Huge Lot of Nothing

The title refers to what I did yesterday. NOTHING. Aside from church and a small family dinner, I didn't go out at all, because the whole town is still a huge puddle of slush, and I didn't get a chance to RP, so I sat at home all day.

I did manage to goof off on YouTube sufficiently. So as not to have to continue my stupid waste-of-time Kingdom Hearts-based talk-show spoof, "Ask Axel", or hear about it ever again, for that matter, I made a new YouTube account. I may do a revamped "Ask Axel" series when I no longer have to waste so much time on making it. It's very involved. In any case, my new YouTube name is a blatant proclaimation of my bizarre and tremendous infatuation with the quirky gorgeousness that is Jason Saldana of Rooster Teeth and my currently massive RvB/Roleplay kick. I'm TuckersGirlLakeli. XD PHEER TEH NERDNESS. Or maybe just a giant puddle of slush. Sometime last night, a light snow started, and then all of a sudden, about the middle of the day, snow just started dropping like there was a huge dump truck in the sky. The Christmas Parade I was supposed to be in got canned because of it, but there's a good chance they'll reschedule. We still did the Holiday Bazaar, and the marching band held a bake sale there as a fund raiser. I made fudge.

Speaking of which, that was kind of a disaster. XD I tried to make it on my own, and the bowl I used for the first batch was too small, so it overflowed when it started bubbling and now the microwave is kinda gross. Plus, I forgot to put in the vanilla in the first batch until after I cooked it, so the white chocolate fudge turned out kinda nasty. The vanilla's streaked through instead of mixed in.

In any case, I'm home for the day! Whoot! Why can't this happen on a school day for once?

If I have to hear the words "New Moon" out of anyone else's mouth for the next week, I'm gonna freaking explode. Why haven't these stupid teenage girls realized that Twilight and its sequels are the most boring, hideous, nonsensical, pointless, insultingly bad, 400 wasted pages of barely-worthy-of-being-called-literary crap the world has ever known?

Now that my rant is out of the way, I won't pester you with the details of my hatred further.

I've been in a bit of an art slump. I know I want to draw more stuff consisting of RP material, preferably something a bit more inspired and challenging than concept art, but I'm not sure what. I have pieces of ideas. I know I'd like to do something with the Tex/Damien pairing based on "Black Magic Woman" by Santana, but I'm not sure how to approach it. Anyone have a good pose in mind? Guillermo Del Toro is amazing. I've been watching Hellboy 2 in chunks, and the visuals are SO INCREDIBLE. But what is the Chamberlain supposed to be...? The world may never know. He looks like an alien. [link] Prince Nuada is HAWT, and his sister's eyes are wicked trippy.

I've still got fifteen minutes and I'm almost out of things to type about. I would totally do more work on STATESofMIND, but I have to have some way to entertain myself for the rest of the week, and STATES is almost over. Like I said before, I'm gonna write a bunch of short stories, but when I posted my contest, I only got, like, really serious ideas. They're exciting and all, but I need some goofy gag stories about stupid stuff, too. It's and RvB fanfic for crying out loud. We gotta keep the funnies coming. XD

I know I promised someone or other that I'd have the next chapter of STATESofMIND finished by like, last week, but I wasn't able to find any extra time that week and last week I was in BAND CAMP. From 8:30 in the morning to 5 at night. Jeez. But now that I've had the weekend to make a full recovery, I'm back in business, and I have the computer to myself in the morning because my brother sleeps ridiculously late and all my friends, including my RP buddy, have gone back to school and yet somehow I still have two more weeks. So, two weeks of solitude it is. I should be able to have a chapter up by today if I book it.

Also, because I had some extra posterboard from a church project, I made myself a STATESofMIND poster, which is currently on my wall. I took a picture so I could show all of you, but unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to get pictures off of my mom's camera memory card. So, I'll have to wait until I have a chance to ask. Also, I'm working on converting the beginnings of a rough draft for the poster into a drawing. Camden and Gustavo are at the top, and they both came out looking AMAZING, so I decided that since I could never reproduce the images, my best bet was to just work on the poster so that the amazing art would end up on the final instead of the draft. However, I still wanted to use those rough draft bits with Cam and Gus, so they get their own picture. Gus looks so angry, but SO sexy. Can you tell I love Gus? I love Gus. Does that make me weird? XD

Again, don't ask. XD I got up at around six today because I had a bizarre dream. I don't really remember it, but it had something to do with Bruce Willis. You know how sometimes in the movies when people have a nightmare, they pop up and gasp? Not NEARLY as cool as it looks.

Anyhoo, I was so busy last week! I didn't have time for anything. I went to colleges at the beginning of the week and then to the beach at the end. It was Virginia Private College week, meaning that if I visited three private universities in Virginia, I could get three application fee waivers so I could apply to any three private colleges in VA for free. Nifty, huh? It's senior year, so I'm gonna be doing a lot of college stuff. My favorite was definitely Hollins University. It was a beautiful campus in the mountains for all-women, which means I only have to talk to boys when I actually WANT to talk to them! (No offense, gents, but you do make studying rather hard, and if I'm gonna pay a crap-ton of money to go to a private college, I'm gonna get good grades!) Hollins used to be a hotspring resort for rich people, so the main building and many of the dorms are designed to be the lap of luxury. They even have specialty housing for all sorts of interest groups, including what they call the "Hall of Otaku". XD I'll be living there. The other two colleges were nice. I really liked Bridgewater. The only thing I didn't really like about that one was how far apart all the buildings are, but if I double-major in Psych and English like I plan to, that won't be so much of a problem, because classes for both are in the same building. Convenient coincidence.

And then we went to Nags Head/Kitty Hawk/Kill Devil Hills/ Roanoke Island. It was a lot of stuff. XD All together, they're called Outer Banks. There was not only a beautiful beach there, but the area is drowning in history, from the flight of the Wright Brothers to the infamous Lost Colony of Roanoke. Really awesome stuff. We didn't actually spend much time on the beach because it rained ALL DAY the day we planned to spend the most time there. We ended up playing Laser Tag instead, not that I'm complaining. XD But if you wanna hear me complain, ask me about Jimmy's Seafood Buffet. DO NOT GO THERE. THEY'RE TERRIBLE!!!!

Anyway, now that I'm back at my mom's, I'm going on ANOTHER vacation! We're spending a few days at Nags Head, a beach near Kitty Hawk. I've never been, but I heard it's beautiful. I'm gonna be kind of busy next week. I'll be looking at a few colleges, including the one I'm most interested in attending right now. That's on Tuesday, so on Wednesday, you'll probably hear from me about it.

On a side note, I know you're all totally sick of my RP stuff and not knowing anything about it. Kyri mentioned a doujinshi, and I planned to convert it to prose at some point, so you'll probably get two versions of it. ^^ For the time being, please sit tight and enjoy the prettiness of the characters. I'm now going to ramble about it.

I'm glad I finally drew Garrett. We haven't gotten to him in the actual RP yet, but he's coming up. Surprise, surprise, but he's going to be the Reverend who speaks at the funeral of Derek Grif. He and Marie are gonna end up being a bit of a background pairing. In case anyone hasn't noticed, I'm absolutely crazy about Garrett. He's such a nice guy with such profound and all-inclusive views about God and equality for all men and women. I can't really discuss these views here because they're kind of idealogically sensitive, but I like the beliefs I've come up with for him and I've adopted them as my own.

I wish I'd saved the part of the RP concerning Donut and Keweni. It was pretty short and really cute, and I would've liked to go ahead and convert it to prose and post it so you all have a part of it to read. Ah, well. Kyri has it, I'm sure.

I HAVE LIKE OVER 9000 IDEAS FOR THE RP including a short-term crack pairing, Grif being adorable, a new jerk to add to our ever-growing roster of characters, and an elaborate hoax that has become known to my friends with whom I have discussed it as "The Bathroom Joke". But Kyri is GONE until tomorrow and I'm going CRAZY.

On to STATESofMIND. I've got the next four chapters planned and I'm really excited about the next two, "Identity Crisis" and "Sister Twister". "Sister Twister" and the following two chapters, "Say What?!" and "Family Matters" have a lot of exciting plot twists. Unfortunately, It's pretty much a shot in the dark where the chapters will go from there. I'm REALLY close to the end. It'll probably take two more chapters after the next four and an epilogue before I close up shop. My dear cyber-friend and loyal reader, ~Zeiralia will recognize a few of the characters from the ending chapters from something else I've written. (Zee gets a cookie if she can guess what they're from before I publish them. ^^)

Red-vs-Blue-Society's art contest ending April 20th. What the heck, guys. Srsly. Am I really gonna have to extend the deadline? Or maybe I should just draw it myself... *sigh*

Oh, wanna hear about something stupid I did? Of course you do. Okay, so today, I was on the phone with ~black-blaze-inferno while painting this picture of Mihi's sister Visalia, and I got some black in a spot where there was supposed to be red. I got out a paper towel to wipe away the mistake and my red watercolor pencil, and when I was coloring with the pencil, I realized that I was creating a weird indentation into the paper, so I picked in up, and I'd pretty much drilled a hole into the paper. XD I had drawn the picture on flimsy drawing paper. I had to pitch it, but it wasn't coming out right, anyway.

My brother is an idiot. He's been making these squealy pig noises all week.

My dog did something funny the other day. We brought his foodbowl out into the living room so we could make sure he ate his food instead of the cats', and he laid down and started eating it like that. I got a picture. I'll put it up later.

My friends are so weird... I'd rather not go into detail. *sigh* I'll tell ya, as a Junior with lots of Senior friends, this whole "Senioritis" bit? It gets old. Fast.

Alrighty, as my watchers know, I had been posting a few pictures from my fanfiction "MARKED", which involved elements from Watchmen. I was quite proud of my works, but it was very hard to capture Rorschach's... elusive... personality. So, I did the best I could. Well, apparently, that's not enough for some people, so rather than try feebly to justify myself in the eyes of those who aren't willing to reason, I simply removed the two deviations.

God, people. Take a little humor. People take Watchmen WAY to seriously. It's a comic book, not a documentary.

People seem to have a lot of misconceptions about Rorschach, I've seen. He's not an emotionless shell, guys. I've read the comics. I've seen the movie. He's shown me plenty of times that he has feelings, and he cares about those close to him. PRIME EXAMPLE NUMBER ONE:
Rorschach: Been lazing around for a long time. Maybe you've forgotten how we do things.
Nite Owl: "...Lazing"? Listen, you, I've HAD it! Who the HELL do you think you are? You live off people while insulting them, and no one complains because they think you're a Goddamned lunatic! Do you know how hard it is, being your friend?!
(Awkward pause)
Nite Owl: I...Look, I'm sorry, Rorschach. I shouldn't have said that.
Rorschach: Daniel... You are... a good friend. I know that. I am sorry that sometimes it is difficult with me. *extends hand to be shaken*
Nite Owl: *shakes hand* Hey, forget it. It's okay, man. It's okay.

PRIME EXAMPLE NUMBER TWO:

Rorschach: Unidentified gang murders Mason. Supports the Mask-Killer Theory...
Nite Owl: Look, I don't CARE! Right now I dont CARE about whose theory is best! Just SHUT UP and bring the ship down.
Rorschach: Merely suggesting that by finding Mask-Killer, can have revenge for Mason's death. Meant to comfort you.
Nite Owl: Comfort me? Who in they're right mind could take comfort from... uh... Yeah, okay. Thank you, Rorschach. Really. Thank you.
Rorschach: You're welcome.

PRIME EXAMPLE NUMBER THREE:
Right before his death. In the movie, he was practically in tears. In the comic, he was literally in tears. He was crying, the physical manefestation of extreme frustration or sadness. Crying = sadness or frustration. Sadness/ frustration = emotions. Therefore, by means of the transitive property of math and logic, the fact that he was crying means that he does, in fact, have emotions.

HE HAS FEELINGS. HE CARES DEEPLY FOR THOSE CLOSE TO HIM, AND CAN SHOW IT WHEN HE NEEDS TO. HE IS NOT A DESOLATE VESSEL BARELY EXCUSABLE AS A HUMAN BEING THAT IS DEVOID OF EMOTION AS YOU PEOPLE CLAIM HE IS. HE JUST HAS A VERY GOOD POKER FACE AND DOESN'T LIKE TO WEAR HIS EMOTIONS ON HIS SLEEVE. WHY CAN'T YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT?!?! There were plenty of other examples of his humanity still being intact. And just because his social skills are broken doesn't mean they no longer exist. In my writing, I was just attempting to show more of that, and believe me, he fought it all the way. I didn't destroy him as a character. Is it so wrong that I just gave him a little hope? Someone to trust other than Nite Owl?

I don't know. I mean, yeah, I did what any other run-of-the-mill fangirl would've done. But it's not like I just threw in some random Mary-Sue and had them make babies. I gave it a plot. Depth. It took time... a LONG time... to develop. I made her almost his complete opposite so he'd hate it at first, but certain "restrictions" made it impossible for him to get rid of her. In the comics, I read his psychological history. It said he was extremely shy around women as a teenager. That's probably why he limits his conversation with Silk Spectre. He talks to her ONCE throughout the whole thing. Hmm. Did you ever stop to think that maybe women make him unnerved? GAWD, people. I didn't do anything evil. All I did was take him out of his comfort zone. He probably avoids romantic ventures because the other person could get hurt due to his dangerous life, he's not the most attractive guy, and he thinks that the woman may end up being like his mother. A hooker. A girl who gets around and breaks hearts and gets diseases and never stays in a permanent relationship and beats or aborts any children she may become pregnant with. I don't think anyone wants that, really. He's just a little more paranoid about it because, HELLO! HE'S EXPERIENCED IT FIRST HAND! Duh! His mom was an abusive prostitute, so he's afraid...

Okay... Apparently, no one really seemed to notice in my last journal that I made an edit stating that I was holding a contest. Let me explain.

Although I'm like 15 chapters away from actually finishing the TYPING portion of "Red vs. Blue: STATESofMIND", most of it is completely written out. I'm an explaination, a fight scene, two deaths and a conclusion away from being done. But I don't particularly want to be done with SoM, so I've decided to publish a series of shorts, and I NEED YOUR HELP! I'm a little strapped for ideas. So....

"STATESofMIND: Adventures" Contest!

Rules: Send me a NOTE giving a description of your idea for a short story. It can be very detailed or very simple, just give me the basic plotline. Include any INSANE plot twists you may think of. Be sure to mention which characters will be the focus of the story. You can invent aliens, create OCs, whatever. Just be sure to include profiles of any outside characters you give me.

IN OTHER NEWS....

Duuuuude! I saw Watchmen on its release day. It was AMAZING. Action packed, thought provoking, excessively gory, and just plain SEXY. And by sexy, I'm referring to the gruff, dark, dry voice of Rorschach, the unlikely favorite who seems to be the main character, but you can never be sure. That mask, man. That amazing mask. And for God's sake, he's tiny! This justice-obsessed borderline murderer is running around, breaking fingers, chopping up child molesters, and generally annoying other masked crusaders, and he's probably only a little taller than me. (I'm 5'2", don't judge.) Vertically challenged guys always have something to prove. With this guy, he just happens to be proving it with a cleaver. There are other characters, but only Rorschach is important. However, there is Dr. Manhattan. He seems to have issues with pants, because he refuses to wear them. He traipses around in the BIG BLUE BUFF for most of the film. Very distracting. Also, I have this love-hate thing for the Comedian. His attitude is amusing, but he's a total jerk. Meh. And, vague allusion to a spoiler here, but WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE ONES WITH NICE HAIR THAT ARE THE BAD GUYS?!?!?

Anyway, I enjoyed the movie greatly, and so when I went to Wal-Mart the next day, I made sure to grab a copy of the comic. They're almost exactly the same. Basically, the comic is Watchmen-2-Go, portable and silent version of the movie. It also features less on-screen nekkidness from Dr. Manhattan.

God, I can talk forever, can't I? Ahahaha.

Okay, in case you haven't noticed, I haven't been on in a while. You know why? MY COMPUTER FREAKING DIED! But it's fixed now! Yaaaay! It's back!

In fact, there are many things to celebrate.

Valentine's Day was pretty fun. I spent the entire day at ~black-blaze-inferno's house watching RENT, and then we went for Chinese food. The Chinese restaurant in town had crab legs and oysters. My boyfriend and I didn't do anything. XD I failed to plan with him, so we kind of cancelled at the last minute. Tooootally my fault. But, I was in a REALLY bad mood that whole day, so I probably ended up saving him a lot of grief in the end. I tortured Blaze instead!

Then, on Sunday, I watched the Breakfast Club with my folks. It was hilarious! Why didn't I watch that before...? Anyway, I also bought Red Eye (MAH FAVERIT!) and rented Appaloosa, which I will be watching with my mom this evening.

And today, I had no school. This is the first government holiday that my school has taken in years. It RAWKS. I hung out with Blaze again and I ate chocolate chip pancakes at the IHOP. I kinda wanted chocolate chip waffles from the Waffle House more, but they were all closed. Weird. And of course, the return of la computadora is a plus. Ooh! And I got a decent deal on a four-gig flash drive. It's a pretty schnazzy Cruzer.

In other news... I GOT THE DARK KNIGHT! Whoot! I've already watched it three times. I. Love. The. Joker. By the way, I know you guys are probably tired of all my NG stuff, but this time, I swear, I'm actually writing it out. For first generation Batman, ~black-blaze-inferno and I are collaborating to write a medium-length story called "Precious" and I will release a JokerxHarley one-shot called "Fractured", both of which will correspond with a Next-Generation screenplay-style fanfiction of a semi-episodic nature that resembles the structure of Batman: The Animated Series. The screenplay will be called "Knights of Gotham" (KoG for short. I like abbreviating things) and will have aproximately ten episodes per season and two main time settings. Hope you guys like it!

That's today's date. Any clue as to what the significance of it is? If you guessed that it's Saturday... you're right. If you guessed that it's the day I turn 17 years old... then you're also right! It's my birthday! And I've decided to do with it what I wish I could do pretty much every day: absolutely nothing. That's right, folks. I'm just gonna sit around playing the computer, calling people, and drawing all day. MEGA-WIN.

In other, less exciting news...

My watchers may have noticed that my Red vs. Blue work has temporarily taken a back seat to my Batman works. You can credit this to a Halloween special involving Batman fighting Dracula and the Joker getting temporarily turned into a vampire, which inspired a delightfully disturbing scene in a blood bank. Anyway, for those of you who liked my RvB stuff, fear not! More of the fanfiction will be written when the handwritten parts I already have get typed up and posted. As for you guys who love Batman, I've got a lot of fun new stuff in store for you. I've also fallen back on my Epidemic stuff a bit, but not enough to get me off track with my Batman Fanfiction.

Oh, yeah, did I forget to mention that? As usual, I feel the need to make my own additions to an already brilliant story line, so... yeah, adding my own supervillains... great stuff. I'm planning on keeping it relatively short so I can reach an ending and develop more short plots as needed. The fanfic, called "Precious" for reasons discussed in the plotline, is only going to be a total of two or three parts tops.

I got a lot of stuff to post today, including some Nightshades, with you may recall from my Bleach NG fanfic, but I also use them in my books that I'm writing from my own ideas. The Warlock Trilogy will contain three stories of an average-teen-gone-magical in a modern fantasy demon-hunting adventure. The books will be entitled (in this order) Curse the Darkness, Deadly Nightshade, and Nitro Glycerine. I'm posting a picture of the main cast and the lead baddie from the second and third books.

Alrighty, about v6... v5 was WAY more conveinient, but you know what? I'll get used to this. I really miss the old layout, but it's not that bad. I just have issues with change. I'll get over it. What I have a problem with is everyone else having such a big problem with it. It's still dA, you just have to figure it out and you'll be back in the swing of things in no time. I just know that I won't be submitting stuff until I've figured out everything. I don't know if they've changed how submissions work, but it's been a lot of new stuff to take in and I want a break.

By the way, if anyone wondered where I was over the past week, I was in Orlando, Florida, and for the first time in about... I dunno, 7 years, I went to DISNEY WORLD! I freaked out about everything. "OMG MICKEY! OMG JACK SPARROW! OMG TIMON! OMG CAPTAIN HOOK!" I'm a Disney geek. Anyway, I got a lesson in swordplay from Captain Sparrow, rode Space Mountain, watched stand-up comedy by Mike Wazowski, bought a stuffed Stitch toy, went to Villains in Vogue (a store with nothing but villain-based merchandise where I bought a postcard with all the Disney villains and a Kaa t-shirt), saw the famous Electrical Parade, met Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, got backstage passes to an imaginary Aerosmith concert on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and impressed a store clerk with my amazing Disney trivia knowledge. I also saw this AMAZING show called "Fantasmic". It had Jafar in it in snake form, as well as dragon Maleficent. The effects were amazing and I got to hear Jeremy Irons voice lines for Scar that were exclusive to Fantasmic. Almost all of the villains appeared in the show and they appeared to all have their lines done by the original voice actors except for Hades, which mildly pissed me off, but oh well. Disney World kicks ass.

Oooh, and I also went to Universal Studios (not nearly as childishness-evoking as Disney, but still wicked friggin' awesome) and went on the Dueling Dragons roller coaster in the front car... in the dark. That was mind-blowing. I also rode the Incredible Hulk roller coaster 7 times, got partially stuck on the Revenge of the Mummy coaster (scary! T-T ), almost met Brendan Fraser, and saw Spider-Man break dance. Good times, gooood times.

Oh! I was also in an elevator with Shaquille O'Neal. (Did I spell that right?) Yeah, the real, honest-to-God, I-swear-on-the-Holy-Bible Shaq. How cool is that?

Okay, since I haven't posted in a while, I'm just going to give some random updates about me and my loverly life.

SCHOOLZ OUT!!!!!!11!!!1!!! Now that it's summer, I can get some new stuff drawn and posted. Hopefully my Dad's scanner is working. Also, my good pal ~polasoda is going to come with me to Chicago this year! Whoop!

OSMOSIS JONES! In Biology class this year, we watched an old favorite movie of mine, and I rediscovered the obsession. I'm a Jones Junkie again! Yayz! Anyway, Thrax FTW. I joined a cool club for people who love Thrax and create their own viruses called ~the-epidemic. Check out Gene and Xelda! Perhaps I'll post my fanfic.

BLEACH! I intend to do a little work on my Bleach next-generation fanfiction. I love my Arrancar. At the end of this journal, I will run some hilarious dialogue from them.

I WROTE A BOOK, GUYS! I'm going to get some opinions on it before sending it out to get published, but I plan to post pictures of the characters. Gimme the head's up if you'd like to read it. I'm starting the sequel! The book is called CURSE THE DARKNESS and the sequels will be called DEADLY NIGHTSHADE and NITRO GLYCERINE. You'll see why eventually.

PANIC! AT THE DISCO'S NEW ALBUM! I bought it a while ago and I love it. Sounds like the Beatles, don't it?

DEMONATA! Just waitin' on Demon Apocalypse to come out. I'm an admin in my Demonata club, which is pretty cool.

Anyhoo. If you haven't read the books, you are not truly alive. And don't skip any-- I did once. One volume. I picked up the next one and I was like, "Whobaddie-wha? When the heck did THAT happen?!" I plan to go back and read the whole series now that I know all the secrets. Kinda like watching the Sixth Sense. It's a whole new experience, knowing what you know now but didn't know before. At the end of each book, I was like, "How does he come up with all of this?!?!" It's astonishing. The first book is slow, but put up with it--- it gets better.

Since I no longer have Cirque to read, I've started to read Mr. Shan's lesser known series entitled "The Demonata". "Lord Loss" is the first book in the series, and it's named for the villain. There's all sorts of secrets about this series that you delve into, and I swear, I just devour it. I'm in the process of--- you guessed it--- writing a super-happy-fun-fanfiction for it. Believe me, I'm not putting it out on the internet until I've adapted all of the Bleach references. Hahahaha, I'm probably not gonna put it out at all. It's stupid. I like it, but I don't want to get criticized for it's ridiculousness. Attack of the random plotline bunny, ne? Lawl.

New Club and Spirit Week

Yay! I found an awesome new club! They favorited my "Humanized Ryuk and Rem" pic, and I went to thank them, and fell head over heels in love. It's a club specifically geared toward Ryuk, who is just so darn cute. I love his personality. He's kind of childish and very dorky (in the good way). So, I decided to join ~EatThemApples, and I'm inspired to do more stuff with humanized Ryuk, including a doujinshi that I just planned out and have decided to name "Two Great Loves", a few other RyukxRem things, and a picture inspired by an apple pie and a conversation with :devdark-fox-angel:.

In other news, Spirit Week at school has finally come to an end, and we won our Homecoming game. The dance is tomorrow, and ~mytwistedalterego will arrive in the late afternoon to be my "date". (We're just friends, but if you wanna get technical, he's my date). Anyway, a recap of Spirit Week events:
~Monday/Pajama day- I wore my spiffy penguin pajamas! I was going to wear slippers, but it's EXTREMELY crowded in the halls, and if one fell off, I'd never get it back.
~Tuesday/Formal day- I just threw on an old dress from two years ago. I wore it to my middle school graduation.
~Wednesday/Fantasy character day- My favorite! I wore my Kira cosplay to school, and ~black-blaze-inferno was Misa. We got one picture, but it's not on a digital camera. We're not supposed to take photos at school.
~Thursday/School colors day- So much purple and white! I spray-painted my hair purple and wore my school t-shirt. We also had a pep rally on Thursday, but it was pretty boring.
~Friday/Celebrity day- Since I have the hair for it, I went as P!nk. My shirt said "Infamous Rock Star" in shiny pink letters, my hair was sprayed pink, and I wore these sleeves that made it look like I had tattoos. I had to make sure I got all the pink out of my hair before I went to the football game because I was performing with the drill team for the halftime show, and I went to ~black-blaze-inferno's house, so, weird as it was, I had to shower there. The performance went well, despite the rain, and we won our game. Yay!

An Update on My Life

Whoo!I haven't left a journal in a while. I'm gonna go to a Rennaissance Fair soon, which I can't WAIT for. I went shopping yesterday, since it was no-tax-weekend. I wrote part of my fanfiction for the Lion King and made a video of Fruits Basket. (Links later. Dinner now.)

New York! Holy Crap!

I went to New York City on vacation, guys! That's why I was off for four days. So, you guys get to read about it. Wheee! Right?

Day 1
Screw airplanes. They smell.
But getting picked up by a limosine was pretty cool. Especially since I got a coke. That was my ride to the hotel, a really nice Marriott Marquis place in the middle of Times Square. There were two musicals right nearby. One was the Drowsy Chaparone, which I never saw and don't know if I want to. That was connected to the hotel. The other was The Lion King across the street.
Anyway, we must've ridden that tour bus for three hours. It was cool, but a little too long for me to sit and listen to that boring guide drone on.
Then there was sight-seeing on Broadway and shopping at M&M World. That was pretty cool, too. There must've been enough M&Ms in that room to feed a third-world country. Wanna fight world hunger? Buy out M&M World.
Then it was back to the hotel. We watched TV and relaxed for a while before we went to see a broadway play.
After that, dinner. We ate at a pizza place, and I had a calzone.
FINALLY, we headed to the play, and I was thrilled. I love musicals, and we were going to see a childhood favorite of mine directly across from our hotel. That's right: The Lion King. That right there made my week. I love the Lion King, and if you thought the cartoon was awesome, you haven't lived untill you've seen it live. My favorite, of course, is Scar. He's such a smartass. It's impossible to out-awesome this guy. His actor was fantasmalistifabulous. His voice was so cool, and his costume rocked so hard. Scar was my first fangirlish idol, and seeing that rekindled old fandoms. Now, I MUST draw Scar. You'll see him in a few days.

Day 2
We took the tour of the NBC station and saw the recording of the Today Show. Hilary Duff was there. Blech. After that, there wasn't much else. Basically, we spent all of our time getting lost in and around Central Park. Apparently my lack of direction rubbed off on the folks a bit, particularly my dad. We rode bikes around the park, and it was exhausting. Then we took a boat tour in the evening.

Day 3
We drove to New Jersey and went to the beach. I got sunburned on the tops of my feet. Can you believe that? Oy... We ate seafood that night. The water was absolutely freezing, so I didn't go in. Found some cool shells, though. Yay!

Day 4
Finally, we got to sleep in. We ate donuts from street venders, which put even Krispy Kremes to shame. They were delicious! Then we headed to the Empire State building and went to the top, which took 2 hours because of the line, but nonetheless worth it. It was the most amazing view. Then we went on yet another bus tour to different districts this time. The guide was better, but that was still my least favorite part of the day other than the airplane ride home in the late evening.

Souveniers
I got a lot of shells from the beach, a popper thingy from the arcade at the beach, a NYC hat, a stuffed animal of Scar from the Lion King, a copy of the script of the Lion King sold by a street vender, and a giant fan from Chinatown.

Things I drew
I drew a lot on the airplane and in cars, so I have a lot of new stuff that I should put up soon. Scar (Lion King) as a human, Yachiru (Bleach) as an adult, some characters of mine being weird, and an anime mixer/ crack pairing of TobixYachiru. I probably will put up my characters for the sake of ~Celechan, my role-playing buddy.

Planned Works
I still need to draw a few loose requests. I'm just getting into drawing the Next Generation Bleach characters. I also intend to draw the LK's Scar and ink/color some various other things I have in my reserves.

He highly admires Itachi and is moderately close to Kaguya, but holds Sasuke and his children in extremely low esteem and fights with them a lot. Also, he has a thing for Gaara's daughter, Sunako. He is very powerful, but a slow learner, so he has a limited arsenal of justus but performs all of them masterfully. It takes him a long time to learn new ones. He once accidentally set Itachi's pants on fire while learning the Goukakyu jutsu, resulting in chaos. (His mother taped it and sent it to Noah, Sasuke's wife.) Tori-kun can also be dramatic and has a very bad temper.

Kisame's:

~Umimaru. "Umi" means the sea. Not much can be said for him. He's very grumpy, eats a lot, and is overprotective of his little sister. He is also very obnoxious, but a good fighter, so his team keeps him around. Umimaru is very lazy and would rather stuff his face or sleep than do work. Getting him out of bed is like pulling teeth.

~Kairi. Name means "Ocean". Kairi is bubbly and hyperactive. She's the optimism of the "Chibitsuki", as they call themselves. Kairi is very charming and cute, but can get annoying or overbearing at times. She is, in contrast to her elder brother, a morning person. (Ugh...) She's also very pretty and very powerful, though she doesn't look or act it. She has amazing stealth abilities, and will pop out from behind people when least expected. No one quite knows how she does it. She has a tendency to startle people when she does that.

Deidara's:

~Suri. With her brother's name attached, her name means "stained glass". Suri is one of Deidara's fraternal twins who is clinically bi-polar. Her language is "colorful" and her moods are unpredictable, but mainly, she's always angry. Suri is very violent and irritable. Like her father, she is very artistically inclined. She manipulates glass instead of clay, though, so her art can be much more dangerous when it explodes because of sharp glass fragments. She claims to hate everything.

~Garasu. When connected to his sister's name, "stained glass". Garasu is the yin to his sister's yang. He comes off as completely emotionless and a little oblivious. He is a very strange and mysterious person of few words who manipulates clay in the form of beads on a beaded necklace that he wears around his neck, which he can control the length of. He also inherited his father's bizarre speech habit of saying "yeah" or "un" at the end of most sentences. Garasu is, however, extremely intelligent.

Sasori's:

~Kaiba. (concieved before his death, but born after) Her name means "seahorse", which Sasori chose off the top of his head. She has the same puppet-like body as her father and can detatch her various joints from one another, shooting them for long distances on chains, chords, or polls, which she can rotate into the joints within her limbs at will. She also has the same possesion puppet technique as her father and her mother's kekkei genkai of being able to eavesdrop long distances, which is great for espionage. Kaiba is very sensible and level-headed, as well as mellow and laid-back. She is very compassionate and merciful towards enemies at times, which is probably her weakness, but if that kindness is betrayed, she is also very vindictive. She hates liars and betrayers and will make them suffer as much as possible.

~None. I left him dead. I resurrect a lot of people from the dead for fanfictions, but I didn't bring Kakuzu back. I wanted to, but I needed the space in the Akatsuki.

Holy crap, club! I'm in it! I'm also in the Sound Nin fanclub, but I can't re-find the profile to get the icon.

Aaaaaaaaaaanyway, I have one more Naruto Culture Shock on the way, followed by Gender Benders! (Which are not Sexy no Justu related at all. They all wear clothes.)

Me and a friend are writing a fanfiction of Naruto entitled "Random Crap". I thought I'd run off a dialogue I spontaneously came up with for that. Chopper is me, and Ash is my friend. Ash hugs everyone, so Itachi thinks she's a skanky prostitute, and Kisame doesn't trust her at all. We hang around the Akatsuki here.

(Ash is death-glomping Sasori. Itachi comes in, cocking an eyebrow. Chopper and Kisame follow.)
Ash: Hi, Itachi!
Sasori: HELP!
Itachi:... You whore!
Ash: Aw, come on! It's not like I was banging him!
Kisame: *points at Ash* YOU LIE!
Chopper: Kisame, would you stop doing that?!
Hidan: *pops in from nowhere, thinking he is "gangsta"* That's wiggity-wiggity-whack!
Chopper: Wiggity-waggity-what?
Hidan: Word.
Sasori: *passes out from lack of air*
Kisame: Is he dead?
Itachi: Let's see. *kicks Sasori*
Sasori: *groans*
Itachi: No, he's alive.
Chopper: Ash, you shouldn't hug so tightly.
Itachi: It makes you seem like a whore.
Chopper: Stop putting words in my mouth! I just don't want her to kill anyone.
Ash: I was just trying to be nice.
Kisame: *points at Ash* YOU LIE!
Chopper: CUT THAT OUT BEFORE I KICK YOU!

Yep. Hidan thinks he's Snoop Dog. Next time, I'll run part of my own fanfiction, "Kindred Spirits", most likely the story that goes along with my picture "Hat."
