Entered the Totally Wild Aspinal photo competition again, and this time they're ACTUALLY in the photogallery selection

I HAVE PHOTOS! Albeit not very many, and they're only of the swans, gulls and greebes on the Thames, but still, IT'S SOMETHING NEW. Insanely stoked about the greebes though, they're so cute

Uno: Got my BTEC results on thursday. DISTINCTION. Nice.
Dos: Sent results off to Kingston. Got a couple of weeks to wait for the confirmation letter.
Tres: Eyed up a Canon 50D & 50mm lens with trimmings for under a grand. I love Jessops.
Cuatro: It has been confirmed a trip to the zoo (Howletts) with mummy & daddy is indeed iminent *SCORE!*
Cinco: Amalgamated beach-times family birthday with plenty of ice cream is also on the cards.
Seis: Trip to Wales to see the rellies and a nice change of photographic scene.
Siete: I smell toast
Ocho: I can remember how to count to eight in Spanish!

Its just a case of being patient and waiting perhaps ALL summer for my course results to come out before I can go buy anything for uni.

As of this morning my computer is dead. Very. Much. Dead. I do have some new photos from last weekend to sort out and put up, but it wont be happening until I get my lovely shiny new MacBookPro... which will be god knows when, knowing my luck. I assure you, however, I have not fallen off the face of dA, I'm just awaiting new equipment to work with (:
I'll also *fingers crossed* be getting a 50D too and a few new bits of kit for that and my 350, so again, more new things coming your way soon!

Oh, and a few new illustrations to be finished and started asap too (: Finally getting to grips with Illustrator and I was enjoying it up until the point my PC decided to disown me. UGH.

I'm off to Kingston next year. Nice.
Means a new camera, new equipment, new drawing tablet and a MacBookPRO. Sweet.
And an endless supply of plastic cutlery and paper plates. Smashing.

Had my camera cleaned too, now its one shiny happy baby
Honest promise, new photos coming soon. I have ideas, inspiration and a clean sensor now.

That and leave a bit of bloody feedback.
It's tedious to delete all the fave notifications when no one leaves a comment, or anything remotely constructive.
I'm sick of hearing just 'Nice' and 'Lovely'
As much as I appreciate the faves, people could at least put a bit of effort into explaining why they like it.


Guess no one cares about constructive critique.
That and they're lazy.

Was to drag my carcass out into the fresh air and get some photos done.
Not feeling like such a miserable git any more, and yes, I will still be pissing you all off with continual submissions in the not too distant future!


Not going to Paris though, thank god! Doing my project on London instead. Means I can finally get back up to the Barbican centre and photograph the buildings round there, hit the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year exhibition, see if I can afford to go see the Rothko exhib at the Tate Modern, and HOPEFULLY catch the tail end of the January sales at Forbidden Planet

Anyone know of any other exhibits going on and places I could go? I've covered London SO many times, but there's always something new to discover

Yeah, had a trip to London today (which I deemed suitable for a Leage Of Gentlemen quotation or two) with uni to have a gander at the Alan Alrdidge exhibition at the Design Museum, which I was pleasantly surprised by Then proceeded to a pub with a few friends and took pictures along the way, so expect some nice shiny building photos to pop up over the next few days!


Also, I walked over 3.1 miles today from the Design Museum, along the Thames, past London Bridge, Waterloo & Charing Cross stations, up to Forbidden Planet and back to Charing Cross... then another 1.75 miles back from the station to my house.
Shame I had that Burger King on the train, probably spoilt all that calorie burning

After some minimal thinking and still not understanding Flickr, I've decided to take *InsaneGelfling's advice and delete some old, not-so-good, and unpopular images from my gallery (or at least shuffle them into my scraps section so they're still viewable)

I need suggestions on what images to keep in my main gallery. I think everything in the featured section will stay, but if you could leave me some suggestions on your faves from the rest of my pics, that'd really help me out!

University starts on Monday.
Project (that I had 4 months to do and neglected until about a week ago) is due in on Wednesday.
On top of that, I'll have no real time off until Christmas, Easter and next summer.
AND I need to find a weekend job.

All of which probably wont leave me much time for coming on here any more... or doing a lot of other things either


Still- trying to be more discerning with my submissions up until the point I can no longer find time for dA and/or get bored of it.
