So a while back bought Wicked tickets for me and a bunch of friends so we could go see in together. Now, I had been dying to see this play since it came out. I have had to soundtrack for a while and love it, but never got to see the play. So FINALLY last night I got to see Wicked. I swear, all through the defying gravity song I had to goofiest grin plastered on my face. I was so excited to be there. We had great balcony seats and it was a blast. The use of color in that play astounds me. The different ways they made elfaba more or less green based on the spotlight was cool. Some songs she hardly looked green at all, but in No Good Deed, where she has her spazz she is a vibrant green. Very symbolic, very cool. I liked it. Also liked how they tied in the Wiz of Oz movie.
And if going to see the play wasn't cool enough, we got backstage. Woohoo for knowing people who know other people who can pull strings! So we got to see the set, the oz head, the bubble and the elfaba levitator. We got some inside and I poked the galinda wand (Which I don't think I was supposed to touch.) The coolest thing was seeing the many coustumes they had. So many whimsical and crazy things. I just wanted to try them all on. Heres some intresting information for you
- Each costume is hand sewn, usually without even a sewing machine, because the want maximum detail
- The ballgowns that appear for 30 seconds of the play, each cost about 6 grand
- The hats in the show are designed to looke like shoes (And they really do, one had a heel and laces)
- Altogether the complete cost of all the costumes is 2 million dollars. Just the costumes!
- The set is carried in a total of 14 trailers.
thought that stuff was intresting. It was cool to go backstage and awesome to see the preformance! I loved it! If you guys every get the chance to see it...GO! Its amazing.

Ummmm...I am currently working on a project (a short story, also illustrated) for one of my classes and I will post that when done. Monday or Tuesday probably. That is, if I finish by the deadline because sadly, my tablet is not working. Gahhhhhh! So I have to draw 20 pictures amongst my bust schedule. This should be intresting In art class we are doin 3 point perspective and when that project is done I'll put it up. Yeah, thats about it...

I mean its a sickness, so obviously it stinks, but its not that far from the regular flu. Honestly I think ppl freaked out about it waaaaaay to much. The worst things about it are that you're always tired and it comes out of nowhere. I was dancing at homecoming one day and sick the next. Bleh.
At the moment I feel pretty good. My 3rd day being sick. Yesterday was pretty bad, but yeah, I'm used to it now (how lame is that?) All I really want is to go back to school *gasp* I miss my friends, though apparently some of them are sick to. I heard that was...though I don't know if she's been pigged.
I'm sooooo booooorrreeeeddddddd. Really, there is nothing to do when u have to stay in ur room! My dvd player just broke, obnoxious timing. The book I have is not capturing my attention. I really should do my homework and finish my sketch for art but...yeah I have no excuse. I do feel like drawing, but not the sketch, which is what I should be working on.
I'll stop rambling, though I could talk forever. Hope you guys don't get sick, keep healthy! Eat those veggies! Lolz, bye!

Ummm I feel I should thank and for joining dA (I have been after them to join for a while.) Dakota has stuff up all ready and he's a really good photographer. So check him out. Moonlight is just amazing. She's my study-hall budy and we always draw together. SHE IS SUCH A GOOD ARIST. She doesn't have anything up yet, but i'm sure she will soon. So yeah, check her out.
What else did I want to say? Well I am obssesed with Love and Memories by O.A.R...which has nothing to do with anything right now. Gosh I so don't want to finish my art project *facepalm* Huhhhhhhh....

My hands and arms are covered in blue. At the moment I am working on a rather large, 2 canvas, painting. It is both my first time working with acrylics and my first time working on a canvas. So its a bit of a challenge but I am having lots of fun.

This piece is kind of my birthday card to me. I am turning 16 in 9 days (very excited) and so I figured I was gonna paint something a little special. I'll be going to Michigan for two weeks for my B-day so I'll have plenty of time to work, and I'll post it when I am done.

I am rather excited for both my birthday and this piece!

okk so a bunch of the people i talk to are reading them and spazzing out about that creepy vampire. i really dont understand it its completely overrated and you are sooo right! i'm really glad you DO NOT like the books because everybody I know likes them and they're all telling me to read them and i always say:
"My best friend who thinks just like me says they're stupid and so i'm not going to read them because we practically have the same brain so if she doesnt like them i wont!"

haha and then they usually leave me alone, especially when i say that Bella should've been with jacob and to be honest i only say tht becasue you do allie haha you know way more about the books than i do. anyway, i'm jst glad to see that you dont like the books it makes me feel less alone in the world
