I love snow, but not so much I want to be out in it. For the first time ever, I had to call out from work today because I couldn't get out of my driveway. The snowplows hadn't even gone through our streets yet. So, instead of working, I spent three hours helping my family shovel snow out of our driveway so that I might be able to go to work tomorrow morning.

All the while, the snow kept falling. It's still falling. By the time we got to the end of the driveway, the first part we'd shoveled was already several inches deep again. We're getting past the two foot mark and the snow is still coming down.

Crazy times, but it sure does look pretty.

On a side note, another character is mentioned here who hasn't made an appearance yet.

Rules
1. You must use only ONE of your OCs Do it again if you wanna use another OC.
2. Your OC must answer every question as truthfully as possible.
3. Title the journal as "OCs Quiz (your OCs name)".
4. When you're done, tag as many people as you want.
5. Have fun!!!

1. Hi! What's your real name and nickname?
Hey, I'm Avery Bennet. A lot of my coworkers at The Golden Frog call me Ava (not sure why), but I really prefer Avery. Recently, I've been called Avarice, but that's a little harder to explainÂ

2. Interesting... what's your current age?
Nineteen.

3. Uh huh. What's your favorite food?
Deep fried apple fritters, although I don't want to be anywhere nearby when they're cooking.

4. And your favorite drink?
Cherry coke. Sometimes I can get complimentary cups of it at work.

5. Confession time! Who's your crush/lover?
Well, I guess Ms. Charity Dives is sort of a crush. She's way out of my league though. Seriously, her father makes a living buying and selling art, owns one hell of a gallery in town, and, well, it's weird enough that she's the one who started flirting with me.

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?
No. I'm fairly certain her father would kill me.

7. Classic question! What's your favorite color?
Yellow... You know, that's really cliché now that I know I'm supposed to be the sin Avarice.

8. Who's your favorite author?
Uh... Dr. Seuss?

9. Now what's your biggest fear?
I'm kind of afraid of the deep fryers at work. Long story short, it was a frying accident that took my family and home away from me. Some of my coworkers think it's funny and like to deliberately start frying things when I'm walking by.

10. *stifles a giggle* I'm not laughing *bursts out laughing* Sorry. Any siblings?
That's just not cool. No, no siblings, although I think Dexter has adopted me as his "big brother".

11. Almost, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
Ebenezer Scrooge. No, seriously, he's an amazing fellow. It takes a lot to reform like that and go from complete miser to charitable philanthropist.

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
Right now, some crazy angel guy calling himself Micah St. George. He's trying to kill me because I'm the manifestation of the sin avarice (which basically means I can turn things I touch into gold and back; haven't figured out the turning back part yet).

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
Umm... one's kind of a fictional character, so...

14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
Probably draw her portrait.

15. Okay, I'll contact them right now. Done! Now, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An artist. I love to draw, although recently I've been trying my hand at clay sculpture. I seem to have a knack for it.

16. What's your worst nightmare?
Falling into a vat of boiling oil. I've had that one ever since the fire.

17. What's your lifelong dream?
Earn enough of a stable income to afford a place to live and other things I need, like food and maybe some new clothes.

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
Probably pinch myself a few times to make sure it was real, then feel remarkably relieved. Then I'd take a nice long nap.

19. Ok, where's your favorite place to relax?
There's this nice spot in the park that has a good view of the bike path and the fountain. I like to sit there and draw people as they go about their day.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
Unfortunately, working at The Golden Frog so I can afford some basic needs. I'd rather be drawing.

21. We're done! Now tag whoever you want. DO IT!
*stares* Um... *tags *

Seeing as tagged everyone, I decided I would give this a whirl. So, five weird things about me:

I've played more male roles than female roles. When I was in high school, I was big into theater. I was in all eight shows my school did from my freshman year through my senior year. My first show was The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; I was cast as Edmund. It sort of became a trend after that. I even prefer playing male characters in Dungeons & Dragons now. Go figure.

I've been to nine funerals, all but one within my close family. Three grandmothers, two grandfathers, three uncles, and my best friend's brother. If you do the math, that's an average of one funeral every two years. I went to my first (one of my uncle's) when I was four: it was a viewing. Mom seems to think this is why I come up with such morbid story ideas.

I know the entire script to Stitch's Great Escape in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom by heart, especially the section from the briefing room. I used to be a cast member in Tomorrowland, and when you hear an attraction's script over and over and over again, you can't help but memorize it. By the way, Sarg's full name is Sargent C4073BK274-90210.

I walk on my tiptoes. Ever since I learned to walk, I've been walking on my toes. There's no explanation for it, medical or otherwise. I just do. As I've gotten older, I've "trained" myself to walk correctly, but I still walk tiptoed more often than flatfooted.

I invent languages as a hobby. Currently, I've got about three in the works. I tend to make up languages for stories, and then put them aside when I take a break from a particular plot. And I'm not talking about simple letter substitutions or backwards English. These languages have complete grammar and syntax rules. Here's an example of the one I have the furthest along: My name is Kate = Ka-tei ama mein ibatu.

If you're reading this, I tag you.

Michael calls me Lu.

2. Interesting... what's your current age?
Unfathomable. I don't even know for certain what my actual age is. I prefer to appear to be just older than the age of majority, so as it is, I seem to be in my mid-twenties.

3. Uh huh. What's your favorite food?
Fruit, especially apples. His orders seem to undermine my own, so we've been arguing a lot lately.

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?
Yes. I quite miss it.

7. Classic question! What's your favorite color?
Uh... gray? I have achromatopsia...

8. Who's your favorite author?
*smiles softly* Now who do you think?

9. Any siblings?
Apparently, you've never had religious fanatics trying to kill you on a regular basis. I have no siblings, at least not in the human sense of the term.

11. Almost, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
Michael. He was the first of us, and my dearest friend.

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
Lilith. If there is anyone who can truly be called evil, then it is she. Her unhealthy obsession with me doesn't help either.

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
I would be utterly heartbroken and terrified.

14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
That's a loaded question, don't you think?

15. Okay, I'll contact them right now. Done! Now, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Well, I've always known my orders, even in this human guise. My mortal dream was to run my father's business, Sterling & Son Books.

16. What's your worst nightmare?
Failing my orders, and letting Lilith accomplish her goals.

17. What's your lifelong dream?
I... I can't say I have one. My life is eternal, and so there is nothing I cannot eventually accomplish.

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
I suppose if I had nothing left to do, I would ask to retire to mortality.

19. Ok, where's your favorite place to relax?
In the garden on the roof of the bookstore, under the apple tree.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
My divine duties, although that usually involves a lot of waiting, so I read in the meantime.

21. We're done! Now tag whoever you want.
I have randomly decided to create a coded clue for my players for the D&D game I'll be starting this Friday. Just something for fun, you know? They will be fine without it, but a little hint here and there can go a long way (and make the players feel really smart). Plus, should they solve the clue, I think I'll award them all 1,000 XP or something along those lines, just for the fun of it.

Heck, if anyone here solves it, maybe I can draw you something.

And so, the coded message:

3061422545544665493348575130314543005142 3007465648975291308531105015501731693290 40684090

And because I'm not entirely cruel, here are some hints to solving it:

The message is four words long. The shortest word is three letters long.

The letter "e" only occurs once. Letters that appear more than once are represented by different numbers.

"B" could be represented as 4011, 94101, or even 84239, among other combinations.

The "code-book" can be found in Wal-Mart or online.

Formatting makes the number string look a little odd. I removed all spaces and punctuation when I coded this. Any spaces or breaks in the string of numbers is purely because of the journal format.

Good luck! ^_^

So much has been going on lately, I've been neglecting my articles for the Examiner, but no more! At last, here is my latest article (and a two parter to boot!).

Naming characters can be difficult, especially for fantasy games like Dungeons and Dragons. Players want their characters to have awesome, fantastic names, but choosing one (or, more often, creating one) can be a challenge even the most veteran player is hesitant to tackle. Many times, a real name will do, but sometimes you just want that strange and wonderful name that can only be found in fiction. Creating a realistic fantasy name seems to be a contradiction unto itself, but by following a few simple guidelines, you can always have a great name for your characters...

Other Articles:
Gaming gold: homemade miniatures
Adventure tools: monster builder review
Integrating new players into an old game
Gaming gold: battle grids vs gaming paper vs dungeon tiles

So, it turns out there's a local scarecrow contest that my family (read: my mother) wanted to enter. We went and registered, got our "kit" (which consists of a bag of hay and a wooden support), and started discussing options. Mom wanted to do a Celtic/Irish/Scottish themed one, but my sister and I thought it was completely cheesy (not to mention difficult, with what we would need to get in order to make it). The my dad got injured, so the task was left to me and my sister. She lost interest, so now I am the sole creator of this project. Since I didn't really like the first idea, I had to come up with a better one. We finally came to an agreement on something that was simple enough to make, but more unique than tossing hay in hand-me-downs...

I am making the Other Mother from Coraline. First version, since one of the rules for the contest is that the scarecrows can't be too frightening. I finished her face a couple of days ago, and I've been working on her hair all day today. If things go well, I'll be ready to stuff and assemble it tomorrow.

And yes, I will take pictures when it's done.

Just wanted to share ^_^

Today my stepdad had to be taken to the hospital after he injured his back while trying to lift something heavy at work. He's never had any back problems before, so we were all pretty surprised. They've got him on painkillers now, and he should be alright to come home this evening, but he may be out of work for a while. I hope everything turns out alright and this doesn't become a more serious problem. Needless to say, I'm very worried.

Well, I've got a new job (at last!), and this has cut into my article writing a bit, but here's the latest! Remember, I get paid per click, so visit daily to help me out ^_^.

Once your gaming group is equipped with a battle grid of some sort, the next things you need are miniatures: tokens to represent characters and monsters on the board. Found objects – folded paper, small rocks, unused dice, board game tokens, etc. – work marvelously for this task, but don’t look particularly appealing in play. It can also be difficult to remember what each token represents, especially if the same token isn't consistently used as the same creature. At the other end of the spectrum, you could buy official miniatures, but at $10.99 for a pack of three (or more, for larger packs and pieces), official pieces can be a strain on your wallet. Unofficial miniatures work too, but again, they can be pricey (and don’t always fit on the board). Additionally, pre-made miniatures will never perfectly represent that amazingly unique character you've created, and you’re limited by what designs are available.

So why not make your own...

Other Articles:
Adventure tools: monster builder review
Integrating new players into an old game
Gaming gold: battle grids vs gaming paper vs dungeon tiles

I just started writing articles for the Examiner, specifically geared towards Dungeons & Dragons and character building. I get paid per pageview, so please check it out! Here's a snippet:

Dungeons and Dragons players have several options when it comes to battle grids (sometimes called combat grids or battle maps), and depending on your group's play style, how often you play, and your budget, some options may be better than others. Since the use of miniatures is a major part of the game, having a map to work on is almost as important as having a character sheet. A basic grid is even included in the back of the Dungeon Master's Guide! Gamers wanting more variety in their dungeons, however, will want to resort to more creative options...

So, after some thought, I've decided to try my hand at commissions again. It's been a while and my style has drastically improved. I just got a new job, but the way scheduling works out is actually very good for doing commissioned art on the side. Besides...

My mother doesn't think I can do it >_<.

Anywho, I'll be taking commissions for the new vector-style I've been doing, as I'm finding it the most enjoyable to work with at the time. Here are the prices (and samples, where I have them):

BASE PRICES

Head shot: $5 Sample

Full-body Portrait: $10 Sample, Sample

Full-body Dynamic Portrait: $15 Sample (NOTE: This generally means any pose where the character doesn't look like he's stopped to take a picture, ie. caught in the moment.)

ADD-ONS

No Background/Simple Background: +$0 No BG Sample, Simple BG Sample

Stylistic Background: +$5 Sample (This would be a simple, abstract design behind your character)

Scenery or Complex Background: +$10 (NOTE: I am not very good at backgrounds, so these would have to be based on stock images or my own photos. The price is based on the effort needed to find an appropriate backdrop. If you supply one, the price will be +$0)

Per Additional Character (up to 4): +$5 per character

Per Additional Charcter (5+): Negotiable

WILL DO & WON'T DO
As the name implies, these are things I will and won't take for commissions.

I will draw...

Artistic nudes

Light romance (hugging, kissing, holding hands, etc.)

Couples

Same-sex couples

Mostly-human anthros

Original characters

RPG characters

Simple, uncluttered, and tasteful Gaia avatars

Avatars from other sites that are simple and tasteful

I won't draw...

Anything overtly sexual or erotic

Mostly-animal anthros

Pets or other animals (sorry)

Fan-art, OC/Canon couples, or anything that is not your own creation

Mary Sue characters that are too close to a Canon character

Cluttered, complex, or off-the-wall Gaia avatars

Avatars from other sites that are complex or cluttered

And so, to conclude, I will be starting with five open slots for commissions. Leave a message in this journal to snag a slot and note me with your request. All payment must be made via PayPal, and should be made before I begin work on your commission. In return, I will keep you updated on the progress of your project. All completed commissions will be digital only.

COMMISSION LIST

The character has something of a split personality, so this was an interesting challenge, to say the least.

Just in case there's any confusion, Zain is the one I drew; his other personality, Rook, looks exactly the same, except his skin turns red and instead of crystals for hair, his hair is flames.

Rules

Salutations. I am Zain Amir yah-Ruk, royal vizier to Sultana Malika of Memnon, Calimshan, however I am more infamously known as Rook. I should note that, as a genesi with both the stormsoul and firesoul manifestations, the two halves of my spirit prefer one name over the other. I prefer Zain, while the Wildfire... / By Selune, he sure is wordy, ain't he? Rook here! Don't mind Thunder-Roll; he gets like that sometimes.

2. Interesting... what's your current age?
I have just turned thirty-three. / Yeah, what he said.

3. Uh huh. What's your favorite food?
Curry. / Curry.

4. And your favorite drink?
Water, please. / If it knocks the dwarf flat on his ass, I'll take it!

5. Confession time! Who's your crush/lover?
Can't say I have one, to be honest. / Oh please! Our little Raven has quite the tush, don't you think? Who am I kidding? I know you do *smirks*.

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?
*tries to hide blushing* That would be vastly inappropriate... / I licked her ear once. Does that count?

7. Classic question! What's your favorite color?
Violet. / Red.

8. Who's your favorite author?
There was this marvelous tome I once read by... / Pfft! Who has time to read?

9. Now what's your biggest fear?
It would be absolutely horrifying to completely lose myself to my emotions. / *shudders* Water. Fucking. Hate. Water.

10. *stifles a giggle* I'm not laughing *bursts out laughing* Sorry. Any siblings?
*Raises an eyebrow* Perhaps you're comfortable with being out of control... I have one sibling, my younger sister Zahra. / *Glares angrily, flames flaring up around his head* I'M FUCKING ON FIRE! WHY SHOULDN'T I BE AFRAID OF WATER?! *ignores question*

11. Almost, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
Both of my parents, my father in particular. He was the vizier before I took the position. / Meh, who needs 'em? I guess my dad...

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
*Scoffs* Rook. / *sniggers* Zain.

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
*Is so appalled he only stares in shock.* / *Laughs hysterically* Oh gods! I think Mum would kill us both!

14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
Tell her she has some very... interesting character concepts. / *winks* Hey there, cupcake. Wanna play with fire?

15. Okay, I'll contact them right now. Done! Now, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A vizier, like my father. / He who punishes the rich by robbing them blind without them even noticing! *dramatic pose*.

16. What's your worst nightmare?
Allowing Tam to come to some harm because of my actions. / Drowning.

17. What's your lifelong dream?
To eventually retire from reforming nobles. Only so much can be done in one's lifetime, and I'd like to settle down in a nice villa and start my own family. / Get Zain to loosen up a bit and stop fighting with me. We'll both be better off if we can work together.

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
Sigh in relief. / Perhaps pipe down a bit. Maybe. *shifty eyes*

19. Ok, where's your favorite place to relax?
I seldom do, but a nice chair in a library would be wonderful. / Anywhere I can take a decent nap. Pfft. I'm not picky.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
Adventuring and keeping Tam out of trouble. / Adventuring and getting into trouble with Raven.

21. We're done! Now tag whoever you want. DO IT!
*shrugs* As tempting as that may be, I really don't care who does this next. / *tackles random person*

Interesting... what's your current age?
Officially, I'm only about six months old. I was made, however, to appear to be in my twenties.

3. Uh huh. What's your favorite food?
Ummm... cookies?

4. And your favorite drink?
Juice?

5. Confession time! Who's your crush/lover?
I... don't understand love yet... *blushes*

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?
Since I don't have a crush or lover, no.

7. Classic question! What's your favorite color?
White.

8. Who's your favorite author?
Most of what I read is alchemy texts, but I enjoy Charles Dickens' works.

9. Now what's your biggest fear?
*chews on lip and looks away* Losing my strength and alchemical abilities in the presence of enemies.

10. *stifles a giggle* I'm not laughing *bursts out laughing* Sorry. Any siblings?
*stares, confused* I have a sibling homunculus, Que.

11. Almost, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
*blushes* Ms. Brogan Romero.

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
Mr. Horace. The rest of the Enlightened too, but mostly Mr. Horace. And perhaps Professor Atticus Arres, my creator, but he's too busy with his other projects to be much of a threat anymore.

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
I... don't think Mr. Horace even likes women...

14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
I already... oh, you mean Kate? Well, I have a list of questions going...

15. Okay, I'll contact them right now. Done! Now, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Grow up? I was never a child. I don't think homunculi can grow up.

16. What's your worst nightmare?
*shivers and looks away* I don't want to talk about it. Suffice to say it was brutal, cruel, and involved the Enlightened.

17. What's your lifelong dream?
I don't have one. I'm not sure what I will do. I suppose I would like to find a way to cure the worst flaws in humanity, or at least improve them, beginning with physical health, as it is the most easily quantifiable.

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
I'm fairly certain at this point that complete fulfillment of that is impossible.

19. Ok, where's your favorite place to relax?
A quiet corner anywhere, with a candle and a book.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
Asking questions.

21. We're done! Now tag whoever you want. DO IT!
*stares, confused*

You must use only ONE of your OCs Do it again if you wanna use another OC.
2. Your OC must answer every question as truthfully as possible.
3. Title the journal as "OCs Quiz (your OCs name)".
4. When you're done, tag as many people as you want.
5. Have fun!!!

1. Hi! What's your real name and nickname?
Celestine Santelli was my given name, although I go by Cei Ellem now (and for clarification, it is pronounced Kay Ehl-ehm).

2. Interesting... what's your current age?
Around 700, although I'm told that I still look to be in my twenties. Vampirism had a few advantages.

3. Uh huh. What's your favorite food?
Hmm... I like seafood, especially shrimp.

4. And your favorite drink?
Would you believe water? To be honest, I was never particularly fond of blood, despite the necessity.

5. Confession time! Who's your crush/lover?
*blushes* Detective Brendan Graham. We just got engaged.

6. Aww! Have you two kissed yet?
Hahaha... of course. Among other things.

7. Classic question! What's your favorite color?
Raspberry.

8. Who's your favorite author?
That's a tough one... Lewis Carrol?

9. Now what's your biggest fear?
Being forced to become a cruenta again.

10. *stifles a giggle* I'm not laughing *bursts out laughing* Sorry. Any siblings?
*glares* I'm not sure how you could find that in any way funny... I had a sibling of sorts; a young man named Ashton Rutilare. He was changed by the same cruentus who changed me. No real siblings, however.

11. Almost, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero?
*smiles* Well, I am marrying him...

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
It's a close call between my pater, Lios Druclerd, and my brother, Ashton. Lios arguably had more control over me, but Ashton has done more damage.

13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy got together?
*tries not to laugh*. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but that has already happened. Lios and Ashton are both dead.

14. Interesting... what would you do if you met your creator?
Probably have a very long conversation about cruenti *sighs*.

15. Okay, I'll contact them right now. Done! Now, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I just wanted to get married and have children.

16. What's your worst nightmare?
Isn't that the same as worst fear? If Lios were alive... *shivers*

17. What's your lifelong dream?
Create a cure for vampirism.

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
It already has, and I cured myself.

19. Ok, where's your favorite place to relax?
In my study, with my books.

20. Last question! What do you spend most of your time doing?
Working on my experiments. Hopefully, I'll be able to find more, useful elixirs.

21. We're done! Now tag whoever you want.
So, I recently got fired. A week ago, actually. The manager told me I wasn't "meeting their expectations." That's all well and good, but it didn't make sense: I was beating my sales goals for the day, often times selling double what I needed to; I was getting tons of direct sales; and I had gotten two excellent customer reviews (getting a review at all is rare). No one had said anything about the quality of my work other than praise. I was even complimented by the district manager. So once I had calmed down from the emotional shock of being fired, I went back in to get a clarification on what "not meeting expectations" meant.

It took me two trips, but I finally got an answer.

First, the reason for my job termination was changed to both the first they gave me and the economy: last one hired, first one fired, essentially. As for meeting expectations...

I was apparently not meeting the UPT goal for my department.

UPT is Units Per Transaction. The goal for my department was three. This meant that for every transaction, we were supposed to sell at least three items. Failing to meet that goal is, it seems, a fire-able offense.

So, let's say my sales goal for the day is $200. I get four customers who each buy a mix and match swimsuit top and bottom (at about $50 for each piece, that $100 per transaction). With those four transactions, I have already doubled my sales goal.

But...

Since each customer only purchased two items, my average UPT was two, below the goal of three.

And so I was fired.

WTF?

Well, not really lots, but still...

I finally have a job! Yay me! Now I can (hopefully) afford to pay for my two online classes. I just got cast in an online radioplay of Neil Gaiman's Coraline as one of the ghost children, and Coraline's understudy (although the first choice accepted the role, but still...). I'm already in two other radioplays: Pirate Crewperson in Twin Stars, episode 7 and Female Voice Over the Intercom in The Sonic Chronicles, episode 1. This part as one of the ghost children is the largest one I've had in a production thus far. I'm really excited!

Oh, and in the future, I'll be producing Cruenti as a radioplay. If you don't have ten original characters, then you can use the voices in your head.

(Because I can, I'm gonna make them all from Aligeri)

Alyx

Chay

Mephistis

Daniel/David (I'm counting them as one, since their pretty much inseparable)

Feles

Mercurius

Ruby

Rainer

Garnet

Zephyr

(I need more female characters...)

So....4, 9, and 3 are all eating a radioactive pie. Do they say anything about it's radioactivity?
- Daniel/David: "Dave! What are you eating?!" "This strange, glowing, green pie. It tastes like melons. Want some?"
- Garnet: "Mercurius made me do it..."
- Mephistis: "What's radioactive?"

7 decides to take up line dancing. Does this end well?
- *Suddenly envisions Ruby in Country/Western garb* Yeah, I'd say so. She already knows how to ballroom dance.

If 6 and 1 are on Mars playing Checkers, then where are 5 and 9?
- If Mercurius and Alyx are on Mars playing checkers, then Feles and Garnet are probably en route to stop whatever nefarious plan the evil man has for the aligeri.

10 becomes gay/lesbian!!!! What does 6 say?
- Mercurius: *pondering Zephyr for a moment* "Hmm... I wonder what blue tastes like..."

If 4, 3, and 6 were to jump off of a waterfall, would any of them die?
- At this point in time, only Mephistis might. He can swim alright, but armor has a tendency to make that difficult. Daniel and David currently have their souls trapped, so they couldn't die from the fall, and Mercurius is immortal.

After jumping off of the waterfall, would 6 be stupid enough to do it again?
- There's nothing stupid about it for Mercurius. He can't die from the fall anyway.

You are falling from 8,952 feet in the air. You can either land on, and kill, 3 or 5. Who do you choose?
- Feles. She's immortal and wouldn't die. Besides, Mephistis is too small to break my fall.

If 4 was to open up a lemonade stand and then get sued for selling toxic lemonade, what would they do?
- Daniel: "Dave, you idiot. You made this from the same stuff as that pie, didn't you?"
- David: "But it was yummy..."

7 and 1 are getting married! The catch? 7 is already married to 3 and 1 is already married to 8!!! What does 5 do?
- Feles wonders what the hell was put into their food that made Ruby marry Mephistis and Alyx marry Rainer. She wouldn't object to Ruby marrying Alyx, though, and as long as someone killed Rainer beforehand, Mephistis wouldn't be too upset by it either.

Is 1 hot?
- Absolutely, Alyx is hot. Ask Icy's character, Clarice.

If 10 was to get mauled by a rabid hippopotamus on steroids, what would 3 do?
- Zap the hippopotamus with his magic and hope that Zephyr was alright. He doesn't know him at all, but that looked like it was painful.

If 3 was to get mauled by a rabid hippopotamus on steroids, what would 10 do?
- Use his bardic music to calm the creature down and get him to release the sprite. Hey, Mephisitis saved him, so Zephyr owes him one.

Now lets say that they were both mauled by said hippopotamus. What would they do?
- Zephyr would cast Dimension Hop and teleport away. Sorry Mephistis; it's every man for himself.

Now lets say that the hippopotamus remarked that 10 tasted like mustard. What would 3 say?
- Mephistis: "Wait, a hippopotamus can't talk..."

If 7 was sat on by a rabid hippopotamus, would 1 laugh?
- Hell no! Alyx has been charged with protecting Ruby. He'd try to save her.

Everyone throws 5 a surprise birthday party. The surprise? It's not 5's birthday. What happens?
- Feles laughs and helps pass around cake. Even she doesn't remember when her own birthday is: she's over 2,000 years old.

4 becomes a rabid hippopotamus and begins to chew up 3. Does 3 survive?
- No. Mephistis is barely a mouthful. The David hippo probably thinks he tastes funny.

7 challenges 2 to a wood-eating contest. Why?
- Because Ruby has run out of interesting things to do around the palace and is bored, and Chay (being able to turn into a hare) would probably be the only person willing to oblige her.

6 decides to become a homicidal, bisexual, taxi cab dri...

Doing this thing again, now with a new character!

Rainer: Oh! So I get some attention now?

1) What's your character's name? Rainer Latimer
2) How old is he/she? 16
3) Is your OC a boy or girl? Male, although he is frequently teased for his effeminate appearance
4) What's his/her race? Human

Appearance:
1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get? Rainer tends to blend in pretty well, although the tuft of hair he colors regularly might get some attention.
2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world? At first glance, yes, but after a few minutes with him it becomes pretty obvious that something isn't quite right with Rainer...
3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)? His eyes, actually, as he has a habit of staring at various people and objects for long periods without blinking.
4) Would you consider your OC as attractive? Not really, but don't tell him I said that.

Personality:
1) Temper: Passive aggressive. He generally comes off as being very taciturn, but he has a malicious streak that will come back to get you when you least expect it. It's almost impossible to tell what sets him off.
2) Does your character ever get depressed? If he does, it's hard to tell. His depression usually channels directly into anger.
3) Leader or Follower? Neither, although he likes to play at being a follower. Rainer doesn't like to be in charge, but he hates being ignored.
4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality? Rainer somehow manages to seem both shy and curious at the same time, and tends to come off as being innocent and childish. Don't be fooled: this facade hides a very twisted, sadistic mind, and he revels in getting revenge on people who have "wronged" him.

History:
1) Does your OC have a family of any sort? If so, are they still alive? Yes and yes: his sister, Hestia.
2) Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why? Now he is, only because he forced his group to split up for easier targeting. That plan worked a little too well, so he's trying to find his missing "allies" again.
3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events? He once walked in on his sister and Zephyr... um, yeah.
4) What was probably the best time in his/her life so far? Any time Hestia shows affection towards him.

Romance:
1) Single? Yes, and doesn't care.
2) Has your OC developed any romantic relationships? He loves his sister. No, really, he loves his sister... She certainly doesn't see him that way, however.
3) Virgin? No, but only because he can afford to pay for the service.
4) Does your character like flirting? He doesn't flirt.

Symbolism:
1) What animal would you associate your OC with? A fox.
2) What/Does your OC's name mean anything? In going with the elemental theme that Zephyr started, I chose Rainer's name for the way it sounded (ie. similar to rain). Apparently, the name itself means "army counsel." Latimer is random and doesn't mean anything specific.
3) Musical Instrument? A lute, which he also plays.
4) Element? Water.
5) Planet? Let's go with Neptune.

Showing the Love:
1) Do you draw your character? Yep. Just started.
2) Do you write about him/her? There will most likely be some in the future
3) Do you use him/her in any rpgs? Rainer was designed as part of Zephyr's backstory. Whether or not the DM uses him is up for debate.
4) What other ways have you appreciated your OC? Doing this thing.

RANDOMIZE!
1) Is your character wanted for anything? Murder, petty larceny, murder, trickery, chicanery... did I mention murder?
2) What are three weaknesses in him/her? Short stature, unpredictable temper, psychologically unstable
3) Strengths? Deceptively innocent appearance.
4) Does your OC drink or smoke (ect.)? Neither really. He isn't particularly fond of alcohol.
5) What's one quirk about him/her? Rainer gets incredibly jealous of other men, believing that they're all trying to take his sister away from him. He hates Zephyr in particular.
6) Does your character have any phobias? Fear of abandonment, maybe. He doesn't like being left out of the group (when he's with one).
7) What could you do to get him/her into a blind rage? Announce that his sister is getting married to Zephyr (or another man, but that will get the best reaction).
8) Does your OC like chickens? He likes to cut their heads off and see how long they keep running around.

PlayList!
Totally stealing this from ~Icysapphire. I needed to do a little info on this character anyway ^_^

Zephyr: You can't be serious...

1) What's your character's name? Zephyr Mayen
2) How old is he/she? 26
3) Is your OC a boy or girl? Male, though it's no surprise he's occasionally mistaken for female.
4) What's his/her race? lesser air genasi (aka, he has ancestors who were djinn)

Appearance:
1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get? He's blue. Let's think about this for a moment...
2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world? Exotic, yes, but still generally normal. It isn't like genasi are completely unheard of.
3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)? He's blue...
4) Would you consider your OC as attractive? Oh yes. Physically, at least. He's a little too aloof for me on a more personal level.

Personality:
1) Temper: As unpredictable as the wind. He could be perfectly calm one second then suddenly fly off the handle at something seemingly meaningless.
2) Does your character ever get depressed? Other people might think he's depressed, but really he's just daydreaming. He tends to drift off into his own thoughts...
3) Leader or Follower? Generally a follower, though he has no qualms with speaking his mind. He'll do whatever he thinks is best in a given situation, and more often than not, that means agreeing with whatever ego-centric maniac is in charge to avoid conflicts later.
4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality? Zephyr is aloof. He doesn't openly volunteer much information about himself, only as much as he needs to get people to stop asking questions. When in doubt, a spell or two can make people go away.

History:
1) Does your OC have a family of any sort? If so, are they still alive? Yes on both accounts. His parents are alive and well (the last time he checked, at least), but he hasn't had much contact with them since he left home.
2) Is your character out on his/her own? If so, why? Currently, yes, but he's looking for a traveling companion (mostly for security). His old group of comrades was split up unexpectedly, and he's still looking for some of them,.
3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events? Well, he woke up one morning to find strange symbols all over his back and arms... Oh, and he was almost eaten by some assassin vines. Does that count?
4) What was probably the best time in his/her life so far? That first night with Hestia, one of his old comrades. I'll leave that one to the imagination...

Romance:
1) Single? Yes, and has no plans to be otherwise.
2) Has your OC developed any romantic relationships? Zephyr was certainly in love with Hestia, but her unstable (and insanely jealous) younger brother made things a little difficult. He's isn't entirely sure if the feelings were mutual either.
3) Virgin? Helll no...
4) Does your character like flirting? Not really. Any flirting he does is more or less passive and non intentional.

Symbolism:
1) What animal would you associate your OC with? A hawk.
2) What/Does your OC's name mean anything? Zephyr is another name for Zephyrus, the Greek god of the west wind, believed to live in a cave on Thrace. He is the son of Eos and Astraeus, the brother of Boreas, Eurus and Notus. Rather appropriate for an air genasi. Mayen doesn't mean anything.
3) Musical Instrument? A flute, which incidentally, he plays.
4) Element? Is that a trick question?
5) Planet? WTF? Um... Uranus.

Showing the Love:
1) Do you draw your character? Just started.
2) Do you write about him/her? There will most likely be some in the future
3) Do you use him/her in any rpgs? He was made for an upcoming D&D game. He's a bard/rogue.
4) What other ways have you appreciated your OC? I have every intention of commissioning a picture of him from *Hagge when I can afford it.

RANDOMIZE!
1) Is your character wanted for anything? Petty larceny, accessory to murder, trickery, chicanery...
2) What are three weaknesses in him/her? Unpredictable mood swings, slight paranoia, and a fondness for jewelry.
3) Strengths? Good actor/liar, quick wit, and a knack for coming up with unlikely (but effective) solutions to problems.
4) Does your OC drink or smoke (ect.)? He enjoys the occasional mug of ale.
5) What's one quirk about him/her? Zephyr obsesses over the symbols on his back...

YOUR REAL NAME:
According to HowManyOfMe.com, there are 119 people in the U.S. named Katherine Logan.

YOUR GANGSTA NAME: (first 3 letters of real name plus izzle)
Hmmm... that's interesting. Almost sounds like a real name. Almost.
Sounds like a cheap knock-off of Sanka.
An actual drink! Wow!

I recently created a character set for Hiro 3.0 for DAZ|Studio/Poser. I put the whole product together and uploaded it to Renderosity for review. Now, the last time I made something for DAZ|Studio/Poser, it got rejected for a number of reasons, mainly comparable quality to other products. This has become the Arcus Oculis series here on my DeviantART account.

Now, my latest project, the character set, was based on my latest character, Phineas Drayer.

I got an email from Renderosity. I was worried my product wasn't up to standard.

Thankfully, that was not the case.

No, they were just asking me to change my preview thumbnails to something more eye-catching and to put clothes on one of the preview images because "the review team feels the character in the above listed product appears young and needs to be clothed."

Just a side note: Hiro 3.0 has Ken doll anatomy.

I was so glad this was the only issue . Here's to hoping the product is uploaded and ready for sale soon.

I'm looking for a little help with some referrals for free stuff. Now, I can already hear people saying "Those are scams!" and whatnot, but I've already earned nearly $100 completing them. Now, I'm looking for people to fill out my referrals.

I'm trying this route first because, frankly, it's the quickest way for me to reach my current network. If you don't want to help me out, then don't bother. Otherwise, look below.

GiftMonkey.com: I need 62 referral points. All you need to do is sign-up and fill out one of the offers and wait for it to go through. Depending on the point value of the offer you complete, I will get different amounts of referral points. Basically, if you complete a one point offer, I need one less referral point, whereas if you complete a three point offer I need three less. After the offer verifies that you have completed it, you can then cancel it if you want to, at no cost to you.

ZeroPricetags: I only need 15 for this one. This is a typical refer once per person thing, but otherwise it's the same deal.

If you would like to know more about what it is I'm specifically collecting the referrals for (ie. what the prizes are) send me a note. Any questions, note me or ask here.

I know I've been kind of... well, inactive lately. Things have been insanely busy this holiday break. I worked on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, plus I've been getting called into work on my days off regularly (not that I don't mind making more money). Now, I'm into the winter semester with a rather work intensive online course. Sure, it's only one class, but we're talking 2-3 hours of school work every day, and my midterm is this Saturday O_o!. Oh yeah, and my sister's birthday is coming up in eleven days and I still need to buy her a gift.

Did I mention I'm still working 20-40 hours a week? It only varies so much because I keep getting called in when I least expect it. And it's the night shift: my shortest hours are 7:15pm to 11:15pm, when we close. I usually work 3:15pm to 11:15pm. Needless to say, I'm exhausted when I get home, but half-wired from moving around and working, which usually means I may go to bed at midnight, but not neccesarrily fall asleep. Cnsequently, I typically sleep till 11am (unless my mom wakes me up by 10am).

So, assuming I get up at 10am and have an average work schedule (we'll go with the 5:15pm-11:15pm, since it's the middle shift), plus school, plus feeding myself... *head esplodes*

Very busy. I can't wait to get back to my dorm.

How's this for amusing:

I needed a blue book for a test on Thursday. I also needed a stamp. So...

I bought the blue book ($0.30) to break a $20 so I would have change to use the machine to buy a stamp ($0.39) so I could mail a check for $100 back home to pay for my car insurance.

Due to the intesive amount of school work I have this semester, I will not be able to complete any more free commissions. Many apologies to those of you who were still on the list of people I owed pictures (especially ~xValcristx, who won my contest). It is unfortunate that I just don't have the time. I guess I should have expected that with five English courses.

I will still be taking paid commissions, however.

In other news, I ship back off to college on Sunday, so all my computer stuff (scanner, printer, etc.) is getting packed up.
Borrowed this from =neptuneclear. It actually took me a really long time to get this, since most of the stuff I listen to is instrumental . So, there are quite a few songs from the same CDs, but oh well.

Try to guess the song title and artist/album. Mind you, some artist/albums may be repeated. Bolded lines have been correctly guessed.

I work on the highest floor. There's nothing in my way. But I saw my picture on the bathroom door today.

Brokenhearted. Unsatisfied. I can't help it; I can't get you off my mind.

T'was in the early evening near the presence of the moon. You told me you would meet me here, well now is not too soon.

No one must ever know what I have done, for if anyone does all my work is undone.

'Mystery after gala night,' it says, 'Mystery of soprano's flight!'

Whistles the wind, blowing my way, sweeping me back, back here to stay.

You're in exile from me because it's you that I can see.

Well I kissed the day, I was on my way through those cold gray blocks of stone.

S'not every day me friends an' I 'as gents like you just droppin' by. Before you go, you'll know just why you came here.

Give me a listen you corpses of cheer, at least those of you who still got an ear.

There's a chill in the air.

My two natures have memory in common.

Eighteen, you think you're free to be what you wanna be.

This is the moment.

Excitate vos e somno, liberi mei. Cunae non sunt.
