After using vista for about 5 months I am totally fed up with it!! 15 Blue screen of deaths, hardware that doesn't work on vista, and sluggish performace even on a dual core CPU with 2GB of ram makes me very irritated. Vista's pretty interface and snazzy graphics just doesn't make up for the fact that the GUI isn't very intuitive. It took me several weeks to try to get it networked between XP and vista... and to get all my favorite programs working that I enjoyed on XP. To make things worse, programs that were made for vista keeps on crashing on me... WTF? Then I tried to make the tablet work on vista... No dice... the OS doesn't even recognize that there is something plugged into the USB port, and there are no working drivers for the tablet in Vista

After a little research I learned that Ubuntu and Kubuntu are very popular distributions of linux, and it took little time to notice why it's so popular. The GUI is very user friendly and most things take little time to do. XP and Linux was able to network out of the box w/o any configuration changes. The tablet also works on linux after downloading a driver for it. To top it off, my favorite computer game, Guildwars works on linux under a windows emulator. Aside from that Ubuntu already has OpenOffice installed and installing additional software is simple. After about a month of using Ubuntu I have yet to have the OS crash on me. Vista Bluescreened three times on the first moth. heh

Ubuntu is free and Vista is well... not free
Ubuntu is stable and Vista is not
Ubuntu can read NTFS file format while VISTA cannot read ext3 file format
list goes on and on but anyway I think I really like Ubuntu-Linux

People who still watch this page probably have noticed that I have stopped drawing for a while. One of the primary reasons for that is I have been very busy with my masters thesis research in cancer biology. My research has given me little to no free time over the past year, which we all know drawing and art takes a lot of time to do it right. I will return to drawing, hopefully soon.
