I read World War Z by Max Brooks over my holiday, and I fucking loved it. Great book, well written, all around great stuff. Check it out for sure if you like zombies at all. Also read some comics--a few monthlies and one or two trades (Exterminators and Y).
My kids got lucky and each of them got a personal sketch from Jim Lee for Christmas--not only that, but he drew them on the inside cover of the Batman: Hush Absolute Editions. Wicked cool stuff. I told the kids they can't have them until they are 25 and past the point of selling them for whatever drugs kids will be doing in highschool when they get there!

I went over to and 's house, and , , , and I drew for at least 12 straight hours! ZCP is gonna be an amazing issue. Wait till you see the shit that these guys are putting down on paper.

Specifically, new stuff blows my fucking mind. I mean, he's always been good, but wait until you see what he's doing now. Seeing the pages he put together made me decide to re-write the story he is working on. His art is too good for the current story!

is gonna have some dead-sexy madness, and is gonna take you on a mind-bending trip to a world you've never imagined. I can't wait for you all to see this shit. Seriously. I just hope my contributions the comic live up to all of theirs!

Also, a shout out to the new ZCP inker, Mr. Ryan Skog. I'll scan some of his inks soon, but I must say I have been absolutely blown away with how well he reads my pencils. It makes my stuff look better than I ever knew it could! I'm so glad he's on board, and if we're lucky, he'll decide to stick around and keep on the series as a regular inker!

I miss my artist friends. I need to get over to the Yosh—like, now! I need to pump out more pages, and I need to expand my web presence. I need to tone down my distractions when I get home and focus on my art. I’ve already started to unload an arse-load of my miniatures on Ebay; this has allowed me some relief, and I’ve sold many of my video games that I don’t play. The goal is to get my studio cleaned out and down to the basics- COMICS! The games will always be mandatory as long as I work where I do, but I need to learn to better manage the limited time I have when I get home. Starting today. I start today when I get home. I just need to decide which book to work on. That’s where you all come in, help me decide:

Sup all. So, I’ve got about 2 pages of my new book penciled. I’ve been worried about not being able to nail everything perfectly, but Motorfish and I have been talking and figured the best thing to do is just to draw the fucking thing. So, I’m drawing it. Yep.
Also, I've been working on a mail-in course from the Kubert school I got some years ago. They are letting me start now, which is nice since it cost an arse-load of cash. I'm not so fond of the first assignment, but I suppose I should work on drawing stuff I don't like.
