I seem to be posting about commissions the same time as like, five other people on my friends' list here (so SORRY ABOUT THAT GUYS lol).

Anyway, I'm currently in the process of applying to a number of places for work, but until anything happens I'd like to take five commissions, or whatever comes along (and yes, I'm almost done with the work I've promised a few of you, so I should be uploading it in a couple of days!). I'll throw out the slots here (haha, thanks for the idea):
1-

2-

3-

4-

5-

Please note me here on DA with what you need. Here are my current prices, and though they seem fairly specific I'm willing to expand to other things should you want them! We can discuss pricing accordingly:

Page of character sketches (expressions, rotations, poses and so on): $10.00

Colored Characters: $14.00

Black and White Character + Background: $17.00

Rendered pencil piece, characters + background: $20.00

Fully colored character and background piece: $28.00

And like I've stated before, with the exception of the black and white pencil it will be done digitally unless stated otherwise (you can request pen and ink, or other traditional media- but if we get into paints it may cost a tiny bit more).

Also- thanks Sheana and Billysheep for the advice. Much appreciated!

Well, I haven't been around here lately, but I thought this warranted a journal entry. This is from fpsmagazine's livejournal feed:

Back in October of 2005, I posted about The Last Unicorn creator Peter S. Beagle's ongoing battle with Saul Zaentz to be compensated for the animated adaptation of his book, as well for receiving more than the token "consulting fee" he'd been paid for writing Ralph Bakshi's animated adaptation of Lord of the Rings.

Beagle's tribulations are still ongoing, but in the meantime the 25th anniversary edition of The Last Unicorn is coming to DVD in just a few weeks. The remastered Unicorn is in 5.1 with an anamorphic widescreen image, for a mere $14.98. However, because of these legal issues, Beagle will not be receiving royalties from any DVDs bought through Amazon or other retailers. However, buying the DVD from Conlan Press will ensure that more than half the money received ends up in Beagle's hands—some of which he intends to use to pursue his legal battles. (As an extra incentive, Conlan is also offering DVDs personally autographed by Beagle for $24.98.) As you know from our auctions, we're pretty keen on the idea of doing good with our animation purchases, so pass this bit of info on to all the Unicorn fans you know. There's still time to cancel that Amazon preorder.

Here's where you can order a personalized autographed copy of the "The Last Unicorn":
[link]

You actually get three autographs. I bet his hand will get tired D:

A quick note-

I haven't been around here much lately because, well, I've been busy with school work and got addicted to LiveJournal Yes, incredibly sad. I do happen to type an awful lot, and LJ happens to feed that craving.

Not to mention I post sketches there I don't find suitable of putting in this gallery (also because the scrap gallery here is ... silly), so I've started throwing them up there.

THAT SAID, I will be back here when the time allows. I have many galleries to go through and catch up on. For the time being I just wanted to make you aware of where I hang out and rant:

[link] (My public art journal/where I'll be asking for commissions outside of DA mostly.)

[link] (This is friend's locked for the simple reason I type FAR TOO MUCH. I'll be posting all my sketches and misc work there too, but in addition to my raving and overall stupidity.)

Anyway, feel free to stop by/friend/what have you. I like reading journals and chit-chatting

ALSO: I believe =poinko was onto a good idea with "Escowpade"! My friends however prefered "Cowscepade". Decisions! I like both, but it's not pertinent that I chose right away, ha.

Aww, bye-bye silly journal pictures.

*Ahem* So, it seems I am in no condition to go to Law class this evening, and thought now was a better time than ever to hit you all with the big one.

Alright, I'm not going to ask you all to marry me (though that would be funny), but boy do I need help with this one, and I'd really appreciate anything you're willing to throw at me (with the exception of bear mase).

(Sort of copypasted in a few places)
I'm having trouble coming up with a title for my thesis film. It will be a far wackier version of this old storyboard: [link]

Same concept- though it starts out with the girl and boy drawing cows in a field with crayons. The girl draws a cow... well, as it is (stinky and dirty), and the boy draws an incredibly, ridiculously happy unicorn. Girl laughs at his drawing, boy gets ticked off and steals her hat. He uses the magic crayons, of course (I'm still working on how this happens ) and turns one of the stinky cows into a unicorn, and rides away on it with her hat. Girl... changes another cow into a unicorn with her crayons and runs after him... yada yada yada.

Stupid kid's stuff, yeah. Anyway... title? I'm at a COMPLETE loss. There's no real moral, just random silly things happening during the "chase" that ensues. If you can come up with a really REALLY great title I will TOTALLY credit you on the film (well, you'll definately be under 'thank yous')!! *DESPERATION*

WELL, I haven't been here in a while, but I'm kind of not in the right state of mind recently. Here, there, everywhere but where I should be.

Now I'm also paranoid since I found out about a site called "WhoIs". If you're like me, and pay for a ".com" domain, your personal information is automatically put on this website, and open to the public. And if you're in the US, you have no option for this not to happen.

Someone said I can PAY to get it off, but I'm not exactly happy about the fact I have to pay to ... oh, I don't know, BE ASSURED SOMEONE DOESN'T SEND ANTHRAX TO MY HOUSE? You know?

Does ANYONE know about other options here? Can I send the admin of the site a polite(nasty) email, or is the only way to get my information off of there to pay up?

Note: My email's all over the place, and that's fine :/ I'm sure my phone number is listed places too. However, I'm not secure with my home address being thrown around.

And if I'm just making a huge deal out of this for no reason, forgive me. Perhaps I've missed something.

  FRIENDS: [link]
I appreciate all you guys and love looking at your art, but the summer isn't as free as I anticipated (isn't that always the case?)

Have yet to touch my actual website in -FOREVER-. Need to take care of that. Also need to get my comicgenesis account up and running as soon as the Admin let me ... well... get to my acount :/. "Here, here's your password... OOPS, it don't work. Make a new one, OOPS it don't work." Eh, whenever.

Doing some more Merrick at the moment too... lots of mistakes being made. Need to get this downpat.

As for commissions, I'm now going to lay down the land with a pricelist. Mainly I'm afraid to do so because I don't want to overprice myself, so if it's unreasonable just go ahead and tell me I'm a narcissist idiot!

COMMISSIONS:

Page of character sketches (poses, expressions, etc.): 5$
Colored characters: 7$
B+W character and background: 8$
Rendered pencil piece, multiple characters, background: 10$
Fully colored multiple character and background piece: 15$

Again, it will vary depending on what you want. Note me or email me (cedarwolf22@aol.com or rexrecube@hotmail.com) and we'll discuss it! I'm also willing to do landscapes and realism (though it will cost a tad more. Same goes for the use of traditional paint mediums).

Please request for original characters. Fanart is all good and fine, but unless it is for the sole purpose of parody, selling fanart is quite illegal. Thought I'd mention that

I'm also going to open up for Art Trading! I know a few people have asked about it before, so I thougt now would be a good time.

Alright, I'm running headfirst into this comic idea. POSTING the cover and first page TOMORROW.

Why am I doing this?
1) I'm tired of procrastinating
2) Thesis is far ahead of schedule, time to work up some other ideas.

I've been procrastinating mainly because I'm afraid of how people will meet with the content (not explicit, just more mature than your average Disney movie). You know what? I DON'T CARE ANYMORE YOU HEAR THAT?! That's right, I have CONFIDENCE, by... golly... gee.

*clears throat* that is all.

PIMPS SOME MORE:
ps- still open for commissions- haggling prices
Finished commissions for:

Alright, time to nip this in the bud.

I'm going to be brave and open up for commissions. They'll be handled through PayPal (once I figure out how it works) and I'll list them here as I get them.

Just some rules:

NO PORN (yes, I've been asked this before... I just... can't bring myself to do it.)

I'm going to ask for payments in advance. On this note- I WILL get it done, no worries

I'm fairly open with material (except for the previous mention of porn), so don't hesitate to throw something at me that seems "out of character". That said though, if it is content inappropriate for THIS particular site I will not post it here.

Note me if you are a member of DA, if not email me at- cedarwolf22@aol.com. I do not check my email quite as often, so if there is a delay please be patient.

Cost will be depending on the request. Think of it this way- a sketch of a character and a simple background can be around $5. A fully colored, three character sheet, no background- $10. The whole kit and caboodle- that depends on what it consists of.

I'm also open to non-characters, just backgrounds... or machines, or what have you. That's why I don't plan on any set prices. We'll haggle for a bit XD *enjoys haggling*

So note/email me if you're interested! I'll put you on the list.

has further proved to me that I was indeed a slow child when it came to physical games such as hide and seek, or TAG.

It is now my job to come up with six more odd things/habits of mine. And this time I'm REALLY going to tag people. Here it goes!

1) I LIKE OLDER MEN. I don't think I needed to state that, it seems pretty dang clear if you ask me.

2) I have an unhealthy obsession with DVD collecting. It's over 200 discs by now, and rising. Don't even ask me how many VHS tapes I own, my house is about to collapse from the weight.

3) I... actually like Murder She Wrote. And Poirot, and Sherlock, and Nero Wolfe, and Monk, and Inspector Morse, and Columbo, and any other murder mystery tv series you can think of. Tried telling myself for the longest time that I HATED them because my mother watched them all the time... but no. It wasn't to be.

4) Erm,... not... pigeons.

5) I have a scar on my left knee in the shape of Africa. You really needed to know that.

6) I've flown an airplane, in a way. I got the co-pilot's seat of a private plane and he had me move it around for a while. Kind of scary- like driving a car except you can go up and down too. And knowing how well I drive cars...

People who hath been tagg'd by ye truly:
*Skylanth =Tascun ~KitsuneWolf2B ~silver-sehkmet ~Nick-Logic =Sheana

That's right, you're IT

I hath been tagged, and you know what? I'm in a silly childish mood today, so I shall take the offer (/threat) made by and fill out the questionare:

Six strange habits you have-

1) When eating oreos one must first pour the largest glass of milk imaginable. Preferably this will be a bowl much like the ones used for cereal. Taking your oreo package firmly by the end, bring forth your scissors and cut all the way through the plastic. Then proceed to lift up the other end of said package, dumping all of its contents into the bowl/glass/barrel. Let sit for three minutes.
Then take a spoon/ladel/shovel and press downward into your mix, softening the contents. Don't soften too much as Oreo Soup is not tasty.

No, but really, I like throwing a bunch of oreos into a glass of milk and using a spoon to eat them. WEIRD HABIT NUMBA ONE.

2) I collect rocks. Yes, that's right, I'm a NERD. I walk around outside my own house looking for new types of rocks every summer-- so far I've found quite the variety. Some white marble, shale (which is oodles of fun to break apart by the way), and probably the most interesting; lava rocks*. In fact, there's so many of the gosh darn things I stopped collecting them three years ago. A whole bunch of them are sitting on my dresser.

*Lava rocks, if you don't know, are the dullest looking rocks on the outside... just dirt brown. But when they break in half the inside has a thin layer of "tar" surrounding a big glob of orange lava-looking rock. Okay, I don't know the techincal term, but it's cool stuff.

3) I will always ask for ketchup with a meal, but turn down tomatoes.

4) Oranges are delicious, but I rarely eat them. I merely suck the juice out of a piece of orange and throw away the rest. Messy good.

5) I sleep with the covers over my head. Not because I'm "afraid" of anything thank you, just because I'm comfortable that way.

6) Most all summer I walk outside barefoot. Grass, dirt, sharp rocks, doesn't matter, my feet enjoy taking a break from socks and sneakers. I BATHE DON'T WORRY.

I thus tag whoever wants- or has the time to do this. I'm not a forceful person

I thought you should all know that I'm now a strictly religious person. That's right, for if I should ever go to hell it would be to relive yesterday over and over for eternity.

Left home at 5AM, grabbed the train, headed off through New England like I've done about twenty times before. Ate a turkey sandwich, had a pepsi, decided to go grab a banana from the cafe car at around 12PM. Sat down, read some scripts, actually started writing (it was a beautiful moment lol). The rain had stopped, we were a few minutes away from Hartford when SNAP. The train came to a screaching hault.

Conductor: "Err... uh... we seem to be experiencing techincal problems. We'll have to wait here ("here" being a huge, seemingly abandoned logging facility somewhere in Connecticut) indefinately."

Now, as I'm sure you all know, "indefinately" implies one of two things:

1) The crew decided to mutiny.
2) We ain't going nowheres.

And of course, number two came to be the case. We waited some two hours, fiddling with our laptops, calling people who really didn't want to hear from us, squeezing squeaking stress calmers, hyperventilating into paper bags. You get the drift. Finally the conductor decided to let us in.

Conductor: "Okay, we fess up. The train will be going nowhere seeing as we've RUN OVER someone WALKING ON THE TRACKS."

At this point I did everything possible not to look out the window, seeing as I was in the first car after the front engine. CHRIST people, WALKING on the TRAIN TRACKS?? If you're going to commit suicide do so with something a little... CLEANER. UGH. And not where I CAN SEE IT.

Needless to say, all the passengers requested that we be let out the back end of the train.

"Walk on to Hartford" was what we were told. It was like the freakin' Hebrew migration, but instead of milk and honey there was fresh mud and roller-luggage. Not a long walk, but enough. There we were to catch a bus to New Haven.

Now, get this... A bus. A= 1. 1= 50 passengers tops. This train was carrying over 100 people. Sorry, but I lost my manners and literally grabbed the first seat. Damn manners in these situations. I had no clue where I was, I lack a cell phone to call anyone in that area, I had no cash, no clothes. Like hell I'm waiting in New Haven station until morning.

The bus (I originally spelled that "bust". Can you tell I've been at life drawing class all day?) was packed to the brim, and having been in such a rush to get on there I was stuck in a window seat pressed against the plexiglass.

All in all, I was suppose to arrive home at 5PM. I got there a little before 10PM. No ticket refunds (they did pay for the bus)... and why didn't they just tell us that they hit someone in the first place?

Ugh, I need a nap.

(ps- No, I'm not "mad" at the person who's now gone. It's a horrible thing that happened, ... I just need to find humor in it to get on with life. Not trying to offend.)

Okay, so... here's the deal.
I never get to finish anything I SAY I'm going to finish. So what I'm going to do is make a list of things I want/need to do (besides homework) in the next few weeks/couple of months. Here it goes:

1) Work on "Wolf" style for human characters. Currently drawing Merrick.

2) Drawings for =Sheana's Team D.U.D.E project. Have yet to start.

3) Promised *enerjak some fanart a LONG time ago, need to start that

4) Design a small tattoo of Rex for myself... may have to wait a few years, but I want one dammit. ONLY the one.

5) Start writing either "Between 2 Mountains" or "Nevar Cloud 9" so I can start the comic this summer.

6) Anything else I said I was going to do and people need to remind me! PLEASE tell me if I promised you something. I've been so here and there that I can never recall who I said I'd do what for. When you tell me I will put it up here so I can get it finished.

And, as a note, I'm not open for requests right now. I know people have asked me for things before, but I'm sorry to say I have to put your stuff on the backburner I may be open for commissions over the summer though if I can get my paypal up and running.

Ganked from =Sheana, because I'm bored and tired...

25 facts about me you probably won't care about

1) I'm notorious for breaking just about any pen someone lets me borrow. Within a matter of thirty seconds. Only with one finger. I have yet to figure out which finger is the culprit, but one day... ONE DAY...

2) Genetics are fun. My last name can either be English or Swedish. There are also a number of "spin-off" names from Tillotson, my version being the so-called "original". Tillman, Tillitson, Tillet, etc. My mother's maiden name, Graff, is German. Unfortunately we're not all too familiar with that part of the family, but supposidly they were the Royal Silversmiths in Germany up until the late 1800's. (From when I'm not sure, all I know is that they wanted out of that country ASAP lol).

On my father's side of the family they have kept the name "Locke" as every child's middle name until my birth (irony). It was supposed to be a british knighted name, though the exact reason I'm not sure... someone told me it had to do with the philosopher John Locke, though I couldn't be directly related to him seeing as he had no children.

3) My cousin is Alan Horn, President of the Warner Brothers company. I don't remember meeting him, but he's supposed to be a very nice man. I have spoken with his mother who is exceedingly generous.

4) Celebrity sightings? Well, I did get stuck on a ski lift at Smuggler's Notch with Bill Murray. I can't say I'm the biggest fan, but still, when someone that well-known is touching thighs with you on a chairlift you get nervous. I'm seriously not one of those people who runs after celebrities... more likely I run away from them... and as soon as I got off that chairlift I made sure to head in the opposite direction of wherever Mr Murray was going.

Seen a few others walking around here in the city. Nicole Kidman two years back, James Franco, Ethan Hawke. Eric Idle was in Vermont on his Greedy Bastard tour three years ago, that was exciting, got a few autographs.

5) I admit to finding a song I really like and playing it over and over and over again for hours on end. After a while some visuals play around in my mind and it becomes sort of entoxicating... in a good way though.

6) My initials spell "RAT", much to my disliking. Though an anogram for those letters is "ART" so I'm not entirely displeased When someone comes along with the initials "ASS" I won't feel so alone.

7) My bad sinuses have ultimately led to my right ear not being so hot. It's not so much that it's lost hearing as it's taken sounds and made them higher pitched. It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in a great while it does something funky which lasts for hours. Sort of a mock-swimmer's-ear if you will. Some time or another I may have to ask a doctor to dig in there.

8) I've never ever had the chicken pox. Even when I was around a large group of kids who had them I never contracted it. Some time after I turned 18 I went for an annual check-up and was asked about this. After some blood tests they came to the conclusion that I'm immune... whereas about 5% of the world's population is naturally immune. Hoozah?

9) In middle school I made the mistake of helping a friend create an improv acting club. This eventually turned disasterous as she, the lead actor and director, didn't show up on performance night. I remedied this by wearing a visor from Santa's Village and carrying a stuffed alligator, thus putting into effect the awful acting abilities of SUPERDOME. This, coupled with a mute hero and an evil sidekick who looked like a short, white, red-haired version of Irkel was possibly the most embarrassing experience I've ever had.

10) I like kiddie cartoons. Call me immature, but whatever. If the old Inspector Gadget cartoons, or Doug, or even the Care Bears come out on DVD I'm all over it. Hell, I'd like to know where the Gummi Bears ran off to, I miss that series

11) I laugh at cheesy horror flicks. Because, seriously, what else am I supposed to do with those things? XD lol

12) My mother made sure to bring me up on oldies. My grandmother made sure to bring me up on extra-oldies. So if there's a Charlie Chaplin, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, or Danny Kaye lover out there it's me.

13) I hate people who try so hard to be "original" they forget to find influence in the things arou...

It's things like this [link] which make me thankful that Pixar is in a sense "taking lead" at Disney Co.

Now, there have been films where we've all been questioning "rip-off" content. "Shark Tale" came out a little after "Finding Nemo", though, at least it had a very differing plotline.

How does "The Wild" differ from Dreamwork's "Madagascar"? Please... tell me. A group of animals from a zoo in New York City escape and wonder through the city, and are then shipped off to the wild. This must be one helluva coincidence.

So NYC has become a frantic, loopy place due to this strike. Just a minute ago I witnessed two women catfighting over a taxi that already had three people in it. Geesh, what the hell are you people ON? So what, you can't get to work on time. I'm sure no one's going to die because you couldn't get to the hairdresser's at noon.

I'm seeing alot of full taxis (more than likely all strangers) and greyhound buses that were probably hired by some inner-city companies to get their employees to work. EVERYONE is walking. 23rd is so crowded that I couldn't turn around when waiting at an intersection.

... But even through all this ludicrous insanity, I can't help but laugh at it. Everyone growling and snapping at one another like rabid wolves. Quite entertaining if you learn not to take it seriously.

My sympathies to the workers on strike. I'm sure there's a reason they're so angry, though it evades me as to its precise reason. Something about the age of retirement and pay obviously. However, I would have preferred that they negotiate with the Transit Authority for a little while longer (at least through tomorrow so I can catch my train without hastle XD lol).

Today... was a good day.

And if you know me well you realize it takes ALOT for me to say that. Well, at least, what I consider to be "alot".

I slept until 10AM. Now that's a record. And holy crow did I need it. Cleaned my room a tad then headed off to science class where our teacher promptly gave us back our final exams and said "alright, get out of here, happy holidays."

He totally forgot that we have a class next week, so I didn't have to make an excuse for not being there (seeing as I'm taking the train home to VT Wednesday). Also, I got an A on the exam! Oh, what a relief. Though it seems whatever science class I take I get good grades in... which sucks because it's the exact opposite of what I'm majoring in, but whatever.

Then I bought a pint of peanut-butter ice cream and glutonized like there was no tomorrow. Do they put drugs in peanut-butter? I'm curious, there's something about the stuff, especially when mixed with chocolate, that makes me all giggly and stupid.

Then it was time for the coup de grass, a show hosted by my teacher Howard Beckerman [link] interviewing some real greats. John R. Dilworth [link] (creator of courage the cowardly dog) is hilarious. At one point he started growling into the microphone... and then fiddled with a piece of Tom Sito's [link] hair that fell out. Threw me into the most ridiculous fit of giggles.

Alex Kupershmidt [link] described himself as "having an IQ of 57, just a few points above that of a wine cork." And Chris Prynoski [link] couldn't say two sentences without muttering an awful, but funny, obsenity.

Best bit of the show? Reeves Lehman didn't say a damn word!! HAH!
Okay, not really. Though I'm rather glad Mr Beckerman was the one asking questions seeing as Mr Lehman interviewed Peter Lord (Wallace and Gromit) and kept on pronouncing "Wererabbit" "Weee'rerabbit", much to Lord's squishy faced horror.

No, by far the best part was seeing ACTUAL drawings from movie and tv show productions. Drawings from Courage, and... to my utter excitement, a rough animation drawing of Mufasa from the Lion King. Holy heck did I want to break into that glass box and claim it. MINE. MUFASA IS MINE.

*sigh* Good day... good day

(The following is me taking artistic license out of bounds, ignore if you can't stand exaggeration!)
I know, I'm the queen of pointless journal entries...

However, I was browsing the forums and found an interesting thread pretaining to "the dumbest things you've heard from a teacher."

Well... this isn't from a teacher, rather, from a very dillusional preacher:

A coworker of mine goes to church. Now, this wouldn't be odd, seeing as about 30% of the population does the same, but unless you live in Morrisville Vermont you probably don't understand the oddballness of its people. Particularly the church-going ones.

There is, of course, the local funeral director who my mother and I know all too well seeing as funeral flower arrangements must be taken directly to him. Usually he responds with a grimace and a cuss, and that's on a good day.

Then there's Manosh, the wealthiest man around. Owner of every freakin' quarry imaginable in the state, as well as owner of every major construction company in the state. He frequents the flower shop dawning plaid and suspenders (as does every wealthy man who isn't an actor does in the area btw). He's also on wife #6 and counting.

Another wealthy man, Buck, owner of "New England's Largest Furniture Store" ... to which I add "which can only be found after climbing Mount Everest, crossing the Nile, swimming the Atlantic, and flying over the Appalachians... AKA Wolcott, Vermont. Least known town in the world." He also has a pet rock which resides outside of the store in chains for safe-keeping and tells you the weather, but that's another story entirely.

Okay, so what am I getting at here? Oh yeah. All these people go to church. And at some point they ran across a Father who is utterly obsessed with scheduling.

Now, I enjoy organized people. Hell, I'm pretty organized myself even though I deny it half the time. However, there's a point at which you have to take things in stride and throw that calendar out the window. Death for example.

This Priest believes that you should WARN HIM THREE WEEKS* AHEAD OF TIME TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FUNERAL. He said it, clearly, definately. No wax in the ears, no thirty-ton trucks wooshing by making a noise loud enough to break-up the sentence. This man wants prior warning of YOUR DEATH.

Let that sink in now.

Let it also sink in that the congregassion (or however the hell you spell that) completely accepted this.

.... just.... just.... SOMEONE SHOOT ME ALREADY. No wait, don't, then I couldn't get my funeral properly managed Woopsie, my mistake!!

Anyone want to add their stories of "dumbest things ever stated?"

EDIT: * Hahaha, I put "DAYS" there originally. And here I was saying I was overexaggerating everything

Just shouting out to see if I'm the ONLY person on the face of this planet who actually wants to go see the Chronicles of Narnia. I've gotten so many "they only did it because of WETA" and "the Shrek guys directing it, it will be awful!" and "Goblet of Fire will P4WN its ASS"'s that I almost feel bad for wanting to see it.

But dude, it's a part of my childhood. I grew up with the books and the rather poorly animated movie versions For a few years, Narnia WAS my life. Actually still quite fond of the music from the old movies now that I think about it. And regardless of hating Turkish Delight, I still find the words drool-worthy.

Also, just because this guy directed the Shrek movies doesn't mean he can't handle a live-action/dramatic film -_- Get those sticks out of your asses. There are plenty of people with a good sense of humor who can pull off a serious death scene with grandure.

Yes, WETA is doing the special effects. So what? Would you rather have some kid working from his garage making puppets out of styrofoam? Sure they worked on Lord of the Rings. Good for them, they can do OTHER THINGS TOO.

Goblet of Fire did kick ass. However, why should there be a competition between the two? They're both made from very well written and popular "children's" (omg, I'm 20, no way) books. Yes, Harry Potter is a big thing right now, but just because you like HP doesn't mean you should encourage JK Rowling to brawl with CS Lewis. Not that that's possible anyway. ... kind of a funny thought though. Maybe if Tolkien started throwing hot ashes from his pipe into the scuffle whilst Peter S. Beagle and Brian Jacques danced merrily in the background to the Macarania I wouldn't take the Lewis bashing so seriously.

Okay, now I'm just rambling...

So, I feel compelled to recall the elements of my day so far. Keep in mind I will be editing this journal at around 3AM tomorrow morning after getting back from the midnight showing of "Goblet of Fire" to rant and rave

I woke up this morning. Yeah, revalation. I woke up and said to myself "today... is going to be a good day". I said it out loud, I said it with enthusiasm, I said it like it were the last day of my life... I shouldn't have.

Not that anything that's happened so far has been BAD, it's just been oddly disturbing.

Checking my email at 6AM is a normal, everyday routine... so that's what I did. I found an email from Nick (who I haven't seen in two years) telling me that he was in NYC for the day, and that I should have breakfast with him at JFK at... 6AM *facepalms*. Well, that fell through.

Got dressed and ready for Layout class, walked out of my apartment and towards the elevators, when in front of me, from around the corner I heard the sound of someone running. It was a tennant, middle-aged, in a tank top and brief undies.

I stood like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car. (this shouldn't annoy me, I DO see naked men in drawing class every week). But seriously, WTF? What was he doing running around the 13th floor in his underpants?

Avoiding eye contact, I dashed on over to staircase A and tumbled willy-nilly down the 13 flights to the lobby.

Oh-ho, but that's not the end of it. Walking to class, even the little 3 blocks it is, was a hazard. Not physically mind you (well, if you count nearly getting run over by a bus a hazard, believe it), but mentally. For some reason I LOOK like someone who should speak French. Nevermind the fact that I somewhat can, I just seem to attract an onslaught of foreigners to my being.

So when a random guy on the street is trying to gain people's attention with "parlez vous francais?" I... stop. It was stupid. I should have kept on going... I can't speak French that fluently, sacre bleu. But thankfully he asked a rather simple question, how to get to Grand Central. Which I knew... but had to mime alot of the directions. It's crazy. NYC is crazy. What the hell am I doing in this joint?

Class was normal. Hahahaa, normal. HAHAHAHA. Ha.... heh.

So yes, Harry Potter better be F'n good >

EDIT 1: Oh yeah, does anyone else find that new "shop" icon up there ANNOYING AS HELL?????

EDIT 2: Goblet of Fire!!! ****SPOILERS... MAYBE****

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.... *snore*. I was suppose to do this at 3AM, instead I'm doing it now that I have a clear head and a bit of rest.

Alright. So, if you've read the book, this movie would make perfect sense to you. But I'm a tad wary of bringing my parents to it seeing as they never touched the books. I mean, don't get me wrong, it rocked in its own little way, but everything was so damn rushed that you couldn't keep track if you didn't know this guys name and why he does what he does. That's my own little nit-pick. Also that John Williams didn't do the music to my horror Themes were gone, and the music didn't have that flare that the first three had. It worked, but I won't be getting the soundtrack methinks.

The characters are still spot-on! Particularly Fred and George, which makes me all anxious for their piece-de-resistance in the next installment. Hermione was an angsty bitch. Ron's frilly dress robe rocks. Harry is... well, Harry (he's rather plain, isn't he?) McGonagall was quite humorous in this one, don't know why. Snape hardly had a line, but is pretty nasty with them notebooks *WHACK!*. They started playing up Neville's character, thank God. Was wondering when they were going to get to talking about him. Draco is more of a baby then ever.

Voldemort... is...

Kinda' funny. Fines' nose makes me cringe. How the hell did they do that? I imagine Michael Jackson's make-up artist had something to do with this.

Mad-eye-Moody was definately the highlight of this movie. Holy crap. I don't care how ugly he is, you just wanted to run up and hug him just so he'd hit you over the head with his cane and turn you into a newt.

The special effects = Oscars anyone? This outdoes anything I've seen... ever. It melded so well with the characters, backgrounds, everything. The dragons were... AWESOME <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/i/imslow.gif" width="19" height="19" alt=":slow:" ti...

For some reason I have this sudden urge to dye my hair an outrageous color. Like, purple, or aqua, or orange. I've NEVER done anything to my hair before, but I wouldn't mind trying a day-wash or something just to test it out.

My parent's reactions: "HOLY SH*ZNITS WTF DID YOU DO???"

Yeah, for the sake of my 92-year-old grandmother and over-60 parents, I think I'll hold off on that idea for the time being.

Yesterday we got a little surprise in Mr Beckerman's animation class. A Mrs Rossner (I hope that's how it's spelled) stopped by to show us an amazing wealth of work she's produced in the background genre. It seems as though eveyone in our school has worked for Beavis and Butthead (don't know if i should consider that good or bad) and PB+J Otter. But a few have also worked on a childhood favorite of mine, that being "Doug". NO, not the Disney-bought-out-Nick version, AUGH. The original in all it's shakey-lined and voice-over-riffic glory. I miss Skeeter, I miss Klutz, I miss Pork-Chop, and most of all, I miss QuailMan and his underpants-over-regular-pants-wearing attitude. And being able to Stupify people of course, I'd give up my left foot to be able to do that. No, make that my right foot.

Anyways, Mrs Rossner (along with my current layout teacher Freya) made alot of those backgrounds. Mr Swirley's, that shifty looking pond, the Bluffington water tower...

and Quailman's Lair!:
Well, I didn't have to dig very far. This isn't really an urban legend, but it's really interesting all the same I never knew that people came from all over the world to see this cemetary, but supposidly it's a landmark in plot-landscaping.
It's something... ever since I can remember my grandmother has been substituting cuss words with "poodles", "chicken snaps", or "Oy, begorny". What's even more disturbing is that, being bought up by the old witch, some of this has worn off on me as I seem to be saying these phrases out loud without conscious will.

Alright, getting back on track. Busy busy busy. I'll be heading off the the Museum of Natural History tomorrow for my science class... though I've been there so many times I don't know what I'd be missing if I decided... not to go.

HEY, I haven't missed a single freakin' class yet this semester! Don't go telling me I'm lazy!! Besides, I did the exam for that class already, wouldn't be missing much. Could probably draw out a map of that museum if you asked me. I complete my homework, read the materials, show up on time. One class won't be THAT bad.

Talking about science... I'm listening to the Gorillaz' "19-2000". That song seriously never gets old. Something you can listen to over and over and over again without getting really bored. So fun.

I normally love the rain... but when it's been coming down for four days straight my umbrella starts looking a bit ragged and my jacket won't dry. So, if you haven't noticed there's this little thing called "terrorism". And, if you happen to be residing in New York at the moment you'd also notice a half-stoned-looking Mayor warning us that for the next week or so there is a hightened threat of it in the subway systems.

To further agrivate the situation we've been asked not to carry around baggage.

How the HELL am I suppose to get to the Bronx Monday? Here I am, frizzy hair and all with a side pouch filled with dangerous, toxic, and flammable paints taking the subway to the Bronx Zoo where I'm sure to yell at some kid for using my hair as a paintbrush, thus ensuing a reign of chaos never before seen in the history of JungleWorld Habitat #3.

Or maybe they think I should loose a few pounds by walking. Yeah, that's it. I'll walk to the Bronx from South Manhattan, I'll just have to start at 5AM.

Whatever... if they think a pack of watercolors is a threat then I fear for this city's sanity (as if it had any in the first place.)
I need to finish everything within the next two weeks.

What I am happy about? I skipped a class for the first time in 2004/2005 history this morning. Damn did I need the sleep. It's not that horrible, I just have to go out and rent the movie I missed in that class.

What is today? Behold Spring Cleaning!! Seriously, my room looks like Dorothy's house from the Wizard of Oz after the tornado hit. Without the dead witch underneath it. Though god knows, I may find one underneath all those papers

The laundry facilities here haven't been working for three weeks. It smells. Bad. Damn. Time to hand wash all my clothes and let them dry in the shower. Maybe get some of that glade spray and use an entire can in my room.

Disney's coming for reviews two weeks from now, and I can't go because I have a class during their visiting hours Arghles. They better show their behinds up next year when I have less classes and more time to make portfolio stuffs.

AAAAaaaand... there's a whole messload of other things I could talk about, but I need to start cleaning and then writing more essays for a class on Tuesday. Essays... they should all burn in hell.

So, yes, I'll be back... soonish ><

Let us clear a few things up...

Alright. I'm down to only a few thousand messages now lol XD Once I completely clear them I'll be able to actually see what people have updated and I need to catch up on.

Though, something is annoying me right now. I've been getting emails from a few people on here. I want to get back to them, and I will soonish.
Also (this isn't directed at anyone here, just people in general) I'm NOT a furry artist. I'm NOT JUST doing fanart. People have been agrivated with me because I don't stick to one genre and focus on it. I draw whatever my mind tells me to draw at the time. I'd draw a charicature of Woody Allen, a cartoon horse, and a life drawing on the same page and completely throw people off balance. Is there something wrong with that? Is it the ADD acting up? lol I CAN'T focus on one genre. It HURTS.

So please, for those of you NOT on DA (thank god everyone on DA I've met so far is friendly and good about this) who thinks I'm a Furry... respect the fact that I don't just draw animals. I love to draw animals, yes. But I don't specialize in it. I just don't fit into that category.

That said...

Finished homework already? Its a miracle!

Mood: wait, who are you?

Well, almost... I finished the homework for tomorrow... which is absolutely marvelous since I usually wait until 11PM to even start it all.

Since we're on the subject of work; might as well see what's going on for the summer. Appears that my job position at the greenhouses might very well be taken.

Good aspect of this: I could actually FINISH the website and start up commissions... maybe even leave some banners around my queer little village of a home in Vermont to start getting this career on the move.

Bad aspect of this: Lack of incoming funds. I SERIOUSLY need the money. There are absolutely no jobs available in VT (at least my part) that dont require you to lift 100 pounds on a regular basis. Not doing that again. Especially since its over the summer, and that sun gets damn brutal. As well as the mosquito population.

If I'm lucky I'll get myself a job at the ski resort's summer programming. Most likely I'll be stuck babysitting children, which isnt bad. I can cook, clean, etc,... just hope I dont have to deal with diapers O_o

Internships... big no-no I'm told from my animation teacher. Of course, he mostly thinks it's "free labor", which I'm rather inclined to agree with. Still, it wouldnt hurt. Problem is... around these studios its WHO you know, not WHAT you know. In my case, I know hardly anyone. I dont go on drinking parties with the management, or act like a moron in order to entertain the admin. I do my work with a good amount of effort... converse when I need to, get things done on time, and I'm done. What's wrong with that? I just figure if anyone likes me (platonically thank you lol) they'd invite me somewhere... I'm not one to annoy.

What annoys me is that most people I know fairly well dont even know my name. I've been in your class and conversed with you for nearly two years now... and you can't remember my name? Gosh, am I THAT invisible? Suppose so. Maybe I should start going to class with a dead pigeon on my head to gain some recognition. Yeah... that might work.

Otherwise, not much happening here. Got the first 100 Strong Bad Emails on DVD... The menus annoy me for some reason. They're all 3-D animated versions of the characters that look a little... glitchy. The extras are cool though XD Some wonderful "TROGDOR" Karoake and Puppet-Time videos.

Oh, and Brad's mother's killer brownies are awesome. I send you all a piece of the carmely, chocolatie bliss. And ginger snaps. And peanut-butter fudge. And cheesecake flavored rice-pudding.
I'm healthy,... oh yes.

Argh... I keep on rambling lol Just to tell you, I owe a hella' LOT of pictures to you guys. I'm workin' on it, havent forgotten. Just need to find a break in here somewhere. If only Napoleon Dynamite's time machine actually worked... I'd be making one of my own.
