Hi there

me and my dad bought a new camera today - a Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 - and in addition a Tamron 18-200mm lens. We have tested the camera for a while and we were really amazed at it. I'm looking forward to taking photos with the new camera on my upcoming trips. :)

Last week I also finished my online portfolio [link] When I was coding the site, I started to love Wordpress ... it's really cool. Nevertheless I struggled hard with a strange IE6 bug, but finally a short code fixed the problem.

At the moment I'm working on huge website for a new client. Stay tuned.

today I passed all my A-levels with distinction, what means, that I had an 1.4 average .... I'M SOOOO HAPPY!
I took a picture of all my stuff I had to study, it was horrible! I had no time to go out or do something else - it was killing me.



Now, everything is over and don't have to go to school anymore - I'm done! HELL YEAH!!!!!

Hey guys

in the last two weeks some nice things happened. At first, the photo Needle In The Sky reached the 4th place of the Daytime Cityscapes Contest published by Cityscapes-Club Many thanks to all the voters out there, I'm really happy about it.

Furthermore :iconoo-rein-oo: featured this picture in his latest journal - thank you pal!

Few weeks ago I entered the "Best website of the month" contest by :iconfredrikweb:. Today he told me that I've won the contest with my new portfolio design. By winning this contest I got a Spotify account, which I think is a really cool thing, because people from Austria can't create an account there (don't ask me why!). Thank you Frederik!

In addition I updated a few things of my online portfolio. I haven't finished yet, because I still have not enough time to add all the missing content, but I'm goin to finish it in the end of June ... hopefully. [link]

Last week I became a member of Designer's Couch which has an own website now. I really like this site and I'm sure I'll upload some of my designs there. If you are also a member, feel free to add me. [link]

Anyway .. what would be the life without negative things? Last saturday the adapter of my external drive broke down because of a bad thunderstorm and now I'm sitting here without music, because my whole iTunes library is on it. Because of the holidays in Austria, I wasn't able to get a new adapter on the weekend ... bummer!
Furthermore I couldn't play tennis this weekend, because the strings of all my three rackets broke. I hope I'll get new strings until my next tournament ....

DONE! I think I did really good, although writing about the wide gender wage gap in Germany was a bit difficult for me. :P
I don't want to know how many words I've written in those five hours. :aww: After 2.5 hours the teacher said to me: "Philipp, stop writing so much!" :D

Hey friends,

today I took a few pictures with a Sony Alpha DSLR-A200. It was the first time that I used such a good camera and I really enjoyed it. Now I know, that my next major investment will be a new camera. : )
I really love spring (or maybe I should better called it summer already) and I took some pictures in my garden. It would be awesome if some of you would give me some feedback and hints to do it better next time, thank you!

Hey guys,

the last few days on dA were great. I would like to thank everybody of you for supporting me and give me feedback, I really appreciate it. It's very important for me to get comments / faves on my works, because it helps me to improve my skills. This won't be possible without you and all the great works out there!

At the moment I haven't much time to create new web interfaces, because I have a lot to do at school (it's my last year) and I'm going to write my diploma thesis from May to July. In the meanwhile I'm goin to upload some of my older photos. I already posted a few of them this week, I hope you like them!

I will create a lot of new stuff during the summer holidays, especially web interfaces. I have so many ideas but can't realize them at the moment .. it's a bummer!

I also wanted to let you know, that I might be off for the next week. I'm goin to New York with the whole family! NEW YORK! Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this trip. It's the first time I'll go to the USA and travel such a long time by plane, I hope there won't be any problems.

Of course I will take my camera with me and take some photos for you!

Hello New York City!

Just as small update. I arrived well at 2pm at the JFK airport. It has been a very long day for me, because I've been up since 22 hours. Everything is very exciting here ad I still can't believe that I'm in NY. Tomorrow I will take a sightseeing tour and in the evening I will go on top of the Empire State Building to take some photos from NY at night ... I hope the sky is clear.

My Sister asked me to design and code a personal blog for her - I decided to use Wordpress, altough I haven't used Wordpress yet.

My biggest fear is creating the theme. Few years ago I tried to create a Joomla theme but I gave up because of my low coding skills. Today I know much more about XHTML, CSS and PHP and I am really looking forward to create my very first Wordpress theme. I found a REALLY good tutorial on wpdesigner.com. I've been watching :iconk4pp4: for a few months. He is a really good photographer from Germany and has a beautiful gallery. You should definitely have a look at him! One of my personal favourites in his gallery is "Nessmersiel".

didn't update my journal for while because I've been very busy at school.
I have a week off soon and go to London for 5 days. I'm going to see Arsenal London vs. Sunderland FC - I'm really looking forward to it. It has always been one of my greatest dreams to watch a football match live in England, especially an Arsenal match. I'll definitely make a lot of photos and upload them here.

But at the moment I'm lying in bed with a cold, damned! I have to get well for the London trip!
