So now I have 3 weeks in which to enjoy myself; get stuffed, upload new stuff, paint, game and finally...Do some uni work


...I downloaded Castle Crashers and it's add-ons via Xbox Live....Figured it would be some light hearted fun to play co-op. It's such a great game! Although my fingers are numb from severe button mashing madness...
I'm a total achievement addict on my XBL profile. I'm even a member of the website TrueAchievements, so that I can plan what I want to get next! [link]
Decided there are some games I want to play more over Christmas break too...Mainly Mass Effect (So that I'm ready for Mass Effect 2 in Jan), Dirt 2 (still loads of achievements to get on it!), Castle Crashers (theres a few easy achievements to get!), Lost Odyssey (I have to finish that game some time!) and finaly, need to complete Batman:Arkham Asylum (It's such a great game!).
Lest I forget, I'll be playing MW2 all through Christmas as well...Not many achievements left on that now...Just Special Ops achievements and the Intel achievements to get...
I'm looking forward to the new year now...Lots of great games coming out...I'm going to be broke!...Let's see; Mass Effect 2, Bad Company 2, Army Of Two: The 40th Day, Final Fantasy XIII, Warhammer 40k:Space Marines, Bayonetta, Darkstalkers, Brink.....I'm sure there are more, I just can't remember them right now...

On another note, saw Marilyn Manson at Manchester Academy last Monday night. He was good...To be honest, I'm not that much of a fan, I went because my GF wanted to go. But he sang well, and there were lots of things going on on stage, so it was all good...Can't believe how many sweaty goth kids there were...and that was before the gig even started! Never known a gig to smell so bad of B.O before the gig even starts...

Eee, my City Of Fire tickets have been disbatched too ^_^

Once with City Of Fire on the 10th Jan and then again with Fear Factory on the 16th Feb!

Only downside is that Raymond (origional drummer) and Christian (long time bassist/guitarist) have practically beed axed out of the band...Raymond has commented on some of my work in the past and Christian is one of my idols! GUTTED that Dino (the fag/ex bassist/guitarist/new guitarist) has come back to FF too....He always seemed to be a bitch about FF while he wasn't with them...He failed with Divine Herasy in my eyes too...

Ah well, I will enjoy it reguardless!

Meh, should be finishing off my motion graphics project in time for tomorrow now...well dont want to!

P.S. Thought I'd try out this Ninja Assassin journal skin...Never really tried having a journal skin before, so I thought I'd go with what is most probably the most common skin on dA atm to give it a try!

So, I've been quite busy recently...Uni's going ok...All the impending doom of a motion graphics project is looming over my head at the moment. Ready to knock my senseless ofcourse. Can't wait till thats over! Got my grade back for the first project of my 2nd year of uni recently too. Its average. To be honest, I was expecting a lot less, lots of people failed and I knew that I hadn't gotten in to the project enough, so I'm quite glad of my average mark atm. Going to have to step up my game soon though...I've taken in so many new techniques over the past few months through various sources - I just need to put them in to practice....Maybe if I can pretend that MW2 doesn't exist, I'll try to bang one out tonight - update my gallery for a change!

I've mentioned a certain game a few times in this journal so far...And yes, I'm addicted. I blame work. Working at Gamestation with a bunch of other gamers is bad for my wallet and my uni course. Its always a competition to see whos got the upper hand in whatever game. In MW2 for example...I have a higher than average Kill/Death and win/lose ratio than most of my fellow collegues! My Xbox Live tag is CyberChristFF, so if you're online and up for a few games and chat, just add me and we can get down to mass killing!

Oh, oh! I recently saw Five Finger Death Punch and Shadows Fall at a gig in my home town recently...26th November at Manchester Academy...It was fucking amazing! Absolutely loved it. Ivan Moody's a bloody maniac!...Ordered his previous bands CD from amazon...Motorgrater I think they are called...Seemed decent enough on last.fm, managed to order it from one of the only UK sellers of the album on amazon so im looking forward to it arriving!
Still on the topic of music...Bought the Evile album 'Infected Nations' - its really good!..And they are British! Way to represent! Ordered the re-release of their debut album by their record label...apparently comes stacked with goodies, so im looking forward to that too

Thinking about it, I think I've spent quite a bit on music recently...probably about £30-£40...I suppose that isn't that much for someone willing to buy the real deal as opposed to cheap ass/illegal downloads....Combine that with my expenditures on games......and bloody birthday/christmas presents - and you've got a small fortune!

Think I should enter the fray of featuring soon. Get some Design and Interfaces pieces out there...Try my hand at a news feature.

For my first proper journal entry, I would like to draw attention to Soldier of Solace's new competition, aptly named; 'Soundforms and Artwaves Contest'.
The competition is basically about how music can relate to art and how it can inspire you. So this means that the entries for this comp should be based upon...music!
