I've been working retail for most of my adult life...and I tell you this. FUCK BLACK FRIDAY!!!


I am going to work on my comics all next year. If anything...I will bring the funny. If I'm lucky I'll be drawing professionally. Change she be coming. I look forward too it. I'm sure that it is the fact Maureen aka is coming to live with me. Yes my friends we are taking the next big step. She will be flying in Dec. 31, 2009 so we can start the New Year off right and give each other a kiss. So I get my girlfriend here 24/7 and I very stoked for that.

I learned somethings about myself this year. I have no no artistic discipline. I am no good on a deadline...SECRET WARS, perfect example.

With Moe coming here I've began to start thinking more about what I want out of my life. I know I want her but what am I doing with cartooning? What do I want to do professionally? I wanted to take part in the "Secret Wars" to practice making comicbook pages and see if that is the kind of story telling that I want to do.

Stunboy is one of my favorite characters. I will never stop imaginating stories for him. He will always be in my head. This coming up year I want to make an actually webcomic. Ernie Mustard and the "Samueverse" is what I want to focus on...BASICALLY I want to bring the funny.

Stunboy and Uber Monkey are and have always been there for me when I want to beat up on bad guys and dream up an evil plot to destory the world so they can save it. They are at the core of my being and it has always been hard to get them out of my head on paper because of that.

I know it sounds stupid...HELL, it is stupid but I can't draw them and be funny at the same time. Still there is no need to say goodbye to these characters. Moe is going to continue to draw my pages for the "Secret Wars" she is taking over Stunboy. It's my X-Mas present this year. Gulit free drawing...if she does my pages I can draw stuff that is in my head without feeling like a bitch.

I'm going back to the source...comicstrips and cartoons. No holding back either. Some of it will offended people others will think it is stupid. I'm going to draw and write what makes me laugh. Hopefully many of y'all will like it too.

I love the crisp even lines. It's clean and neat looking and TAKES FREAKING HOURS!!!

The pay off is worth it but it's killing me. The "Star Blast meets Ernie" comic from start to finish 4 pages took me 16 hours. I started at 12pm and finished 4am the following day. So I'm looking to try some different techniques to speed up the process.

Any tutorials that can be sent to me or shown to me would be much appreciated.

We got to spend alot of time together. We got to know each other on a much more intimate level than we have ever gotten before. In all...it's been wonderful.

I'm sad to see it end, but on 6-28-09 Maureen will be flying back to NYC. She met my family and that was the last great hurdle for us to get past as far as boyfriend and girlfriend goes...

My family asks when will we get married? I laugh, when it's right. I love Maureen. I know I want to marry her but we both want to accomplish things before we settle down. I assumed with both of us in one house we would become a dynamic drawing duo, little did we realize we distract each other horribly...SHE SO CUTE!!!

I have to truly apologies to everyone I owe drawings too. There are alot of people that I promised pics for. I drew Rocket, that was one down form many. I shouldn't have done the "AFL3" unless I could committed to it throughly. I'm also behind in the "Secret Wars" which I'm losted in, Stunboy is all over the place

I love the character Stunboy. He is my kid...at the same time I even wrote in the Secret Wars that he gets killed just so I have time to draw some cartoons. That is horrible I know but so true.

Stunboy hogs alot of my time latley and to be honest...he isn't my favorite character to draw. He is my go to guy for comicbook shenanigans but humor appeals to me much more. I like the challenge to attempt comicbook fights but that shit is hard

Give me a comicstrip with humor...much more my speed. Still I'll watch a good episode of Batman: Brave and the Bold and I'll start thinking Stunboy or Uber Monkey. It's a weird circle of life for me. I started drawing because of comicbooks, I learned how to do comicstrips and cartoons and now I spend free time thinking up comicbook stories because of a cartoon show about a comicbook superhero...Oy vey!

Why am I not finishing? Is there really excuse? This AFL is way bigger and little more intense then the previous. The rules felt a little too rigid for me this turn around. Still I haven't had any time to draw...not for the "AFL" or "Secret Wars", not even for myself.

I enjoy the AFL and thank Leigh aka for hosting the afl. It has been a pleasure to take part in this tournment. Still drawing for me is an outlet for creativity. I make no money submiting my cartoons and comics. I draw for the pleasure and challenge of making my ideas take form. I want to purse my dream of one day doing this professionally instead of relying on working a 9 to 5 for the rest of my days. That is why I like DeviantArt. It has really given my a chance to see some great drawings and make some great friends. Hell I've met my future wife thanks to this website.

Lately I haven't really been feeling that creative. Times are rough right now...we all are a little more uptight. I want to counter that. I want to bring the funny and make others laugh. That in turn would make me smile again. So I'm going to try harder for humor. I want to go back to that goofy place where I laugh and think about monkeys all day.

I wiped a months worth of dust off my art table lastnight as I shouted..."I'm A MONKEY!"
So hopefully I haven't lost any friends or respect for dropping out of the AFL. I look forward to drawing again and showing the world what I can do.

I love the AFL and I love the secrect wars...two projects that I'm glad to be apart of. Just at the end of the day do I have the time and enegry to do both and live my life. At the moment no. I'm not pulling out of the AFL, I did however go to Leigh and ask to leave due to so much stress in my life last week or so. I however did not want to go out like a punk bitch and not at least try. So I recanted hours later. It would be much easier for me to give up but this is my character and I hate letting him down as much as letting those who drew him for me. So bare with me and I'll try to finish all my fights.

I'm still alive here. I've been going through a heck of alot lately. My family has be in total chaos...My sister computer crashed. I had to let her borrow mine and since her husband is out of work I helped her get it fixed. Still a week of that drama it ain't at top working order. So I've been commenting and posting at work mostly but haven't goten a chance to really draw or ink anything.

WORK to has become interesting...I got the "Secret Wars" and the "AFL 3" inbetween the month of inventory. We had mondo hours to work and since we cut half the employees at my store
I've been getting alot of overtime...

My company also trim the "fat" at all stores. Basically any stores with multi Managers or Asst. Managers were laid off today. To stream line the stores were the reason. It's kind of sad and sobbering day here at my job. I still have my job...and our store isn't in any danger "YET" but it makes you really think. So to anyone I owe fights to, they are slowly being worked on. I'm hoping for a couple days offs in a row next week.

So hang tight...

AFTER all is said and done I'm going to really focus on drawing for a living. I won't make alot of money making comics...but I will at least not be fired

Been hell of a week for me. I was using my Laptop as a desktop. My little tablet aka "Lucille" isn't swinging that so well. I just got a new HP Slimline. It ain't the biggest of the desktops but I like the specks on her.

THe AFL 3 is in full swing. My first fight has been judged...and I lost.

This is why I love to take part in the AFL. This is a great learning experience as well as just fun to do. I shall now however show NO mercy to all other opponents. I want to win this year. I shall show the world how powerful Stunboy is! MUHAHAHAHA!!!

I'm stoked...and oddly enough I'm nervous. First time I did this thing I used Stunboy. A character I cared about dearly and never gave a chance to shine. I had a blast using him. Some of the best work I drew in a real long time came from me being in the AFL1. The beauty of Stunboy is that he wasn't really established in my own head. I kind of did him as "OMNI" character. He could fly...be super quick...shoot power blasts...basically a "Super-Power Lad". This time around...I'm going with Uber Monkey. One of my all time favorite characters and I realise something, no one really knows him either. So here is a basic info you need to know about my monkey...

Uber Monkey:

Height: 8Ft

Weight: give or take 1 ton

Powers: Superstrong, very high Agility, Invulnerability, and can fly by controling the Air currents very much like (Ang, the Last Air Bender)

and in times of great need...he has a secret power given to him by his father...Hanuman, the Monkey God!

I'm moving in with a good buddy of mine boy has been a good friend and should make for a good roommate. Either I'm going to start drawing more Book of Geeks stories or he will start writing Weeniefest stories for me. Either way we will start to influnce each others characters on some level. I'm offically taking Stun Boy out of the AFL if any wonder. I'm entering Uber Monkey which...I'm really going to make a stab for the win come August. I need to show the world why Uber is...well UBER!

So no beating around the bush. Stun Boy as you know him is no more. Stun Bunny is the direction I'm taking him. Human "Stunboy" aka the spikey hair kid is now going to be written into my cartoon stories. I've had alot of great suggestions...and I really want to thank everyone that gave them to me. I took what everyone said looked at my art, my stories, and my characters and I decided this is what I want. If I was really down with making a Stunboy comic then I wouldn't be so conflicted with cartoons. Alot of people have drawn pics of Stunboy and I want everyone to know I will treasure every pic I've every seen of this kid drawn. I don't want to let others down...and I don't want to lose friends over this but I got to do what I feel is right for me. I am working on the first Uber Monkey comic in which Stun Bunny is supporting cast. Think Uber Monkey and Stun Bunny to Batman and Robin. Continuity...this word has lead my down an odd path more times than not. A long time ago...like 100 years...when I was a kid, I drew nothing but superheroes. I gave them up when I got older. I decided I wanted nothing but cartoons. Still the one character close to my heart has always been my first..."STUNBOY" out of any character I've ever made Stunboy is truly my alter ego. Still I can't have continutiy with him having 5 fingers and different rules than all the rest. Now in the past month or so I have tried alot of different ways to make my characters more like him. That ain't happening...I litterly started to lose my mind. A few close friends and my girl know the amount of time I spend bullshitting around with this kid.

is my girlfriend...The reason she is the coolest woman in the world...SHE LETS ME BOUNCE all my ideas off of her pretty head. She has been part of the late night brainstorming parties I throw...we get high on junk food and just let the maddness come out! Tons a fun! Out of the maddness I consider turning Stunboy into a rabbit and calling him..."Stun Bunny" and then taking that farther...turning him into a girl rabbit and a love interest for Uber Monkey. About that time I stepped away. I got out of my head took a dreep breath and asked...who is Stunboy? I've reinvented him more than a dozen times and still the core of the kid is this...a hero that does pretty much the right thing and has crazy hair. All of my characters are now in the same continuity. Stunboy's roll will be explained in newer comics. He is still a hero, hell he is still a superhero of sorts. It's a radical change than the masked hero that he was...but I feel it is a way better one!

*The Update* 5/23/08 The Sketches are over...for Now

Ok I know I've taken my sweet ass time with these free sketches. I've been extremely busy lately. I thank everyone for being cool while I got my shit together. I've been writing alot lately...and playing around with my characters. Now I got some free time I'm going to draw some strips and comics. I'm also working on a web designs for a friend...trying to get some of his work out there. So I did have a few people that missed the deadline for these sketches and asked for some freebies for them self...So I am going to draw some more for those I respect and admire on deviant and those who bribe me Anywho, thanks for the chance to sketch some fun characters and get to be sloppy for a bit

So the month of March was me writing and really just vomiting out all the ideas I've had in my head for about a year. I basically been writing more. Scripting out my comics. Which in the past...I never do. So I guess I've grow up a little ^_^ Still got a crap more to draw...and even more to write. I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words of support.

I love comicbooks. I love Superhero comics most of all...and I still want to draw them and write them. For the time being I'm going to mock them in comicstrips...

I could spend another tens drawing and I wouldn't be as good as this guy...

Oh yeah, forgot about this cool little toon that was done for me as well...


Moe is my best friend...and She drew the new Elly with my boy Ernie.

So I'm back at work...and I'm going to see if I can still draw at this pace between working 40 hours a week and loving on my girlfriend...Which...OMG I LOVE HER SO MUCH! RAWR!

Ok...some NEWS* I'm offically holding off any drawings of Stunboy as of right now. I don't want to give it away...All I'm saying that it's a huge deal for me. It will either tickle some or piss off others. I love my creation...I DO but change is always been a staple of my life. My characters are like my kids. The worlds that I make for them are very important. I got to have things in a good place before I can ever truly start on a new project. This might be one of the most dramatic things I've done...that is including burning all my old drawings when I was twenty. I call that my "Pablo Picasso Phase"

So anywho...I got to go. Things will all be seen soon enough! ALL PRASIE UBER MONKEY! *hint ^^*

I got to spend a month drawing Stunboy. I got to see some awemsome art. Cool fights...and I got to think outside of the box. All that fighting made me step it up a notch.

NOW I'm ready for the CARTOONS. Ladies and Gentlemen...I want to get out of retail. I'm sick of dealing with the public. I love my job...most of the time. Today not so much ^^

Stunboy and Uber Monkey are the comic/cartoon characters I've dreamed up for Saturday morning crowd. Those are characters the exist because of my love of comics. They aren't going anywhere...but now as I mature and grow older...get a little wiser...I WANT MY CARTOONS.

I've been bitching to family and friends for years about making a webcomic. I got the characters...I'm learning the skills...and I feel ready. I want to explore the cartoon world in my head. To be honest...they were here first...and they SO OUT NUMBER Stunboy and Uber Monkey. So I'm going to spend some time getting my cartoon mojo into high gear. I've written tons of stuff...but I fear of losing friends on Deviant. I don't believe holding back my thoughts when it comes to the funny. The thing is...what I might find funny...might offend others. I promise what will be coming out of head is all in good humor. I'm just going to say my "apologies" in advance.

whose curious of these new comics? ^^ Look for them soon enough. I got a few trades to do...

I got to draw my "Cell" for and I think I might draw one more fight with the Lad of Lighting, Stunboy...yes he has a tagline ^^

But after that...Cartoon Universe or Samue-verse for the rest of the YEAR!

A little shout out to all "HAPPY Valentines Day! Ok...this was a way better turn I than I could ever ask for. I want to personally thank everyone who made a character for my boy for V-Day. Fun about being a superhero is the superhero relationships they get to have. I didn't realise how hard it would be to pick a winner, I'm not using a particular thing to vote on one character or the other. I just imagned who Stunboy would want to hold hands with..."hint" to the winner

Konfuse is a dear friend and she normally missies my jams but she really like this idea of a girlfriend for Stunboy. She made a really awesome origin. I will draw her anything she wants...or in my power too draw ^^ to all the runner ups, Look for me to draw something for y'all special as soon as 's Jam is over...

Ok I hope everyone is having a good new year so far. I wanted to focus on getting back to basics in 2008. I've got a ton of Comicstrips to write up and draw. I still find myself wanting to draw Stunboy and expand on his cast of villians and supporting characters. Hence this reason for this JAM. I could spend a week designing a cool girlfriend for my boy OR let others dream me up one...

RULES:

1) She can be a good guy OR a bad guy.

2) She has to have some kind of Superpower. It can be simple,amazing,scary, or silly.

3) She has to be near his age. Stunboy is 14 years old. I know he could totally get a 17 year old BUT no way older than that...other wise it's creepy.

Other than that...there no other rules so goes nuts. Now this Jam I'm NOT drawing a picture for picture submitted. I will draw the winner of this JAM anything in my power I can draw for him or her.

I will pick the winner 02/14/08...YUP, Valentines Day! So the contest is on from now unitl 2/13/08. So whoever is on for this...BRING IT and have fun.
