I woke up this morning (10 am here) made some coffee, ate a bagel & decided to check out the latest deviations. Thats when I saw CSS DD. It was well done & the DD was well deserved. I never did use css before so I said to myself lets give it a shot. The explanations & instructions were straight forward & easy to follow. On this day 6 years ago 4 airliners were hijacked by terrorist with the intent of crippleling this nation. The 1st 2 planes crashed into the World Trade Center Towers, the 3rd crashed into the Pentagon & the 4th was brought down on a open field in PA by the heroic actions of the passenger onboard that plane.

It has been 6 six years and It still takes my breath away. so many lives changed forever. It is important that we always remember the sacrifices made by so many to help those in need.

I hugged my wife, & my children because I am eternally greatful for the opportunity to have them with me.

God bless the families of the survivors and may he give you the courage & strength to find peace in your hearts.

wow it has been sometime since I posted anything and I figured it was about time i updated my journal it just seems like everytime I intent on writing I end up doing something else.

It has been sometime so lets see what ive' been up to. I have been working hard on improving my use of painter IX. I know that im just scratching the surface right now but I draw tons of inspiration from looking at some of the works around DA. There are some very talented artist here and I feel the energy build up which comes in handy when you get frustrated by your own art work It does feel good though to know that some progress has been made.



In other happenings, I went to see superman today & is was really good. The effects were good, & there were some nice touches that made me think of Christopher Reeves. I also liked the story but i won't say anymore that way I won't spoil it for those who have not seen it. GO SEE IT!!

I Almost cried when I though My computer was dead from a major power surge The surge master that it was plugged into did not exhibit any signs but there was an odor. At first I though- "ok surge protector dead but the pc is ok." Then, the pc would not turn on I waited a while then tried it again but still no go. At this point I was too stressed to continue so I left it alone until the next day. I decided to try powering up one more time before doind a systematic check of each component. Then suddenly IT TURNED ON!!! My pc LIVES!!!! Im so glad its working fine, I hate having to reinstall everything
& at the very least the surge protector did its part.....................

Well, after feeling like i was stuck in a rutt, Im back to working on my art. I think im getting better using painter but there is still a lot of work ahead before I can be happy with the results The hardest part right now is staying patient. sometimes you want results quickly because you know the possibilities are all there.... stay tuned.

Talk about a emotional roller coaster. I was all set to go sunday to NYC for the comic con at the javits center, then I found out it was sold out!! what a bummer.

I wish there was some information made available ahead of time so that I could have bought tickets in advance. Its hard to do things when you find out thru a small column in the newspaper. I thought this kind of event would generate a lot more media because I definietley did not see anything about it in any commercials or the news.


On the plus side, its great to see such an overwhelming turnout. NYC should be one of the spots for a comic book convention & I hope this kind of response brings it back here every year.
