I seriously need to start working on something. I've never had this many ideas, and yet I can't bring myself to draw anything. I've played through Dragon Age. I was searching through drawers for the camera wire, and found the Baldur's Gate discs scattered about. I can't even remember if I ever actually finished that game. Surprisingly, they still worked, so yay.

I just feel like I'm wasting time. Everyone's gone home for Christmas and I'm stuck in a house on the outskirts of Bangkok with no aircon and plenty of things to do, just no energy to do them.

I just realised we haven't even put up the Christmas tree yet.

I’m alright. There was a huge mess with fire alarms ringing in the middle of the night, us sleeping on the dining room tables. Add on shitloads of homework, whole bunch of activities and plain laziness, and the result is that I’m like a zombie, and I don't think I’ve slept more than four hours a day for the last few weeks. Including weekends.
But it's been nice. We have our own common room, with sofas and aircon. The lessons are mainly pretty nice. I’m hating English and Spanish, DT I just don't get (the teacher doesn't explain anything, so we have no idea what we're meant to be doing - I thought it was a problem because I hadn't done DT last year, but apparently it's the same for all of her classes).
Art is fun. I’m weaving stuff out of wire and my fingers hurt like hell. I’m taking dance classes, which I’m horrifying at. I miss drama. I’m hoping it's not too late to join drama club. At the moment, I’m doing student guild, but I’m just sitting there staring at a wall, so it's pretty damn pointless.
I’m also trying to teach myself guitar. Not too successfully. I should try getting lessons.

I should also upload some art at some point, probably.

It’s weird, everything before the summer feels like a different life.

Last few months have been crazy. I applied for a scholarship in one really nice school, they gave me a tiny percentage that didn't do much for the crazy large price, but the school I'm currently going to heard about it, and finally started answering the e-mails we've been sending them inquiring if it's possible to get a scholarship (note, that they actually got to a point were they told us they were seriously considering it about a year back... and then they just started ignoring us). So they gave me a pretty nice discount and decided to officially recognize me as a global connect student, and my parents decided that I needed at least some change, so they're sending me boarding. Which I don't really mind all that much.

A few days ago we moved to a nice cheap house on the outskirts of the city, much closer to my dad's job. No airconditioner, the variety of bugs here is absolutely incredible, and there is no bath, but other than that, it's nice.

Although, during the packing I lost my prom ticket, but that's not too bad because I was looking for an excuse not to go anyway. Two days to spare, and I still hadn't bought a dress. Or shoes. Apparently no one had fun anyway.

Schools finally over. Technically, not until next week, but everyone's going on a week long field trip, and the few people I wouldn't mind spending a week with aren't going anyway, and flying home already. so I'm starting summer a bit early. Considering I'm going to be living at school for the next year, I think I deserve it.

Exams are over, and I think the went pretty okay, even Additional Maths which I was freaking out about. The first paper was crap, but I think I may have pulled at least a B out of the second one. I calmed down about it a lot, after the teacher pretty much told me that it doesn't really matter what I get - it's a nice sort of extra if I want to mention it, but since I already got an A* on the maths IGCSE, I can just ignore the result all together if I want to.

In the last two weeks only the sciences were left, which were almost ridiculously easy, so it was actually kinda fun. We didn't have to go to lessons anymore, so we could just stay home until the exam. Then, on exam days, we'd have the exam, and then spend the rest of the day sitting around, watching movies and playing cards. Or vice versa.

And so that's it. Year eleven is over. Sort of weird to think that half my classmates are running off to college already. And I'm actually sort of looking forward to next year. I like the subjects I've chosen (higher maths, art and business, lower English, Spanish, And DT). Still sorta pissed I can't take ICT, but ah well.

I have a week before going to Latvia.

And I finally have time to draw. Life is nice.

8. I still haven't forgotten about a cat shaped cake pan my mum didn't buy we when I was six.

9. I always lose erasers. Generally someone borrows it, and I forget who it is so I can't chase them down, which is often the only way I get stuff back.

10. I'm used to not working hard for good grades, which generally gets me in trouble when there is a subject I actually have to study for, because I'm so used to it. One of the things I'm most proud of is getting an A* for my maths IGCSE without studying at all, and spending the day before it in bed, watching House.

11. I am actually more of a morning person. I hate mornings, but I can concentrate much better after I've just woken up.

12. Which is why I often wake up at 4 or 5am to do my homework instead of doing it in the evening.

13. I used to like exam week. Just sitting around doing worksheets, instead of learning. And then spending the week after that going over said worksheets.

14. I like learning new stuff.

15. There was a point when my life goal was to become a hot female genius. :lol:

16. I am surprisingly rather good at yoga. Finally a sport I can do. :'D

My fellow Americans, today is a purple day. You have shown the world that "hope" is not just another word for "hat", and that "change" is not only something we can believe in again, but something we can actually end.

Today we celebrate, but let there be no mistake – America faces funky and lovely challenges like never before. Our economy is stupid. Americans can barely afford their mortgages, let alone have enough money left over for socks. Our healthcare system is weird. If your hand is sick and you don't have insurance, you might as well call a president. And America's image overseas is tarnished like a bed pillow. But running together we can right this ship, and set a course for an airport.

Finally, I must thank my creepylicious family, my totally awesome campaign volunteers, but most of all, I want to thank forumers for making this historic occasion possible. Of course, I must also thank you, President Bush, for years of ignoring the American people. Without your really really annoying efforts, none of this would have been possible.
