Bah, it was a horrible morning today though- my cat was chasing a mouse that some magpies were also after, but by the time I got down the drive to help it, the magpie had already tried bashing it about, so I picked it up, and it was still and looked like it was having trouble breathing. Mum said she thought it was going to die, so I sat with it in my hands and watched it die It was so sad. I've never had something like that happen before, and I knew I couldn't help it in any way. So I went and buried it in the garden in floods of tears.
I like to think that Leela was rescuing it from the magpies though :3

2. (The big rant) I went nextdoor to feed Bruno, their cat, as they had gone away for a week and asked me to feed him, the rabbit and the fish. So I went over to find a strange cat sitting in their window who had been in there a few days ago but ran straight out the cat flap as soon a I came in. So I quickly got in and blocked the cat flap so he couldn't get away.
The reason I didn't want him to get away is:
Roughly 1 and 1/2 years ago, we looked after a male tabby cat called Badger for somebody in the special cat shed we have in the garden for fostering cats. They have an outside run with a catflap leading inside where their litter box is and their bed and food and water. Badger didn't like being there and was constantly climbing up the walls of the run and wouldn't come inside to eat.
Mum decided to go into the pen to try and get him to eat the food but as she opened the door slightly he shot out and ran away. We didn't see him for a long while until recently...

I tried approaching him nextdoor but he ran away and tried to get out the catflap but couldn't. He ran back onto the windowsill so I croached down and slowly went up to him. He let me stroke him and that was when I realised that he had fleas in his ears, had a runny nose and didn't look too well. I ran back home to get my phone so I could text my mum to tell her about it. She rang me back and told me that he sounded like he needed a trip to the vets but we couldn't just take him because he might belong to somebody. She said that I will have to knock on people's door's down the street and ask them if he is their cat. One problem there, I'm shy.

I really want to help the cat but I really don't want to go knocking on people's doors who I don't know. I wouldn't know what to say either without making myself sound stupid D: . So I'm stuck.

Any advice on what to do would be nice xD
