It is absolutely incredible! The tracks look beautiful, the cars look beautiful, they handle incredibly well (Well, if you upgrade and tune them right, but for those who aren't quite into upgrading, there's a "Quick Upgrade" feature that lets you optimise your car for a certain class), the decal editor is much improved from Forza 2 (I'll be submitting a photo of my first decal to my Scraps shortly, so keep an eye out there), and overall it's just a brilliant, beautiful game.

So if you're a fan of racing simulation games and own a 360, Forza 3 is definitely the game for you. If you're not such a big fan, give it a try anyway, you might get hooked. (Gamespot puts it best: "Do you like cars? Forza Motorsport 3 is the game for you. In fact, provided you don't hate cars, Forza Motorsport 3 is the game for you.")

So far, it's awesome. Difficult, but awesome. I had to tone down the difficulty from Heroic to Normal (but then that's because I generally suck at FPS games and have to play on Normal difficulty.) Also had a couple of firefights, they were absolutely awesome (Though the last one I had with kind of dragged on a little. I think it might've been the difficulty setting or something, Easy is actually too easy for me, so we kept on surviving and surviving and we racked up almost 2 hours' survival time. By that point I had to actually try to get killed to get killed and call it Game Over. XD

Oh yeah, my new favourite character? Buck. BAM, said the lady! (hence the BSTL in the journal title there. XD)

In other news, the Forza 3 demo's out. Absolutely beautiful stuff. @____@ I look forward to playing the full game on October.

I'm currently dealing with the influx of friend requests, party invites and mixed responses of either "Yeah man that is so true" or "add me im a fan" or "I PLAY TO WIN MOFO". Um... I'm nineteen

What is your species/race/ethnicity?
I'm a Juna. Valdar subculture, I came from the forests.

Gender?
Despite what I might look like at first glance, I am in fact male. So please, stop hitting on me, it makes me incredibly nervous. N-not that I get unnerved easily... Honest!

Your height and weight?
About 5 feet in height, maybe a little more. Yes, I'm short, and yes, I get nervous around tall people. L-like you, whoever you are that's asking me all these questions.

Eyes?
M-my eyes? They're a light grey colour.

Hair/Fur?
Fur. Despite the Valdar being known for their reddish fur, my fur's pigments aren't quite up to scratch, so I look kind of a sandy brown colour.

Skin?
Covered by fur. Good thing too, I'd probably freeze to death otherwise.

Any other remarkable features?
Well, there's the sandy brown fur and the short height and the whole "folks hitting me because they thought I was a girl" thing. Not much else apart from that.

Describe your personality in as few words as possible.
Timid, quiet, but friendly when approached right.

What are your best and worst character traits?
I love exploration. Always have done. So naturally, I figured becoming a trader or a travelling merchant or somesuch would be neat, since I'd be able to explore the land and make a living. I'm still getting the hang of the buying and selling thing, but I'm getting there.

Worst character trait? Okay, I won't lie, I'm a coward. Wherever there is danger I'll run away as long as I'm still capable of running. Which can be kind of hard since I'm usually carrying a lot of stuff which weighs me down. That, and I never really look where I step. That's gotten me into trouble a few times before when making journeys through Darkmoss, particularly if I have to take a detour through the marshes.

Do you have any bad habits?
Like I said, running away from combat situations is probably a bad habit of mine.

Is there anything about you that would be considered 'unusual' or 'unique?'
Not much other than my fur being sandy brown instead of reddish brown.

Do you have a romantic interest?
Sorry, not really interested in that kind of thing.

If you are married, you have any children?
Nope.

Do you have any siblings?
To be honest, I don't really know. Shameful, isn't it?

Who would you consider your best friend?
Well, I'm still starting out in the travelling merchant business, but hopefully I'll make a few friends before I'm through.

Do you hate and/or particularly dislike anyone?
Not really. Though folks who know I'm working the travelling merchant business have warned me to keep an eye out for any unsavoury individuals who might want to steal what I'm carrying.

What is your occupation?
Travelling merchant, or a "trader" for short. Still starting out in the business but hopefully I'll get the hang of some trade routes and whatnot. Who knows, maybe a more experienced trader or two might give me a couple pointers on my travel.

Share a bit of your history with us.
Well, I grew up in one of the smaller Juna towns round about Ellesmere forest. Always had a thing for exploring, though. So when I grew old enough, I asked my parents if they'd allow me to set out and explore the land and make something of myself. They were kind of reluctant, but they eventually agreed. I still head back there sometimes to chat with them, let them know I'm doing okay, that sort of stuff.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
I love a good book. Particularly books about the land and plant life and generally any informative book. I learned about most of the Realms through books, but experiencing them in reality is so much more beautiful. If a little exhausting...

What kind of clothing do you like to wear?
I like wearing light, loose clothes that won't restrict me when I'm travelling. Usually I wear a tunic and a Juna kilt, and a nice sturdy pair of sandals to protect my feet from the harsher terrain.

What is your favorite color?
I have to say, I'm quite a fan of dark green. And brown or other earthy colours.

What is your favorite food?
Definitely Yaxon steak.

Chaz: Well, I've been thinking of starting up a podcast of some sort on Pokémorph Island, but I've never really gotten round to that.

Sellers: It's me, Bupkis the Quilava morph! I was in jail for quite some time, and I, uh, I evolved from compound stress. So now I'm a Typhlosion Morph with a new identity, and if you tell Rocket any of this your butt is toast.

You know those fraudsters whose emails you see all the time in your spam folder? (The typical "We need you to hold a large amount of money, and we'll give you a percentage of it worth millions if you do this. Oh, by the way, we're gonna need you to pay for this and this and this and this and this..." type emails.) Yeah, they piss me off too.

So, going back somewhat to my short-lived days at 419eater.com, I hopped back onto my scambaiting account, and sent an email back to one of the many scams I found in my hotmail. I decided, instead of doing a standard scambait and stringing the guy along, that I'd just give him a little bit of a shock.

So I informed him about a new way of making money that's fast and LEGAL! It's called Payments Awarded In November (or P.A.I.N. for short.) Oh yeah, I totally linked him to the Pain collection on Encyclopedia Dramatica.

Yep.

I'm such a bastard

(P.S.: For those who don't know, the Pain Collection is a page on Encyclopedia Dramatica full of pictures of incredibly disgusting injuries and diseases and whatnot. I strongly implore you NOT TO GO THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY/STOMACH. Seriously. It includes Goatse, and that's not the worst of the images there. o___o)

In other news, Rifftrax. Rifftrax are awesome. I have 6 Rifftrax now, 4 Rifftrax Shorts, and 2 Rifftrax for full movies (Dark Knight and Pirates of the Carribean). What are Rifftrax? Well if you remember Mystery Science Theater 3000, Rifftrax are made by the creators of that. Basically these are incredibly awesome and funny commentaries in the form of MP3s that can be downloaded and played in synch with a movie, with the help of guides on the MP3 itself (Including a starting point for playing the movie in tandem with the MP3, and the "Disembaudio" guide, which says a line of dialogue spoken at given points to help you make sure you're in synch. Rifftrax Shorts are basically full videos of things like PSAs and safety videos, with the commentary included.

And finally the Blah. Because no matter what I'm doing to cheer myself up, it's still July, it's still too damn hot at times, and it's still approaching the 26th. D:

Basically, there were some paramedics at the Eastgate shopping Centre, giving demonstrations and showing people how to properly perform CPR in the best way possible: Using practice dummies and showing people how to do it, then having them do it themselves. Needless to say I gave it a shot. X3 and now I know the basics, and came away today with some awesome knowledge. |3

Apart from that though, I got a slightly early birthday present from my parents: £140 in money to spend, because they claim they don't know what I like. So, I was able to buy my own presents today: Guitar Hero World Tour (which is awesome), Mirror's Edge (which I'm playing just now) and Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box (sort of the most up-to-date version of Burnout Paradise, complete with two kinds of Cycle: Day/Night cycles and motorcycles. )

Tomorrow's the big 19th for me, and I'm looking forward to it. X3

It was so well recieved that it got a series of two games added on: Penumbra Overture ([link]) and Penumbra: Black Plague ([link]) (There's also an expansion for Black Plague that offers closure to the series, called Penumbra: Requiem ([link]). I haven't played this one yet though. :3)

The series is awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. Unlike most horror games, these ones focus a lot more on fleeing and hiding from, and outsmarting, enemies, rather than just killing them. Overture gives you a limited set of melee weapons, which are realistically clumsy to handle, and are better for breaking obstacles than breaking an enemy's skull. Black Plague doesn't even give you weapons, though you can pick up and throw objects in an attempt to stun them (though all it's done for me so far is enrage them into attacking.)

I'll warn that it's not for the faint of heart. There's been a few moments that have seriously caught me off guard.

These races are part of our custom setting by the way. If I find a way to give you the document files for the setting, i'll do that. ^^)

First things first, I got George Orwell's 1984. And from what I've read so far, it's a pretty doubleplusgood book ^^ [/lamenewspeakreference]

I also picked up Jin-Roh, which is an excellent anime film. (Both 1984 and Jin-Roh were purchased because of 's awesome RP setting, City Of Unity: [link] ^^

I also got a couple games.

First up I got Okami for the Wii <3 It's definitely a pretty looking game, and of course it has wolves so why wouldn't it be awesome? XD Still mastering the Celestial Brush, but I'll get the hang of it.

Second, I got a free game () Warzone 2100 (From the Warzone 2100 Resurrection project) which is one awesome strategy game (Thanks to Megapig at ClanLAN for getting me hooked on that). Basically you can design your own units from parts you research (So way late into a game, you could have, for example, a Heavy Body, with VTOL propulsion and 2 Hyper Velocity Cannons attached. Overkill ) Naturally, when I was playing alongside a couple of other folks, we started joking about some of the sillier combos. A "bug" body (Basically a light body), with regular wheels... oh, and a Heavy Cannon. I figured that it got its propulsion by tipping itself over then firing its cannon to send itself flying across a map.

And I'm rambling now XD so I'll stop before I get way too ahead of myself.

One minor happening in game left me feeling very happy:

Chaz: So... let's try this ZiT service I heard of, see if I can get the names of some good songs.

Phone: Hey, this is Lazlow for ZiT!
Chaz: YES! I knew he was bound to be in there somewhere.


^^ Yeah, Lazlow's probably one of my most favourite recurring characters in the GTA games. Oftentimes playing straight guy in a world gone corrupt and crazy. XD

In other news I got a new DVD today ^^ The Detectives Season 1. I picked it up because, well, it's Jasper Carrott. Jasper Carrott is awesome XD so I'm going to go ahead and watch that now.

My two major problems just now are:

1) What card should I buy? My TV works off of scart, as does my 360, and my PC's graphics card has DVI output, although I already have a DVI-to-VGA adapter which solves that problem.

2) How exactly do I connect my 360 to the video capture device, so that I can start recording?

Nevertheless, when we got to Inverness we decided to stop by and ask if there were any updates. Lo and behold, a few minutes after we left I got (well, missed and called back) a call from the guys saying they had 3 standing places left So we went, and it was cool ^^ Even better, we got seats a few minutes into the show, as some of the folks hadn't showed up. It was a very enjoyable session, I asked Richard a question (Whether he believed that religious bigots, Westboro Baptist Church was my (predictable) example, are really driven by their faith, or if they're just abusing folks and using God as an excuse. He said he wasn't sure, but that he really hoped Phelps wasn't one of God's.

Of course there were some hecklers outside the place, trying to preach their usual stuff. Easily ignored though ^^

So today I also picked up Army Of Two

Playing through the campaign with an AI partner just now, they're actually fairly intelligent ^^ if I'm hurt and on the brink of death (which I usually am XD) my buddy will actually go ahead and drag me somewhere safe then heal me. I'm playing Salem, the bot is Rios. Isn't it great to have a choice between the two characters in a co-op game for once?

Being the stealth gaming dirtbag that I am, I let Rios be the damage-soaking thickie while I make my move and avoid the enemy. Overkill is awesome. The guy with all the aggro, after a while of holding said aggro, gets unlimited ammo and slow-mo kickass-ness for 15 seconds, while the guy with no aggro (that's me ) is completely invisible to enemies and moves faster than the enemy, again for 15 seconds. The only disadvantage the stealth overkill player has is that he's only able to make melee attacks, but they're still awesome.

Finally, I have a new stamp following April Fools' Day on dA ^^
