So, I've been forced to miss more school, which will force me to have a ton of makeup work. Funnnnn stuff. Anyone wanna give me presents to make me feel better? lol

I finished The Vampire Diaries series last week, and it was really good. Better than Twilight in my opinion (no one shoot me please). If you're looking for something to read, I would definitely suggest it. Today while I was bored and didn't have anything else to read as I sat in bed, I decided to finish my book for english, Waiting for the Rain. In class we were on chapter eight. There are 16 chapters and I finished them all. My class reads books slow.

One of my birthday presents for my birthday was a digital camera from my dad (I went and picked it out lol) and I LOVE it. I've always enjoyed photography, but never had a camera to take pictures with, until now. So, if you notice me posting photography, that would be why.

I'm verrrry excited! My party won't be until next month, but it's going to be amazing! We're renting out a hall in my town, and there's a dance floor and music table. My stepbrother, who's a chef and bartender, is going to be making the food and serving nonalcoholic drinks to everyone. (yay! he's awesome!) I really really really want a camera for my birthday, so I'm hoping so much that my dad got me one. I love photography, but it's really hard to take photos without a camera. XD
If anyone wants to make me birthday drawings, feel free.



Also, tomorrow morning (technically today) I'm volunteering at a carnival with my stepbrother and his girlfriend and my mother. The carnival is to raise money for an organization my stepbrother and his girlfriend work at, where they give horse riding lessons to children with special needs. It is such a great program, and I'm so happy to be able to help! We've been making posters for the last two days, and my mom made some wicked nice gift baskets for a raffle. I thank Shaws and Starbucks so much for their generous gift card donations to the cause. Tomorrow I'll be working at the face painting station, which will be the best. I have volunteer face painting experience, so hopefully this will go well.

2) I will not wait to do a project or essay until the night before it is due.

4) I will not miss more than 10 days of school total.
3) I will not obsess over the fact that we'll never use half of the things we're learning at all in our adult lives.
6) I will not number things incorrectly like I just did above.
7) I will enjoy gym because I do actually like physical activity.
8) I will enjoy biology because I also like life sciences.
9) I'll put up with world history, even though I don't like history as much.
10) I won't stay up all night, especially before tests.
11) I won't forget to bring my instruments to school, no matter how many I have to bring or how big and heavy they are.
12) I won't forget my lunch money, being forced to beg my friends for money or food.
13) I won't chew as much gum.
14) I'll actually study for tests insteading of counting my homework as studying.
15) I won't accidently type words that don't exist like insteading, especially on essays.
16) I'll eat breakfast.
17) I'll practice my instruments, especially my OBOE (which is currently missing XD)
18) I won't fight with my friends over stupid things.
19) I'll survive the long stretch until seventh period lunch, insteading of eating snacks when the teachers aren't looking.
20) I once again won't type words like insteading. (man I must be REALLY tired)
21) I will ENJOY myself at school.




Well, does anybody actually think I'm going to go through with all of those? ABSOLUTELY NOT! But it's okay because I will try. We are human beings, and we are flawed, especially the teenage variety. So yeah, I'm bound to screw up countless times, but hey, we learn from our mistakes right? I know that after making a mess out of things last year, I have been able to learn how to control my temper and stubborness more, and I'm very glad that I learned that. So, here's the most important resolution.

Even though they are worth so much of my grade, I usually try not to worry about them so much. The only one I really let myself worry about is science, and only because the honors course is pretty hard. The good thing is, there is no more homework!!!

So, after this week is over (and Monday) I'll probably start submitting a lot more deviations since I won't be working on or studying for anything school related. Well, that's not true I have a few projects and marching band music to practice, but it will definitely be a much lighter load. XD

Last Monday was Music Awards Night at my school. I had to go up five times to get certificates and medal things. XD One for normal band, one for jazz band, one for woodwind choir, one for woodwind quintet, and one for sax choir. The band video was awesome, there were a lot of awesome pictures, including ones of me with some of my friends. There was a pretty amazing picture of Team Oboe in there as well! (that would be me and the other oboe player) XD At the end of the video they showed a music video that some of the seniors (and a junior I think) made for a song called "To the Summit." It was hilarious! XD

Saturday was graduation. We played Pomp and Circumstance, then the National Anthem, then To the Summit. There were some speeches in between, don't exactly remember where. When the chorus started singing "I Will Remember You," I couldn't help but start crying. I kept crying through the whole song. I'm going to miss my senior friends a lot. Most of all I'm going to miss my big brother. He's been with me my whole life, and now that he's finally leaving, well, it's just hard for me to believe. The saying really is true, "You don't know what you got till it's gone."

I'm... happy. I don't know exactly how it happened, but last week one day I just told myself, "What the heck are you doing? You're being stupid, selfish, and immature. You are a person with so much talent, you shouldn't waste it acting all depressed and missing out on life! You can choose how you want your life to be." So, that's how I came to this point. I've been happy for almost a week now, and I'm constantly afraid that it won't last, and that I'll sink back to where I was, but even with that fear, a voice in the back of my head keeps telling me this will last. I love feeling so happy with myself and others. I just want to do all I can to make up for who I may have hurt recently, and I'm just trying my hardest to be a good person in general. I don't know what happened exactly. Maybe God does exist, and he's finally answered my prayers for help. I remember the nights when all I could do was go down on my knees and pray for a way for the suffering to end. I'm still not sure on where I stand as far as religion goes, but I feel a little more sure that God does exist in some form and is trying to help us.

Well, I was trying to think if I had anything going on to tell you about while I was updating, but then I figured out that for once I don't have anything coming up soon. The only things I can think of are my band playing evaluations (which I haven't practiced for yet) and my nephews second birthday. I'm wicked excited to go to his birthday party, because he is such an adorable little kid, and he loves me so much! ^.^

I've been looking forward to this week for about a month.

Well, life has been going pretty good since vacation started. No stress from school is a very good thing.


I also wanted to say that I am entering this contest [link] and I think everyone else should too! It's an all media type contest, so yes you can submit photography, or literature, or a crayon drawing if you really wanted to! The point of the contest, is to remind everyone what DA is really about! We need to remember that it is NOT okay to just comment on someone's piece of art, that they most likely worked very hard on, saying, "this sux! how old r u? 5?!" Tuesday, I fell asleep trying to do my science homework, which resulted in me not having it done for science. Plus I didn't feel good.

Wednesday, I STILL didn't feel good. I had to tell my science teacher about it. I also had to make up a science lab during my only study of the week. I really wanted to go home before seventh period, but I knew having to make up another lab for science would be bad. After school I had to stay after for saxophone choir, then I only got to go home for two hours, which I spent showering and eating. At six I had to be at the school for solo and ensemble recital night. I was in three different groups and had my oboe and saxophone. I was running around for the hour before performances started trying to get in practice time with all three groups and tune both instruments. And let me tell you, if you've never tuned an oboe, especially one that is not in the best shape of its life, it is not the easiest thing to tune. I accidently broke two oboe reeds while trying to get ready, and they cost $15 a piece. That's $30 worth of reeds down the drain. One was brand new, and the other was fairly new. Then, since I broke one and then didn't get to tune again, I was completely out of tune for the performances. *sigh* After all of that I felt even worse.

Today, I felt EVEN WORSE. Then, at school, I found out we were doing pacers in gym. I told the gym teacher I didn't feel good to which he replied, "I'm sick of excuses!" I did thirty-five pacers... and then went up to the girls' locker room bathroom to throw up. On my last few laps I had started to feel numb and my legs and arms were tingly. The school nurse said that I wasn't getting enough air into my body and that I was in the first stages of hyperventilation. Great. And now I have a ton of homework that I'm still not done, I feel like crap, and I'm dead tired.

So yeah. If anyone has anything helpful to say to make me feel better, or just advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

1) You really do try too hard sometimes. I wish everyone could just try a little harder to understand everyone else. Maybe then this would be less confusing.

2) You always compare me to him and try to push me to perfection. Well I'm only human! I make mistakes, I get tired and sick of things, and every once in a while I may get overwhelmed and fail a test or two. I wish that tests scores and grades didn't matter to you so much and you could just see everything that the both of us do! We're both amazingly talented and smart, and we both try so hard. I wish you could just see that and stop judging on grades.

3) Yes! You are part of the problem! You and him! Can't you see what all of them and their problems are doing to me? I know he makes you happy, and I'm glad he does, but I just can't take any of it.

4)I wish sometimes you would think more before you spoke. I know it's usually an "accident," but if you really thought before about it, you would know I wouldn't have wanted you to say it. Everything is confusing enough right now.

5)You're an amazing person. I wish you were around more. I'm going to miss you next year so much, and I feel like the closer it gets to the time you'll be leaving, the more I realize that I want you to stay, and I'm going to feel so alone without you.

6) Sometimes you really just need to slow down. I know you can do it all if you want to. Everyone knows that you can do it, but you're going to work yourself way too hard. You're already going crazy with all that you have to do, and I'm worried about the amount of pressure you're putting on yourself.

7) I wish you realized that everytime I smile and talk with you, a little piece inside of me dies knowing that it will never be how I want it to.

8) I miss how we used to spend time together, just us. Now it always seems like something is getting in the way, or it can't be just the two of us.

9) On Friday at lunch, how could you just leave me there! You didn't even offer an explanation! Then again, you wouldn't want them to leave without you. I guess I'll just never be able to compete with anyone who's popular right? I'm only good enough if no one better's around.

10) You are such a jerk! I will never forgive you for hurting her! She is ten times the person you will ever be, and I just hope she realizes that she shouldn't even waste her time thinking about everything you've done.

11) Am I really your friend? Because if no one else can hang out, or if you're just bored, you always ask me to go see a movie or you'll talk with me online, but when we're at school, it's like I don't even exist half the time.

12) I may be a little jelous of your family. I know you're not perfect; no family is. Even so, you're all great people and I just wish I really was a part of your family. I wish my parents could still be together and we weren't struggling with money so much. I also wish I was as close to my parents as you are to yours. I hope you realize how lucky you are.

13) I really want those private music lessons again. The other day Mrs. Cunningham said to me that I had what it takes to get to All State Level, and that I was a great player. She strongly recommeneded to me that I start taking lessons again so I could get to All State. While she said it all I smiled and said thanks, but it really took all of my strength not break down and cry.

14) I'm not all that you think I am. I'm not pretty, or smart, or nice, or anything like that. I'm completely lost right now, and I have to keep going through each day wearing a mask so no one will see how much I'm hurting. I cry all the time, and half the time I don't even know why.

15) I hope you've realized by now that you shouldn't judge people by first impressions, because that was one of the worst nights of my whole year and I really don't want you to hate me for that.

16) I'm scared.

I'm kind of feeling lonely and isolated right now. A little unloved. A lot unhappy. Unhappy with myself, with the situation I'm in, with the situations others are in, with the world in general.

The other day I went to the art supply store! YAY! And yesterday I went to the other art supply store! DOUBLE YAY! Now I have a new sketch book, and canvas paper, and paints, and drawing pencils, and fabric, and thread, and embroidery floss, and needls, and a ton of other stuff to keep me plenty busy! Plus I am going to use the fabrics and thread and such to make presents for my niece who is going to be born in September! I'm sooo excited!
