I had to have my sweet little Toffee euthanized today. She had lymphoma, and she wasn't doing well. I already miss her. She was so sweet. She was a piece of my heart.

I went to Turkey Point for a few days this week. The weather sucked and I got bored, so I came home.

I also went to the Toronto Zoo this week with my bro and his wife. Weather was pretty good. Not too hot, not too cold, and it didn't rain.
My favourite part was petting the sting rays.
And seeing the jelly fish was really cool. I could have watched them for hours.

And that might be the extent of my summer holidays this year. Don't have anything else planned, and I don't have any more days booked off. Oh well. If I didn't go to work, I wouldn't have money to spend on useless crap.

Remembrance Day has been much sadder for me since my Grandpa died a few years ago. He was a WWII veteran. I miss him, and am sad I never really got to say goodbye.

I would love the chance to meet some of the surviving veterans and talk with them and thank them for their sacrifice.

And this Remembrance Day, remember the Atomic Veterans, because the Canadian government does not even acknowledge them. For shame! SHAME!!

I just love this time of year and the creepy atmosphere. What better excuse to decorate the house in skulls!

Today we had a Halloween pot luck at work. Some of us dressed up. I was a haunted cat cleaner. Woo, real original. But there was lots of good eats.
My good day went for a shit real fast, though. One of the cats went to commune with the spirits at the end of the day. She was really sick and had to be put down.
It's almost ironic in a way. It's the day we celebrate the dead, and she went to join them. Maybe I'll always remember her now as the Halloween kitty.

I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween! Be nice to all the black cats out there!

Talk about madness! I had to stand in line for an hour to get my ticket. Boring! Note to self: next time buy tickets in advance.

When I got my ticket, I made a bee-line to where Gavin Blair was signing autographs. He signed three things for me. He's such a nice guy!
Gavin is one of the creators of ReBoot, in case you didn't know.
I gave him the painting of Megabyte I did [link] , and he said, "Oh, look at that!" I hope he liked it.

Then I wandered around the dealer's floor for about an hour or more. I saw lots of cool stuff, and lots of people in costume. There were three costume categories, imo: awesome, crappy, and should not be worn in public.
I saw lots of Star Wars costumes; jedi, aliens, and imperial officers. There was one guy with a kick ass storm trooper costume. I took a picture of Darth Vader, but it turned out real crappy.

I bought a bunch of stuff, including the Art of ReBoot book, a Batman necklace, a big plush pikachu, and a cute little Davy Jones figure.

So I went to see Order of the Phoenix on Sunday with my friend. It wasn't bad, but I didn't find it as good as some of the other movies. It seemed slow in places. It also seemed to jump around a lot, and some of the editing could have been done better. Like the scene where the giant gives Hermoine the bicycle bell, and then they don't show her giving it back to him, he just suddenly has it again. Either that or the picture was skipping.
And another thing: How could the others ride the thestrals if they couldn't see them?? That just bugs me a wee bit.

All in all, I guess it was a pretty good movie. I loved Umbridge's office with the meowing kitty plates!

His name is Patrick, and he weighed 8lbs and 15 ounces. He looks a lot smaller than that too me, but his mother doesn't think so.

I don't think my niece is quite sure to make of her new baby brother yet. She was just getting used to running the house hold. She'll be two in June.

Yesterday I had a really down day. I was the last one to finish my work at my job, and everyone else left without even offering any help, and I just felt so alone and forgotten. I ended up sobbing through the last half hour I was there.

Today was a little better. Then they played that horrible song called the Cat Carol on the radio. It makes me cry. It's about a cat that gives her life to keep a little mouse warm on a really cold Christmas eve. It's just way too sad for me.

But all the employees went out to lunch today after work, so that was nice. I'm feeling a little better now. Still can hardly believe Christmas is on Monday, but I'm sure it will be fun. Hopefully.

In other crappy news, I had to get a tooth filled on Monday, and I have to go back in two weeks to have another tooth filled.
Damn chocolate! I love it so, but it rots my teeth.

Crap in a hat! Either there was a power surge or the little fan inside my hardrive stopped working and things got a little hot and melty, 'cause my computer is totally dead.
The computer guy can't get anything on it to work, and he's not sure if he can salvage the stuff on the hardrive.
So now I have to get a whole new computer. I'm at the library right now, using their computer.
A new computer should only cost around $500 to $600, which isn't terrible.

Anyway, I won't be around until I get my new computer.

I took myself shopping yesterday, 'cause I was feeling bored and restless. I saw lots of neat stuff, but didn't buy a whole lot. I picked up the PotC Dead Man's Chest soundtrack. recommended it as good listening. And it is!
I find The Kraken track a bit creepy, but it's neat. And the Davy Jones one starts out kind of sad, but then it comes out more powerfull after.

I saw some neat little mega blocks DMC toys at Toys R Us. I was debating on buying a wee Davy Jones that came in a compass case with a little Flying Dutchman, but I left it there. Maybe another day.

As for ponies, I finally found Rarity, the unicorn pony. I've been looking for her for a while. Of course, I had to get her in Zellers 'cause TRU doesn't even have her in stock yet.

Anyway, that's been my fun weekend so far. I might go to Ribfest today if I can find anyone to go with me. It's no fun pigging out by yourself.
