It Is Finished

It is finished, yes, I have accomplished the impossible, I have a laptop! Well, it wasnÂt all me, I owe most of it to my amazing parents and grandma who helped me out with half the money if I could come up with the other half. It was a perilous venture at the best of times, I fought diligently with lawn mowers and tack sales but sadly, my old Pokemon card collection was lost in the battle (sold em on eBay). Alas, at the end when all seemed lost, mum, dad and grandma came marching through the haze with an army unseen by recession kind. (Think of Gandalf from LOTRs coming down the hill at Helms Deep) And then, then the prize was in sight, with spirits renewed me and my unit rose up from the ashes and I claimed what had eluded me for so long. And now, recovering from the fight, we remember those who gave their lives for my continued sanityÂ*bows head in moment of silence* May they rest in peace knowing that I now have an HP Pavillion dv7 Entertainment Laptop. Okay, IÂm done. Sorry for the ÂYe Old DaysÂ reenactment but it seems that I must put a story into everything I type (Mum says I have the heart of a writer ). Anyway, IÂm REALLY happy! ItÂs an awesome computer and I just finished loading all my files up. IÂm not gonna get anything else for Christmas, but IÂm okay with that, Uh, we still donÂt have internet out here and it looks like weÂre probably not going to, well, unless someone decides to build a tower in our backyard. But I do take it with me every time we go to town and several restaurants have WiFi. The library has free wireless, but even though I have my own laptop, their content filter has dA down as a ÂBanned SiteÂ which is REALLY lame but thereÂs nothing I can do about it soÂ

On another note, I got Newsworthy and the Best In Show Grey Thoroughbred. ItÂs like an extreme blizzard out there and as soon as I can go out without getting hypothermia, IÂll get some photos! Also, I need to do the annual Christmas photo and IÂm a but embarrassed to say that I havenÂt come up with a scene idea yet. Any suggestions?

Yep, thatÂs about it! Thanks for sticking with me this long and holding out through the ÂdeadÂ weeks were IÂve been unable to get to the library. You guys are awesome!

So, I'm still in the quest for a laptop, but things are looking up! My grandma got me some tack supplies for my birthday and I've already made a jumping set and a Dressage set. So, yeah, uh, I'm 15!!! Yay! We didn't really have a party, but we went up to see my cousin and that was lots of fun! So, doing pretty good!

Hey campers! Uh, well, I'm still alive!!!! Anyway, I thought that it might be time for a new journal, sooooo, here it is!

I've been getting really excited about Model Horse Live showing. There's a show comming up in march. The Nebraska Horse Expo is going to hold a live show, annnnd, if I can cinvince my parents to take me, I'll be there! Is anyone else going? I'm pretty sure that most of you (My Amazing friends!) don't live in Nebraska, but thought I'd ask. Aside from being really excited, I'm also kinda scared. I've never been to a live show before, and I'm afraid that my models will like totally lose or I'll mess up and make somebody mad...Anyway, I'll be taking my Fantasy Armor Set (I added a few more details to make it better) along with a few other models....So, yeah. Any tips? I still don't have a laptop, but, if God wants me to have a laptop, then nothing in this world can stop me from getting one, if he doesn't, then no ammount of crying on my part will make any diffrence. Although crying my heart out does invoke great sympathy, and cookies...

As for the person who was stealing my photos for YouTube, I'm pretty sure she/he took them all down, but if you do see ANY of my photos on other sites, please tell me cause they're probably stolen! Arg! The horror!!!

As for Model Horse Photos, I've got an idea for a new Holloween photo. I'm stil having a few problems with getting some tiny leaves for my models, but I'm hopeful. Oooooh annnnddd, October 31st is my birthday! *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* I'll be 15 yaaaaayyyy!!! I can get my learner's permit to drive the family minivan! Yay me! On another note, I finally perfected my englisg saddle pattern and ordered a bunch of leather (Grandma's birthday gift to me, bless her kind soul!) but, to my horror, most of it is out of stock! So, I'm back to looking for more places where I can buy leather.

WEll, my life has reached an ALL TIME LOW. Just a few days ago, my MP3 player was KIA (Oooohh, the horror!) so now I have no music. Because I'm broke, I can't buy a new one...So, now I'm computer-less and music-less. Ooooohhhh whhhhyyy!?

Also, it's come to my attention (Thank you ) that some poeple have been stealing my photos to make videos for YouTube. They didn't even ask me or freaking give me credit! They didn't make those photos, I did! They didn't slave over a piece of leather for three days to make a saddle, they didn't go out when it was three below, lay in the freaking snow with a camera and a model horse and take photos! They didn't go out when it's 110 in the summer, walk a mile over hills and rough dry ground with a very heavy backpack full of model horses, or go out when it's raining cats and dogs, walk a mile and lay in the mud for thirty minutes!!! I'm sorry, but I'm really pissed! I contacted the person who stole my art (she used them in three videos) and demanded that she take them down. She removed the three, but just found another! ARG!!! What sucks the most, is that if people are stealing them to make videos, then what else are they using them for? The thought that someone might be using one of MY PHOTOS for photo showing makes me sick! So, I don't know what to do... I hate "water marks" but I don't know if there's any other way to stop this. Those photos are copyrighted to me, how can people have the nurve to steal them?

Anyway, thanks to my friends who I KNOW would never steal from me. Thanks to for letting me know, you rock girl! Also, if you see any of my photos on any other sites, they're probably stolen, please, pleas tell me.

Well after some weeping and crying and, um, crying I came up with a plan!!! I'm selling some of my tack to raise money for a laptop! The Woes of My Life

Hey! Um, friends? Okay, might as well say it, I feel like IÂve abandoned you! Not my fault though. Read on dear followers!

Warning!

This is the start of a major rant about the horrors of my life, if you donÂt want to read it, itÂs okay with me! Now! Have a cookie!!!

Bessy(my computer) is alive. Now before you get all jumpy, I have to tell you that there is pretty much no way I can get internet out here!!! They discontinued our dialup about three months ago and weÂre too far out to get high speed so I am completely screwed. Yup, screwed! Now, on to the more woes of my life. Bessy was alive, yes, was. SheÂs dead again, actually, she died about an hour ago when I was writing an SGA fanfic. Oooooh, woe is me! So not only did I lose the work on my fic, but I lost Bessy too. But, after she died the first time, IÂve gotten quite backup happy, so nothing was lost except for a few SGA screenshots. Speaking of Stargate Atlantis, I just finished watching the last of the fifth season (got the boxset at Wallmart) and now am crying in my fruit loops. The greatest show ever made, killed for 90210 In Space, AKA Stargate Universe. *spits on universeÂs name*. Oooooh, and yes, I must tell you about the other wonders of my now dead desktop. The screen is blue, well not blue blue, just blue tinted so I have no idea what any colors are at all, uh, the front USB port is dead so I have to get down on my hands and knees and go digging for a rear port, Oh! And recently, my SD card port died too! So I canÂt even look at my horse photos!!
Ohhhhhh! Woe is me!! Also, aside from the Motherboard frying, I think the video card was going too! You see, I donÂt play many computer games, in fact the only one I have on my hard drive aside from Black Hawk Down (good game) is The Sims2. And you guessed it! I canÂt even play that either because the damn thing dies after about ten minutes! Arg!!! It canÂt even handle my screen saver which is a replica of the Atlantis mainframe screen!!! And it was so cool!!!! So here I sit, one window at the petition to save Atlantis and the other on dA, writing this. ThereÂs an old guy who keeps farting to my left and a teenaged girl who just CANT put down her cellphone to my right. I hate the libraryÂI canÂt even read my SGA fanfics because their content filter blocks Fanfiction.net!!!! I found the laptop that I want, but itÂs 500 bucks, so donÂt expect that to happen anytime soon, considering the fact that I donÂt have a job. I know my parents would get me one if they could, but at the time, shelling out 500 to get me a computer is out of the question. Another woe of this month, is that the Stargate Atlantis book that I ordered, Brimstone, was supposed to come out on july 3rd, but itÂs been bumped ahead to January 6th! January! Of next year!!! So yeah, welcome to my life!!!Whhhhhhhyyyyyyyy!?!?!

Okay, end of rant. If youÂve stuck with it this long, than I have new found respect for you.

Okay, um, well I guess my life isnÂt as bad as it could beÂI finally got my own e-mail account! Yay me!! Catwink42@yahoo.com I also joined a few SGA fansites and am still photographing me model horses! IÂm in the process of sewing a camouflage skirt to wear with my combat bootsÂYes, IÂm strangeÂI also love P-90s and M-60! Huzzah for machineguns! IÂm working on my first really long Stargate Atlantis fanfic. IÂve got around thirty thousand words down so far, so, maybe if I do in fact finish it, IÂll post it. And right now I have about 300 messages to answer. IÂll do my best to answer as many ass I can, but IÂve only got about thirty minutes left before I get kicked offÂ I also wanted to thank you guys for not giving up on me, even though I am now reduced to a internet -less puddle of tearsÂYou guys are awesome!!!:headbang; I just wanted you to know that every comment and fave means a lot to me. *pats heart* ThanksÂYeahÂI need a cookie. *walks off in search of cookie* *looks back at the kid thatÂs eyeing my computer* Noooooo!!!! It's still dead...

Yup, not one of the best weeks of my life...My computer is still very much dead, although my parents are thinking of getting another one, it might be a while. Oh, and I got hacked!! It seems that quite a few people here on DA have been hacked as well. So if you get a message from me saying to click on something, DON'T CLICK!! If it looks like spam, then it probably is. If you have any doubts, just ask before clicking and I'll tell ya if it's real or not. I changed my fourteen didgit password which consisted of nothing but numbers, now it's a 20 digit password. I hope this fixes it...And I hope that they didn't mess with any of my stuff...So, sorry in advance for anything they did while useing my account...I still miss you all so much.... I did get some pretty awesome model horse photos, and if I think they're awesome, you know it's gotta be good. I won't tell you what it is, I want it to be a suprise! But I think you'll all like them!! As soon as I get my own computer or find a place that has computers that I can put my photos on, I'll post them!!

Bessy is dead...

Yup, I am so screwed...My computer died. It was a virus, I don't know where it came from or how I got it but it took out all of the songs in my library, which is over a thousand, it killed my internet connection and took out the fire wall too...It's completly worthless...It's dead...I am so, so, so, screwed...I did back up all of my photos and stuff, and thank God, the music on DVD-Rs so not all is lost...I hope that my mom might get me another computer...But yeah...So right now I'm on the computer at my library, so if you comment I should be able to answer before I get kicked off...I'll miss you guys so much...Goodbye...Hopefully I'll see you again soon...If you never hear from me again...You'll know why...

It's blue...

My monitor turned blueÂ

So, IÂm sitting here looking at one of my friendÂs journals on dA when my computer screen turns all blue-ish! WhatÂs going on? After sitting there for about five minutes I decided to use the age old tested solution to all the problems of the universe. I shut it off and turned it back on again. DidnÂt work, it was still blue! So, then I unplugged the cord and then plugged it back in. Still didnÂt work. Then I called my geeky and yet computer genius cousin. He was a bit shocked when the first thing he heard when he picked up the phone was ÂOh my God!! Help! It turned blue!! ItÂs blue!! What do I do!!! Why is my monitor blue?" He recommended that I hit it. I did. After the fifteenth wack, in which my hand was throbbing, he said that it was probably dieing. I wasnÂt ready to give up yet so I Googled it. ÂMy monitor turned blue.Â And I got quite a few results. The most common was that the monitor is going to die, that or a sign of the apocalypse. IÂm betting on the dieing thingÂ.Which is really bad. IÂm poor and my parents are cheap so if it dies, IÂll never be able to upload another photo ever again!!! Waaaaaaa!!! But I shall not give up hope!!! I shall refer to The John Sheppard book of computer repair, section eight page three. ÂNever underestimate the computerÂs ability to fix itself. Oh, I forgot! Happy New Year!! I hope you all got my Christmas cards, via Notes. Again, hope you all have a great new year!!!

It's looking a lot like Christmas!

Hoping for snow!

I guess that the title says it all. IÂm really hoping for snow! Winter is usually the best time of year for model horses, for people, not so much but IÂll do almost anything for a good photo!(In the mud, in the snow, in the water, in the weeds, for hours and hours!) ItÂs great because it doesnÂt matter where you go, youÂll always have perfect footing! That and a good blanket of snow will cover up a lot of things that would normally mess up a photo. As I always say: A snow covered world is a model horse photographerÂs playground. But as always, my wonderful luck holds out! ThereÂs no snow in sight! Lol! But IÂm still hopeful! I played with Barbie dolls!

Yes, I have relived my childhood years! My sister and I...Played with Barbies! Yes, Barbies!! And dang it was fun!! Why I still have Barbies buried somewhere under my model horses and Stargate stuff I don't know, but they're there! I even found my all time favorite barbie! I think it was a Mystery Squad barbie, it had a dog anyway, she also had really cool hair! That's why I liked her! So laugh at me if you want, but I sure had fun!

I finally finished my newest fantasy tack set so as soon as I can find a background that will work I should have some photos! Also, as soon as it snows I'm heading out to take photos of a bunch of white Arabian Stablemates! That is, IF my camera works! Frank tends to have problems when it gets cold...Lol! What I would give to have a new camera.

Yes, me and my little peanut sized brain have figured out how to use CSS! I'm actually pretty proud!*pets herself* Anyway, I want to thank the great person who made this journal template. Thanks again!

Help! I've been taking model horse photos for years but have never entered a contest. I know of a few good ones but my problem is I have no clue about how to label them on the back! It's all so confusing! So now I need help. If any of you know how to label the stupid things pleas help me!

In other stuff, I was thinking of holding my own model horse photo contest right here in DA! I'm sorry but I don't think that there will be any prize. I guess I could try to draw one of the winner's original horse characters. But don't expect much. I have however done a lot of research and I know how to judge a model horse contest. So you would be getting good advice and stuff on how to improve your photos! If I did hold a contest, would you enter?

Omg!! I have 5000 pageviews!! And over a hundred watchers! I can't believe it! Thank you all sooooooo much! When I first started out I never thought that one day I would have 5000 pageviews or over a hundred friends! Thank you all again. I know I never would have put so much work and love into my photos if you guy hadn't been there to encourage me. I still remember when I got my first watcher, it was . She's also my sister so it was kinda her job to watch me, but I still remember how magical it was. Now, I will always try my best to improve on my photos. Once again, thank you for your kind words and support, I can only hope to never disappoint you!

HI! It's me! My computer is still dead but we think that it can be fixed so I hope I'll have some more Breyer pics up soon! I'm using a friend's computer so all that I can do right now is just post this journal.

I was scrolling down my page and saw a comment by saying that I've stolen someone else's art! I don't get it!! All my art is mine! And I have the SD cards and original drawings to prove it! Please if you have any information about this let me know!

Well, I was really getting tired of looking at my old journal so I'm posting a new one!

Guess what! I went camping last week and it didn't rain!! For the last four years that we have gone camping it has ALWAYSE rained! But this time it didn't! One time it snowed when we were camping. Another time there was piratical a hurricane. All the stakes came up and the only thing holding the tent down was me and my sister. Everything was completly soaked!! We woke up and our air mattresses were practically floating on three inches of water! We came to think that there was a dark rain cloud fallowing us everywhere! Okay enough of my great adventures into the wild. I got a couple of good horse photos while we were up at the lake and I bought a Breyer sized covered wagon at a garage sale for 8 bucks! Once I make some harnesses for my models I'll post a photo of them!

It's time for a new model horse photo contest!

The category for this contest is English performance! So brake out the English saddles and jumps!
It can be anything from a horse and rider out on a trail ride to a dressage horse in the middle of an extended trot! All that you need is a horse and and an English saddle and bridle! I can't offer a prize but I will put a link to the winner's entry in my journal! You can either send me a note with a link to your entry, or,(for the people like me who just can't get those links to work) you can just tell me the name of your entry and I'll go look at it in your gallery!

It must be an original photo! No editing!
You can enter up to three photos. No more then that!

I cant believe it!! I have a full page of watchers! And I have over a thousand page views! My wish came true! Thank you all sooo much for being so kind!

My Mom gave me the Breyer truck and trailer as an early Christmas present! I'm soooo happy!!! Now I can take photos of my horses in a trailer!

I'm taking requests for model horse photos now! So if you have a idea for a photo, just tell me and I'll do my best! I have a bunch of Horse colors and tack, so if there is a specific color or event you would like to see just tell me! I cant guarantee that I'll get the photo up right away, or if I'll even have time to do it, but I'll do my best!

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I cut my finger off!!! Okay, not the whole finger, just the tip. Well, I was making a fantasy tack set for my Breyer horse so I could sell it on ebay. And I was almost done, but I had to cut one more strip of leather, so I grabbed my trusty rusty old pair of little kid scisors (you know the ones with the rounded tip) and began to cut. That's when it got bad. It all happened so fast! I think my hand sliped or something, I don't really know. But somehow I ended up cuting off the end of my finger, nail and all. So here's the good news. I finished the tack set, and I might have it up on ebay in a week or two. And here's the bad news. I've got this big band-aid like thing on my hand and it looks terrible! Oh well, I learned a good lesson: When using scisors, wear cut-proof gloves. Okay, It's really hard to type, so I'm going to stop now.

Yessssssssss!!!!!! I'm almost fourteen! Yahhhhhh!! Well, enough of the screaming. Guess what, on Halloween I'm going to be fourteen! Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!

I've decided to go back and play all of the Mario Karts. And yes, I mean the old NES Mario Kart. I like the squeaking noise the buttons make when you push them.

Well, I took a shower this morning just like I always do and I washed my face just like I always do, and guess what? My face turned red and broke out in some sort of a rash. I look like a total freak!

Well I've never done requests before, but I'm going to try. I'm best at taking photos of model horses and making tack for them so, If you have an idea for a horse scene I can make tack and set it up. I guess I've run out of things to do with my horses so I need requests!

We had a thunderstorm last night, so I put my dog (Sparky) in the barn. When I went out to get her, I thought it would be better if I fed her in the barn because there was so much mud she would probably sink. So I put her food in her bowl and she ate about half, then she went straight to the door. I told her if she wanted to go out she would have to eat all of her food. To my surprise, she went back to her bowl and finished her chow then walked back to the door. It just goes to show you that animals are smarter than you think!

AAAAAAAAAAH I cut my finger again! At least I finished the show jumping saddle for my Breyer Horse. I've made over twenty saddles, pretty much everything they make for real horses. I can make an exact miniature copy. I usually make my own pattern and cut it out of leather, most of the time resulting in me cutting my self. The last time I made a westurn saddle I cut my thumb open with an Exacto knife. There was a bottle of Super Glue near by and I Super Glued my finger shut (not recommended). I had to throw the saddle away because it was stained with blood. Oh well time to go feed my dog.

OH, NO! MY SISTER IS CHOKING ON A COOKIE!!!
