My folks and I are planning on moving soon, and as part of the move we are doing some painting. Well, my dad wrangled me into helping do touch up work where the walls meet the ceiling. Now, I've never painted a room in my life.

So, what was my dad's reasoning for wanting me to do it? "Because you do such a great job on your models." :D

So I basically spent an hour going around the room with a art store detail brush, fixing any wall paint that had found it's way on the ceiling.

Just wanted to make an update so I could move the journal along. I'm feeling much better now and am in the process of getting a few things done that I had left on hold. I got bad news from my dad that my grandmother is in the hospital. Apparently she went  in to the doctors for a routine check up because she wasn't feeling well, and after looking at her, the Doc told her she needed to go right to the hospital. She's currently in an ICU, and what they found was that she had a partially deflated lung, an infection in said lung, and she apparently had a case of pneumonia. They also found that there was undigested food in her esophagus. :sniff:

Hey everybody! Nothing really going on right now but I felt I should update my journal. I made a small fix so the different sections now have an underscore. Mostly I'm just testing out the skin option that was made available by the Ninja Assassin promo. Very generous of them! Doesn't really bother me that much I'll have an ad on my page. It's small and I can always go back.

I always liked vintage stuff... So this caught my eye right away. I might need to experiment with it a bit... my HTML days were a LONG time ago and I'm rusty as can be. I think I'll also do some looking around and see if anything else grabs my eye before the promo ends.

-I had jury duty last Wednsday. :ohnoes:
-I worked a 13 hour day at work. (sun-up to sun-down :faint:)
-And I just got through my writing finals.

Oddly enough, the 13 hour work day was the least stressful. :D Not sure why. I only felt tired an hour or two before the shift ended. But with all said and done, I'm looking forward to the holidays. I'm hoping to get things back in order at home and put my pencil back into honest drawing use. I have a few ideas I've let go undone for far too long.

More importantly, my grandmother is making an improvement health wise. Her time in the therapy center has made a great improvement. She has to use a walker right now, but the important thing is she can walk again. A few more months of home therapy and she'll be able to go around all by herself again. =)

I had to put off a few days of working on it for Finals studying.... and then there was work and the fact that I started almost halfway into the contest to begin with. So I feel pretty stupid right now.

But at the same time I feel relieved. What I DO have done is 3/4 of the whole project... and I really like what I've made. To finish it by the deadline would have had me make a few compromises in quality that would have really sold it short. Now I have time to get it done right. So I will finish as soon as I can.

I haven't had much happening recentley. I've just been going to College and working. However, my family did go to Frankenmuth for a Zhenders chicken dinner... so that was a treat! Anyway, the day after I posted my last entry I was told by my Geology professor that we would be having a quiz this Tuesday. So I didn't have as much time to devote to the drawing as I had previously believed. (That, and I'm taking my time to get it how I want it.) It's only my second attempt at coloring with the Dodge and Burn tools, but I see an improvement already.
