I don't want to give any information since I don't want to disappoint people if it doesn't work out but rest assured we are working on it. One thing I can confirm though is that Saphire has 2 chapters from Vol 10 of Hellsing scanslated and ready for release. Seriously, what the hell is Rockstar thinking? The game is set in Brazil for the love of berrettas. What kind of idiot would set a film noir game in Brazil? Hell, are they even planning to make this game a film noir at all?

And what exactly is the reason for the huge character change anyhow. Because his girlfriend got killed? He didn't even undergo that much of a character change when his whole family was slaughtered and betrayed by his friends, why would one chick dying turn him into post-daughter-death Sam Fisher? (Don't even get me started on later Splinter Cell games.) To top it all off they even changed his voice actor. Ugh.

So, fuck you, Rockstar. Fuck you.

--------------------

Anyway, happier news, it was my birthday couple of days ago. Woo! Apparently the webhost thinks we are violating some rule about using the server as a file backup server and not as a website, which isn't really true since we have the forum (though it did have a crapload of scanlation and other files so they do somewhat have a point). But, anyway, that's what they think and it seems like they closed the account so now we have no host.

Saphire says he does have a backup of the forum so once we find a new host it should be back soon-ish. I mean, the have the bloody Pandora battery, so that's good, but for some reason I can't seem to create a frigging magic memory stick that works properly. So apparently, it's cause you can't do it on Vista, so I switch back to my old XP laptop, but still no cigar. Maybe it's cause I still have SP1 installed, but then when I try to install SP2 it crashes my laptop. I can't be bothered to backup and reformat a machine I hardly use anymore just so I can patch Microsoft's buggy little OS, so meh.

Why is it so hard to downgrade a PSP?
...aka more rants that no one reads, but I like updating my dA journal anyway.

So, yeah, as most of you would probably know I study in the UK. So, for a few hours I have been searching for an online store that sells Japanese import games and ships in the UK. I found a few websites like play-asia, but they don't ship to Europe at all.

The reason for this appears to be when Sony screwed all their European fans and decided to persecute a company that imported Japanese PSP to Europe back when it was first released (the European release I believe was around almost a year later) for everything they own, causing pretty much all stores to stop shipping to the UK and the rest of Europe, which makes my life a lot more difficult.

The thing is that, some of the top executives of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe actually ordered from the company to get Jap PSPs before the European release date. How hypocritical can you get?

But all is not lost! I actually found a couple of websites that still import to the UK! Unluckily, they don't seem to have what I want (Japanese Guilty Gear Judgment for the PSP), so I placed a request at one of them. I then went on to check out the games they do have and check out what I found!
I really want that Japanese Guilty Gear Judgment though (for some reason the English version comes with #Reload and the Japanese come with Slash WTF? I want Slash!). If any of you guys know a good website that ships to the EU do tell me!

Okay, let's face it. Most of my watchers watch me for my Hellsing wallpapers. I doubt many of you found me through my Buddy Satan stuff or the Definitive Gothic Novel, so most of you will therefore be Hellsing fans, which makes it entirely appropriate for me to post this here. Really.

So, I did some proof-reading for a new translation group, HiranoMOE, which is basically Saphire Diablo and Aurian (if you used to be on the THP forum you'd probably remember them). We just did the trans for Chapter 89, so I'd like to plug it here!

[link]

^ That's the link. Hope you guys enjoy it. If Hellsing is available in your area in print, don't forget to support the manga industry and buy it!

In other news, I just started a new Hellsing wallpaper. Should be done it hopefully a few days. Sorry for the long wait between each one. I'd like to get more free time, I really do.

College is starting on 3rd of January. 3rd of January! That means I have to fly back on the 2nd. That's one day after the new year! This sucks, hence the journal title.

Okay, I know there were a few requests pending for the Hellsing wallpaper. Unfortunately, at this rate, I won't be able to do them and still do the ones I want. So I'd have to cancel it. Sorry, guys. There are still some characters I haven't done, and a few that I'd like to redo (take Anderson, for example. He's my fav character and the only wallie I've done of him is rubbish!).

Well, that's it, I think. Merry Christmas! Or Capitalistmas, as I'd call it. Give to your favourite charity. Buy your loved ones presents. Or just go spend time with them or something. That'd make them happy, and happy people helps further the cause of Capitalism!

Just a general updates on things.

First off, Happy early Capitalistmas! I'm sure most of you would have already participated in furthering the cause of Capitalism this holiday seasons already. Why not grab my new wallpaper, set it as your wallpaper to help advertise my satanic cause, eh?

I've been posting a couple of new chapters for the second part of the Definitive Gothic Novel. Check it out in my scraps if you're interested. I'll try to post more chapters soon once I've written them.

*I just looked at the old chapters in my scraps, and noticed that the penultimate chapter to the first part got 1 view, when the last chapter got 4 views. What the hell? People actually skip to the ending without reading the rest? If you're one of those people, there's something wrong with you.*

I've had a few inquiries about the general lack of Hellsing wallpaper lately. Well, apart from the fact that I've been pretty busy with college lately, I also have no Photoshop for my new computer. When I get it installed hopefully we'll have more wallpapers coming after the new year.

With the minuscule amount of free time I've had, I've been lately playing Guilty Gear and Guitar Hero 3. I suck at the latter. Actually, I suck at both, but Guitar Hero has a better way of rubbing your failure in your face. Finally managed to beat Miss Murder on Hard yesterday, a surprisingly tricky song. I really dislike AFI's new album though. I wish they had included a song from Black Sails in the Sunset instead. AFI at their best.

Also, I found this the other day. [link] Hilarious Christian review of Guilty Gear. The guy is surprisingly knowledgeable about the series. Check out their other reviews as well, though it's a bit outdated. The game with the lowest "Christian score" I think was Diablo 2. I wonder why.

Finally, I have a programming test again tomorrow which I will blatantly fail. I'm getting on a flight home in 2 days and I haven't even started packing yet. God dammit!

This is me writing a journal instead of doing some real CGing. What can I say, I'm bored and lazy. I might colour that Seras pic I've been procrastinating for ages... later.

I can't remember who it was that recommended I get Guilty Gear XX #Reload (pronounced sharp reload, apparently) for the PC cause it has been a while, but I finally got around to buying it (it was the last copy on [link] as well. Go me!) and it kinda rocks. Yeah, it really does, seeing I've been wasting most of the last 2 weeks playing it.

You gotta love the character designs, and the Rock/Metal references. Although, whoever was Bridget's character designer had done wrong. You did wrong, character designer!

So, yes, apart from that I've been playing Super Paper Mario. And it's not just any Super Paper Mario, it's the special-edition EU Glitch version of Super Paper Mario, complete with fatal glitch that crash your Wii! I mean, seeing we got a ridiculously later release date than the Americas, you'd think Nintendo would include some cool extras or something, not a glitch.

I've also just pre-ordered a copy of Guitar Hero III. And it's not just any Guitar Hero III either, it's the special Wii Glitch version of Guitar Hero III, complete with mono sound support, but not stereo or Dolby. Yes, you heard that right, it's a game released in 2007 that is mono only. I don't care too much, seeing I use crappy laptop speakers and screen to play my Wii anyhow, but I can imagine a lot of pissed off people with home theatres, but then they would probably own a PS3 or something. Oh, well, the PS3-ers get a shitty wireless guitar, so I guess it balance out.

I swear it's a conspiracy.

On another note, it appears Guilty Gear XX ^ Core (pronounced accent core, apparently) is coming out for the Wii in Febuary in the EU. Wiiii!!!!

If ekibohc is reading, the free sketch you claimed from the last journal hasn't been started yet. Sorry about that. Maybe if I'm free tomorrow.

So there's is this Catholic church on the way from college back to hall which I pass almost everyday. The thing is that there is a statue of Jesus nailed on a cross, something which Papists seem to enjoy putting up or hanging around their neck. But, you see, this one is different. This particular Jesus has only one arm. Yeah, I know, weird, right? I must have missed the part in the Bible when it said Jesus had one arm. And how the hell does he manage to stay up on the cross with only one hand nailed to it anyway? It's impressive stuff.

Even stranger still, a week ago Jesus disappeared from the cross. Now there's just a cross left, no Jesus.

I was seriously hoping Jesus would return 3 days later, because, you know, that would be cool and prophecy-fulfilling. But, alas, it has been one week and one-armed Jesus still has not returned. My life feels so empty without Jesus. I hope he returns soon, but I have this feeling he might return with 2 arms rather than one, which would just make him another generic two-armed Jesus. Maybe they will hear my plea and add 3 more arms to Jesus, which will make him a super-cool four-armed Jesus. They will also have to redesign the cross so it looks like this.

[link]

Now that would be cool.

And, remember kids, always check if your clothes can be tumbled-dry. I learned the hard way couple of days ago.

This is a rant journal which no one will probably gets, but I just wanna get it out of my chest anyway. You could stop reading now. Or don't be like "lol WTF Chrono no one cares".

If that hasn't scared you away already, well, read on.

Yesterday was a sad day indeed for me and scores of people all over the Interweb. If you have been watching me for a while and have actually read the entirety of my journal, you will have realised that the band will crops up most often on my "Listening to:" slot is Hell is for Heroes. If you have, you might have asked yourself "Who the diddly are Hell is for Heroes?" but have been ever so polite and considerate not to ask. Or more likely you probably hadn't given a damn.

Yesterday, Hell is for Heroes announced that they were going to split, and is currently doing their last tour. You could imagine my reaction to the news that one of, if not my most, favourite band ever would be breaking up. The prospect of a life where I will be no longer hearing new releases from HIFH is difficult to imagine.

I first discovered HIFH in about 2003, back in my nu metal and pop punk phase, on a random channel surf through the rubbish selection of Thai music channels, which then included MTV, V-Channel and VH1. On MTV, I completely by chance came across the music video of "Night Vision". [link] The song instantly caught my attention and I quickly scribbled the band and album name on a piece of paper. "Hell is for Heroes, The Neon Handshake."

I went to a record shop and purchased myself a nice, spanking new copy of the Neon Handshake, HIFH's debut album. I put it on and changed the song to Night Vision. After a couple of listen, I skipped back to the first track and listened through the whole album once, got bored and put Hybrid Theory back in the CD player. TNH was left untouched in my CD drawer for over a month.

Some time later, I dug through my CD collection, found TNH and decided to give it another go. After the album finished, I played the whole thing again. After the second listen, I sat back and said to myself, "Holy shit this is really good!"

It didn't take long to find out that while Night Vision was a great song to have as a "bait single" to lure in potential buyers due to its catchiness, it was dwarfed by the rest of the album. Songs like I Can Climb Mountains and You Drove Me To It were the real highlights. I fell in love with HIFH's raw and honest post-hardcore style, defined by sharp, catchy guitar riffs, a powerful and intense vocal, tight structure and lyrics which I somehow really could identify with. TNH won a place in my heart and in my playlist. I can honesty say that it was such bands as HIFH and Radiohead, both of which I discovered around that time, that shaped my musical taste today.

It is kinda weird to say that, as most people would credit well known bands for influencing their music taste, while one of my two most influential bands is pretty much almost unknown, even in the post-hardcore scene.

Around 2005, I noticed that I have been listening to TNH for about 2 years now, and nothing new seem to have come out from HIFH yet. I decided to look it up on the internet. That was when I learned the full story of HIFH.

They were formed around 2000, consisting of 5 members from London. They quickly gained reputation for playing great live gigs and two of the members already previously enjoyed some fame when they were in another band, Symposium. They were picked up by EMI and put under charge under one of EMI's branch, Chrysalis. Chrysalis very cleverly decided not to release an album straight away but got the band to tour like dogs while releasing great quality singles, which built up the HIFH name and the anticipation for their album, which was finally released in 2003. It obviously got an international release, due to the fact I managed to pick up a copy in Thailand. They apparently got some fame in Japan as well. As a matter of fact, Night Vision hit top 50 in the UK chart. So they're not quite as unknown as I had originally thought.

After the Neon Handshake, Chrysalis was dissolved and HIFH was moved to another sub-label. They had a fallout with the new producer as he didn't like their new album, so HIFH left. They then released their new album, Transmit Disrupt, on an independent label. As a matter of fact, at the time I looked this up, it was one week after the release. I went to the nearest HMV to pick up a copy right away (I was in the UK at that time). It was a good record, but nowhere on the level of TNH. It showed a sign of maturity, but there was nothing like Night Vision to lure in ignorant nu-metal-listening 13 year olds like I had been at the time when I first had my sonic baptism. You can tell from their new single Kamichi. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Hello there, my scarce number of journal readers. So, as some of you might already know, I've just started uni. So I got this nice new Toshiba laptop which of course comes bundled with Windows Vista which I can take to lectures and stuff, so I've been spending the better part of the last few days downloading various programmes for it.

After getting openCanvas and installing the driver for my tablet, I thought I would deflower the laptop's art virginity, if you will excuse the expression, by drawing some stuff. It was going rather well, until I tried to save and openCanvas crashed. Damn you, Vista.

Tragedies aside, you guys must have watched either the movie or the cartoon series "Madeline" (spl?), oui? Yeah, you know, the one with the train of schoolgirls dressed in straw hats walking about all over the place. Well, I thought those kinds of things only exist in a perfect universe where Madeline obviously takes place in, but I was wrong, seeing I just saw a bunch of them crossing the street this morning, complete with the straw hats and everything. I would show you guys some photographic evidences, but, alas, I do not live in a perfect world where a grown male adult can simply go around taking pictures of little girls without being dumb tackled to the ground and handed to the police.

Radiohead is releasing their new album on the 10th. Good news.

So, yes, I almost forgot about it but I started a poll last month (see previous journal for details) and, while I can't be bothered to checked, I'm pretty sure option i) won by a landslide. So, I'm taking donations of small babies at this addre... *gets shot*

EDIT: The openCanvas official site says openCanvas doesn't currently support Vista, but should still work fine. Don't believe their lies. oC works alright, it just doesn't save.
Anyway, exams are finished. Woot! If I didn't bugger up my last exam I would be infinitely much happier.

Just got my copy of Robots Vol.1 today. For those who don't know, it's a collection of one-shots from artists like Range Murata and others. It even has one from Sho-u Tajima, whom I'm a massive fan of. So I'm rather happier than yesterday.

I wish I was a bed. >_<
Next Hellsing wallpaper will be from Dawn. You could probably guess who it's gonna be.
I'll start uploading Gothic Novel part 2 once I've done a few chapters.
Teh Extended Journal:

My last week at school, ever! I don't have a clue how I'm supposed to clear my room to leave though. If you see my room you'll understand why.

Looking through my own gallery, I realised that most of my art sucks. Apart from the the Hellsing wallpapers, there's not even 3 pictures which I would dare put in a portfollio. Sad, but true.

In other news, next Hellsing wallpaper will be starting after I finish my last exam on the 21th. So will the continuation of my novel for those nice people who actually read it.

Today we just recieved the grades for our January exam modules, so I thought this might be a good time to update my journals. So Maths went alright, Economics was OK and Physics was a complete disaster. Imagine the 2004 Tsunami, but with exam results.

So I've had my Wii for a week now and I'm loving it. If only the damn Wiimotes weren't so expensive I'd buy a couple more.

Let's see. What's next. Oh, yes, I bought NHK ni Youkoso, volume 1 and 2. So I got it and opened the first volume, and I was impressed. Colour pages and cultural notes in the back. Then I got to vol. 2 and I was like, WTF? No colour pages. F*** you, Tokyopop. I forgave you for not printing colour pages in Chobits, because at least my Thai copies have colour pages. The Thai translation for NHK, on the other hand, sucks balls, so I was hoping Tokyopop would do decent ones. So the translations were OK, but then they went and gave me false hopes for the first one then knocked it down in the second.

Just got the box set for GITS:SAC 2nd Gig and NGE at the same time. Now I don't know what to start first.

On another note, this website [link] is great. Go check it out if you don't already know it.

Post Script: Oh, yes. RM (that's our internet provider) has gone on another filtering rampage. Now Imageshack, PhotoBucket, BigLobe (that's the domain Solid&Etc. is hosted on), Infoseek (loads of good Jap art sites are hosted on this), etc. are all filtered. Some of you might remember that a while ago they filtered deviantArt as well, and imageShack and PhotoBucket has been filtered before (but taken off after the idiots at RM realised what a bunch of hopeless retards they are) but it seems they have done it again. The chances are that dA might get filtered soon, so yeah, if I disappear you know what happened.

- The sound the Jackel makes. In the TV series, it sounds like a normal gun. In the OVA, the sound it makes when cocking, the way the cartrage falls. It's like a bloody cannon.
- The ending sequence. I like it.

The Bad:

- Luke didn't use his new weapon (omitted to prevent spoiler) against Alucard. A shame.
- Not enough Maxwell. Just a glimpse at the end. The world needs more Maxwell.

The Ugly:

I'm going back to school next week. (AKA: Back to internet with more filtering than the Great Firewall of China.) Bad news for me. Good news for you guys. (More Hellsing wallies)

Be expecting:
I just noticed it when I posted my new deviation. Most of the time, anything I do apart from Hellsing fanarts go pretty much ignored. After I posted it, I got 1 view from myself. That's normal.

Then i clicked on the link again, to see how my shit is doing. 2 views. Cool. Someone looked at it, I thought.

Then again, I clicked on it. 3 pageviews. Now that's not normal. I never get more than 2 pageviews in half an hour.

Click on it again. 4 views. One more time just to make sure. 5 views. Great.

So now my new pic has 5 views, all made by myself. It's rather irritating and sad at the same time.

Because Tokyopop has licensed NHK ni Youkoso, the good translator has stopped translating the chapters. Now I have to go download more chapters from Evil Genius. You know a man is desparate when he has to resort to reading Evil Genius' scans. And knowing Tokyopop, they probably won't be printing the colour pages, and the translation will be plagued with otaku-ligo. God damn them all. I'll probably buy it anyway.

Also, it's an anime now. Why didn't anyone tell me about this before? Now I'm downloading the chapters from BT. Hopefully that won't get licensed too. (At least not anytime soon.) Woo! NHK ni Youkoso anime. I wonder if they air it on NHK in Japan...

Why the hell do I like retro games so much? Probably because I never got into gaming until around '97, so I totally missed the period when retro arcade stuff were in the hip, so me being obsessed with it now is like a kind of compensation for my lost childhood. A bit like Michael Jackson, but with videogames, rather than young boys.

So anyway, you're probably rather confused as to what I'm getting at. Not much really, except I think everyone should play this. [link] (Scroll down and find Grid Wars.) It has been taking up most of my free time lately. I mean, it's a great game, and it's free. There's no excuse not to play it. At all.
The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly.
1. During exam season, I sleep by day and revise by night.
2. Me likes violent movies, but can't stand real violence.

So, that explain the lack of new stuff.

Anyway, off-topic-ally, the new Smash Bros. will include Solid Snake. I mean, WTF? I'm definitely getting the Wii now.

And they said they'll be cutting some characters from Melee. Let's hope they don't cut Mr. Game and Watch. I wouldn't mind if they cut Pichu and Young Link though. They're pretty useless, really.

And let's hope they listen to the fans and include Mr. Miyamoto as a playable character.

EDIT: And so my first day of real exam has finished and I am now half way through my academic failage. The next exam day will be on the ninth. Of course, if you flip the 9 over you get another 666. The examiners are so satanic it's not even funny anymore. After the ninth, expect to see more crap art from me.
EDIT: Exam is officially over. SING AND REJOICE, motherf*****s! Woot!

So I've watched the Hellsing OVA! Okay, so I watched it a few days ago, but I'm still excited about it.

Much more improved from the TV series, obviously.

Points of coolness...

- Ceras has yellow uniform! Yay! And the morphing eyes.
- Alucard fight with Anderson is more than cool.
- Ending song - amazing.

Disappointment...

- Anderson has a new voice actor. He's good, but still not quite the same as Nachi Nozowa.
- Story a bit rushed. I guessed they have a lot of things to cram into the first episode. Hopefully in the next ones they can use the time to develop the atmosphere more.

Anyway. It is still one of the coolest thing I've watched for a while.

Random link, again: [link] (Cool webcomic)

MINOR EDIT: Just to say that I'm currently very busy. 2 DT projects dued by the end of this term. Physics practical exam and economics mock exam next week. Not to mention some work I have to catch up in Maths. TT_TT Don't be surprised if updates are late. (But they're generally late anyway so you probably won't notice.)

EDIT AGAIN: If you follow my series of Hellsing coloured wallpaper, I just want to say these are what you can be expecting next.

- Captain
- A fight scene
- Young Vlad

In that order. And just in case, no more requests, please. I'm busy enough as I am. ^.^'

This is for the benefits of my friends on dA in my school only, but even if you're not in my school, I ask for your help so please read on.

EDIT: Sorry. Apparantly this doesn't work on other computers. Just ignore the help request.

Anyway, some of you will have noticed that once you press the submit button and then deviation, the whole page get filtered now. This means you can't even use the old trick (submit to scraps then move to deviation) anymore. So, being the nice person that I am, I found another bypass. Basically, follow these links if you want to submit.

[link] - Digital Art
[link] - Traditional Art

And you have bypassed the submit deviation main screen. I only have the code (the numbers at the end) for Digital and Traditional at the moment, but I'm looking for other ones.

Now for the favour. If you are not at my school, can you please help me to find the code for the following catagories -

Photography
Prose
Poetry

Just go to submit > deviation > *insert catagory here* , copy the address bar and reply to this journal. Your help is much appreciated.
