After some deliberation and facing an empty wallet, its time for me to open my services to the public. I am available to take THREE, that is THREE commissions from anyone who wants a short story written by me. My prices are listed below.

2,000 word limit = Ten dollars US

3,000 word limit = Fifteen dollars US

4,000 word limit = Twenty dollars US

There are some guidelines I will set down. First off, I will need a DETAILED description of what you want. You can't say "I want a girl growing fatter than anyone in the world" and expect me to go with it. I need to know who this girl is, what does she look like (before and after her transformation), what is she like in life, does she have friends or a BF, etc. The more details you offer in this short story, the better it will become. If you can offer photo references, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is a list of what I will do (can be a mixture of any of the following):

Female muscle growth

Giantess growth

Breast Expansion

Butt Expansion

Belly Expansion

Inflation

Berry expansion (from normal girl to giant blue berry girl)

Weight gain

Shrinking

Lactation

Nudity

Mild sexual situation (I can go hardcore but I doubt it will be posted on DA)

And here is what I won't do

Age Progression or Regression

Pregger

Vore

Rape

Gross acts

Male transformation

There are other limits I might have missed, so note me with what you have in mind and we will go from there. Have a backup idea or two just in case one idea won't fly.

If you are interested in a commission from me or have questions, send me a note with the title "Short Story Commission" and I will get back to you. Once all three slots are full, I will not take anymore until the three orders are finished. You can also post questions on this journal. But if you want a commission, send me a note marked "Short Story Commission".

Thanks for your time.

Chwen

I have been giving this some serious thought and have decided to offer my writing services to those who want a short story. But before I jump head first into this, I have some questions to ask you folks. Mostly price wise:

1) For the price, how do you feel about one dollar for one hundred words? Basically, if your short story runs about 3,000 words, you pay only 30 bucks.

2) Would you prefer a flat rate like between 10-20 dollars?

3) If the latter, how do you feel about paying one part right away and the rest once the story is finished?

I will have some rules and guidelines to follow for the commissions. I have limits to what I will write. Let me know what you think of the prices.

Chwen

Update:

With lack of cash as of late, I am seriously considering doing short stories for commissions. But I would like some advice on price range. Hoping to go see family later this week. Wasn't able to due to weather conditions.
Wanted to update my journal. My last one was made at a moment where I was not in a pleasant mood. I'm feeling better now. Unemployed but feeling better. Job hunt is going well, got some leads here and there. Just hope I can get a job soon before I end up cleaning out my checking account. Unemployment isn't helping me out at all. Daying I need to make X amount of hours to get money. Which is bullshit imo since they told me when I came in I might be making some X amount once the papers clear. And people wonder why common folks turn to guns and crime.

Anywho, better explain the title of my journal. My dad recently retired and finally broke down and purchased a flat screen HD TV. It looks amazing, the sheer size of it alone makes me giddy. The HD quality is mind blowing, so crystal clear than normal channels. But there is a catch 21 on this. With HD, you can see everything.... I mean everything! I turned on a movie channel that had Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler. With the HD quality, I could count the facial hairs, scars, bumps, and wrinkles on his face. O_O People you think that look so beautiful turn out a whole lot different in HD.

I'm afraid to see what women like Jessica Biel look in HD. Do I dare see the truth?! I have seen the future and its both crystal clear and pretty frightening.

Chwen

This is a major rant. I need to get this off my chest. Lots of "bad words" so close your eyes and ears, kiddies.

I got home early from work today and not for a good reason. My new manager told me that I violated store policies without knowing it. They caught it on store camera. He said until further notice, I'm on indefinite suspension. Which can mean two things, a) I'm fired or, b) I'm temporary out of work until such time.

I can't be out of work. I've got bills to pay and the job market sucks as it is. I've gotta call my union and see what I can do about this. If that falls out, I'll have to contact unemployment but I dunno if they will help me since I work part-time (the only thing I could get when I got hired on). The worst part of this is that there are other workers at my job who are terrible and yet they get away with shit. I've got a co-worker who "suffers" from ADHD. He slacks off at any chance he gets and no one raises a finger to him. I get overworked from school and other things in life, make a few mistakes, and get slapped down.

I feel like shit. I wanna cry or beat the shit out of someone. I fucking hate my new boss and I hate the fact that this is days before my birthday.

I'm so sick of apologizing to people when they are at fault and not me. I'm sick of being the victim of fucking faggots who got lucky in life while others work their asses off and get nothing. I'm fucking sick of having to hear the excuse "That's life". When people suffer ten times worse than me, do they say "oh well, that's life"?

Every time I deal with bad shit like this... I wanna put a bullet into the brains of every fucking parent who wouldn't get off their ass to properly raise their kids or give them proper love and attention. I wanna set on fire every home of greedy, too well-off people who think they are better than us with them trapped inside.

I wanna taste blood.

My birthday is coming up in October on the 13th. How old am I? Old enough to know that I should have picked my college courses more carefully. So far, I am trying to stay above water in my college classes. Especially my Geometry course. Flunked the last exam and doing my best not to tank the next one coming up soon. I'm slowly learning this stuff but retaining it is another story. I did have a quiz and a test for Biology and did much better than expected. I'm hoping the rest of this semester goes more smoothly.

Been so busy, I barely noticed Monsters vs Aliens came out on DVD and Blu Ray. Thinking of getting that for my birthday. Would like to get the Blu Ray version but need a flat screen and Blu Ray player for that. Perhaps I'll get those for X-mas.

It's getting colder where I'm at. So I need to look into a humidifier for my bedroom. My last one died out on me. I use it to keep the air moist so not to get a sore throat. Had a small one during my head cold previously but it didn't last long.

Would like to get some more commissions done as well as stories written. But with work and school taking up all my time, its not easy to sit down and write. Money is pretty tight with the lack of good hours. So I hope that things will pick up soon.

At midnight tonight, we enter October and soon all the creatures of the night will start to come out. I like this holiday, maybe during some slow points between tests and work my creative juices will begin to flow again.

Chwen

But with my work load, I think its debatable.

So what's new with me? I've been back to college for two weeks now (week three starts this Monday) while balancing my part-time job. The hardest subject for me this semester is Geometry. I hope to pass this class with a decent grade but I'm pretty sure a lot of my fellow classmates feel the same way.

The last few movies I've seen were GI Joe and Inglorious Basterds. The former was ok, but you are not expecting much from a film based off a cartoon based off a toyline. Basterds was very good, more of a drama than an action flick but its vintage QT. I want to see District 9 before it leaves theaters. That looks awesome.

Project wise, I am still working on the Jekyll & Hyde story. It's gonna take some time to get it done with work and school keeping me busy. I will try to get it done as soon as possible, but I can't say when it will be done. I'll keep you folks posted on that. I do have a commission or two in the works. Those should appear eventually.

So, how was your summer vacation?

Chwen

Sorry for not replying since May. Been busy with so many things. A lot has happened this week. Some of them almost slipped under my radar.

First off, we lost a good number of people this week. Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett left us, but the death of the King of Pop was the most shocking. Lot of folks are talking about him. Not sure what to say about him except that I hope his legacy in music will outlast the tragic scandals in his life. One article suggested that it might have been better if he had passed away sooner so the madness that dogged his life would not have hurt his image so much. I'll let you folks decide on that. [link]

I did catch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen yesterday. It was a pretty good movie all in all. Not the best but a good popcorn movie. It's one flaw in my book was that there were too many robots to go around and not enough time to give them proper screen time. Arcee and her posse are a good example. btw, after looking at Skids and Mudflap I never knew Cybertron had inbreeding circles. Talk about fugly robots.

On a final and more upbeat note. I just learned about this a few minutes ago. Japan has built a life-size (I repeat, LIFE SIZE) Gundam to celebrate its 30th anniversary. [link] That is FUCKING AWESOME SAUCE!!! If this thing actually worked like the real deal, the world at large would be fucked. No way the US could make something like that. Hell, we can barely make a decent car worth a fuck. I like to see the boys in Iraq, Iran, or North Korea top this.

Chwen.

I will still be working at my job but enough to keep a healthy checkbook but not too much so I put off my projects. I am serious on writing again, especially on Helen Jekyll and her full figured alter ego Elizabeth Hyde.

Movie wise, I plan to see Wolverine this week. Wasn't sure on seeing it due to the negative reviews. But I have seen Star Trek twice. Abrams knocks it out of the park and so does the stellar cast. I like to see Terminator Salvation this weekend as well. I have been getting requests from DA members on making my commissioned artwork available as a print. I can't do that for the Totally Spies pin ups but the other ladies in my gallery are up for grabs. Should I allow them to be made into prints? Is it worth doing? Please offer your comments and advice on this. Hope to hear from you folks real soon.

Chwen

Got a chance to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3D yesterday. Before I go any further, let me state the following. If your theater is playing Monsters vs Aliens in 3D, SEE IT NOW! The 3D technology has improved greatly from the old school red & blue glasses. Items didn't just jump out in front of you when you watch the movie. The movie has depth to it. People and places appear near and far like in real life. It's almost like you are part of the show. Even the kids seeing the movie were blown away by the sights. Same goes for the adults.

The story was pretty fun. Not as ground breaking like past animated movies but still worth watching. It has its laugh out loud moments and the action is sweet. The monsters are a treat, from Ginormica (Reese Witherspoon is so sweet in this role) to B.O.B (Seth Rogen plays him perfectly) to the Missing Link (poppa may be out of shape but Will Arnett pulls it off) and even Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D. (I will never see Hugh Laurie play House without thinking of him doing an evil laugh from time to time). I even enjoyed General W.R. Monger being played by Kiefer Sutherland and the gigantic but cuddly Insectosaurus (voiced by Conrad Vernon, but he only speaks in monster growls). My one beef is Stephen Colbert as President Hathaway. The words Stephen Colbert and President of the United States makes me wanna run screaming into the night. But he does play the idiot in chief role very well.

I plan to see this movie again sometime soon before it leaves theaters or before the 3D offer runs out. I hope they are able to keep the same 3D FX used in the film for when they put it out on DVD and Blu Ray. Seeing it only in 2D would not do it justice.

I wonder if they plan to do a sequel? If so, what other 50s monsters would they bring in? Something to discuss over.

Chwen Hoou

I saw the Watchmen movie on Friday. Would've posted a review sooner but was pretty busy over the weekend. First off, the movie turned out pretty good. On a scale of comic book faithfulness, I would have to say it was roughly 85% accurate. Would have been more but you can only cram so much in 2 and 1/2 hours. I'm hoping they will show more in the extended DVD. I heard a rumor that if the movie does well, they will release a longer version of Watchmen along with portions of the animated Tales of the Black Freighter comic in it as well. So far, its taken in over 50 million in America alone.

The movie was very graphic, both violently and sexually. I'm surprised the MPAA allowed us to see Dr. Manhattan's junk without their assholes puckering up tighter than a drum (also, I think his package was much larger than it was in the comic). Also, the ending is much different than from the comics. But I can understand why it was changed from Hollywood's POV. If they stuck with the original ending, they would have alienated the audience. All in all, this turned out to be closer to its source material then expected IMO.

One last note, I found this link to newgrounds.com on the net. A flash animator named Happy Harry posted a parody of the comic Watchmen that mixes the comic with the love of 80s cartoons. Click on the link below.

[link]

I can guess most if not all of the nods to each 80s cartoon in that clip. I dunno if I should be proud of that fact or ashamed of it.

Chwen

Hard to believe I'm saying such a statment. I'm questioning it myself. There are plenty of other comic book movies that have won the hearts of critics and movie goers. The original Superman movie, Iron Man, Spider-Man 1 and 2... But what Chris Nolan did was create a Batman movie that lived up and surpassed Batman Begins completely. This is the movie that lived up to the hype (and very few movies can say that). Let me list the reasons why, again without spoiling anything for you.

1) The original cast, from Christian Bale to Gary Oldman, played their roles perfectly and brought more to the table this time around.

2) The new comers do the same as well. Maggie Gyllenhaal does a much better job playing Rachel Dawes and Aaron Eckhart portrayed Harvey Dent perfectly. When you see him turn from the white knight of Gotham to his evil alter ego, trust me, he definitely turns. It's the most tragic moment of the film when Harvey falls from grace. But there is one new comer that stole the spotlight and truly gave his greatest performance.

2) Mr. Nicholson, as much as I respect you, I'm afraid you will have to move aside when it comes to who plays the best Joker. The late Heath Ledger's role as the clown prince of crime is his best work ever. When critics say he disappeared into the character, they mean it! You watch the movie and its not Heath you're seeing, its truly the Joker. I'm starting to believe that his Oscar nod could happen, if not then I want to know why. In my book, only two people can play the Joker perfect. One is Mark Hamill ( best voice ever, eat it Kevin Michael Richardson) and the other is Heath himself.

3) You may be asking "Yeah, there's great characters but do we get some action and thrills?" The answer is "Yes, we certainly do." From the start of the movie to the very end, we're on a wild ass ride that doesn't let up. Also, when you see the appearance of the Bat Pod in the movie let me know what you think. When I saw it, I had a flashback to Batman Returns as to how it came into play (I'm not gonna say anymore than that).

4) Oddly enough, there are three villains in the movie. Ok, Scarecrow (played once again by Cillian Murphy) has a brief appearance but it's amazing to know that this movie had so many characters in the film including two main villains and did not suffer the same effect as Spider-man 3 did. Nolan measured enough of each performance from his actors and made a movie that was perfectly balanced out. Someone might wanna tell Sam Raimi and Sony to look at TDK and take some notes if they're planning to do a forth Spider-man.

All in all, this is the summer movie that brings home the bacon. Plus it has the trailer of the upcoming 2009 movie The Watchmen. My one thought is that TDK almost seems final. There is nothing mentioned as to what will happen in the possible third movie. I don't know if Nolan and company will return but part of me hopes they do. There are still many characters in the Batman universe for them to play with, but its going to be tough to top a performance like The Dark Knight.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Nolan handle Catwoman. I think after making that lame version with Halle Berry, we deserve a Catwoman that lives up to her comic book roots.

Chwen

I was one of the latter. I discovered George at a very young age, he was the first comedian I can remember in my childhood. As I grew older in life, I began to enjoy his humor even more. He was a great teacher for us all. He saw humor in language, our world, and everything around him. He taught me to never see things at face value. To always question authority and never accept the place people put you in. Today, the world seems less brighter without him now that he is gone.

I dunno what awaits him in the next life. He had a hard time believing in God and was never a fan of religion. But whatever awaits him on the other side, be it God, the Big Electron (as he once said in a comedy special), or whatever, may he be in a better place and continue to bring laughter to those in need. I've seen him in concert many times, but my one true regret was that I never got to shake his hand and thank him. Now that he is gone, I can at least say it and hope he is listening...

Thank you, George, thank you.

Chwen

P.S.
Forgive the weird mood setting for this, DA seems to have another one of their "issues".

Went to see Get Smart today. But before I go into how the movie was, I have to tell you that I had a near death experience. I'm ok physically, but.... I'd better start from the beginning.

I got to the theater that was playing Get Smart and like all movies, trailers for upcoming movies had to come first (along with commercials for products I won't be buying soon). One of those trailers was for the movie entitled Disaster Movie, coming in August of this year. It's another piece of shit "parody", and I use that term lightly, from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. These are the two mindless hacks who brought us Epic Movie, Date Movie, and Meet the Spartans. Basically, their movies are unoriginal and unfunny parodies of movies that came out or have yet to come out and are peppered with lame pop culture refs and a heaping of bad humor. I prefer to call them "cut and paste" movies since they're taking anything for good movies, tossing them into a wood chipper with forty pounds of glue and lame jokes, and see what sticks on film. For a better commentary on these two retards, allow me to point you towards a DVD review of their last film.

[link]

Trust me, even the critic shows his hatred for these two idiots as well as the poor actors who star in their films and the brainless sheep that see them.

As the trailers rolled I, like everyone else in the theater, was unaware of the horror that we would soon encounter. Looking back on it, I finally figured out the secret ending to The Happening without seeing it myself. I'm guessing that the mystery behind everyone killing themselves in The Happening were victims of those who either saw the trailer to Disaster Movie or they lived in a world where only Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer movies played in every media outlet. I can't describe the images I saw on the screen but I will break down the following events in a chronological order.

00:01 - The green letterbox that says this movie was approved by the MPAA comes on (apparently, they're not doing a good enough job).

00:02 - The trailer begins and I'm wondering what this movie is and so is the rest of the movie goers. I should have sensed danger since my Spider Sense was tingling.

00:03 - A guy in an Iron Man costume gets crushed by a meteor, no laughter is heard in the theater. It's right there that I realized who was behind this movie. First thoughts in my head were "OH JESUS FUCK CHRIST! NO ANOTHER ONE!!"

00:05 - At this point, I'm trying to avert my eyes from the horror of this turd of a movie trailer. Covering my ears as well, but I keep looking at the screen like a horrible train wreck that I cannot look away. I turn around and see something even worse. The movie goers are screaming in pain. A young couple in front of me were crying out to anyone in the theater to stop the trailer. Sadly their cries fell on deaf ears.

00:06 - I turned over and saw an elderly couple who wanted to see if the Get Smart movie was as good as the TV series. They would never know. Since they too saw the utter shit that was the Disaster Movie trailer, they gouged their own eyes out and used their drinking straws to puncture their ear drums. At this point, I decided to make a run for the exit.

00:07 - 00:09 - I was rushing towards the theater exit, not looking at the screen but hearing the trailer continue. I also witnessed many movie patrons killing themselves just to escape the pain. One guy took his cell phone out and was trying to bash it into his head. I'll give him an A for effort, the poor bastard. But I began to feel the effects of the trailer on myself. I figured after seeing Batman and Robin twice in theaters, I was strong enough to endure any bad movie. I was wrong. As I opened the door to the exit, I felt something warm run down my lips. The room began to spin. I made it halfway into the theater hallway and saw across from our theater was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull playing (perhaps a far better film than Disaster Movie but then anything would be better). I felt myself go limp and mumbled "Save me, Indy..." before everything went black.

????? - I gasped for air and found three ushers performing CPR on me. They had pulled me out of the theater in time and brought me back to life. They said I was dead for 3 minutes and was one of the lucky few that were still alive. I thought to myself "Was I lucky?" I may have lived but I felt a part of me die in that theater.

15:29 - EMT's checked me out and gave me a clean bill of health. They too said I was lucky to be alive. Meanwhile, I saw those that barely survived shouting at the manager and the projectionist. They threatened to sue them for cruel acts against humans and assault with a deadly weapon.

But you s...

My name is Chwen Hoou and I would like to state the following. I fully approve and endorse the new Marvel movie The Incredible Hulk.

This movie kicks ass ten times more than the Ang Lee version. Let me state a few things about this awesome flick without giving too much away.

1) It's definitely a reboot, the origin is retold during the opening credits and its more closer to the comics and the live action show from the 70s.

2) Action is off and running, no need to wait for Hulk to pop up like 45 minutes into the movie. He appears sooner than you think.

3) The cast works great. Edward Norton plays Banner to a T. Tim Roth is a great addition as Blonsky, who slowly evolves into the Abomination during the film. Also big ups to Liv Tyler and William Hurt for their parts as Betty and General Ross.

4) Yes, Stan Lee has his cameo as does Lou Ferrigno in this film. Both play parts that move the story along its merry Marvel way. btw, for the record, both Stan and Lou are the man.

5) Did I forget to say there is action in this film? Plenty of it, from the chase scenes to the final battle between Hulk and Abomination. You will be cheering in the seats.

6) Also there is the lighter side to the film. It has its funnier moments, which were sorely lacking in Ang's version. Plus oodles of Easter eggs to look out for in this movie. If you're a die hard Marvel fan, keep the peepers peeled.

7) Sadly, no sign of Captain America as rumored. That ended up on the cutting room floor. But director Louis Leterrier promises that the missing part will turn up eventually. Either online or on a special edition DVD. Pray for a directors cut.

8) But the Tony Stark cameo is in there and you don't have to waiting until the end credits are over. A welcome relief for full bladders of movie goers. *whew*

9) The movie sets up the dominoes for the upcoming Avengers movie and leaves openings for future Hulk sequels. One character in the movie will be playing a major role in the future, just hope he doesn't get a "swelled head" about it.

My only regret is that it was kinda short on the character development. But after the last Hulk movie I can't blame Marvel for wanting to skimp on that part. Hopefully, Louis will give the movie a 2 disc directors cut DVD that will please all sides. I'm definitely going to see this movie again this weekend. Plus, Iron Man is still available at the theater so I shall make it a mighty Marvel double header day. I strongly suggest the same for everyone. So if you have already seen the film and loved it, spread the good word. Tell everyone that The Incredible Hulk is the true Hulk film the fans wanted.

btw, if you still have a copy of the Ang Lee version in your collection, I suggested you sell it to a store like FYE that takes used DVD's just to get some cash back. Too bad you can't get the time we wasted on it back.

Chwen

Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, and the rest of the cast shine in this. I highly recommend it for anyone in need of a good pick me up. Also, go check out Iron Man as well as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for some good action.

One movie I'm dying to see next week is The Incredible Hulk. I've been hearing some positive word of mouth from those that have seen an advance screening. They say it lives up to the comic book and redeems itself after the 2003 Ang Lee disaster. I'll keep you posted once I see it on opening day. I've seen the trailers, TV clips, and the one minute previews online and even I'm stoked about it.

Still a lot of summer movies coming down the pipe.
Sorry if I've been MIA as of late. I got a new computer last week. The bad news was that I forgot to ask them to include a dial-up modem. I finally got it in the mail and have been working to get my new computer up to speed. Sadly, I had trouble using DA with Internet Explorer so I had to remove all the favs and watches I got from other people. To all those that faved and watched me over the week and didn't receive a thank you, my apologies. I appreciate it but its pretty tough to get caught up on DA stuff with a brand new computer and the files have piled up. Word of advice, Firefox is a lot better to use DA with IMO. I hope to have everything up and running on my computer and get caught up on my DA stuff soon. Thanks for your patience.

Chwen

I just found out about this after coming home from work. I can't believe it myself. You don't expect someone as young as him to die so soon. For some reason, it reminds me of the sudden death of Brandon Lee when he was filming The Crow. Seeing anything tied into The Dark Knight movie will feel rather different now...

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

If this tells you anything, its this... No matter where you go or what you do, always tell your loved ones (your mom, dad, GF, BF, etc) you love them and give them hug or a kiss. If you had an argument over something, patch it up soon. Spend time with those around you. Don't put it off. Because you may not have tomorrow to look forward to.

Good-bye Heath, may you be in a better place.

Sorry folks for not replying sooner. Even with Christmas over, I had stuff to do. Got a lot of good stuff this year and had fun with my family while in St Louis. However, I would like to state that anyone that plans to hold a 25+ person Christmas eve party in a house that's smaller than a one car garage..... don't!

Rent a freaking ball room. No human being should ever have to feel like they're being stuffed into a VW Bug of a house unless its for a world record.

Update on JR and the sequel. Seems like he's been busy as hell at his end, so I'm not alone on this boat. Got the first finished page of the commission, so it looks like I'll be posting it a few days after the new year. It's coming folks, so please be a bit more patient.
Hope everyone has a happy new year. Be safe and try not to out drink anyone else or you'll be doing the technicolor yawn the next day.

Just went and seen I Am Legend at the theaters. It's a pretty good movie, has its moments here and there. Some say its not that great but its a good popcorn flick for X-mas....

But there is another reason why I went to see the movie.

Three words....

Why so serious?

The new Dark Knight trailer kicks ass from start to finish. I did sneak a peak from a bootleg trailer on You Tube but those things disappear quicker than a fart in the wind. However, being the clever clown he is, the Joker has offered another viral site we should keep an eye on.

[link]

I so hope that we can download this trailer to our computers. I'm betting this will be one of the top downloaded trailers next to the Iron Man movie trailer.

One final note, the sequel to the BBW/GTS is nearing completion. But if its not posted before X-mas then I'll get it online on new years eve or the next day. So be patient and remember what Mr. J says in the trailer...

"It's all part of the plan."

Chwen (aka future clown in training)

P.S.
Anyone been keeping up with the viral campaign for the Dark Knight movie. I have a hard time keeping track of it.

Edit: Anyone seen the trailer online yet? No?

"Let's put a smile on that face!"

[link]

You can download it on Quicktime and its available on flash too. Definitely one sweet trailer.

In the tradition of Halloween, I would like to share with you thats pretty scary and disturbing..... Adam West and a bunch of actors dressing up as DC heroes and villains in a lost show that should've remained lost.

Just noticed recently that I've surpassed the 50k pageview marker. Not as impressive as many others on DA but not bad really. I wish I could celebrate it with a posting but over the past months money has been tight. But I am working on getting that fixed. Hopefully, the sequel to the Big Beautiful Giantess comic will get up and running soon.

I have noticed a couple of requests for prints of my commission postings. I could do one of JR's work but the Totally Spies pin ups are out since it would infringe on trademark laws and such. I'd rather avoid a lawsuit as much as possible. I'll ask JR permission about the idea before any further work is done.

Hope everyone has a great labor day, enjoy it as much as possible.

Ok, lets get this over with.

The rules:

1. Post these rules
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random (hopefully interesting) facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them they're tagged

Facts:

1. I was born and raised in Illinois my whole life. Not gonna say where exactly but I'm in the area where a former president was born and raised.

2. To this day, I've only broken one bone in my body and it was my right index finger.

3. I have seen Batman & Robin twice in theaters. God knows why, I think I was in a terrible state of denial. I still want retribution from the director and his apology in the director's commentary (in the new release version) is not enough.

4. I was in catholic school for two years and decided it wasn't for me.

5. I was born on the same year that the comic strip character Garfield was introduced.

6. Also, I was a few weeks old when the original Halloween was released in theaters. Still don't understand why Rob Zombie wants to do a remake of a classic... or for that matter why anyone would waste 8-10 bucks to see a lousy remake when you can rent the original at the video store for much less. You want a great remake, John Carpenter's The Thing.

7. The last game station I owned was a Sega Genesis and I played Sonic 2 like there was no tomorrow.

8. If I have to choose one classic horror movie monster, I'd go with the werewolf. They seem more down to earth and more appealing to me than the vampire who has been used over and over again in so many variations (although the best one I like so far is the manga Hellsing and the new anime Hellsing Ultimate).

Well, that was fun. So who shall I tag....

1) RoboDeathBunny

2) dwarfpriest

3) Satsurou

4) MartmeisterPaladin

5) Destroyer77

6) Splicer-ik

7) zeromager

8) ShineofRain

Can't believe August is already here. Summer went by so fast. So far I'm still working at my new job, just hope to stay on long enough to get hired on. My next semester of classes start soon so I'm gonna have to get my books and find out when school starts again. Had to scale back on college hours just to keep my night job. Just hope I don't burn myself out on work and school.

I've got some projects in the works, one involving a certain sequel from JR. But I'd like to hold on a bit longer until I am sure the funds are in. My job pays well but my paycheck tends to disappear quickly due to bills. I hope to get it started this month so wish me luck.

Seen a lot of the summer movies. Transformers pleased me the most but then I like big, honking robots. Rented 300 and Hot Fuzz awhile back. Already seen 300 in theaters but its still a kick ass movie. Same goes for Hot Fuzz, the guys behind Shaun of the Dead seem like the only few people in the movie biz that understand the concept of a great comedy. Crap like Epic Movie and anything from Will Ferrel IMO feels like an insult to my intelligence. So thank God for the UK boys. Gotta get going folks. Hope to give you more news soon.

Got a new job at a factory. It's a second shift position that pays well and keeps my checkbook healthy. Got some plans for future projects but gonna take it a day at a time since my last job at a factory lasted less than two weeks (that's what you get when you don't be specific with the temp agency job wise).

In the meantime, I've been taking in some of the new summer movies. I saw Ratatouille yesterday, another jewel in the crown of Pixar. If you ever want to see the best CGI animated movies than look no further than Pixar. Their new film comes from Brad Bird, the same man that brought us the Incredibles. I plan to see Live Free or Die Hard today and Transformers this week.

Thankfully the summer days have gotten a bit cooler. The hot and muggy days have been torture but at least its getting nicer. I'll keep you folks posted on what else happens.

Enjoy the summer
On a brighter side, my 3rd year anniversary on DA is just hours away as well as something else. I can't remember it, its about some guy dressed in web covered tights fighting a dude made out of sand and an icky looking doppleganger.
I got a ticket for the midnight showing at my local theater. Seen the first Spider-Man movie 7 times and the sequel 6 times (as well as the midnight showings.) I'm gonna try to beat the record this time.
To celebrate the release of the new Spider-Man movie, I'd like to link you to a You Tube video I found. It's a classic Saturday morning theme song done by one of the best punk rocks bands in history.

I was pleased to find a local theater that finally got around to playing Grindhouse. I won't offer spoilers, but its worth checking out. I can't understand why movie goers wanted to see Will Ferrel in tights instead of Grindhouse (but then, I never liked his comedies nor his work on SNL.) I would like to offer my ideas on how to give it new life.

1) Play it at midnight in independent theaters, skip the megaplex chains entirely. The old school theaters can't be beat when it comes to grindhouse charm.

2) Offer other grindhouse/midnight movies along with it, such as El Topo, Night of the Living Dead, and other insane movies that need to be seen to be believed.

3) For movie goers, bring your weed. Sometimes a movie is better when you're stoned.

4) Grindhouse movies are like acid trips, just forget logic and go with the flow.

My only grips was the missing reel parts in each feature. I know it adds to the charm but I hope that they'll include those missing parts in the DVD release. I just hope that Hot Fuzz will pop up soon, the previews look awesome.

Got to see the movie 300 last night, awesome movie. Not gonna spoil anything but it lives up the Frank Miller's novel and is perhaps the best movie thus far. Anyone with an appitite for violence will find this satisfying IMO. I'm looking forward to seeing Grindhouse coming in April among other flicks hitting the summer scene. Including one in particular.

Right now I'm on spring break vacation from college, but I'll be using this time to do some job hunting plus work on other things as well. Hope to find a job soon so wish me luck. The weather here is warming up abit, but not as fast as I want it to. Hope that by the time the first day of spring is declared, it is actually spring.

For those that are watching the weather channel, the midwest is being hit with heavy wind and snow. I watched the local news and found out my college classes are canceled, so it looks like we're cramming later this week. On the plus side it'll give me some time to catch up on my reading for my Intro to Drama plus make some phone calls too. Hope that I don't have to shovel my way out tomorrow. So my best advice for those in the midwest is to keep the brass monkey's indoors and bundle up.

Which reminds me, when the hell is that early spring coming that the furry rodent in PA mentioned about?

*whew* I finished the last two finals of my semester yesterday, did great on my computer lab one but I'm not sure on my intro to business class. I should get a report card later on, hope I passed all my classes. Also I need to find a new job soon before I leave for Christmas vacation. Second semester starts in January 2007 so I hope everything goes well. If I forget to say this, I wanna wish everyone on DA and all my friends happy holidays.
