Mine was all right: My family and I, we decided this year to head over to the park grounds where a fireworks show was being showcased. We all had a good time there, particularly with the events, which involved a sack race where adults of all ages, ranging between twenty and fifty, participated. (Boy, we all got a kick out of it. ) The fireworks were spectacular, but I kind of spoiled the viewing by exclaiming in Japanese every time a firework exploded while everyone else was ahhhhing and ohhhing in English.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to get some much need rest.

Uhhh…

…How do you guys (who do digital art), with or without a tablet, do your artwork? How do you draw the lines for the line-art in your pictures (if you draw/ink them in digitally)? What brushes/techniques do you employ? What programs do you use for drawing the line-art? I’m asking because… I have a copy of Photoshop CS4 on me, but these are all I have for brushes:

Well, I also have a few brushes that I’d picked up from DeviantART, but they’re not really for drawing lines and stuff…

Anyway, that’s all I have for “drawing” lines in Photoshop. I really don’t like them: They all have really soft lines, which I don’t want: I want to be able to draw lines that look crisp and clean, like those you see in professional [two dimensional] animation. Daaaaaaaaaaaaar.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaar. I’ve just come back from seeing Pixar’s latest movie release: UP, or Japanese dubbed-wise, カールじいさんの空飛ぶ家（Grandpa Carl’s Sky-Flying House）. (Funny how the [English] title of it reminds me an awful lot of the United States package delivery system.) It was pretty good: the three dimensional graphics were breath-taking to behold on sight (and holly sheets, but were those rendered balloons awesome or what); the characters’ and their traits and personalities with thought-out and well-done; and the story was complex and humorously graphed to keep my interest in it (not to mention its freshness with the storyline is slyly crafted yet easy enough for anyone of any age to follow along). Definitely not a film to disappoint long-timers and newcomers, elderly, young, and in-betweeners alike. I mean, when has Pixar ever spawned us a movie that WASN’T worthwhile to see? (I still think that WALL・E is Pixar’s best film to date, though.) The short was all right; it kept me amused enough to chuckle at its funny bits. (Daaaaaar, it was funny to hear Russel’s English voice: I’ve only seen two trailers for the movie, the one that came with the WALL・E DVD (in English, duh) and another on a movie alerts website (in Japanese). What surprised me was how similar (I thought so, anyway) Russel’s Japanese seiyū and American voice actor sounded. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar. )

_{Oh. Speaking of movies, I saw something on YouTube last night that all classic horror movie lovers will know and love. Daaaaaaaar, and while I’m on the subject of shameful YouTube advertising, here’s something for Lord Of The Rings fans to enjoy.}

My mother contacted one of our relatives, who is on friendly enough terms with us that she sent us a fixed up (and in rather good condition too) computer with upgraded versions of nearly every program that was on our old computer (excluding Photoshop, of course), sort of as a Christmas gift to us. (Erm, I think the correct term used here would be “to me”… ) So, yes, I’ve got complete, fully accessable, workable Internet access now. So I can now access DeviantART, email, PhotoBucket, as well as any other website I so desire. Happy happy, joy joy!}

Yeah, anyway, Happy Thanksgiving, people. Hooray, cheers, and all that tosh. Mine was all right; went out to dinner with mah family, so none of us had to do any cooking, which was nice… And then went back home and booted up Animal Crossing City Folk for a bit and did the Harvest-Festival-with-Franklin-the-turkey event. Took me about two hours to fully collect all of the Harvest Furniture sets—stupid Franklin did a superb job of avoiding being found —but I succeeded (and got a truck-full of extra duplicates in the bargain).

So now, we have Christmas and other great gift-giving stuff to look forward to. I’ll be having more time to draw and do the stuff that I enjoy, since my school’s going to be taking a winter break very soon (hooray! ), so during the season I’m going to try and actually do my half of the Holiday ArtTrades that… I should’ve done almost a year ago. *le-gasp* Yes, I’m truly an idiot. 本当にご免ね 皆さん。(I’m really sorry, everyone.)

(Hontou ni, gomen nasai! ) All art-uploading-related websites are now unaccessable on my computer, so I can't access my usual art-uploading website, Photobucket, anymore... which screws up my backup plans of uploading my desired artwork onto there and then posting them up on DeviantART. *groans* I think I'll have to resort to burning the files onto a CD and then bringing the CD over and copying the artwork files over at the library's computer(s)--but I am a bit reluctant to do that, since there's always the possibility that the CDs may (somehow, though see exactly how) catch little virus bugs that could eat away my precious art data. (Yeah, call me paranoia if you will ) Of course, I also need to get a move-on on artwork to post...

Anyway, turning away from the computer-problem-related-stuff-that-I'm-sure-had-bored-you-to-tears-and-was-a-pain-in-the-Pork-Chops-for-me-to-type-on-the-Wii's-keyboard topic and switching to the one that's mentioned in the subject headline, earlier I got my hands on Animal Crossing City Folk. _{Eh-heh, I spent the rest of the entire day exploring my town, so now my school homework's gonna fail epically... Oh well.} Having now finally succeeded in obtaining my friend code (it wasn't that hard to get, actually... I just kept getting distracted by other things--namely the Able Sisters ), I'm willing to trade FCs with any of my close friends so I can visit your towns over WiFi and vica versa. I had gotten right down to the very last boss, Tabuu, and even managed to dodge his instant-death-by-wings-attack at one point in the battle, but then I slipped up and then Lucas died… Too bad… But I guess even the defeat should be something to be proud at, since I’d never before gotten down to nine defeated bosses before. Good try, Lucas! I’m still proud of you.

Sorry, I just wanted to rant about that. Also, my deep, deep, deepest apologizes for not being on lately, nor posting any work; too busy with life, Kumoricon cosplay, drawing, and Brawl. I have some fanart thast I want to post, but it’s only either inked in (not colored yet) or still in pencil, and I either can’t get the motivation to color it or don’t have time (mostly the latter).

Oh, and does anyone know a good repair shop that repairs Gamecube controllers? Because there was a couple of incidents involving The Subspace Emissary on Very Hard mode, low blood sugar, and frustration that resulted in two broken Gamecube controllers…

*Notice: Obvious spoliers to those who have not yet seen Wall·E.*

Today, I finally got to go see Pixar’s Wall·E. Now, I am not the type of person who likes robots—in fact, I’m afraid of them. Don’t know exactly why, but I just am. Even Nintendo’s own robotic character, Robot/R.O.B., is one that scares me. But since this is a Pixar movie, I felt that no matter what the theme, I’d enjoy it. What I didn’t expect was this: Wall·E is the first ever movie I’ve seen that made me cry. And I mean really cry, not just shed a tear or two. I cried the first time at one scene, when it looked like Wall·E was about to die and there seemed no way to save him, and then cried even harder at the part when Wall·E seems to have lost his memory of EVE. Oh my god, I was so moved… I couldn’t help but cry like a little sissy. Now I’m hoping and praying that Wall·E will be released around Christmas so that when I get it, I can rewatch it on my birthday and then cry again and then that will be the best birthday I’ll ever have, watching Wall·E and crying to it.

That’s all I wanted to share. I suppose it’s amazing for me because I cry so rarely at stories of any kind, since I was told that I’m a cold-hearted person in the sense that no matter how sad the story, I never shed a tear. (Which, I suppose, is true; I remember there were a few very rare times when I almost cried while playing a video game, but the first (and so far only) video game I actually really cried to was Mother 3) Sorry for wasting your time (and filling your inbox) with a useless update.

_{Also—WOAH. DeviantART changed their look? Woah, um, okay, very sleek-looking. I suppose it is helpful for me since I can now dig my way through and choose which comments I want to read/reply to. But now I can only read about three-to-five comments at a time in my inboxÂ}

Finally decided today to try to take on that Event Match that was giving me trouble. (You know the one I’m talking about… ) I beat it. Finally. But this time I used a strategy. Okay, last time, while I was experimenting with different characters, I somehow developed this thing to have the character I’m using run toward the edge of the stage, and then fall off but jump back up to grab the edge. By doing this carefully enough, eventually the computer would get tired of my thing and try to get rid of me by jumping down and attacking me in midair. Sometimes this worked. However, just as often, the computer would mistime the attack/jump and end up failing to return to the stage, at which point they would KO themselves. I decided to try this out with a character that has good jumping skills, namely Pit. It kinda worked but Pit was too light, so I switched tracks and choose Meta Knight instead. After a few retries, it actually worked!

I couldn’t believe it; though I think mostly luck was involved, as I swear that the CPU Mario at one point just jumped straight off the stage without trying to attack. But it was actually amusing to watch, as at one point (after Mario had KOed himself from the match) Snake planted a bomb near the edge of the stage, obviously hoping to blow me up, was getting ready to blast me as I came up to grab ahold of the edge… and unfortunately attacked the bomb he’d planted himself, blowing himself (and Sonic, as he was close enough to get the blast; I wasn’t affected, though) off into the distance. I couldn’t help but laugh at that part. _{Man, I wish you were given the option of recording Event Matches… That was so priceless to see.}

Also, it seems that DeivantART has finally fixed their Emoticon glitch thing… kinda.

Oh, and the problem with the mouse-freezing-thing was, in fact, because of the mouse. I found a brand-new, never-before-used-or-even-opened-from-its-plastic-wrapping computer mouse buried in my... ]]> =Chibi-Pit http://Chibi-Pit.deviantart.com/journal/18902010/ http://Chibi-Pit.deviantart.com/journal/18902010/ Tue, 17 Jun 2008 22:10:59 PDT laziness ), and mostly staying around the house, eating junk sweets, playing Pokémon Diamond, and feeling depressed and hopeless. Okay, the last part’s not that big a deal, and in fact I have gotten some drawings done, including (hooray!) two birthday pictures penciled in. Unfortunately, I’m having trouble with artist’s color block; I just can’t seem to be able to color my pictures right the way I want them, so they look horrible. Please, if anyone could have any suggestions on how to cure it, I would be most, most, most grateful.

Oh, and my computer mouse keeps freezing for every five seconds or so, which is getting to be SO annoying, especially when I’m working in Photoshop with the lasso tool.

Oh, and I apologize for the lack of art. Currently, I’m trying to work on one of my Lucas fanart ideas; it’s proving to be a little tricky, though… Also, I need to hurry up and get both my (unbelievably late) Easter picture and updated DeviantART ID colored, as well as maybe try and work on some of my friends’ ArtTrades and ~AngstyGuy’s incredibly late birthday picture and try and get that ~Pit-Pairing-Club set up, not to mention work on the request that I was asked by someone.

Dang, I am such an idiot; and such a bad friend… I wish I was a better friend… I hate myself.

So, maybe I’ll be staying off for a nice, long while. Maybe until May…

Oh, and , I finally got my stupid microphone working; right now, I’m practicing my voice acting, so either tomorrow or the day after, when I copy the audio files to a CD and email them to you at the library, since Yahoo! Mail is acting like such an ***hole to my email on my home computer, I’ll send them to you and you can judge my voice quality.

Please, people, I really don’t want anyone saying that they’ll miss me during my absence. I don’t want anyone saying that they’ll wait for me, or that they’ll be happy when I come back or any of that crap. Do NOT try and counter my self-hate; do not try to comfort me, or make me feel better, or any of that; chances are that you will make me feel a lot worse, and a lot guiltier.

Anyone notice that April is always the month where I tend to disappear?

And to anyone who was wondering, I did NOT put the I support Chibi-Pit stamp in my collection of stamps to advertise myself. I absolutely HATE advertising myself. I only, and only, put it there because I needed another “support user” stamp that I couldn’t find at the time, so I was stuck with my own “support user” stamp. Rest assured, as soon as I find other “support user” stamp [of one of my friends], I will promptly replace my own support stamp.

Went to the library for about three full hours and read the whole time I was there.

Played Brawly for a little while, and just did random things in Training Mode (like beat the crap out of Sonic ) and screwed around on one of my Custom Stages.

Ate some yummy fried mashed potatos for dinner.

Thought of and worked on some Lucas fanart ideas.

How sad. I can’t think of what to post for a Journal Entry and instead just post random things I did. (This Journal is defiantely going to be deleted soon… )

I had seriously forgotten what day it is today (not the date, the event). So it sure surprised the friggin’ heck out of me when I logged on to DeviantART today and saw Mudkip avatars everywhere. I guess when I go out today, I’d better be careful not to get fooled anymore. In fact, on second thought, maybe I’ll just stay home for the rest of today. (Don’t think that’ll happen, though)

I’ve noticed that Brawl has also leeched away my interest in the games and characters that I once loved; I try to keep my thoughts away from Pit and Lucas now, since everytime I let them go anywhere near them I feel even more depressed and suicidal, and any interest in continuing in my second Mother 3 file has evaporated. The irony? This happened only to the two characters who I play as most often in Brawl; with all the other characters and game series I like, I only feel neutral towards them.

Pah, I guess maybe I AM going mentally insane; what kind of person thinks of this crap about a game?

I refuse to use other peoples' works in it, since it makes me uncomfortable using another person's art for any reason (even if I got permission from the artist to use it). Now, this brings up one concern that I have, but I'll post that here later. What I want from you guys is suggestions. Because right now I am having artist's block *gasp! Evil artist's block! *, so I can't think of what to make for the wallpaper. Or rather, what theme. So I want to hear from you guys: What kind of theme should I make for the Mother 3 wallpaper? Lucas and Claus (NOT AS SHOTACON/YAOI, MIND YOU!); Lucas's family (and should I include Claus and Hinawa-san or just make it Lucas, Flint and Boney?); Lucas, Boney, Duster and Kumatora; or maybe just with Lucas? Or do you have another Mother 3-related suggestion? Because I am open for suggestions for anything (though admittedly I want ones that include Lucas in them ), except for yaoi/shotacon/yuri/lolicon and anything else that is sexually related. I'm sorry, but I really don't want a wallpaper where I'll have to see that everytime I boot up the computer. Also, I will not be making any wallpaper that contains explicit gore or violence. That means I will not be making any wallpaper that shows Lucas using PSI to blow someone's head off, or anything else just as explicit.

I'm also interested in suggestions for Kid Icarus- and Smash Bros. Brawl-themed wallpaper. But right now, I'm mainly interested in Mother 3 suggestions.

By the way, I will NOT be using any offcial pictures or someone else's art in the wallpaper(s).

This brings up the concern I mentioned earlier: Art theft. As you all know, I don't use watermarks for my wallpaper because it's something that anyone can use for their own use, not as something for them to claim as their own! Now, it's bad enough that people should steal a wallpaper I made with official pictures, but with something that I poured my own sweat, blood and time into making? That just PISSES me off! So I have a concern that art thieves could (or will) steal my wallpaper and post it on another website and claim it as their own work...

Also, I made a list of drawings that I either want to redo (because I like them or their theme enough to give them this honor) or want to draw. I'll probably adding or subtracting to or from the list over time.

So... happy (belated) birthday to me. I meant to celebrate it yesterday (even though my actual birthday was on the twenty-sixth of February). But, as we all know, I got distracted by a certain video game, so I ended up spending all of the entire day playing it. So today it went okay, the (belated) sixteen birthday. I played Brawl for a bit, went out to the library for a little while and got out a good book to read, then came back home, had my mom (and my cat, Oswald) sing happy birthday to me, and then ate some Smash cake and ice cream. The cake was superb, by the way. I'll be posting an image of it here in the Journal, as soon as I upload it from the camera. For presents, I got:

Yep, that's right. Approximately a day and a few hours ago, I went to my local video game store and got my sexy preordered copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Needless to say, I am so ****ing excited and happy. So, the first thing I did, after seeing the too-awesome-for-words opening screen—since I've been a good little smasher and retained my Smash virginity for as long as I could by avoiding the Smash Bros. DOJO!! website, among all the others—and screamed out Pit's name the moment he came on-screen, was head straight for Training Mode and got to, at long, long, LONG last, try out and see Pit's moves. Link got the honor of being my punching bag for Training Mode, since Marth wasn't around at the time, nor Sonic the Fucking Mutant Freak. (Please pardon my language ) And then the next day (since I WAS up late that night) I headed for the Brawl arena and did a match of me, Pit, versus Mario, Donkey Kong and Link, all level nine CPUs, and the battle arena that was picked was the PictoChat stage. Needless to say, I had my butt handed to me. Big time. But I ended up grabbing my very first Smash Ball and getting to see Pit's Final Smash, so I was happy. Surprisingly, I won my very first match in Brawl in the second one, and got to see Pit's victory for the first time. So I was haaaaaaapppppy. I've been getting better at Pit, though it's mostly because I tend to grab Smash Balls and let the Icaruses (Centurians) finish off my opponents for me.

Oh, and about exchanging Brawl friend codes with friends... I'll be updating my Nintendo Wii friend codes Journal about that.

I don't really know what else to say right now... I need to go and work on my Brawl picture, but I feel like playing Brawl right now. So I guess I'll go and play it...

<sub>By the way, I do have something else to say: I really want to know who Pit's American voice actor is. So then I can hunt him down and kill him with my own bare hands. 'Cause when I first heard Pit speak (by way of taunting) I was appalled. Like, totally. Whoever Pit's American voice actor is, he sure did a hell of a crappy job with Pit's voice; I mean seriously, who the **** makes Pit say, "The fight is on!" "You're not ready yet!" "You can't defeat me!" and makes Pit sound like some obnoxious, self-centered, over-confident, cocky, arrogant jerk? I'm not going to let this ruin my beatiful image of how I think Pit should sound/act, but I still hate how I have to hear that voice everytime I accidentally press up or sideways on the taunt pad. At least with Pit's third taunt he doesn't speak.

Well, at least compared to Sonic's voice, Sonic makes Pit sound like a humble, fair gentleman, like a hundred—no, a million times over. Fuck Sonic the Mutant Blue Freak.</sub>

EDIT 03/10/2008: Oops! So sorry, people! I completely forget to say how the Super Smash tournament and the cosplay contest went at my local video game store. My bad, sorry! Well, the tournament wasn't that interesting; there was only one—yeah, that's right, ONE—Nintendo Wii console at the store, so people had take turns in order to play. If something like this should happen to me again... I might as well consider leaving DeviantART for good. No, I am serious. I am so outraged and upset that DeviantART accused me for violating copyrighted issues when in fact that is exactly what DIDN'T happen!

For those of you who don't remember (and for those of you who do, just read this to refresh your memory), in one of my previous Journal Entries, I mentioned that I had a club account that I created titled the "Pit Pairing Club." In my Journal Entry, I had written (and I quote this, since the following text is copied and pasted):

"The 'Pit Pairing Club' is a club dedicated to all those Pit pairings that are all the rage on the web. It supports any and all types of Pit pairings/shippers: OCs (OriginalCharacters), crossover pairings, yaoi/shotacon pairings, even fangirl/fanboy pairings, although I don't exactly encourage those."

Which pretty much sums up the description about what the club's about and so on.

Anyway, I had also asked you guys about whether or not the club was a good idea. A few of you said you liked it, so I guess I'll go ahead and get it up and running. HOWEVER! There are some things that must be done before I'll open the club for business:

#1 is the fact that I'm in need of a club ID and avatar for it. I'd make them myself but I don't have time to do it right now (and once Brawl's out, you can bet that my drawings are going to suffer pretty badly ); also, I'd like the avatar to be animated, but I have no way to do it myself. This club, which I created with , is called the "Nintendo Liberation Front", called "Nin-Lib-Frt" for short, since DeviantART refuses to have usernames with more then thirty letters. Anyway, we came up with it when we were brain-storming ideas for an Anti-Sonic club, and he suggested naming it the “Nintendo Liberation Front,” since it seems like Sonic’s home company, Sega, is trying to take over Nintendo, starting with Nintendo’s own magazine, Nintendo Power. So the Nintendo Liberation Front is going to primarly be a place where we’ll be Anti-Sonic and Sega, but we may have other plans as well. I don’t know; we’re still brain-storming ideas.

So... with Super Smash Bros. Brawl only two days, six hours and fourteen minutes away from being released, I figured now would be an excellent time to bring up the subject of Nintendo Wii friend codes. Since, as we all know and love, Brawl has online fighting features, what could be more fun then doing online fighting with your friends? (Well, maybe beating the snot out of Sonic with a Home-Run Bat, but that's only what I think... ) But to do that, you need to (dun-dun-dun!) exchange your friend code with your friends. So I decided to make a Journal Entry that was just about that very thing.

Yeah, seriously people, I AM still alive. I had to go on an almost two-week hiatus due to unexpected and personal buisiness. Which REALLY sucked, because not only did I have no Internet (and NO music/video games/etc.) where I was, but I also had to spend my sixteenth birthday there. Which really stunk, just like with all my other birthdays. (I won’t say, “I told you so!” though; oh, wait, I had already said it, didn’t I? Well, yeah, see? I told you my sixteenth birthday would suck, just like all my other birthdays did! )

Oh, GODDESS, is it good to be back or what? I was so homesick… The first thing I did after I got back home was give both my dog and cat huge, lovable hugs. I had missed them so much. Then I checked my Nintendo Wii and found some messages on it (and found that Internet connection on it is acting screwy, too ); then booted up the computer and listened to my Super Smash Bros. Brawl music, which I hadn’t been able to listen to during my absence; and now I’m on the computer right now, typing this all down. And then, I am so going to go and play Super Smash Bros. Melee later on. _{Oh, how much I missed my MeleeÂ}

Oh, speaking of Smash Bros., yes, I am SO excited about how Super Smash Bros. Brawl is only two days away the North American release date! WOO-HOO! I’m busy listening to all my Brawl music to pump my excitement! And this Saturday, my local video game store is hosting a Super Smash tournament in honor for this occasion. And then there’s even going to be a cosplay contest! I am SOOOOOOOOOO psyched!

This brings up the subject for exchanging friend codes. I plan on posting a Journal Entry about that sometime soon.

Finally, my mom and I decided that on March 9th, we’ll celebrate both our birthdays together: After we come back home from the midnight Brawl party at the video game store, I’ll play Brawl for a little while, then go to sleep, then in the morning or afternoon we’ll go out to eat somewhere, come home and unwrap birthday presents and eat our separate birthday cakes, then play Kirby Air Ride together (since we both love that game ), then I’ll go back and play Brawl some more.

By the way, anyone who’s visted my profile page will notice that I have a one year subscription for DeviantART now! It was a late birthday gift from my mom, so I’m extremely grateful to her for it. Thanks a huge bunch, mom!

So... what's the year been like for me since I first came to DeviantART? Well, I made a ton of new friends, got my pageviews up to 6,000 (yeah, it's nothing all that great, compared to other deviants' userpages, but it's a start, right? ), improved my art skills a little bit, and know when Brawl's going to be released for the North Americans. So I guess last year turned out pretty good for me. Of course, we have to hope that I don't go into a five month hiatus like I did last year...

Well, I am going to follow my New Year's resolution and not rant to all you guys about my depression. Well, now, Christmas is only less then a week away now. This brings back memories of when I was a wee little one, I used to think Christmas took forever to get here. As for the weekly updates on Smash Bros. DOJO!!:

Well, there's going to be an interesting item called the "Team Healer." As you can guess from it's name, it obviously plays a role in Team Battles. The Team Healer is not an item that immediately takes effect after you pick it up. But if you toss it at your team mate, it will replenish their damage meter. Not a bad item; on the other hand, if you miss your intended target and hit your opponent instead, there's always the chance their damage will be healed instead. Guess this means I should practice my aim a bit, then.

On Tuesday, they updated the website with one of the songs for the MOTHER stage, New Pork City. The arrangement for Pokey's theme is quite good; I've never played any of the MOTHER games, but I've listened to some of the music. I recognized some of the bits in the music from the preview trailer for the cancelled game MOTHER 3.5 for the Nintendo 64DD. I'll be sure to recognize this song in the original game if I ever get the chance to play MOTHER 3 in the future. I'm also looking forward to hearing what the rearrangement for SNOWMAN will be like in Brawl.

Anyway, below is the actual REAL reason why I'm posting this Journal Entry:

Winter Holiday ArtTrades
Starting from December the 1st to December the 31st, I will be taking Holiday-themed ArtTrade requests. Why am I doing this? 'Cause 'tis the season to make art! And do requests.

Before you wish to request an ArtTrade, I would appreciate it if you could read through the rules first. Yes, I know, a lot of text to read, but I don't want anyone getting hurt. And remember, this ArtTrade is for fun, so don't be intimidated!

RULES

Since this is an ArtTrade, obviously you are expected to fulfill your end of the bargain. And yes, this includes drawing what it is that you are requested to do. Even if the picture looks good, if the subject is different from what the person originally requested, it will not do. Excuses will not be accepted. If what the person asks you to draw is harder then your current drawing skill can handle, then tell them that and work out something together that fits both of your needs and satisfactions.

I forgot to mention that the ArtTrade requests do not just have to be hand-drawn pictures. They can be pixel sprites, or whatever else you do as an artist. Also, requests are not limited to pictures, but can also be comics (both hand-drawn/computer made and pixel sprites), movies/animations (but please, I would rather prefer if you didn't do that, because I know making either can be quite time-consuming), etc. Please note though that I myself will be sticking to pictures and comics.

Both parties must clearly state what their requests are. An ArtTrade will not start until both parties are clear on what it is they want.

Since this is a Winter Holiday ArtTrade, it is expected that your exchange of art has at least something to do with winter (but it doesn't have to be exclusively Christmas- or Hanukkah-related).

You are not expected to submit your drawing by the 31st of December, as the 31st of December is merely the deadline of when you can ask to do the Winter Holiday ArtTrades with me; however, it is preferable if you can get it posted sometime before July 2008.

Please remember to put in at least some effort in your part of the ArtTrade. I do not want to see a plain white background with a blue blob with the words "This is Marth" scrawled above it.

Normal ArtTrades is where you can ask me to draw one or more people in a drawing (it is not like a couple drawing; keep reading downward to find out about those). Limits to up to five people per drawing.

I limit three ArtTrades' requests per person. That means once you've asked for three, that's all you're going to get. You may ask for, say, two ArtTrades, and later ask to do another one, but once your ArtTrades request reaches three, you've hit the maximum limit.

You may ask to withdraw/change one or all of your requests; HOWEVER, if I've already completed one or more of your requests, then you must fulfill your end of the bargain as well. No withdrawing, now.

You may request both normal ArtTrades and couple drawings.

Limit one type of a specific subject. I will draw one, and only one, of a specific subject per person. That means you can't ask me to draw Link specifically three time over. I can do a normal ArtTrade with Link and then a couple drawing of him, but after that, you're going to have to pick a different subject to draw if you want to do a third ArtTrade with me.

I will do couple drawings. A couple drawing is obviously where I will draw two people together as a couple. I will draw whomever it is you want as a couple, be it a pairing of video game/anime/manga characters, real time, etc. PLEASE NOTE, however, if it is a real time couple such as your friend with someone else (be it real or fictional), you must know yourself that she/he is okay with this (i.e. she/he acknowledged it in public, like me with my undying love for Pit ). Oh, and my mom played Animal Crossing on her GameCube and did the Thanksgiving event thing on there, which involved gathering all the Harvest furniture. Oh yeah, and I'm really, truly sorry for not getting the Thanksgiving picture up. For the past weeks, I've been feeling really depressed and unmotivated to do anything, like draw. And I'm still feeling that way. Which stinks.

And , I am so, so, so, so sorry that I didn't post your birthday card! I'm really, really sorry about that. I had the drawing itself finished, but then when I tried to color it, I lost motivation for it, and just called it quits. And then I wasn't able to think of anything else to draw for you, since at that time I was in a coma of depression. I'll still draw your birthday card if you want me too, but you'll have to tell me what you want me to draw, because I can't think of anything offhand.

Oh, and great, my computer started acting weirdly today. Internet was (and still is) really slow, and now even Photoshop is acting screwy, 'cause when I tried to open a Photoshop file, it took so long to open that I finally ended up closing the whole program, on which I got the annoying error message: "The program is not responding." It only works with PSD (Photoshop) files, though; JPEG files open normally.

On a slightly lighter subject... I've gotten addicted to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Again. Currently I'm at Chapter 25: Strange Lands. I'm rather ashamed of myself, because it's sucking up too much of my free time, which I should be using to draw.

And... HOLY PALUTENA! 4000 HITS ON MY USERPAGE! ...And I still haven't finished my 2000 and 3000 hits picture. Actually, I think I might wait a bit for my 5000 hits before I do a "Thanks for the XXXX hits" pic. Hmm, lemme think about it for a while.

Yeah, I just wanted to let you guys know my current process in both lists. As you can see in the second list, much of my stuff is already drawn and inked in, but not colored, for the simple reason I've gotten bored with computer coloring. I might switch to colored pencils and just stick with those, 'cause I like those better then Photoshop (even though my scanner appearently hates pencil-colored drawings). And even more so are there drawings unstarted yet. This is just to give you an idea to estimate how long it might be 'till I come back. (Not that it's any big deal or anything ; I mean, it's not like people will be rejoicing, throwing welcome-back parties or anything, and it's not like angels will sing to the heavens and trumpets will blow and... Okay, now this is starting to freak me out ) And just to let you know, I'll be updating the both lists' process from time-to-time (but only when I get something done, of course).

On a different subject, I'm thinking that if—when—I come back, I'll get a subscription to Deviant Art, a year-long subscription, maybe. And if I do get one, I'd like to be able to customize my Journal Entries. Well, I finally, finally, FINALLY finished my "Big Summer Project!" Woohoo, cheers! Now, I've kept it a secret until now, so I'll tell:

My "Big Summer Project" happened to be completing a Pit costume (cosplay) in time for Kumoricon 2007.

Whew, I feel so much better now that that's out. So, yeah, a Pit cosplay, that's what I've been working on all summer. The costume looks pretty awesome, though I wish I could show it to you guys, though the only photo I think is the safest to share here on the Internet is this one.

So as intended, I wore my Pit cosplay during the three days Kumoricon was going on. I wrote down my experiences for the first two days, though funnily enough forgot to write down about Day 3. Here's what I wrote:

Well, day one at Kumoricon was exciting enough. My Pit costume proved to be very popular. Yes, that's right. I must have gotten twelve photos taken of me*, not including the ones my dad took. (*I probably would've gotten more photos taken but we arrived late and left early) Heck, the first girl who took my first photo actually asked if she could hug me. And on the way out back to the car, there was this long line outside the hotel, and there was this group of girls and when I walked by them, one of them cried out, "Look, it's Pit!" and then that was followed by squeals of, "Pit! It's Pit! Yaaay!" So I just sorta waved at them and walked on. That reminds me: Of the twelve photos that were taken, only 3% of the photographers were male. Well, that's waaay more then last year (the photos, I mean). Too bad I couldn't do very many fighting poses (), but by tomorrow the bow should be finished! Lol, I liked the photo dad took of me looking like I'm about to beat the stuffing out of my newly-bought Kirby plushie*. (*This photo is not posted on Deviant Art for security reasons) By the way, for fighting poses I mostly either did cool-looking stances or goofy victory poses. Actually, I'm a bit pleased (and flattered) that I got so many photos taken. And get this: I was the only one who was dressed as Pit on the first day. By the way, I saw

Checked out the Official Brawl website and saw the latest update... And some other random stuff.

OMG! I have 3000 pageviews! Crap, and I still haven't done a picture to celebrate my 2000 pageviews, either. Great, now I have two more pics to work on (on top of the pile of pictures I need to do if I really want to come back to Deviant Art)...
