I've decided to post this journal, cuz I've been doing some changes on my DA account. I used to have my deviations in their correspondent folders and ALSO on the featured section. It was a complete mess, so now you can find them in their folders only. I think it's gonna be better now.

I have a great number of photos that I should start uploading. The problem is that there are so many, that I don't know where to start from. I do have all of them sorted out in folders, but anyway, it seems I can't concentrate and sit down for a couple of hours just to pick my fave ones, come up with a cool title, yadda, yadda, yadda.

On the other hand, I also have many ideas for future photos specifically meant for DA. I wanna work on the “OMG, Jack Sparrow’s in my room” [link] series.

As this journal is kinda random, AND I don’t have a subscription to submit a Poll I’ll ask something here. First of all I wanna thank you for your kind support. I draw because I love everything that is related to Arts, but I must admit that it’s nice when you receive comments and see that people like what you do. Of all my OCs, Nat is my fave. So, what I’d like to know is your opinion. Why do you like her? It’s because she’s an OC that was inserted in my PotC sketches? You like her personality? Which pairing do you like the most and why: Barbossa and Nat or Jack and Nat? Anything you’d like to comment would be more than welcome. I’ve just named a couple of things.

Well, my apologies for this random journal. I’ve posted better stuff lol.

So, on Sunday I bought a new computer. I was really sad because I had copied data to my external HD but I had left another 30 Gbs on that bloody disc that passed away to copy later. Stupid, stupid, stupid me! ARRR

Anyway, let's focus on the good news and let's stop ranting lol.
After undergoing an awful period of drawer's block I've finally started sketching non-stop. Actually, right now, I'm just giving a break to my muses who have been inspiring me these days in order to write this journal.
Well, let's say that after sketching and working on some bellydancer outfits for random OCs I thought it would be cool to design a specific outfit for Nat, not just any costume. I've been doing some research on gothic, Celtic, tribal bellydancing and I've gotten tons of ideas to start combining.
I've also added some belts, swords, and other things I have at home for Nat's outfit. It was kind of easy to draw thiese new deviations cuz I used some of my own photos as reference. In my old sketch "Midnight Fantasies", I used another of my photos but Nat looks like any ordinary bellydancer. I wanted to "upgrade" her style so as to make her look more like a warrior, a tought bellydancer.

I'm also working on a new logo for Piratess Nat...I've brainstormed a couple of designs so now I have to look for a cool font and other things that I wanna add to her logo. I have many things in mind and I don't know where to start. I'm not planning on uploading the sketches pretty soon cuz I'm still working on some details, jewelry, coins, hip-scarf, hat, weapons.

As for the 30 features, I haven't received many comments so -by the end of the month I guess- I'm gonna post a journal with the DArtists who have left a comment (no matter if they're 2, 5 or 10) lol.

OK, I think that's all. Back to work, I might draw something else now as I think any Pirate Lord would love to have his own personal bellydancer lol.

Ok bloody pirates and cute lasses, I'm off to work now.
Hope to update this journal and my gallery pretty soon.

Who’s this lucky girl? you may ask. Well, it’s me. lol
I want to post this journal because sometimes I feel like ranting on anything… we all do. Life’s not easy, that’s what I think, but you always have to do your best.

Well, today is a day that has made me feel happy. I’m not gonna get into details cuz it’s not something that has to do with me directly, but today I’ve gotten good news.
That is great, but that wasn’t what made me sit down and post this journal. It’s something else that is also really important to me: Friendship
I don’t have tons of friends, but the ones I have... are worth a million. Seriously, I mean it.
I have 3 Internet friends (one from DA –you know I’m talking about you *points at him* lol - and 2 that I met a couple of years ago on a yahoogroup). Today, I chatted with one of them for 5 minutes. He was very busy but he read one of my mails so he signed on just to say Hi. Of course, as I’m not explaining everything in detail, you may not get the whole picture or you may think that chatting with a friend is not big deal lol, but I felt I had to write something about it. He's always there for me, when I need him. That's priceless.

Well, don’t know what else I can say. I'm going over this journal and I have the feeling I’m gonna post random thoughts. Sorry if you are bored after reading this. I just wanna say that I’m really happy cuz I have 3 awesome friends I love with all my . They know they can count on me.

Hope you all have the chance to have AWESOME friends as I do. They are my 3 angels on Earth.

Well, I'm not a person who posts journals every day, so I thought I should post more frequently.

What can I say? Well, maybe today's not the best day to start with this new more-frequently-journal-posting thingy lol. I went to bed @ 3.30 am. AHHHH. I know, it's not something soooo weird, but I usually go to bed earlier (let's say 1 - 1.30). CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW! this is your fault ...chatting so late at night LOL But we had fun, huh?

Anyway, today I'm a complete zombie, but it's worth it

Today I'm really happy!!! wanna know why? ok, take a sit and let me tell ye... Once upon a time, in a farewell site... nah, seriously LOL

After lunch I sit at my desk and to my surprise I get a mail and the subject reads: SmyrnaSketcher has bought you a deviantART Subscription!

What??? yesssssss, what you've just read. I've just gotten a 3-month subscription! Now I can post polls, add my SmyrnaSketcher Fan Stamp WOOHOO. I'm her fan yup, yup

Why am I posting this journal today... now... at 11.30? Because I joined DA just a couple of months ago and I can say that I'm so glad I decided to open an account here. For many reasons, first of all, to share my pics, drawings and paintings with people who love art and can teach me and help me to improve, and secondly, because I had the opportunity to meet cool people. So how can I show my appreciation for those people who welcomed me here, at DA, by introducing them to my watchers in case some of you have never come across their accounts. Actually this kind of "ad" is not my idea. I took it from 's journal. She mentioned me on one of her posts and I thought it would be cool.

So, today's DA artist is . Not only have I met a very talented artist, but also a great person. He taught me how to work with lineart in Photoshop to paint my Piratess Nat - PotC OC [link] for instance. We spent an afternoon, on an virtual class thru MSN. So, I invite you to have a look at his gallery, but mostly, to have the chance to meet a very nice person.

Still in the process of revamping my DA account and at the same time uploading some old and new stuff.

This time of the year is sort of complicated and I feel a bit tired, but with lots of ideas in my mind . I thought I wouldn't be updating my journal for the time being, but I felt I had to post something today for two major reasons.

First of all, I wanna thank SmyrnaSketcher . Today I got up early in the morning (6.30), and I was completely but wanted to check my DA messages and I read her lovely journal (Aye, I check my DA account THAT early). I was with one eye open (of course, I needed it for reading), my other eye was still sleeping "zzz", one hand over the mouse, and the other holding a hot cup of cappuccino. And I was LMAO. Ok, yeah, I'm an official SmyrnaSketcher's Journal Fan. So I was very happy when I saw my DA name on it. Thanks bunches mate!!!!!
And you, bloody pirates and wenches LOL go check her account, savvy? *unsheathes sword and raises an eyebrow*

Another reason why I'm posting today is to thank you for your kind words my dear . You always post lovely comments whenever I submit a pic, drawing, etc... I love the things I paint or draw, but it's awesome when I see that other people like what I do. It encourages me to go on. And speaking of comments, I'd like to particularly thank you for your "beautiful" comments on my "OMG Jack Sparrow is in my room" deviation [link] From the bottom of my heart, really, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

As I've already mentioned, I have so many things in mind that I will need more than one life to accomplish them all LOL. But I'll do my best to try to do as much as I can in this life hahaha.
