The reason for this journal is to discuss something about the DA Groups. I think the Groups is a great feature, it's a good way to meet people with similar interests, promote events and such, but I'm having bad issues with the ammount of deviations submited by the members. Why don't add options to list the deviations separated by group and watchers in the message centre?

I am the kind of "deviant" that just watches friends and artists that I really admire and follow the work. This week the Taschen Books released the Illustration Now!3 and, by my surprise, my work is featured there.

Check out the pages, my work is in the pages 354 and 355. I noticed some mates from Depthcore in the book too: Nik Ainley, Matei Apostolescu, My Dead Pony (:devmydeadpony:) , Pawel Norbert... And some brazilian talents such: Kako, Daniel Bueno, Glauco Diógenes, Carlo Giovani, Tiago Hoisel among others.

I can't wait to get my copy of this book :). As soon I get it, I'll take some pictures.

I've been taking more and more time between new journals, but it doesn't mean I left DeviantArt, this is just lack of time to write something enjoyable for you. Regarding my last journal entry (March 8th!) I'm still busy with client works, my hand is fine but my i-Mac is not :(, the DVD reader/recorder is broken, at least the MacOSX cannot read it. The system says that I don't have any DVD recorder device installed... Any mac experts around?

Also I got an annoying semi-transparent vertical stripe on the right corner of my monitor screen. I don't have idea why this kind of thing started and I'm start to be worried. For me, the life has been incredible busy lately. I did a surgery in my right hand that took me away from works for one week. Can you imagine a surgeon that had his hands inactive due a surgery? Right now, I remember when I joined the DeviantArt community at 2004. I was in middle of  big changes in my life. I was leaving my parents home to live with my girlfriend (and future wife), I was leaving the old job to launch myself in a brand new and scary freelance life. I say scary because I didn't have any expectations that I could be sucessful... I just had a strong motivation and a silly courage to try, at least once in my life.

It's a micro pack, with few but great works, full of introspection and experimentalism.

My life is getting busy lately. With mostly of my time dedicated to clients, no time enough to work in new pieces and (actually) no great motivations. I think I'm not in a good and inspired time to make personal works right now. I hope it can be changed soon, when I get more free time.

Yeah, it's very simple, I'm not a webdesigner and I don't have strong knowledgment on codes, languages and such. I did this CSS following some tips and using some "cut and paste" method.

I still think to change the top image... Maybe I'll create some new works, specially for this journal..

Once I finished mostly of the works, I'm with some free time now. I have works to finish until wednesday (friday is a holiday around here). Maybe I can make something until the next weekend..:)

It's so quiet here since I posted the Wizard (http://crisvector.deviantart.com/art/Wizard-66112201), so I decided to write some news.

First. I've updated my website CrisVector.com with some new works in Vector, Kids and Editorial galleries. You'll see a new look for the front page too, now the website starts with the galleries links. I did this change because lots of people visit CrisVector.com and don't see the whole galleries. It's a way to make people know more about what kind of work I'm able to do.

Sorry for the lack of updates here. I've been working hard along the last weeks. Fighting with some bad clients, getting other important ones and doing a lot of illustration stuff. Recently I did the cover of the Capricho Magazine... It's the popular "teen" magazine in Brazil. It was funny drawing the brazilian "Big Brothers" withouth watch any episode..:) And now I finished an illustration of that famous producer "Timbaland" (Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake) to be published in the next Bizz Magazine here in Brazil. This mag is for music lovers, quite popular too.
