Wow! don't know if I can do it, considering my production for the last 6 months has been reduced to 1 piece, a good piece yes indeed but still it is only 1.
But then again maybe it is the spur of inspiration I need to get at it and quit making excuses. Since there is no restriction on what creative medium is used then I may have a chance to succeed.

Yikes! I'm having serious computer troubles...seems the power supply is fried on my Laptop and my old back up (the one I am using at the moment) has "virtual memory" issues and is not very reliable.
At this point I have not been able to get a tech to look at either system. I'm not sure if I can swing buying a new computer and if I do it'll be a while getting here. *sigh*
All this translates into not necessarily being able to get online regularly or crashing in the middle of whatever I'm doing
My coffee maker is broken too.

July 11, 2009 - Update
Ok so I got a new coffee maker as a gift for Mothers Day...Yay!!!
However there is no chance for a new computer any time soon, too many other life disasters have come along to prevent it. If I do ever get the funds together for a new system I'll also have to get a another scanner/printer 'cause the one I have won't work with the new operating program MS Vista or whatever they are calling it now. I can't get it to scan with this older laptop either so even if I had some new artwork to upload I wouldn't be able. It's all just depressing.

Felt like I should change my journal since it was over a month old but don't have much to say other than...
- I've been very busy but not feeling like I am accomplishing anything of significance and only just now have had a chance to look at my life...
- haven't had time or inspiration to create any art I can post here...
- did create some awesome costumes for some folks going this weekend to Sakuracon (Anime convention)in Seattle... (hopefully someone will post photos of the event)

Otherwise life is boring just full of work and no friends or socializing so I wouldn't mind chatting if someone wants to discuss something that's on their minds

It's been so busy I haven't had much time for sketching and what I have done is less than satisfactory...hopefully now that the weather has changed and the lambing is almost over, things will settle into a routine again, I will get a chance to focus on some drawing...hmmm...although the garden is starting to call for my attention too, *sigh*...soon, very soon

The old adages...
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!"
"Don't try...do"

I think both of these are appropriate this day.

My New Year usually is quickly followed by a new season of lambs in the barn. A harbinger of life and change if there ever was one...
Last year was not what we would call a good year as we had far too many deaths for our small flock (one death is too many as far as I'm concerned) and although we took every step possible to prevent problems at that time and to learn from it for the future...our season has started off again this year with similar results. To say I'm discouraged is an understatement but we must continue, we have no choice, giving up is not an option... there are many that are alive and thriving that are counting on us to be there for them.

Perseverance, keep at it, don't give up...it'll all work out right in the end. We don't really have control over very much. We just do the best we can and that is considerable.

As I look back over the past year and remember my desire for a better, more fulfilled, future for myself in 2008, I must say not much changed for me ...although I have observed major changes in the lives of those around me. There is no logical reason to think anything will improve for me in 2009 or at any time for that matter.

So my wish this New Years is for everyone else to have futures that will bring them everything they need and desire.

Weeell not reaaally ...I consider it a major cheat that I just cut and pasted all the code, which was designed and offered for use by TrashyDragon, and it worked.

Still I am very pleased and will take some time to study how it was coded so I can eventually create my own original dA CSS. I will ...I really will, someday

Not much to add. Been a busy month in other areas of my life.

I have gotten nowhere with the CSS for this journal, as you can tell. I have a design idea and code set up but can't figure how to load it on dA so it works...it's probably something simple that my brain can't fathom without being hand fed the instructions step by step.

Not much time for sketching, either.

It's all rather frustrating. Must do something to change this soon.

I realized recently that I have been on dA for well over a year now and enjoy being able to view all the amazing work of other artists on a regular basis.

Often, instead of "watching" an artist,(not because I don't appreciate this feature but because I don't always have time when I am online to give proper attention to the art work and would rather look at it when I can give it the attention it deserves), when time allows, I'll go back into my favorites and check on new stuff done by artists I have liked before and usually I am very impressed with what I find.

It is difficult to favourite them all, plus I am always finding new artists and their work so I only fav what I think is exceptional. Of course "exceptional" is a personal judgment of my own which I do not expect others to necessarily share.

In any case, I have been so thoroughly enjoying the sharing and support offered through this community, the experience has lead me to take a more serious look at dA and to try a subscription, which is something I don't usually do...I don't even subscribe to a magazine of any kind, however, I thought I'd give it a try.

Plus I'd like to see if I can create a Journal page background with CSS and have some fun (HELP! Madhatch!)
