Not much art for a while, because of school. Yeah, A levels have that affect on most people. By which I mean a waning amount of free time.
Hope I can get something done soon.

Just to let you know, I (and a friend of mine) have begun to work on a new comic series, "Volt". It's a superhero comic about a electricity based superhero. My friend is writing the comic, and I am doing the artwork. He and I have tons of ideas, and it's starting to really come together. Right now he's working on the first story.
Currently I am working on the first set of character designs, and they'll be up soon. So stay tuned for that.

He really handled the character well in terms of him questioning himself. And I liked how the film didn't make him a hero as much as the first one did. 'The hero we deserve, not the hero we need.'

Speaking of actors, Heath Ledger was a tremendous Joker. Rest in peace Heath, you truly rock. He had the perfect balance of psychotic killer and hapless clown, something many other actors have failed to do. I also loved the fact that he was unstoppable because he had no motivation, and didn't care about even his own life, as well as anyone else's.

A truly awesome film, best Batman film. (although I think B:TAS will always be the Batman I remember for all time)


As I said before, I'll be moving a lot of old work to my scraps or deleting entirely. I want to keep my artworks fresh and new. Basically, anything older than 2007 will definitely go. And I'll have something new up by next week.

But it was a great trip. Rosas is such a great place, so much to do and see. Also, my birhtday was on the Wednesday while we were there. I'm 15! Yay.

-For example, I've renamed it 'Asurae Elite' 'cos it sounds cooler.
-Characters now have custom uniforms. (more on that later.)
-Many other designs have changed.
-Jade is now Jen/Jenny, Jade is infact her nickname (because of her green eyes)
-Melee weapons are standard, but there is choice. Long and short sword, and a sai-like dagger.
-Some basic costume and equipment changes.
-They still operate in space, but the people of Earth currently have no knowledge of their exsistance.
-Terry and Jane are dating.

I will also introduce some alien races and charatcers that frequently crop up.

Anyway. I've decided not to continue with EF - Training Day. Partly because I just lost interest in the story, but mostly because I've changed a lot with the characters and design, and it would just create continuity errors left right and centre.
I will start another one, at some point.

In other news, I'm playing the Gamecube port of Ocarina of Time I borrowed from a friend, and the Water Temple is kicking my butt.
I'm also sad because Brawl still doesn't have an EU release date.

I finally beat Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
My first Zelda Game (not lucky enough to have and N64 or Gamecube, not old enough to have an NES or SNES)

It is an awsome game.
I've been trying to bargin with my brother to spend Wii points on the Virtual Console version of Ocarina of Time, with little luck.

It's half-term over here in England. It's nice to go places in half-term. My Dad and my Brother are off to Berlin for a few days, so that leaves me and my Mum to go driving off to Suffolk. Mainly for reasons that My Brother wouldn't enjoy... the scenery. He's not into that sorta stuff.

Anyway, I got a great present. A Wacom Tablet.

It's such a great piece of equipment. It doesn't use any extra paper, plus it works for simple fun.
It also came with decent software.

So far today I've just been testing it out, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
I may post a few scraps of tests that went moore then half decently well.

It was a good holiday anyway. Although, canal locks are tough work. I am not kidding. You get aches the next morning and everything. I think I pulled a few muscles in the process. Good exersise though. Fresh air and all. Mind you, most of the lock parts are pretty stiff and hard to work. And you often leave your twisty things you use to open and close the paddles to drain or fill the water levels. Then when you go back to look for them, they're gone because someone took them or they fell in the canal. Some people tend to roam the canals helping around when they don't have a boat of they're own. They're the stranger types. But some people without boats just stand there and watch you do everything, that's very off putting. Still, once they're out of you hair, you can get back to concentrating.
