For my birthday I got the most amazing camera! I'm absolutely in love with it. It's the Canon PowerShot SD600
I've been researching this camera for a long time now and I'm really happy with it. I've been taking snapshots the whole weekend and will be posting a few pics soon.

This is my second featured artists journal (to see the first, click the link far below...). I apologize for the short descriptions and limited number of features. I've been pretty busy lately -_-

Her photos have the perfect amount of fuzziness and light to make each one uniquely beautiful. I adore the colors in her gallery, also, which consist of mostly blueish-greys and neutral tones. Well most pictures besides this one above

2. > pixeleen

Pixeleen has a great sense of movement and shape, I can tell. I've always been a sucker for sketchiness and cartooniness, and she's no exception.

3. > nitsch

Nitsch's photography is amazingly colorful. His vibrant gallery is filled with cute, tiny animals and strong, large ones alike.

4. > jwatkins

If you're into colorfuly-wacky art, take a look at jwatkin's gallery. She's got a great eye for catching an abstract outlook on real-life objects and themes.

Almost time for New Years Cleanup for me! I'll be sifting through my gallery, emptying scraps and such.

I'll also be posting many more pictures of my newly created character, Zephyr the bear I'm considering re-naming him Ryder, though. That name is nice too...
He will take the place of my old fursona, Feta the dingo, cause she really doesn't represent anything about me. I'm a much bigger bear fan than a dingo fan, anyways, even though dingoes are adorable Maybe it's just cause I got really close to a bear cub in the wild x3.

UPDATE
I've had this idea going in my head for a while, and I think I'll pursue it now, since I'm on break. I'd like to sketch a specific theme every day, once a day, for a month. Example topics could be woodland forest animals, desert animals, arctic animals, or even certain species--Bears, lions, hounds, etc. Tell me what you think! I've put my favorites so far up in my recent poll.

I've decided that there are alot of un-featured artists that need some featuring this season, so I've chosen six who I believe deserve the featuring most.
Here they are, in no specific order:

1. > bubblywums

Many people don't realize how hard it is to catch a picture of a beluga that represents it in a graceful way. She's one of the only beluga photographers I know, and she's good at it too. Check out her aquatic gallery that features orcas, belugas, dolphins, and more.

2. > neverfly

This artist who wields only 6,000+ pageviews is, to me, among the most talented here on deviantart. Her innovative artwork really speaks for itself. Beautiful, graceful sketches + natural colors = an amazing gallery.

3. > tidesend

The word 'photography' can't even describe tidesend's work. The subjects of her photos are truly gorgeous; not to mention that the subject of more than 10 of her photos is an adorable husky/German shepherd/wolf mix. The perspective of her art is truly worth a look-see.

4. > wetnosebaby

If you're a sucker for a good thick pencil line over a skritchy sketch like me, Lindsay Campbell's gallery is definetly worth stalking. Her art has been featured in her own set of ShuuShuu artist series buttons, which is a huge feat. If you're in to cute puppies in a unique perspective, this is a gallery for you to see.

5. > zaelithe

Izzy's art is a real picker-upper if you're feeling down in the dumps. Her cartoony art is a truly refreshing step away from the anime style seen commonly here on dA. Color and cute factor is what she's all about.

6. > swiftwhippet

This aspiring animator definetly has the right tools from the looks of it. Swift easily differentiates herself from the pack by drawing sighthounds, gorgeous breeds that are uncommonly known among many. Take a look at her animations and short films and you'll truly be astounded by her talent.
