I'd had a pretty rough day Friday, so like, I'm super-grateful that I had the chance to fully enjoy myself these past 2 days.

It was

's birthday party this Saturday! Epic stuff. We went to Laser Quest, then slept over at her house. I did really well for my first time playing LQ. I came in 9th

I bet I would've done better but there was literally a group of kids stalking me O_O; My nickname was Super Baka, based off a comic/story idea I have with

, which in turn is based off Cirno from Touhou Project. I laughed so hard when I saw I came in 9th...

So when we got back we watched Jo-chan's brother play Left 4 Dead. F*cking epic game, yo. In a post-apocalyptic world, you get to play as 1 of 4 characters immune to a wierd infection that previously destroyed the world. The other 3 characters follow you to a helicopter sent by other survivors. I'm not too into shooting games, but this one was just amazing. Louis is win. GRABBIN' PILLS! And the Witches are so freaking scary, they're awesome.

_{(This morning her brother was playing it again and he somehow startled the Witch in the area, but we had no clue where it was, then he turned the character around and she jumped him. Bloody win right there. We all screamed, except Jo's brother. O_O)}

After that, we watched Coraline, which was actually really cool!

After Coraline, we played Pokemon Battle Revolution. Moar awesomeness. After beating the first 2 Collosseums on the new file we all started together, we relocated downstairs, where we stayed until falling asleep.

But yeah! This was an epic weekend and I'm glad I got to relax with my friends. I'm sad it's over D:

In other news, Higurashi's FINAL episode is aired on August 25th, 2009! It really sucks that my favorite anime is coming to an end... Mii~ I'm gonna miss it! T_T Well, there's always the manga, and maybe I'll someday be able to try the games.

On a happier note, the creators of Higurashi are coming out with a new anime called "Umineko no Naku Koro ni". It better be good! I'm not sure when or if it's out, but I'm planning to watch it

And I seriously need to get into Harvest Moon again XD I accidentally deleted my superfile on DS Cute, and now I have to start over T_T

You may be asking "Why were you all there in the middle of the school day? Didn't you have stuff to do at school?" Gladly, I'll tell you the answer.

The schools were gathered in what has become a world record breaking "Bear Hug". Every person linked their arms around the person next to them's hips and "hugged" the Canal for more than 20 seconds. Was it a minute? I'm still not sure. What I do know is that we DID break the world record, which belonged to New Mexico, with a total of 6, 553 people hugging for more than 10 seconds (We had over 10, 000 people there, including the general public).

While breaking the World Record is an amazing feat, what I think is truly important is that we raised around $250, 000 to $300, 000 dollars to support cancer research. While I myself haven't seen the illness up close, I know many people whose family or friends have succumbed to it. Those people who died, and those who are sick today were in my mind when I was hugging.

I think that the Bear Hug was a great idea. Led by St. Matthew's, we both broke a world record, and more than likely, we'll be saving quite a few lives.

The first Bear Hug record ever set was by St Matt's itself. I'm not sure how many people there were, but I know it was somewhere in the 5,000's, on April 23, 2004.

On a (somewhat) happier note, I'm obsessed with Kamichama Karin now. It's just so cute! My favorite characters are Kazune, Micchi and Mr Glasses Man. My favorite song from the anime is Kuuchuu Meiro. I'm kind of worried, though. What if the evil 4Kids Entertainment gets their greasy, slimy anime destroying hands all over KK? Or another horrible translating company? You saw what they did to my beloved Tokyo Mew Mew, and Sonic X! Personally, I wouldn't mind if Pioneer or Viz Media got it. ....Ugh, the idea of my precious Kazune-kun becoming "Mark" or "Anthony" is too much to bear right now...

Anyways, my friend Stephanie and I plan to start a manga. First part of volume 1 expected by Christmastime. We have...

- A title, "Soul Key"
- The 4 main characters: Kate, Zo, Ria and Ash
- Their super forms: Katelyna, Zokura, Riaku and Ashurii
- A plot (still fine-tuning)
- And a villain: Kitura

AND Mme Coutellier, our homeroom teacher has given Steph and I a hint that some of the classes' plays (Ours included) MIGHT go be performed at some elementary schools. Either that or we'll make a class play.
