On another note, last week, my love and I went to grab some quick groceries, but as we got about a block or two from the store, the car was making a funny noise. It turned out that our one tire that had a really slow leak in it decided to finally flatten altogether, WHY?!?!? Unless we find a place having a deal on our tires, that's going to be a $100 fix, And that's if my boyfriend's really slow driving on the way home didn't ruin the rims, because that would be an even bigger fix,
(Update: Finally got the tire replaced after riding on the "donut" for a couple of days (just short in-town driving, lol) and we found a good deal on a used tire for only $35, where a new tire would've been $120, )


Yes! That's right, Christmas is just around the corner!! And so is my birthday, lmao. My birthday Dec 19th and it has always screwed me over because people are always like "Oh, here is your birthday and Christmas present" as they hand me one wrapped gift, lmao. *shrug* Oh well, lmao.

So, I just got off from a long and super-boring Sunday night closing shift and I go to chill out on my computer until I have wound own enough to fall asleep. I was just reading up on the newest messages in my usual haunts on Howrse.com and then it was on the my dA page. Clicking the New Tab button and the Home gets me there quickly. I see a few new messages, pretty slow, no notes, like usual. Just a bunch of new equine art to oogle through and new journals, couple polls to vote in. And it was an even slower night for me as none of my new messages were of comments or even replies,

Then, done with cleaning out my messages, I clicked back to my homepage, not really sure what I was going to do next, there was still possibly new e-mails to check in my Hotmail account. But, as soon as my main dA page loaded, I noticed something different... What's this?!?!

"Last" Update for a While, (I hope), LMAO

Ok, so at the very least, this is GREAT NEWS!!!!

My Art files have ALL BEEN SAFELY RETRIEVED!!!!

I seriously am thinking about just switching to Linux, LMAO. Linux saved my life!!!

So, for you other computer geeks out there, check this out!!

So, my bf wanted to copy some files for a coworker of his and my bf had moved the files from his computer onto mine shortly before this. My bf plugged in his coworker's USB external HD and started to copy the files. Suddenly, my computer "Blue Screen of Death"ed (BSoD) in the middle of it. My bf restarts my computer; it fortunately logs back into Windows [seemingly] just fine. He starts copying a different "chunk" of the files the friend wanted. Another BSoD. Restart again and loads into Windows. My bf moves the external drive onto his own computer and then begins to copy the files through the network. MY computer BSoDs again!! Ok, so at this point, my bf narrows it down to something on my system causing it, apparently corrupt files. Now, by the time I'm getting home from work, my bf tells me the bad news, and by that point, my computer was no longer able to load into either of my operating systems (WindowsXP Pro 32bit, Windows Vista Corp 64bit), so now my computer is pretty much toast. I tried pulling the HD out of my computer and put it as the third SATA HD in my bf's computer (because he was already using 2 HDs) and I could see HIS operating systems in the list, like I should've, but then neither of those would load either!! (WindowsXP Pro 64bit and Windows 7 64bit) So, now I was REALLY thinking it was toast!!

Now, I went to bed thinking I was screwed! I wake up and my bf had been trying one last thing... It was called a "Linus Live CD" and it basically lets you load right into a Linux operating system without actually installing anything to the computer. So, it actually loads into Linux!! Already a great start! Ok, now to check for HDs... It SEES my HD! So far, so great!! First place I tell him to run to and check to copy first, MY ART!! I kinda bitched at me for it being 9 GB in just my artwork, but it's totally worth it!! Ok, so he had the space for it and it starts the copying... It starts! That's already awesome! Tears fill my eyes as I sit and wait out the whole 9 GB! 70%... 80%... 90%... 98... 100%!!!!!!!

Looking for Tips and Advice, please!!

So, I FINALLY got a chance to drive out to our nearest Hobby Lobby and I picked up over $50 worth of supplies I needed, lmao.

Here is where I need help, hehe. I've never modified a Breyer model horse before and I would hate to do something horribly wrong and ruin the model, . So, I need to know the method that others use for making additions to a Breyer model by using Sculpey (just the original). As in, how do I bake the clay? I'm highly doubting that the Breyer would last in the oven, even at the low 275 degrees F the Sculpey asks for, but I read somewhere that someone else boils their Sculpey, model and all, because I guess that would cook the clay enough but doesn't melt the model (and this was for a My Little Pony mod, so a much softer plastic than a Breyer model), but I don't know any of the details, like for how long to boil, etc.

Otherwise, I'm assuming I have to shape my pieces as they would fit onto the Breyer model, carefully remove them, bake, and then glue on? BUT, I'm then worried about the clay shrinking/warping during the baking process, therefore no longer would fit correctly to the model. So, if someone could maybe just confirm or deny this fact, please let me know if you know if Sculpey clay changes shape at all while baking.

This is Getting Annoying...

*sigh* I wish I would've bought a Wacom,

Anyway, I have an Adesso CyberTablet and I've always noticed this little glitch, but I don't know if it's the tablet or Photoshop CS3. As I'm drawing, some of my strokes just ignore the pen pressure sometimes, like it goes by the maximum size of the brush if the pen pressure is set to control the size.

Has anyone else experienced this with any tablet or any program and were you able to fix it?

This has gone on over the entire, like almost two years now that I've had it. So, it's been re-installed, installed on Windows XP, XP 64-bit, and Vista 64-bit.

Oh, and speaking of Vista, does anyone know how to completely remove/disable the Vista feature called "Pen Flicks"? I found the little checkbox for "disabling Pen Flicks" in it, BUT simply moving my pen across my tablet STILL attempts to open the Pen Flicks program. You know all those little icons that show up by the clock? I will end up with literally 20 of them for just Pen Flicks after 30 seconds of trying to draw and my computer will start to seriously lag. Is it possible to uninstall Pen Flicks?

Efforts on One Important Piece...

Ok, so first off, PLEASE keep sending me in ideas for what YOU guys all are looking for out of an adoptable! It sounds like I'm going to have a little bit of everything, lmao.


On to the main news, hehe. So, I'm putting all of my art work on hold right now because I really want to put my efforts towards making an entry for the month's *color-me-club contest. It is actually a theme I can work with and for the first time ever, this contest will be looked at by the art director and project manager of a start-up videogame company, Ale Interactive. So, I know there are going to be a ton more entries than usual because of this, so I won't have a shot at actually winning, but so long as I put everything I have into an amazing piece, I can at least get noticed.

Ok, so I'm hoping to make more adoptables here in the near future, but this time, I would like some feedback before I start,

I'm looking for suggestions for what my watchers might be looking for out of an adoptable. Hints:

Simple vs detailed?
Natural vs fantasy colors?
Horse vs Pegasus/Unicorn/Mix?

Others!! I'm open to all kinds of ideas! Maybe even the more SUGGESTIONS, the MORE ADOPTABLES!!! WOOTS!!

Oh, and by the way, please let me know which method you guys think would be better: First comment to request a certain number, that number gets reserved until a certain deadline (most likely a month from the start of the adoptables opening) _OR_ just the first person to post a link to a completed personal drawing of the one they want, wins that one?

After a recent issue on dA, I became quite disheartened by how incredibly unoriginal my character design for Candrence turned out to be, . So, I have decided to create a NEW character. She won't be named Candrence anymore, it will be Sangria, .

Flooding

***Update***

So far, the dikes around town are built to 43 feet and so far, the river has gotten up to 40.88, but it went down a little today, but if we get any warm-enough days to cause more of our piles of snow to melt or rain, etc, the river could just keep rising. The river isn't expected to reach its "crest" until sometime tomorrow. All schools in Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead are canceled for next week until further notice (lucky kids, lol). The temperature today actually only got to 25 above, but there was so much direct sunlight that a ton of snow has been melting. It is predicted to get to almost 40 degrees over the next couple of days! Noooo!

Well, at least we (my love and I) are ready for the worst-case scenario and/or evacuation. Emergency supplies put together an a duffel bag packed up. If the city turns off the water and power, I'll be forced to be offline for who knows how long. I will try to get a super-quick message on here to tell you guys if I know beforehand that they are going to turn off the power; but otherwise, I might be offline for a while.

Just start/continue to pray for us if you pray at all, . Pray that the dikes all hold up and that the river doesn't breach the 43-foot mark of the dikes.






***Original Post***

This predicted to be a record flood since 1897. We had a bunch of places closed (including the massive mall) in hopes to get more people available for volunteering to sandbag. It started out as a big blizzard dumping a record 10 inches over two days and most of the schools were closed both days and all travel (even in-town) was highly discouraged. After the blizzard, we had a spell of a bunch of warm days, causing rapid melting of all the snow piled up. This was the first mention of a possible flood, mostly talking about flooding in the streets because the piles of snow were all covering the sewer drains. But also they were predicting some kind of flooding from the Red River, so the sandbagging started. But now we got hit with a bit more snow and a cold day, so they had to fill the sandbags in the Fargo Dome (that's basically the huge building that all the major concerts and sports occur) and the bags had to be moved quickly from the Dome to the dikes before the bags froze because they can't place frozen bags. Howrse Black Pearl

Ok, so, from now UNTIL APRIL 1st, the online equine game, Howrse.com, is making the Black Market item the "Black Pearl" available. This item let's you submit your OWN custom drawing of a horse coat that ANYONE can use on Howrse if they get the "Golden Apple" Black Market item. So, my advice is what ideas you guys have for me. Now, I need it to be a Pegasus because I want my best horses to be a Pegasus before I use my own Golden Apples on them.

Now, I'm looking for a great idea for a Pegasus design that other Howrse members will actually want to pick for their horses. ANY colors and designs can be used.

I had one idea come to mind last night, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it, lol. It's a Pegasus with branches for her wings' "skeleton" and the leaves for feathers.

It has just been brought to my attention that the love of my life, my boyfriend, just had a cousin that was his age, maybe a year older (so 23 or 24) shot himself. I won't say any names or locations out of respect. But the event was horrible. Details are still slim, but so far it sounds like there was a relationship issue, been drinking heavily lately. It happened at a party when he got into an argument and then went to his room and shot himself, :'-(. He had so much life ahead of him, :'-(. It's not right!!

Anyway, now I'm just rambling for a moment so you'll have to actually open the journal to see the winners, :-P lol

So, yeah... To start off with, I'll explain my decisions.

I wanted to pick unique stallions, first off. Obviously something you wouldn't find in real life, lol. It seemed only fitting since both of my OCs, Candrence or Blue Topaz, are unique mares in colors and patterns, etc.

Another reason, I was looking for a mate for each mare that will blend well with the mare's colors/patterns to create an even more unique foal, . I enjoy blending completely different horses to make something that does NOT just look like a huge ball of random colors, like a kid with Play-Doh. So, for my mostly-black horse, I was looking to add some fun colors, so I needed a colorful stallion for her.

Anyway, I hope that helps a little.

Now, for another quick piece of information, due to the number of entries and the fact that there are TWO categories, I dropped 3rd place positions.

Ready for the winners yet? lol Speaking of contests and winners, the liquor I work at, started a contest about the beginning of December for the employees to try to sell liquor items over $25 and wine items over $15, and whoever got the most number of items per category would win a bundle of prizes collected from our liquor sales distributors. Now, my point of bringing this up is because we just found out today who won each category, I won the most wine sales!!!!!! WOOT!!! I won this perfectly awesome bag that has a shoulder strap and it's perfect for putting my art binder and all my other art supplies on me! This bag also looks like it was also meant to carry a laptop in it, but it's not padded at all, which I've always seen bags made for laptops are padded like crazy.

Well, the past couple of days, I've been picking up some extra shifts at work to help my mom out (we work at the same place, lol), which means I've been hanging out with my boss more (which is nice because she's really nice and I could almost call her a friend, but it's still professional). So, today, while I was working, my boss was helping a customer out with his couple of cases of beer and when she came back in, she says to me, "Oh, hey, I found this the other day and you were the first person I thought of..." She hands me a flier stating that on Nov 2nd, Jewel will be playing IN MY TOWN!!!!!! OMG!! I have loved Jewel for years and I have every album she ever made (including the live ones), couple of her books, you name it. I've never been to any live concerts except a Big Tent Revival concert in my home town.

So, my only problem was convincing my boyfriend not only to let me buy one ticket, but buy TWO because I have to drag him along, lmao. It even worked out that the concert is on his day off, woots!!

After waiting about 8 hours for my boyfriend to get his sleep in before work, shortly after he woke up, I explained to him about my secret stash of money, hehe. He knows I've had a stash before because we were both grateful for it when we had an emergency bill come up when in 2 weeks' time, we had to replace 3 of our car tires! But, the car has been running fine, last wheel is still plenty good, after our Nov bills are taken care of, we'll still have a little bit left over, so, he agreed!!!

WOOOOOOT!!!!!111!!!!11!1!1!1

Oh, and I got FLOOR SEATS!!! YAY!!!

He was about 13 or 14 years old and my male parent had been taking care of him for these years since he was too selfish to let one of use take care of him.

I was told by my older sister that Einstein was starting to have troubles walking up stairs, not keeping food down, and licking the hair off his legs. My male parent was seriously thinking about putting him down (without so much as informing my sisters and I about this major decision...) but procrastinated and Einstein fell asleep one night and didn't wake up in the morning.

My male parent buried Einstein in the backyard instead of cremating him, It would have been nice to have been given a part of Einstein to hold on to, :'-(

On a positive note, Happy Labor Day! I spent my day with my boyfriend, melting faces (figure of speech, :-P) in PvP battles in World of Warcraft. We managed to get over 14,000 Honor Points before then doing our minimum 10 Arena (we just do the 2 vs 2) games for the week and actually win more than we lost, lmao (7 to 3)! I think we have a pretty good team setup right now. I've been playing my Affliction/Demonology Warlock with my boyfriend's Restoration/Elemental Shaman, lol. What is really funny is the fact that my boyfriend is still in green-quality "mana-regen" gear with still mostly blue-quality Enhancement gear with only a handful of epic-quality healing pieces, most of which is through our Honor Points.

It's been a lot of fun, lol. I used to hate PvP (and I still curse when a rogue rapes me pretty instantly still, lmao) but I forgot how much fun a WARLOCK can be in PvP, especially at level 70!! My hunter does decent in PvP (maybe she'll do better if she has a healing shaman following her around everywhere, lmao) and I used to PvP with my priest back when she was level 39, twinked to save up Honor Points for the PvP healing gear for that level. Needless to say, the Alliance fell in love with her pretty quickly, lol. They love a devoted healer on the Warsong Gulch Flag Carrier, lmao. Awww, the good ol' days,

You know, I wasn't even supposed to be at work today, lmao. (hehe, those Clerks fans will get it)

Anyway, yeah, so I picked up a shift for tonight because I'm just that cool, lol. I'm kinda glad I did, actually, lol. Let me explain.

Basically, at sometime around 7:30, a man apparently came into the store (remember, I work at a liquor store, lol) and just bought a 1.75 of Phillips Vodka (current;y the "vodka of the week" meaning that it was on sale, so a lot of people had bought one) and also grabbed a bag of ice with it... Seems just normal. So normal that we are still not sure who it was.....

So, shortly after this completely unnoticed event, a customer was making his purchase and happened to mention that it looked like someone hit a pole outside the store. My coworker and I weren't sure what he was talking about and we looked out, but couldn't see what he was talking about, except for possibly this car facing our store but parked on the other side of the parking lot (which is another business's side), so we thought it was just parked there.

So, then pretty much right at 8pm, we start hearing sirens and we hear a lot of sirens for the store being on Main, but this wasn't driving past... At the max, there were 5 cop cars, an ambulance, and a firetruck in the parking lot...

Apparently, after this guy made his purchase from our store and walked out, got into his car, put it in reverse, and then had a HEART ATTACK!!! Drove straight backwards, hitting the pole right next to that other business (so it actually just looked like he parked there since you can't see the trunk damage from in front of it)...

The cops had this guy on the ground, trying to revive him for a good 20 minutes before declaring him dead and hauling him away in an ambulance.

One of the cops asked both my coworker and I to try and identify him, but neither of us could really recognize him at all.

The only thing I am SURE about is that I was NOT the one that sold to him, lol. His 1.75 bottle was found in a paper bag and I always put those bottles into a plastic bag (unless it's a glass one) unless the customer asks for paper. (This, on top of the fact that pretty much my entire day of work [at least, before all this happened] consisted of me on my hands and knees scrubbing a section of the store floor that had been under some pallets and neglected for years. The Floor So, not exactly helping a lot of customers, lol.)

It was hilarious to see the cops actually use Crime Scene tape to block it off, lol. I watched one of the cops take the bag of ice out of the car and take a picture of it. Then, took out the bag with the booze in it, took a pic of that, and then took the bottle out to take a pic of that, lmao.

Crime Scene??

The guy was only 43,



Anyway, sorry for the long journal, I just had to get it out.

Should I continue doing free art?

Now, I've been doing art as favors and gifts to a lot of people lately and that's not my issue, lol. My issue is when a couple of those people already don't even appreciate the gesture.

For example, the crown drawing ( [link] ) which I was asked by my manager to do but it turns out that the company decided to go through somebody else.

Another example is the most recent and it has to do with the Resilience guild banner ( [link] ). Now that I finally have it complete and it's up on the website, I was having a conversation with one of the guild masters and she had the guts to say she feels that my "heart isn't in the guild" What?! Yes, I spend months of my personal time on something that my heart isn't in...

Now, I've never thought my work was good enough to charge, so I'm afraid that if I start charging, no one will want art from me anymore. I'm just losing my heart to people who look a gift horse in the mouth.

*shrug* Anyway, just a lot of things going wrong right now and putting me in a sad mood,

Funny thing is: Bismarck, ND (about 13 miles from Menoken) had been raining pretty solid for the past 3 weeks. We even drove through one heavy down-pouring of rain on the 3-hour drive from Fargo, ND but we dodged a lot of storms to the north and south of us as we drove west, lol. (We get to look behind us at the backsides of the storms and we got to first see a beautiful solid rainbow with a faint one with it {and I left my camera in my duffel bag in the truck for the drive, } and later down the road, another very bright rainbow by itself.) But, as far as the weather at the Rally, couldn't ask for better!! It only sprinkled for maybe 30 seconds on the first day (Friday) after all the tents were up and all bags were already inside. Then, another 30 seconds of light rain on the second day right after the Governor of North Dakota left after showing his support for Abate (Abate is a Motorcycle Safety Corp. that puts on Menoken Grove as well as many other events to raise money; Menoken is just the biggest of the year). So, otherwise, bright and sunny. And I am as crispy as bacon from the sun now, lmao.

Also, lately, my boyfriend has been trying to convince me to switch over to this new MMORPG (Multi-Mass Online Role-Playing Game) that came out called "Age of Conan."

It just came out and it's biggest selling point is that it's actually rated Mature, so [technically] only ages 17 and over can play (I, of course, say "technically" because we all know that there are going to be all kinds of kids that'll convince their parents to buy it for them). Why did it get the M rating? Oh, just merely "Blood and Gore," "Intense Violence," "Nudity" (so far, looks like only completely topless but a super tiny g-string for a bottom), "Language," and "Sexual Themes."

I'm not 100% sold on it yet. Yeah, graphics are great (well, I'm running on Low settings since I need to add a chip of RAM. I'm at 1.5 GB and I think that 1 GB is the min, lol), the play style is excellent (true "AoE" {Area of Effect} to where swinging a sword will hit more than one enemy if they are near you; looks like spells work the same way).

It just bums me out to try to start over with a new game.

Yes, it royally sucked, . Didn't help that it landed on Mother's Day and everyone employed was either out of town or just decided to not return my call.

Oh, and there is this girl I work with that is a total biotch and drama queen. From the time I started working there, she's been trying all she can to get me fired. I've tried talking to her about it like a human being, but she turns the table and accuses me of hating her. That was months ago and we just avoid getting scheduled together since, but lately it's bee unavoidable. Every time she talks to me, I confirm that she was lying about almost all of it by the next time I'm working. The stupid, spoiled little brat doesn't even need this job (she only works one, maybe 2, days a week and doesn't have any other job).

Soooo, yeah...

I just hate looking for a new job, . How does something like this even sound on an application for the 'Reason for Leaving Last Job' section?: "Got tired of putting up with workplace drama." lol

Wow! Just wow...

Ok, back in April of '07, my boyfriend and I moved to where we live right now. At the same time, we finally ditched his '83 Pontiac Grand Prix and got ourselves a used '01 Dodge Stratus. At the time that we bought it, it was actually still under 50,000 miles on it, so it hadn't really been driven that much.

So, that was back in April. We had to buy a new tire back in Nov, I think it was. But, the major "wow" only happened a couple weeks ago.

We'd been having some problems with starting the car since about a month after we bought it. It was popping a fuse labeled "Ignition/Fuel something." After it went through an entire package of 20 Amp fuses, my boyfriend just threw in a 25 Amp to hold us over and to actually get the car started. That worked for a couple months, right up until recently. Turns out, the starter went out, . So, it ended up costing us over $200 in parts and labor for a new one, .

Then, not even a WEEK later...

My boyfriend drove the car to work and called me almost as soon as he got to work. He called to tell me that the rear driver-side tire was leaking really bad, so he might be a little late coming home since he'll have to refill it. But, at around the time when my boyfriend should've already been home after work, I hear this loud noise coming from outside. I look out the window and from where I was looking, I could see the passenger-side of the car, not the driver-side. I look at the car and I see the FRONT PASSENGER tire is completely BLOWN!! Yeah, gone! The noise I heard was my boyfriend riding on the rim the rest of the way. Thank god for the recent snow that helped pad the ground!! We did get a good deal on new tires. They were higher quality that their cheapest, but they had 300 miles on them already, so we were fine with that. Still cost us another $195 for parts and labor for those, .

A lot of my absence lately has been because I've been trying to pick up as many extra hours at my job as I can. At this rate, I'll never be able to save up enough for even a short subscription on dA, . I'm just really glad that we don't have a child to care for right now in our lives. For as much as I long to have a kid someday, I guess I should be counting my blessings that I am physically unable to get pregnant, . Well, that's what adoption is for.

I don't really have a lot of news to post. My Christmas was nice. Spent most of it with my love and my mother. Christmas Eve kinda sucked. It wasn't even that bad that I had to work, like, 6 hours. I got to drink alcohol at work for a little bit, lol (joys of working at a liquor store, lmao). I didn't get drunk at all, though. I also had a huge buzz kill about an hour before I got to leave. My father called my mother's cell phone while we (my mother and I work together) were at work, so I asked if I could answer and wish him a Merry Christmas. So, I did. First thing my father asks me about is where my youngest sister is (she's currently 17 and hopping around between my father's place, my mother's, and a place they put run-aways and such) because my mother had custody of her for a week for Christmas, but my father thought he got her for the actual day of Christmas (why would he if we have to drive 3 HOURS ONE WAY between my mother's and my father's house!!!). So, we start talking about that, and somehow got onto how he never called me for my birthday on Dec 19th (only 6 days before Christmas and he doesn't call??) and then he says "screw you up the butt" only that was censored version. Eventually he starts yelling at me for "stealing" even though all I ever took was the rest of my own things he didn't let me take out when I was actually moving out. Then, he yells at me saying that he's all alone of Christmas (I'm the second oldest of 4 daughters, only one is left under 18) and I yelled back at him that it was his own damn fault and hung up. That's the last I ever spoke to him and I have no desire to ever talk to him. When he is still this much (if not worse than he used to be) even after a near-death motorcycle accident that I took the first possible bus to go see him after, it's no longer worth my time to bother with him.

Anyway... Oh, I hate my boss, lol. We have plenty of SINGLE people that can work Valentine's Day... She knows full well that I have a boyfriend of 3 years. It's not only the holiday, but the fact that I've asked her multiple times to not schedule me for any Thursdays or Fridays and she said that was fine. I guess I'll just chalk it up to my boss being a complete pot-head (which is confirmed to be true, lmao).

Well, on a more POSITIVE note, I finally got my Draenei Priest, Sarendipity, to level 70, It was actually about a month ago now that she actually got 70, but I've just been so caught up in everything there is to do once you get 70, lol. There is an updated reference of her in my Scraps. I plan on making a picture of her sometime in the near future. She's still getting new gear each week, so I might have to wait until I get most of what I want for her, lol. We'll see, hehe.

Wow! It's already December! We'd been having some nice and comfortable weather right up until the 1st of Dec when we got a huge snowfall that started heavy before normal people wake up in the morning, right up until 9pm or so that night, making for a LOT of snow. Winter isn't so bad, except for all the snow, If it could just fall everywhere BUT the roads and sidewalks, it'd be cool, lol.

Anyway, on another, happier, my birthday is coming up very soon, The 19th of Dec, to be exact. It's always a bummer having a birthday so close to Christmas. Everyone seems to think that it's ok to just give a single present and say it's both my Christmas and Birthday present, *sigh* Oh well, not like I'll be getting any gifts this year from anyone besides my mother who lives in town and from maybe my boyfriend. The rest of my family lives at least 3-hour drives away from where I am living right now. Well, I'll probably get maybe $10 in a card from my living grandfather. My father? Bah! He can't even call me to wish me a Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas. My 3 sisters? My oldest sister (age: 28) is having financial troubles herself. Younger sister (18) will probably be spending Christmas with her boyfriend. My youngest sister (17) is currently locked up (not in jail, but in those juvenile correctional centers (called the "Boys' and Girls' Ranch" here) due to all kinds of things that would just make your hair stand on end! Let's just say that she seems to have a problem in figuring out how to keep her clothes on, regardless of the age or criminal record...

First off, my new job is at a local liquor store, so it ought to be some fun, . Just sucks that I'm not much of a drinker at all, lmao. Oh well, good place to learn the stuff, lol.

Second, my new projects. As I have mentioned before, I have started on a new World of Warcraft© Fan Art piece. This new one will be a group shot of a few guildmates and myself that got together for some poses. I'm currently taking my time doing the lining part. I'm trying to do a little at a time and not rush myself. I'm trying to go as accurate and detailed as I can. Most of my reference shots are pretty clear, so that's helpful. One of the other things that's taking so long is the fact that I'm in the process of removing two undeserving players from the shot for personal reasons. This is at least making it easier to add a friend that wasn't able to make it for the initial shoot, lol.

On another note, I am also waiting to hear back from a fellow dA member with a sketch of a collaboration he wants to work on with me, . I'm really excited about it because it's the first ever collab I'll have ever done and he is an AWESOME line artist! My pictures look like stick figures compared to his! I also noticed that I'm getting close to the 1,000 views mark! I'm actually really shocked and excited about that, . I'm not sure what's so special about my gallery that keeps getting me all these views, but I'd like to say THANK YOU!!! to all of you out there that are viewing my chicken scratch, lol. It gives me a warm feeling inside.

I haven't been posting lately because I've been rather busy. After loosing my job, it really brought to light how badly I'd love to just make artwork for a living, lol. But isn't that every artist's dream? I don't think I have near the skills to make any good money from my hard work, but, alas, I've still been trying to make some really nice pieces lately. "Bloodroot and Her Trusty Pet" is definitely my current personal favorite piece and I'm currently working on a new, similar piece, but this time of my 42 Draenei Priest, Sarendipity. I recently submitted a simple colored pencils-on-paper drawing of Sarendipity, but I didn't really like how it came out. Plus, she was 41 in the drawing and when she got 42, she got some new armor, lol.

My boyfriend and I went to play Bingo today, as planned, and, sure enough, he won! He still had me go up to collect my $50, so I was still able to stiff them out of a tip, lol. So, that was really exciting, .

Another neat thing for today, I'm almost at 500 views already!!!!! That's really, really amazing to me! I know that I'll never have the 100,000+ views that I see so many artists have on this site, but 500 is still exciting for me, . Maybe if someone were to actually buy a print, I'd be able to afford a subscription, lol. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my 500 views and continue my new job hunting, lol.

**I really like this piece a lot because I don't see enough Draenei pieces yet. I greatly enjoy the female Draenei in the game. This piece here is nice because they got a nice action shot of her. The lighting is great! Awesome job to the artist, I hope to see more WoW Fan Art pieces, lol.

**This was actually the piece that I created my account to see, lol. This artist did an awesome job of making the female Tauren in the game of WoW beautiful and sexy. I, myself, play a Night Elf hunter, and I use the rare spawn black lion (Humar the Pridelord) for my pet. Unfortunately, as the artist states in their comment on this piece, it once made it into the official World of Warcraft Fan Art section, but was removed because of the uproar it brought up on the forums because it's technically nudity. I've always hated art suppression,
