Rather than answering over and over, I thought I'd give everyone a bit of a history about him.
Crash of Psycho Squad (my "alter ego") was created in high school. He's moody, violent, and vengeful...everything a good cyberpsychotic should be. I wanted to make all the psychos a bit different. I always liked the idea of Crash suffering hallucinations through his cyber eyes when he's really starting to lose it (facing down bad guys could suddenly be the Old West, or a psycho with claws may look like a werewolf to Crash, etc.).
But then I thought "what about having an imaginary ENEMY?" A character who's really a figment of Crash's imagination who tries to get Crash to finally go totally over the edge for good and abandon his humanity by coaxing him into more heartless and erratic behavior ultimately proving humanity and compassion are overrated. The proverbial "devil on his shoulder" who may have murdered the proverbial angel and stuffed him in a refrigerator somewhere. I had read a comic book adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde once about that time. The artwork was bizarre and there was one pic of Mr. Hyde in shadow and the only thing you could see was two crazed eyes and a leering grin drawn in a kind of abstract way. I skinnied up the body, made certain parts visible and designed the eyes to mirror Crash's eyes in a simplistic way and the look of Insanity was born! Hence the creepy top hat and stylized tailcoat.
He seems to be very popular and he is a very fun character for picking on Crash at times. Here are a couple of picks to give you an idea of how he appears to Crash.

That being said, I'm having a tough time (okay, an irrational fear) of starting Cyburg #1. BUT...
I did find some old Cyburg stories I drew on notebook paper and sketch pads from back in the day I may update. Would you guys like to see them? They'll be easier to work on since I'm kind of making up PS vs the Zombies as I go. I may also post a pic of each Cyburg character so you guys can get familiar with more of them. In fact, that might be next.

I'm planning on doing a few more 80s cartoon characters and I'd like to draw more women. My best friend is a master at drawing "hot babes" and seeing all of 's recent sketches of his OCs in pin-up style has made me think of drawing some of my own girls...I need the practice anyway! I've got some Cyburg OCs that could use the pin-up treatment and maybe some fanart of existing female characters will be a nice warm up.

First off, one of my best friends from high school called me Monday! What's great about that is that he drifted out of touch freakin' FIFTEEN YEARS ago! Some friends and I have been trying to track him down with no luck. Then, another old high school friend of mine found Mr. MIA's sister, found out where he was, contacted me through my sister, etc., etc. Anyway, he calls me and it was as if a month or two had passed...not freakin' FIFTEEN YEARS! It was so great to hear from him again. Heck, the Cyburg character Oscar Mire was based on him! (I feel a sketch coming on!)

Next up, my daughter is graduating high school May24th! That's so cool...and makes me feel so OLD! But I'm feeling really proud of her right now. Must be a parental thing.

Also, my best friend and his wonderful wife Melsie are celebrating their first anniversary this coming weekend! Stop by and give him some congrats!

Speaking of anniversaries, my (no-adjective-is-good-enough) wife and I will be celebrating eleven wonderful years together May 31st! No joke! We've had one fight in all that time and it lasted overnight. The secret? Don't ask me, we're soulmates!

My other best friend is moving back to the area! Instead of being three hours away, he'll be like half an hour away. That's good because it means more gaming! And spending more time with Brad, of course.

4.Death Race (the new one. Vehicular combat at it's absolute best!)

8. High Plains Drifter (An old west ghost story with Clint Eastwood. The perfect Deadlands movie.)
9. Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy. (especially For A Few Dollars More. Lee Van Cleef is even more of a badass than Clint Eastwood in that one.)
10. Escape From New York (It's A number 1!)
11.Darkman (A tragic "superhero", Sam Raimi style.)
12. Fifth Element (The world, music, characters, story...amazing!)
13. Jurassic Park (I just love this movie! )
14. The Dark Knight (The BEST Batman story on film!)
15. The Indiana Jones movies (Yes, even the fourth one!)
16. An American Werewolf in London (The best werewolf movie ever. Period.)

Now...not long ago, posted a cast list for his OCs using real actors (it would make for an awesome movie too!). I thought about doing it for my own characters from Cyburg's Psycho Squad...and gave up! I drew a blank as to who could fit ever these guys with the possible exception of Sean William Scott as Crash...and I'm not even sure about that! So instead of a cast list, I thought I'd just give a list of movies that influenced or remind me of the tone for Psycho Squad.

LETHAL WEAPON. "You're not tryin' to draw a Psycho Pension...you really ARE crazy." Riggs was a big subconscious influence for Crash with a lot more of me in the mix.

TANGO AND CASH. "You just fell for the oldest trick in the book...bad cop/worse cop!"Put an R in Kurt Russel's character's name and you have a slightly more sane Crash.

MAD MAX(the original). There's a scene with Max and Goose finding a girl with Johhny the Boy. It's real close to Crash and Burn! Guess which is which.

COBRA. With Sylvester Stallone. They call it the Zombie Squad...pretty much the same thing as Psycho Squad, but without cybercriminals.

HOT FUZZ. British Psycho Squad officers!! Over the top violence and comedy.

ROBOCOP. Old Deroit = Cyburg. A rough and dirty future. Robocop 2 even had a cyberpsycho named Cain!
Give any of these movies a look and you'll get a decent idea how a Cyburg movie might look...only it'd be animated like AKIRA! That motorcycle gang war at the beginning freakin' rocks!

Crash: hmm...not that I'm aware of.
Faust: Out of necessity, I'm keeping the fact that I'm really Nixon Grimm pretty close...for now.

Crash: Fall.

Crash: My partners Burn and Nebi, our techie Oscar Mire, and the nurse at the asylum Christine Waters.
Faust: Blades, T Oscari...maybe Samson.

Crash: Lessee...shooting people, arresting perps and psychos, sigh....arguing with that jerk in my head Insanity.
Faust: Investigating paranormal happenings, looking for my murderers, studying spatial displacement theories...

Crash: Volt cola. Look didn't I already say that?
Faust: Again, I don't drink...at all. EVER.

Crash: November...I think.
Faust: Originally? January 10th. In this body? July 16th.

Faust: 35. At least that's when they buried my physical...uh, mortal body.

Crash: sigh...I get this all the time. Hmm, misunderstood?
Faust: Me as well! We TRY to do good but we're easily...frustrated.
Crash: Couldn't have said it better myself!

Crash: Wow, that's bizarre! Uhm, I guess if he'd just let go of his inhibitions and just start shooting people when he's angry a bit more he'd be me.
Faust: Well he's seems to have a twisted idea of what makes a "good guy", but in his heart I think he believes in justice...by any means.

19) What is your weakness?
Crash: I don't think I'll tell you. Hell, actually it changes hour by hour with me anyway.
Faust: Seeing those I care about put in harms way...especially if I'm somehow responsible.


20) How long can you stay under water?
Crash: Dunno. Guess I'm afraid I'll rust.
Faust (laughs) I was thinking the same thing!

21) What do you do on a regular day basis?
Crash: Catch perps and psychos, destroy stuff in the name of the law, protect those who deserve it, and shoot people (evil grin).

Sorry folks. I haven't had the time or energy to draw ANYthing for the past two weeks and it's pissin' me off! People at work piss me off, people around me piss me off, (with the exception of my wife...the only one who keeps me sane!), I've even pissed myself off lately! How bad is THAT? Judging by what I'm feeling from those around me, I can't seem to decide if I'm an a-hole, incompetent, lazy, "too angry and mistrustful", just "expected" to be around when others feel like it, or plain irresponsible.

Today I say FTW!! Maybe things will be better soon. Until then,I will take extreme pleasure in brooding and snapping people's head's off!

a) Many moons ago I met you (in the flesh finally, though we didn't know it) during a play at Sandburg College. Afterwards we hung out for hours at Burger King with MIA Dave Ward listening to our own craziness run rampant...if only those laws had been passed! Winos with crayons in the judicial system? Genius! You're on my friends list because you're my blood brother AND you've become a kick ass artist in your own right. It's all in the boobies...er, DETAILS! Details.
b) The song "Scars" by Papa Roach and "Duality" by Slipknot. Listen to the words...

d)LOL About a week after we met, you were visiting my apartment for the first time and saw some of my drawings. You asked to see some more so I hauled out some poster-sized drawing of some of my characters that were in my senior year Art Show. You gasped, pointed at the drawings then at me and shouted,"You're Dan Giffitts!" "No, Mike, I'm Dale," I replied. Apperently someone gave you the wrong name, but damn that moment was funny! (it's now my alias) Oh, and the time we were up for like 25 hours trying to game with Brad and ended up laughing for half an hour about the possibilty that raindrops would be replaced by paratrooper aardvarks while Brad just stared at us.
e) What is the average length of time a resentful and lovesick Three-toed Wombat would last in a chatroom?
f) Jeez! There are a lot, but I really like all the detail in the "Fan-girl Contest entry" and "Cancel Catwoman, Will You?" Although The one your working on now looks REALLY amazing so far! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Now, using playing cards is really what sets this game apart and makes the "western feel" more tangible. So, I've used cards for the portraits of our characters. The suits all have a meaning, as follows:
Clubs. Lawmen of the west. Symbolized by the gun.
Spades. Blessed. The religous types who use the power of their faith to combat the forces of evil.
Hearts. Cowboy types. The "heart" of the ol' west.
Diamonds. Hucksters (and a shaman) The magic users of the weird west.
There are also two Jokers. One good, one bad.

It's taken me a while to finish these, but here they are. Hope you guys (players and non-players alike) enjoy them!

Not too well. It's usually pretty extreme for him.

No, though he may hallucinate he does once in a while.

I was truly honored to be his best man...though if you ask ANYONE, Mike is STILL the "BEST" man! Congratulations again man! My wife and I are having our 10th anniversary this weekend as well! Happily married for ten years. The secret? We're simply soulmates.
The bad stuff this year? The stimulus checks we were looking forward to only stimulated my RAGE! I hate the government! As a result, no special things for our 10th year. Get to see VERY few movies in the theatre (and there are so many good ones this year! I WILL see the Hulk, dammit! Even if I rob a bank to do it). And the worst? Fewer action figures...NOOOOOO!!
But I suppose it has all fueled my artwork. More Zombie Love pics on the way, I've started on Zombie Hate (there's a good release right now), and soon I'll have finished the Deadlands Portraits of most of the characters for all my friends who play that game with me.
