Hey guys I'm starting up a little project for this month and I need your help!

OK I've gotten enough feedback about it and I'm going to go through with obtaining a TF2 Server.

It would be most sensible if it's purchased outright, so I'm going to buy the full year server.

The price for that comes to $91.29
I will start the server off with these basics:
-Private Server
-18 person limit

Later on I'll hope to add custom maps and such on~

Since I know a handful of people said they're willing to help me with this, I'll be opening up my paypal for donations towards it.

_{_{I've been thinking about getting one for a while and due to certain events the other day~ Others have suggested I get one as well.

So I've been prodding around looking at prices and such and I found one.

Depending on how many people are willing to help me out on this, I can get a private server for 18 people. (perhaps more, if I get a good enough response back on this)

It will be about 10 to 14 bucks per month, which isn't to shabby.

But I wanted to see what others thought of this plan?

Should I get a server?

and if Yes, if you plan on playing on it regularly, would you mind donating about 2 bucks per month for it? _{_{(I don't think that's too much, lol)}}

We depart and I wave goodbye to them as I stroll away into the warm summer dark to find my car, I locate it quite easily, drive down Ocean Ave with my music blasting and the windows rolled down as I stick my arm into the breeze.

Mind you this is only a 20 minute drive, but the second I get home I feel like I was hit by a baseball bat.

Our pool has been broken all summer, My mom and I might have to get into a tussle with our neighbors, My right hand has been numb for two weeks now (I know I know, I should see a doctor, I'll do that sometime), The weather has been glum, Mostly all of my friends are leaving this month for college, and people have actually started to get me a tad ticked off.

Hello trainers!

dAVictoryRoad is going to be hosting a tournament to find the newest set of Gym Leaders and Trainers.

We are currently looking for qualified people for the group.
The tournament will consist of four categories that you will be judged on.

1. Game play Â This is where the contestant will show their current skills with a select judge.

2. ImprovementÂ This is to see how much more you can improve. For example either having a positive outlook or showing that youÂre trying your hardest. You know. Effort.

3. Attitude ÂWe frown on bad behavior, spam, rude comments, etc. We think you know how to behave towards others and we hope that you do so too. _{(and not just for the tryout periodÂ we mean overall)}

4. Attendance Â Having a member that never shows their face is not wanted. Not showing up every so often is not recommended.

Standard dAVictoryRoad rules apply. _{_{_{(they're somewhere below this.)}}}

Rules for Gym Positions:

-The Gym Team MUST consist of at least 4 of the Leader's specified type.
_{(For example, a Water team can be occupied by a Gyarados, Empoleon, Blastoise, and Vaporeon; along with these, you can have 2 more Pokemon of any type, your choice!)}

-The Gym Team is not required to have been EV/IV trained, but it is highly recommend it to get the edge on your opponents.

-More than one potential Gym Leader can hold the same type, but only the stronger of the two shall remain. There shall be no battling between you, yet there should be no hard feelings; may the best man win.

-Eeveelution is NOT a type, and neither is Starter! You don't go around seeing eevee gym leaders in the games. :I

-All training MUST be complete by July 24th, and ready for judging. NO EXCEPTIONS.

-Depending on the number of entries, you may have to face between 1 and 3 judges. These judges will not be revealed until Judgment Day, and will act as roaming Trainers, battling for your badge.

-Regardless of the number, you only get ONE chance against each judge _{(even if you only fight one)}. No do-overs, and no excuses!

WiFi Rules:

-Hacked Pokemon are FORBIDDEN
-Legendary and Uber Pokemon are FORBIDDEN _{(Phione and Rotom are NOT Legendaries)}
-Do not Disconnect
-Evasion-related Hax (Luck) Items are FORBIDDEN
-Each Trainer is allowed only ONE of an item from these Restricted Items: Crit-related Hax Items, Focus Sash/Band, Quick Claw
-Follow all Clauses _{(listed below)}

Battle Clauses:

-Evasion/Accuracy Clause - Moves that increase evasion/reduce accuracy are not allowed
-Sleep Clause - Only one the opponent's Pokemon may be put to Sleep by the foe at any one time
-Species Clause - Only one of each Pokemon is allowed on a team _{(Ex: No having 2 Dragonites on your team)}
-OHKO Clause - Moves that KO upon contact are not allowed _{(Fissure, Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, Guillotine)}

Other things to know:

-Failure to follow the rules will result in disqualification.

-Once the 8 are chosen, they must comply by the rules given to them, the Gym Leader's Code, if you will. Failure to do so will result in a runner-up filling the spot instead.

- Pokemon games Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum may be used.

-Judging starts July 24th, so be ready!

BUT AHHHHH

PORTAL IS FUCKING AWESOME! Glados creeps the shit out of me but ahh her voice is kickass and shooting portals and lies and turrets and fsdgfhbgj. C'8

As for TF2, I have to say the team of characters is great, I had loved their intro clips, but as for me playing it. I love it, but I can't get sucked into it like I did portal. I think it has to do with the fact that I'm new at the game (only have played it twice atm) I keep getting killed the second I spot someone from the other team. D|
I have no clue how I'm going to improve with experiences like that. lol. I guess I'll have to try the game out more. |'3
Btw... Spy, Scout, and Sniper are my favs from what I've played.

Hello hello hello!

I figured since I have part of my script done now, I should host auditions for the characters.

(BTW, these are most of the audition parts, but not all of them.
I'll post more up on another journal once I write their parts.)

So let's get underway!

RULES
-
REMEMBER! -Please have as little background noise as possible in your recordings.
Save the audition lines as individual files. One file for each line.
Save each file as 'RiseAudition_YourDAusernamehere_CharacterName_Line1/2/3'
Save each file as a WAV or MP3.
Note them to me once you're done. ;D

8-Bit
- The main character. 8-Bit is a young 9 year old with an addiction to games and all that is fun. He sounds a bit like Chowder.

Lines
1- *very happy* Yeah! Mom can Kimble stay here?
2- *pouting* ... Okay...fine. As Long as we can visit Kimble sometime later.
3- *emotional, angry, and confused* WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WE HAVE TO GO BACK!

Kimble
- 8-Bit's best friend. He's a mouthy little kid who's a smart alec. He loves it when his 'way' is correct and hates it when others tell him otherwise. Other then that he always has fun ideas and is very outgoing. Enjoys pranks.

Lines
1- *tears up* Awwww mom. I don't want to go.
2- I like living here. You can move without me, I'll stay at 8-Bit's house!
3- Really? Awesome!

Aster
- 8-Bit's mom. She's a pretty awesome mom. She's cool, laid back, yet takes charge of any situation. Cares deeply for her son. She is a single parent.

Lines
1- I think Kimble has to go with his family.
2- Here I know what, You and Pixel can go to the station and say goodbye there. Sound good?

Rii
- Kimble's mom. She's a nice woman who is friends with Aster. She deals with Kimble's trouble making quite well.

Lines
1- Alright Kimble, it's time to go! Say goodbye!
2- Ha ha,you can visit us anytime you'd like. I know Kimble will like that.
3- Ok then, later Aster. Let's get a move on boys.
