As the journal title suggests, I'm going away from DA for a while. I just feel that my art is suffering and I feel very... frustrated with my style and despite all of my effort to show off my work, I just don't feel fulfilled. So I'm going to cut myself off from here and try to find a new style and a fresh outlook when I'm not being inspired by others but by trying to find inspiration inside of myself. I do have a new series that I am doing and I hope to complete that and a few other unfinished projects before coming back. But I say differently about mankind. Even though there is a lot of s**t out there, those who are worth mentioning can rise above it and do the right thing. I guess that's one of the reasons why I like the Nightcrawler so much. He doesn't go with the flow and just go around killing his enemies. Instead, he pities his enemies and shows mercy on them. If there's anything "super" about "superheroes", it's that.

But that's a tangent. What the title of this juornal is really getting at is that a man brought a four year old boy into that movie. That movie of fistfights, people getting there arms sawed off, a pregnant woman was killed, an almost rape happened where the woman was beaten, prostitution, and what should have been an X-rated sex scene. A FOUR YEAR OLD!!!! I don't give a damn what the rule says about R-rated movies!!! That shouldn't have happened!! Selling a child's innocence for a few, measly dollars and a ticket is sickening!! I'm writing Senator Lindsey Graham about his to have the law changed so it has to be 17 and up. Period. If you feel the same, please write your senators, too.

And Clayton King was there! No relation, I promise, but he was one of the best (and hilarious) Christian speakers I've ever heard! I got two of his books! And he's friends with another pastor I love to listen to who preaches at a church called Elevation (you may have heard of it since it's one of the fastest growing churches in America right now). His name is Steven Furtick.

Look up Steven Furtick, too. He's awesome! And this weekend has been life-changing. I want to start my discipleship and start sharing the gospel with people. It's not about the sole purpose of the rules or how many times you read the Bible (though it's always a god idea to read it for knowledge and wisdom), because it's about FAITH. Faith in the sacrifice and the acceptance of Jesus is the gospel, literal translation "the good news".

If the mention of Jesus makes you uncomfortable, maybe you should examine that feeling. In the conviction of sin, you know something is not right, but many people ignore it out of fear. In that fear, some people run and some people fight. But if you have any questions, I'm happy to share my experience and the gospel with you. Thank you.

We took a trip to Sanibel island beach on New Year's Day, got free tickets to the Edison-Ford Estates and Garden, and I had a good birthday! We had fondue! I did have fun with my nephews, even though it felt like a stick in the eye at some times. Found a gopher tortoise and saw sandhill cranes, both of which are threatened species, so I was happy to see them in the wild and thriving. Took a lot of pics that I will upload later. Now I have to focus on cleaning my stuff and making sure everything is right before school.

Lots of things have happened, though. Like an introduction to madical illustration through my anatomy class, which my teacher noticed and said that I can tag along for her first teaching of advanced skeletal anatomy class and do more sketches then. And hopefully I'm going to Beijing in the summer for a pre-med interest tour. We'll cover how the Chinese cover medicine, how they handle physical therapy (especially for their young olympians), take a look at traditional herbal medicine, martial arts, and meditation and see how old medical techniques are being combined with the new.
And I've realized I have feelings for my best friend. I don't think the hint has set in yet. Might have to spell it out for him. Duh Buddy, I like you! That might work.
So now I can sleep (and sleep in) after a very long semester of hard work and early mornings! Good night, everyone!

What I noticed from the stills was interesting, though. The timeline shows in their clothes. In the Zutara part, their clothes are still the same clothes from "The western air temple", but then the clothes of the Kataang part are their fire nation clothes, as seen by Aang's collar. It must be before the real battle begins... again.

And why would the creators even have the whole Katara-Aang relationship build through the series and then just drop it? There's been a whole pattern throughout the show: They were together at the very beginning, the end of season one, the end of season two, the end of the black day battle before they sailed off to the western temple... I think the creators are just stirring the fire and that's all. So this whole thing's still up for debate. And I say to either side to quit saying that we've won or lost or anything. The coin's in the air!

Not only that but my vice president weaseled her way into my presidency and now I'm not president anymore, but vice-president. Her main complaint about me was that I didn't communicate enough, but now all these problems have arose that me and the other club officers had no clue about because she doesn't communicate with us. I want to kick her, and I can since we're officers in the martial arts club and I can challenge her, but when she gets in the ring, she's an evil RABID weasel.

Maybe it's a good thing that I'm not president anymore. I'm so busy going crazy with papers and housing problems. Maybe I should just kick my bad neighbors, but that would be unchristian. YES, I am a CHRISTIAN. And my Buddhist friend kinda holds that in contempt, and I'm ready to... that wouldn't be good either...
At least I have gotten some sleep during spring break, gone to the beach for a day, survived those southern storms, gardened some, painted some (which I hope to finish tonight and post, btw), maybe found the career of my dreams (medical illustration), done some homework (not really), got a new iPod and a few goodies, food that isn't from the cafeteria, cats, a life drawing class with a male subject (I didn't see anything, I swear!), and family who understand that you don't get the best teachers every time and that people are part good, part scum. And shopping!! I felt exactly like Sokka!!! And we got some great deals!! So I guess I can tackle those five weeks without cracking someone over the head. My family, friends, and the dear Lord himself will get me through.
And hey! Tomorrow's Easter! Time for religion and ham!!

I put it up in a new thread as well, but this thread looks like it needs to hear what I have to say too. This is the first official announcement from the unofficial Avatar KCA Campaign '08:

I am here to plead with you for your undying support. As most of you probably know, Avatar was nominated for a Kid's Choice Award this year, and as I'm sure some of you also know, it has some pretty stiff competition in the form of Spongebob and The Simpsons.

I have come here to announce a campaign to get Avatar the award that it deserves. We as fans are sick and tired of Nick not giving our show what it really deserves, and I think that if nothing else, we can show Nick that there are fans out here that are completely fed up with the lack of respect that the network has shown towards its fans. It is time that we stand up and let them know that is not right that they are doing these horrible things like leaving us in the dark about air dates, releasing the episodes to other countries first, reducing basic airtime, virtually removing the show from Nicktoons network, and most of all, putting us on these worthless multiple month hiatuses. I for one do not plan on taking it lying down.

We were able to pull out a win on TV.com for best animation of 07. We totally pwned the other five contenders with the closest nominee being something like a hundred thousand votes behind. I believe that we can do it again, and even top ourselves.

The main preliminary organization for the campaign is taking place at IMDb.com as we speak. The official campaign will begin sometime around mid-week. I'm am sending out my messages to all of the other Avatar fansites and forums and message boards to gear up for this thing. But I was just thinking the other day (dear Lord, she's doing it again!), and my thoughts stumbled across my fav subject: Avatar. That whole thing that both Zuko and Aang have to restore balance to the whole world. Well, I was thinking that if Aang is the Last Airbender, what if he dies? Crazy thought, I know, but then I started analyzing the situation. If he dies then that would put the whole world out of balance because one of the nations is gone. And if he dies with no children.... Then that leads to the same problem.
But then again, of course they're not going to kill off their main hero! That would be like if J K Rowling had killed off Harry Potter. What a way to screw with all of the younger (six-year-old) fans and mess up their childhoods! Well, maybe not their childhoods, but I wouldn't be a happy camper!
Huh, kids... Wonder who Aang's going to have kids with!

Now for the good stuff. The Group field trip was awesome. We saw the Shaolin Monk Warriors perform! Man, we were so pumped to do kung fu after the show. Goind home that night with all my friends was awesome (singing in the car, yelling out the windows, causing general chaos...) I saw an improv group last night called the Have Nots. I laughed my head off at dinner yesterday (and had a two hour nap). Martial arts was fun before I got hurt. And I have some great ideas for art! Now I'm going to.... *collaspe*

And lo and behold, I am happy socially and in my work. I did a little dance and ran down the hall to tell my roommate in the study room! Weird but great!
And I have a piece of a fencing sword on my desk. I would like to say that I snapped my opponent's blade and took home the spoils, but that's not the case. Patrick accidently snapped it when he was trying to bend it back into shape (doppelgangergrl, we missed you at practice! ).
Not only that, but I think my love life might take a turn sometime soon and I have a packed weekend ahead so I'll keep y'all posted!

Oh, but if that wasn't enough! I checked my email (and thank God I did) to find that "Professor Iroh" had sent out a dreaded take-home test that was due at 5pm that day! And I still had Botany lab to do (in which we had a quiz that I wasn't ready for )! All that said and done, I still had two papers to finish, a chem quiz to study for, a prelab for Chem lab, and Martial Arts practice, which I so needed all of, but I had to go halfway through it. I had to miss Society of Illustrators, too, so I didn't get to go and laugh with all my art friends. I did have oreos and milk, though. A small silver lining , yeah. And all on a Monday. Why Monday?
Now I'm going to have some free time to myself, so I'm going to scuttle somewhere and hide. Excuse me.

YEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Even better than I thought it was going to be! That was sooo great! I can barely type right now!!!! So we finally see that Katara has feelings for Aang!1 And the dance!!! Some of my Chinese Martial Arts Club mates were watching it with me and we started flipping out!!! I know that style!!!! It's the 8th form of DijiaBazhang (beginners' set to Baguazhang)! I could so do that dance!!! So much Bagua!!!! Eeeee!!! and Aang was in Snake pose in one of the frames!!! I only know the simple snake strike, not the form, but I know people who do the form!!!! Holy Flipping Friggin' Frill COW!!!! * Does DANCE of JOY* Wow! i can't wait to tell everyone at the next meeting!!! *Runs into the hall in a fit of excitement!!!*

We got dinner, I did some shopping, looked around with everyone (got a compliment in Spencers on how well behaved we were for a group), got shooed away by a security guard for playing the "How long can you hold a stance for?" game, and split a cinnamon bun with a friend. I got a cute vest from Wet Seal that goes great with my red hair and a ChocoCat sticker from Hot Topic.
Almost got into an accident on the way back, but God was with us, and I'm thankful for that. Phew! Then we got into such a great conversation about Disney World that we overshot our exit by ten miles. I paid my friend back for the gas since I was the navigator getting us back to the campus. Oops. But we all got back safe and I took a nice shower (which I needed. Black shirts, warm temperatures, and sunshine don't mix). And now I'm pooped. That was my awesome day (along with "Already What a Weekend")! See Y'all Later!
