Anyways, I'll be uploading a fair bit today. So get ready.

I did a shitload of shots of snakes. Yes... snakes. Big ones. Little ones.
It was a grand time.
The ones I'll be uploading of people. I believe there are... 4 or 5 people shots.
They were alcohol induced. A lovely get together of friends on the weekend. My studio being so close. We decided to partake in an adventure.
Needless to say, follow this rule.

I'm going to be making a book you all.
That's right, an almost wordless book of 8x11 images that I have done.
I'm hoping to hit at least 300 pages.
So I'm going to be hand picking 300 images.
Please let me know which ones are your favorite and I'll keep it noted!
Make sure you all have viewed them in full, I just recently discovered the HUGE difference in quality.
I'm thinking that on the opposite page of the image, there will be a quote that gives the image even more emotion.

Our work is very different.

Went from 223 to 185.
Why did I do this you ask?
Well, when I started out as an aspiring photographer, I had this [rip] 5mp olympus point and shoot camera. 4 years ago I was using that for all of my shoots. My experimental shoots, I should say. I used it up until I fell in love with the beautiful Evie, my D200. <33
So the older images weren't that great quality-wise.
I still kept some.

During that 15 minutes, I started reflecting on how much I've grown as an artist and holy shit, the difference was huge.
Even just over the past year.
The composition of my images, the style of my images, the quality is like comparing a coconut to a grape.
They're both round but that's it.
Haha.

On a new note, Cory and I parted ways.

Our relationship came to a brick-like end and we just couldn't do it anymore.
It started because of my trip to see him.
We were more... best friends than anything and that wasn't what we were looking for.
Both being thick-headed Taureans, it turned into a fight.
How did this conversation start? Well, he got a hold of my livejournal account.
/sigh.
I use it to organize my thoughts so I refuse to apologize for what I had said.
Why didn't I just keep it private? Well because I use it to show my art as well as critic others. I post a lot of information people find useful.

I apologize for my leave of absence. I moved to Kamloops, BC for 4 months and in that time I had 1, count, 1 shoot.
It was to get away from all of the "fuzz" out here in southern Alberta but yet just couldn't stay away.

I've officially found my place.
As I watch other artists, I find that many mainly shoot women. Girls. Ladies. Etc.
Yet I look in my gallery and it's 90% male.

Men are beautiful creatures.
What can I say?
They fascinate me.
They're wonderful to photograph.
They have this electricity in their eyes.
Far more challenging I find, as well.
With most females, you slap on make up, throw on a nice outfit and do their hair.
With guys, they don't usually wear makeup [lulz] and they seemingly are low maintainence to begin with.
Ahh I love challenges.

And I tested my skill with lighting. Not studio lighting but trick lighting. Hiding weight particularily.

I did something really ridiculous. I payed $40.00 to have a one year subscription to this website that I don't really participate in. It's great though, has many multi-decade photographers and I can post a picture to get it critiqued. It's just... not as easy to get into. Oh well.
