~AngelOfTheShadows & ~alcohol-user have thought that it is about time that we have another contest. The ~DAIntoxicated account needs a wicked CSS, we are in the process of getting it subscribed. So there is the challenge for you all, make us the best CSS for the Intoxicated journal that you can.

Good news for all of the friends off are admin member ~AngelOfTheShadows. Hopefully his mother will be getting thier internet connection back on Monday or Tuesday, so he should be back for long-term, unlike his recent short-term visit.

Also ~PimpinRose has remounced her duties as a Wasted staff member, so we've decided to promote =RyDoG due to the fact he's one of our oldest members, and also been staff for quite a long while now. ~ssaymssik09 is currently is Detox, away with her family for a few weeks. ~phantomvoices is still out-of-action thanks to boarding school and ~JasonHinnocks is still missing in the void of life...

Other then that, it was nice to see the room a bit more crowded last week with ~AngelOfTheShadows little visit. Hope to see that increase in people become a little more commen.

Well I've got a little bit of good news. ~AngelOfTheShadows is back for the week. He's spending some time at his grandparents place and taking full advantage of thier internet connection, YAY!

So due to this unexpected surprise, once me, him and =alcohol-user get a chance to chat together, will should hopefully have the results for our avatar competition, I'll keep you updated on that.

Other then that, I've been really slack with the whole 'getting online' thing over the last week or so. It's been my 21st, not to mention I gained over $1150 last week and will recieve another $1100 this coming week... So I've been out shopping and not here... But yeah, I'm trying to get everything done and such, keeping up to date and all that jazz. Just bare with me and my laziness.

Seems that even with the staff chages, due to the fact a lot of our 'away' staff are still away... It's still kinda shocking, but at least we have almost at least one staff member in DAI at any given time.

It's my 21st Brithday this weekend, so I won't be around much, just a warning to everyone =alcohol-user is going to my party, so the room will be void of 'Intoxicated' staff members on Saturday night... Well we'll be intoxicated, just not in the chatroom :P

The competition... I'm seriously thinking of ending it now, as I heard recently that ~AngelOfTheShadows could be gone for quite a few months... So yeah, I'll just see what else I can find out first.

Ok then.... BIG staff changes, due to unforseen circumstances... Damned fricking circumstances.... *gumbles*

I removed all the temp promotions. Though some people have remained where they were, due to needing new staff members.

~666holly has just been sent to foster care.... So god knows when we'll see her again, so she'll off our staff list for now. =alcohol-user is back(i think I mentioned it in the last journal) so he's back up in Intoxicated with me... Now we just need ~AngelOfTheShadows back, but hopefully that won't be too long from now.

I must say a big congradulations to *FaKeShAdOw and ~ssaymssik09 as they have both become permanant members of our 'Trashed' staff :) Also a BIG apoligy to *skeats who has been demoted... Sorry, but you've become less regular(and not just on DA), as much as I hate to do this... It's been done... sorry sean.

Also, for now ~phantomvoices shall remain in detox... Until I have the chance to speak with her and see what's going on... I'm imagining that will be another demotion due to absence... I reallly hate doing this shit... But yeah... It must be done.

Well we have some good news and some old news. Lets cover the good news first.

=alcohol-user has gotten himself a new pc, so he'll basically be back online 24/7 again. Also *phantomvoices has her first week off boarding school, so she's back for the week(lets hope this weeks off school are commen :P).

For now I'll leave the temporary promotions as they are, but when ~AngelOfTheShadows gets back(in about 3-4days hopefully) I'll replace everyone to thier original positions.

Other then that no other news really. The competition is still going, until ~AngelOfTheShadows is back anyways... So you may only have 3-4days left to enter if you want to, so get your entries in!!! And that'll do today, hopefully I'll have something more interesting to say next time.

Well ~JasonHinnocks made his leave on Sunday, also for all of those friends of ~Viciousphil(aka~JustinesPhoenix) his Dad has disconnected his internet connection, so he's also out-of-action for now.

So that's it, I'm down to 5remaining staff and my temps... Tragically the room has become rather quiet lately, at times... Maybe I'm just online at the wrong times... Dosen't help I've been having issues with Java, so signing into dAmn has been a task for me lately...

General reminder about the competition, it's still running & I'm still hoping for more entries. I imagine you've got a week, maybe two, before ~AngelOfTheShadows comes back and we're able to choose a winner, so anyone who was wanting to enter, I suggest get a move on.

Anyways, that's everything for today I think. I'm kinda busy these days, thinking of getting some of my long awaited art finished, not to mention another little task I've found for myself recently... But yeah, come visit me in DAI, who knows... I might reveal my little 'task' :P

Also, update on =alcohol-user. He is able to chat in #DAIntoxicated, but only when he has the topic set as nothing, as his resolution on his pc is stuck on 640x460(or something like that) but hopefully he'll be getting a new pc soon, as his b'day is coming soon, and he's worked out an agreement with his mother for a new machine :P

My staff issues are as such: ~AngelOfTheShadows is away due to phone connection issues, =alcohol-user's pc has shat itself, he can still get online, but for the time being he won't be in #DAIntoxicated much, and I imagine his computers on it's last legs, so he might not even be online for much longer. *phantomvoices left for boarding school yesterday and on Thursday ~JasonHinnocks will be away while moving state and such... So I'll be down 4staff members all together.

Due to these circumstances the competition will continue until further notice, as I don't know when I'll have my fellow admin back to help me choose a winner anytime soon. Also I've decided to do some temperary promotions. ~666holly will join me up in 'Intoxicated', =RyDoG and =PimpinRose will be promoted to 'Wasted', and I've also decided that a couple of our regulars will be temps in the 'Trashed' staff group. Both ~n3m1515 and ~FaKeShAdOw recieve this possition thanx to how regulary they appear in the room.

Other then all that, I still appreciate anything anyone can do for me, warnings to people about The Rules and consequences etc. as I have recently gained some responsibilities for another Group, and I'm a little overwhelmed. Also come and crowd the room for me people.... don't let these new promoties think it's all for nothing :P

Also I wanna thank everyone who offered there help to me, it's appreciated, but I made my decisions for promotions based apon what attendence I saw this week... If anyone thinks someone else deserved the temo job more-so, I will listen to anyones concerns etc. As I'm not always online myself, and there may be someone more suitable that I'm unaware of :)

Well, I was just sitting here, having my brekky bongs... as I do & then I come across with note from =alcohol-user... apparently his pc is fucked AGAIN... so God knows how long I'll have to do without him this time... SO now it's both ~AngelOfTheShadows & =alcohol-user gone.... I'm ll on my lonesome in the admin... I'm gonna need everyone to like, try and make an effort here, come in, keep the room on check, let me know if anything stupid happens when i'm not around and so forth... Anything anyone can do to help me out would be great... I might even promote one of the lower staff for a short period of time.... We'll see.

Well firstly, one of our highest admin ~AngelOfTheShadows is out of action. Something going on with his phone connection, so he now has no access to the internet.... It could be anywhere from a week to a month... I miss him already :(

Thought it was about time I updated again, so well.... here I am. Also we've gained a few new members(up to 108 now and one of these days we'll hit 2000 pageveiws too....) and nothing like finding a journal entry in your inbox to make ya feel truly initiated :P

He hasn't been online for a long time, and apparently there have been some disagreements between him and other members... and well disagreements of any kind are things we tend to try and avoid in DAI. O.K. So today was the deadline for the competition. We've recieved 9 awesome entires, pretty good for our first comp I think... and considering the room is still growing and such. Me and ~alcohol-user should have the winners up as soon as possible, depending on how wasted we are and how long it takes for our minds to realise we've got something important to do :P

Well I ahve some good news.... and some good news, which would you like to hear first :P Nahh but seriously, this week just keeps getting better and better for the ~DAIntoxicated community, hence why I thought I'd let you all know.

OK so one of our staff members ~666holly has been unble to get on dAmn for about 2months, she's now back!! WOOT!!! WELCOME BACK HOLLY!!!

On the matter of staff, I'm thinking about perhaps promoting someone else. =SAFFLEUR has recently decided to leave dAmn, at least for the time being... so there goes another staff memeber... But we'll see, I shall disguss it with ~alcohol-user next time it comes to mind.

I thought it was about time I gave you all an update on the latest happenings in the room. Also thought I'd do a little renovating of the journal, as it seems a little bare compaired to others I've seen.
Our founder and creator ~alcohol-user is still absent. Last time I spoke with him he claimed he'd have a new computer around x-mas time... x-mas has been and gone, and still no Francis. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
We've been gaining quite a few new members lately. There's been a few promotions here and there. I've also demoted a few people. If you notice that you are back in the 'Straight' group and wish to be promoted to something else, just let me know in the room or note me. Also I have added two new groups. IThinkThatsEnough which is for those of you who need some quiet time and Trashed, for the people who aren't quite Wasted.
Thought I may start including the staff members and the rules within each journal entry. Gives people a more instant idea of what the room is like.

The Rules of Intoxication:

1. Respect each others life choices. Whether it be a kind of alcohol or drugs or something else all together. People have reasons for what they do, or choose not to do.

2. Disrespecting or abusing of others beliefs, life choices and culture will be punished with kicking and banning, this includes sexism & racism. No exeptions.

3. If someone appears distressed or anger/depressed etc. Do not bother them, unless they choose to speak about what is on thier mind. We all have a right to our privacy if we choose to keep things to ourselves.

4. On that same note, no offensive jokes. Especially ones about suicide or self-harm. Even if everyone thought it was funny at the time, it can be triggering, and there are more people out there affected by such things then you'd think.

5. Please, if you which to spam something(chatroom, deviation etc.) just ASK! Depending on what you want to spam and/or it's content, will be the basis on whether or not we allow it.

There will be more rules to come, as more issues present themselves within the room.
