by 2 inches wide. Printed on card stock and slid into a protective sleeve. Each with a Chainette bookmark tassel in the color willow green.

I finally got out to Staples and MichealÂs craft store. So IÂm crossing off things on the check list! Just a few more items to get for now. Still waiting for my business cards to come in the mail, but I chose a slow shipping price so it will be withing 21 days, bah! Oh well. My bookmarks look great they just need tassels now! I have another progress picture of my recent painting. Its coming along well but its taking time, since it turns out there is quite a bit of detail in this piece! But IÂm loving how its coming out thus far, and I hope its finished within the next few days. I will probably put it up on eBay when it is ready. Keep an eye out for it.

Hey everyone! working on my new painting. Just got the random idea to call it jack-o-dragon for now! not sure if Ill keep that nameÂ but it works,may be a bit whimsical. I think its going to turn out pretty nice! I have a progress picture to show off for now! IÂm sure Ill get more work done on it tomorrow. Id like to get it finished as Halloween approaches! Hes kind of a mix between the eastern and western style of dragons, with some long furs! I plan to make it look dark and spooky. Check back for updates on this piece!

I finally figured out how to get a decent shopping cart running here on the new website You can now easily purchase prints or originals via paypal, paypal also allows you to pay via a credit card ! I have set up payment buttons on the Prints Page and the Originals Page. Shipping for all items is a flat rate of $5.00 and purchase multiple items to save on shipping. I soon hope to be adding more products like bookmarks, its just a matter of getting down to the craft store and ordering some things online. Cant wait to do that! im excited to get things on a roll here.

Website Updates and Prints!

The website has received an update and a few new features have been added. One of the changes has to do with prints. Yes, finally I have prints again! They are all 8 1/2 x 11 inches on acid free paper. I also have a bunch of great original artÂ paintings and sculpturesÂlooking for a good home.

It's now easier to search for and to order originals and prints. You can use the menu to the left to look at all of the original pieces and prints that are available. They're also featured at random here on the front page. To buy simply click on the thumbnail image then choose to purchase either the original or the print. Enter your e-mail address and send me your shipping details (postal code and/or country) and I will get back to you quickly with the total and payment options.

In general art news, I'm working on a commission just now, but I think I will be taking a break from them after this. Sculptures arent so bad to do but I'm going to be picky as I hoped to do some more original artwork the way I wanted and when I wanted. I just need that freedom and would like to come out with more paintings, create a nice new collection of good art for next years Con and any other festivals I may choose to attend that come up.

~Updated Website~
I've again changed the look and feel and have finally settled in something I really like! I've added a neat little feature which is a corner picture that randomly changes each time to you click a link on the page or refresh. This is my new favorite feature because I finally feel my web space is well represented by showing my visitors the variety of artwork I can do on first impression. I take full credit for the design. I chose the colors, layout and made the designs for the navigation as well as the logo and corner pictures. Im so proud of me and the skill I have developed in photoshop, even though what I know about the program is minimal hehe. My hubby is the one who coded it all together to make it fit properly. Im not so actively involved in Deviant Art as I am in my Live journal and Elfwood. But I decided to add a couple more paintings of mine including one that was just featured as Mod's choice on Elfwood, I got such a wonderful response I thought it would be a good idea to feature it here. My Husband and I just updated my web site and changed around the design again in yet another attempt to make it feel professional but still keep the creative Candace feeling. Im very happy with how it turned out with my new and improved custom made background. I got rid of many of the buttons to help keep it looking organized and neat. But I still have the cool highlighting affect with the mouse over on my buttons.

I added a page for some prints that Im selling, there is a very wide selection, many of which are prints of paintings that you see in my gallery here. Here is the link for anyone that interested.

Branching off a little.

"Branching off a little"

Well this is my first entry on my journal with deviant art. I thought is was about time I wrote a little something. The day is winding down and Im sitting at the computer with my love bird Houdini who keeps climbing in the sleeve of my robe he he. I thought I would write a little something about this new medium I have found. Usually my paintings are large oil on canvas bored paintings of dragons, but lately I have felt the need to branch out a bit and try something new. I found out about canvas pad, its basically the canvas material that you but like a large pad of watercolor paper, but canvas pad is more flexible and designed mainly for acrylic, so it seems anyway. I bought some new brushes and acrylic paints and have been busy painting away with my new found mediums and Im just loving them! So far I have only listed on painting here on deviant art called tranquility since it is one of my best out of three. Im very proud of it and hope to come out with some more soon!
