I dance to the beat of Micheal Jackson...some danced to Jai-Ho. Others sang. Our
janitor got drunk. And some guy was stripped naked of his polo shirt. lol!

A semi-weird night. but a sad one at that.

Mr.Murli...he'll surely be missed by everyone. He was one great boss.
And I'm not just saying this!

He knew how to make the most out of a tight budget and still make that
project a success.

He knew how to drink and mingle with his employees when
we all get into a party.
Like his friend said...he's one cool cat!

After the program...most of the senior employees were crying and taking pictures.
And since most from the office were newly hired, they left and didn't stay to dance
or drink. It was quiet disappointing. The party ended in tears. It was awkward.

I wore as I went home for our new year celebration.

It was pretty close to something my dad would
categorized as "bum fashion" but i didn't care.

most of our threads were like a week late
for laundry pick up so the hell with choosing
the right clothes...

anyway...i was waiting for my dad in Santolan station,
grabbed an american hotdog and a bottle of coke when
I saw him.

Joel.

He was eating something as well...I smiled...he smiled back.
After munching and draining my last liter of soda...I saw him
outside the station. I signaled if he wanted some of
what i was drinking. He said yes and i made my way down.

There he was...all 3 and a half feet of him. He was 9. red shirt.
Parents already dead. He fashioned grease and soot on his face...
but he was smiling.

I gave him my coke and we talked about stuff....how he dreamt of riding
the train and a bus... "would the train fall?" he asked.
I looked up and said no....

There were these women beside us...they were looking at us funny. like
...."ewww" funny. I shrugged it off.

I started to feel happy. Social classes didn't matter at all.

Shortly after talking buses and trains, dad arrived....with his new...
MERCEDES BENZ....

and gawd were the women beside us silent...gawking and minding
their mistake.

I said Hi to my dad, waved goodbye to Joel then drove off....
I just wished I had shared more than my favorite drink and some
stories. I hope to see him again when I get home...maybe i can treat
him someplace nice....

When did your interest in photography start? How long have you taken pictures?
- When I was sixteen (now i'm 20 ) my mom gave me a very simple camera Panasonic Lumix \3 megapixels\ as a present. I started taking pictures, Margaret supported me. I never attended any art school or studio, I don't know famous photographers and their techniques that's why I guess I avoided the influence.

What type of camera/s do you use? Lenses? What’s on your equipment list?
- for one year (after my panasonic lumix) it's canon eos 30d, zenit-e (film camera), soviet 'Helios' lens. tripod sometimes.

How much do you spend in buying photo equipment?
- canon eos 30d - $2000, zenit-e - 'Helios' lens - tripod = $50 for all.

Subject that interest you the most?
- People i love.

What is the hardest subject you’ve ever shot?
- Still life shots for my university classes. It's always hard to make shots of something you don't find interesting. It's deadly boring.

Do you often shoot in auto or in manual settings?
- Manual.

Do you prefer Colored or Black-and-white shots? Why/ why not?
- Have no preferences here. All depends of subject.

What is your most memorable shoot?
- "new age religion" - Saint Mary with coca-cola bottle. It first what comes in my mind when someone asking me about my works.

What is your first paying photo shoot?
- Nobody payed for my shots yet. I am zero in commercial photography.

What skill or technique do you pride yourself on?
- Erm... "push-the-button-on-your-camera" skill?

What makes you very passionate about your craft?
- Everything.

1. I learned to take photographs during the summer of 2005, just before we started photo class with Sr.Torres. I was using mom’s digital camera then. It broke when my brother brought it to school…

2. I’ve never been in a photo seminar nor know all them camera techy stuffs. All my pictures are shot with pure inspiration from the amazing deviants here. My would be first photo seminar got cancelled two month ago. Damn it…

2. Mom got me a personal art teacher to study the awesome ways to draw comic books. Me and teacher Yong started way back in high school, but now I rarely draw my favorite Marvel n’ DC characters… (wonder if I could give my teacher a call? )

3. I usually shoot solid objects by splashing them with water to give them more color. (Like concrete and rusty metal thingies…

4. I enjoy editing pictures in Photoshop. I learned all the basics in Informatics and experiment with all the other tools along the way.
Now i download fonts and PS brushes to add special effects to my photos.

5. At the peak of being artsy, I make paper sculptures during my free time and give them to my friends as gifts.

6. I like doing all things that involves visual arts but I could never draw portraits. I suck at that…

7. I make a point to shoot once a week. When I go out, I always bring a pen and paper to doodle just in case things get boring.

8. Whenever I do corporate designs and other digital stuffs I usually play with the fonts. I dunno… guess I like seeing all em’ letters in complementary colors.

9. I use a Canon 350D for most of my photos. Now I just bought two graduated filters during this year’s photo summit. Yet all the other people in school uses Nikon and 400D…I’m not really up-to-date with the latest gizmos.

10. My most favored medium when I draw is water color and colored pencils. I’m not really good with oil. I hate all the mess I make with it.
