As Liko has been taken by some one, (not inactive thankfully [or I'd murder said name waster]) I shall be taking a slight variation, unknown to anyone, no one could guess it (maybe

since she's seen me use it a few times as my username). Though come time I add you to my friends you'll realize it then thinking "AW! Why didn't I think of it?" Though as a brief hint, it's not likofox or liko-lemons as those being my names on FA, LJ, and FPSB.

Details on that. I shall rewatch everyone at said account and I will be removing anyone that doesn't watch me back by July 15 will be unwatched. ANYWAY!

I require duct tape and cardboard because I'm making stuff out of duct tape and cardboard. A little known fact, but I am pretty adept at making random stuff out of duct tape and cardboard. It's not like it's exposed cardboard held together by duct tape, but it's more or less the other way around; stuff made from duct tape with a cardboard structure. I'll get around to posting my Flip flops I actually wore one day, and some slippers. But in terms of my current project I will be making a few weapons out of duct tape and cardboard; cosplay as it may be. I made a mini grenade launcher a while ago and I have moved onto making a bazooka which is looking pretty awesome. I'm also doing this to get some good references believe it or not. The bazookas I tend to draw end up looking like a pipe (thus explains why you've never seen a drawing) without a reference. I could look at a picture of a real one, but I'd prefer to go with an original idea. Thus I gradually construct one out of cardboard making various modifications. If you've drawn a picture with a weapon and my design is finally released, don't be hard pressed, it happens, there's nothing you could've done. Anyone who's drawn Liko when he was a full fulvan or half fulvan never saw the full Zerdan thing coming. Anyway, here's my possibly final list of all the weapons used by the three main characters of Threo.

I used to be so proud of it, but now I just want to throw up. The only thing I can think of that's good is the fur coloring on the chest.

Then I have this: [link] I figure it's somewhat decent. I mean I used it for a spray/tag in Half-life 2: Deathmatch recently. But the coloration just seems really tacky. The overall face shape is just waaaaay off.

One of my first "good" ones: [link] I actually did a fairly decent job on this one, and it actually trumps some stuff from about 5 months later. But still, the coloration is off, some shading is a bit off, and it just doesn't look too steady.

And back to my old ways: [link] The shading is a bit better, however, as Sivon clearly pointed out, there are about a thousand perspectives being used in this one.

[link] Just doesn't look very steady, lumpy legs, proportions out of whack, the whole deal. I've been meaning to redraw her.

[link] The result of me trying to trace a picture of myself and foxifying. The outlines are so unnecessary. I may end up retrying this concept though.

[link] The first part of a new phase in drawing for me. Though the perspective is just a bit off. The overall body build is a bit off. Actually for this one I did draw the rest of Liko's body under the clothes and it did look pretty weird.

[link] Color, shading, and perspective are a bit odd. The eyes stick out too much too.

[link] This one still impresses me. It was pretty advanced for the time, it even measures up to my standards today. The only problems I see are the outlines on the toes, and the stubby left arm.

[link] Even better, only things that seem off is mostly the perspective and some of the coloring.

[link] Still my favorite, I don't see much in terms of flaws, though I know it's not perfect. A bit cartoonish if anything.

[link] The newest Liko reference. Right hand seems weird and the shirt could use a bit of reshaping. Otherwise I believe this is my best yet.

And then we're up to today. I find it interesting how far I've come in a matter of a mere 2 years. Only time will tell where I am one year from now. I never really did focus on improving my style and drawing technique, but hey, looky, it happened. I guess it all really comes down to experimenting and trial and error efforts. I have yet to really do much with filters beyond blur and motion blur in terms of drawing Liko. Photoshop can really work wonders. Though I guess it really takes good pencil art to get it started in the first place.

School is pretty much coming to an end for me. Three of my classes consist of half seniors. So after May 23rd, my Math, Science, and English classes will contain about 10 students each. I can't imagine we'll do much. Also we're almost done with the Spanish curriculum. The only thing I'm worried about is History since not only is it an honors level class, but it looks like we'll be going to the very end of the year.

Well anyway, I get out on June 16th this year which is fairly early compared to the last few years. I'll let you know about my summer plans when Junes rolls around.

At this point the only thing stopping me is all my previous artwork. All the pictures of Liko will be totally outdated and invalid and it would require me to come up with a whole bunch of references. This would also force me to make his father (Tobias Lemons) be a fennec fox, as well as his half brothers Rolf and Steve.

However, I'll need to make my decision quickly since I'll be starting work on the Liko costume this June as soon as I get out of school for the summer. I suppose it won't be too much hassle though considering a lot of people see Liko as being full fennec already, I guess the only thing I'd have to modify are the forearm and lower leg fur from dark

EDIT: OK, I thought about it today and I have finally decided to make Liko a full on fennec fox. All that is different is that the brown arm and leg fur will now be white, and I'll need to pay some extra attention to his ears to make sure they're larger.

It's none too greedy, all I am saying is that I am allowing people to draw my characters and they will get an art trade of equal effort from me. This just happened to me a few minutes ago, but I knew it was a scam and ignored it; inevitably will spread like AIDS. People are going around contacting every person on their friends list with the same message:
all steam steam games test it for 2 weeks soo nice..
then the link.

Supposedly Valve is offering an "upgrade" with available access to ALL steam games for 2 weeks. What it really is is a virus which will read your clientregistry.blob, take your password, then log into your account, change the password, then put a bot in charge which will contact everyone on your friends list with the previous mentioned message.

If some one messages you with a message like the one in the div above, then their account has been hacked and don't trust the link that accompanies the message.

Just a heads up, Liko...

So yeah, some douchebag is stealing STEAM accounts, I've had 3 people message me with the same thing.

I got a new photobucket account because the capt-nintendork account had stuff uploaded in the main album I wanted to have hidden while I wanted other albums open. Anyway, this new account will carry stuff in a much more orderly fashion. Anyway as for my lack of comments and overall presence. Sorry about that. As I mentioned briefly above I'm a bit overworked with school work. That combined with college prep and figuring out what the hell I'm gonna do this summer, in addition to making maps so I can actually have something to show off to the college I apply to. *Sigh* I highly doubt I'll be able to get much free time despite my parents' perceived observations. I'll try to remain a bit more active on Deviant Art in the coming weeks, but that may suddenly change back to inactivity since this year I have the worst combination of teachers. The only teacher who I have that is actually bad is my Spanish teacher, but the combination of workloads I get from the whole lot of them is overly ridiculous. Meh, you should see what I have to do for this weekend, I haven't done much of any of it yet.

^{And just as a bit of a warning. It appears in recent times, a couple people have unwatched me for absolutely no reason told to me. I follow a policy of "I return the watch." This policy has loosened and at the same time become stricter in that I now will only return the watch on people with actual art. I don't need anything hyper realistic. As long as they aren't random grainy cell phone photos of yourself or simplistic MSPaint doodles. Also this policy works in the reverse. If anyone unwatches me, then I unwatch them. I view their unwatch as them no longer desiring to be friends.}

Anyway, sup guys, it's been about a week or so since my last journal. Just a few general updates.

For mapping, I'm currently working away on my remake of aaahhh from Quake 3 for Team Fortress 2 known as cp_lavatech. I may end up changing it to a CTF map though since I can't get the control points to cooperate.

Yesterday I decided to do some achievement busting and managed to get "Terminal Velocity" by drawing two portals, one below the other; then going to the bathroom then getting a snack. I also got "Camera Shy" after much trial and error.

If you watch my scraps you would've seen this, but for those who don't, check out my next pic that I shall have colored, detailed and shaded by next weekend. [link]

Ugh, also I was out last Monday from school and I'm still unsure what I missed. Apparently my English teacher assigned us a big project, but since I switched from B block to G block, I'm confused big time; same class, but different assignments, sometimes.

What do people use the points for? A lot of things, like making an uberstyle (A theme for your page, available if you have a subscription), taking up a request, even for a subscription.

I think Deviant Art could do something similar. 20 points for a deviation, 5 points for every favorite it gets, 200 points if it gets a daily deviation. 10 points for scraps.

Also like on FPSBanana you can get a certain amount of points dependent upon what subscription you buy. What to use these points on? Commissions would be a lot easier, especially for people like me who have virtually no access to a credit card. For some one to make you a CSS for your journal. And for probably 5000 points, you could get a 1 month subscription, if you get it through some one who will take points and buy you a subscription. Oh and for exchange rate in terms of actual value, 1000 points is equal to a dollar.

It would certainly be a neat idea for Deviant Art to adopt.

God oh mighty, this has all happened in the course of three days:

Wednesday, I was working away on stuff and all of a sudden my computer freezes, goes to black and white (not Monochrome)And it had a message pop-up in the center saying Please Wait. Then all of a sudden my icons revert to the default theme. I go back to icon packager to fix it, but I realized all I have is the trial version that expired back in June since I feel Microsoft doesn't deserve any more money. I ended up putting together the theme in Icontweaker. So it's set back to normal, for the most part.

Yesterday, STEAM kept on logging in and out, just losing a connection to STEAM friends like crazy, I was unable to connect to the VAC security network, rendering me unable to join any servers.

Today, Valve Hammer decided not to work anymore. Whenever I try to open any of my maps, it just closes itself. Oh and Sim City 4 is freezing more randomly and more frequently, I can't play 5 minutes before it freezes.

I'm afraid I may need to reformat sometime anyway, though I have so much stuff on my computer, I'm not sure how easy that'd be. So at the moment, I'm unable to do anything right. Hell, if I open up Dreamweaver, my computer might start shitting bricks. It's not that it's a bad computer, I'm just suddenly having a bunch of bad luck with it which suddenly started a couple days ago.

OK, here's my experience with them. I got the two-pack for Christmas and the very first day, I noticed how hard they were to control. I thought I got the hang of it, but then the silver one crashed into the wall and the rear rotor snapped. The box does however include a spare rotor, but only one. A few days later the silver one started acting up, and now all it does is hover up, start spinning rambunctiously, then falls to the ground. It was close enough to a wall (5 feet being close enough) that is swerved into the wall and the rotor broke again. I had some success with the red one. However, at the same time when the silver one started acting up, the battery on the red one started to last for shorter increments.

The Verdict: Remote Control Helicopters have only been around for the past decade or so, micro-copters for even less. In other words it's a new technology.Judging by the relative cheapness of these guys, I'm not surprised at how short I had them, though I'm still angry. Alternative? I will be trying out this guy as soon as it comes into stock: [link] For now, stay grounded and stick with Xmods and Zip Zaps.

NUMBER 2: Quake Wars: Enemy Territory:

I got this game for free with my new video card (EVGA 8800 GT) And I decided to give it a spin. I had not heard much of anything about the game, so I didn't know what to expect, except from the screenshots, it looked similar to Battlefield 2142. I open up this game to have everything all stretched and squished. It was at 800x600. So I turn it up to 1280x1024. My cursor froze, not the actual one, but the in-game one. I quit out, and start it up again, start a LAN, and what do I see? My eye bled at the sight of 2 frames per second on a field no more detailed than any I've seen in Battlefield 2 (which by the way I can run on full graphics). So I want to quit, and the cursor is frozen again.

The Verdict: I did some research and apparently you're supposed to have a card in your motherboard called the PhysX card, [link] OK, $144, not too bad, it was about $500 when it first came out. HOWEVER, I'm not gonna buy a physics card for one game that I haven't gotten much information on. The Alternative: If you want a game with vehicles, get Battlefield 2, and if you don't mind spyware, then get 2142. For one of the greatest games ever, get the Orange Box for Team Fortress 2.

I was looking around for some 3D modeling software I could use for making a universal Liko ragdoll I can port into pretty much all of the games I play. I went to Valve Software's site, and they suggest a program called Autodesk Maya, so I said, "Alright, lemme see how much that is." I went to shop.google to check prices...

OK, who in their right mind would pay for the price of 6 computers for some frikin' modeling software? I don't know how Valve Software gets their 3D modelers since one of the requirements includes "Working knowledge of Maya or XSI" Just for fun, I decided to check out XSI, $175. Not too bad, But it's not exactly the best software for the job.

So why am I looking for modeling software? Well, I'm looking to create a Total conversion mod based off of Half-Life 2: Deathmatch that would feature my characters and their weapons. I currently am working on a couple maps. One's a parking garage, and the other is the HQ of Black Penumbra (formerly known as The Black Dominion). In terms of modeling I have to model, skin, and animate 15 weapons, many different arms, and 16 characters. I also have 11 maps to do for this thing. I may end up looking for a team to help me on this this coming summer, but I'm not gonna announce it fully until I actually go somewhere with it. If not, I'll just release a map pack.

And then from my brother I got the best of the Colbert Report and I am American and So Can You.

Pretty nice, Especially the video card; major difference. I used to run Team Fortress 2 at 1024x768 on medium settings and I'd remain between 15-30 frames per second, so I'd seldom play, but hey, now it's totally maxed out, no issues, max frames per second always (75). SO I'LL BE ON TF2 MORE OFTEN GUYS!

Birthday Saturday, I be gettin' stuffs.

Anyway, I'm gettin' a bit nervous about other stuff. Some certain some ones have come across my DA page and even my website. How they did, I have no fuckin' idea. Just let it blow over; one can only hope. One of them IMed me and did this:

What's the big deal though, I have a website and a Deviant Art page. Is that so wrong. God forbid some one not use myspace and facebook, and actually be creative and use Deviant Art and other alternatives.

And just a little note. I think it really applies to everyone. comment to show you care. This is coming after a convo with some one who I will not disclose. They made a point that it doesn't matter what some one says, as long as they say something to prove they aren't ignoring you. I am currently working on a website that outlines my whole storyline. I'm using a modified version of the picture in the link above for the profile pic of Liko. But yeah, I'm gonna need to draw a profile pic for all my characters. So what this means is that December is my grind month. I MUST draw a full profile picture of all of my characters, I already have the one of Liko as I said, and I'm re-using one of Niko. Next I'll be doing one for Hank; expect that by the end of this week in time for my birthday, hopefully.
