The last post I made was...to get a Thanksgiving post off. And Thanksgivings tomorrow. Wow I neglect this thing. Well, that's hopefully gonna change. I've gotten myself out of a near year-long funk and now I actually want to get some stuff done. As for what stuff, well, dunno yet. Gotta get meh stuff in order. But I'll have regular updates. Mostly sketches. But once I get some shit done on my end, it's gonna be a lot more finished drawings. Mostly character designs, as that's what I like drawing most. So, single person who looks at my page, prepare for STUFF.

...

Did I just repeat every other post I have ever made on this page?

I don't know if it was the exercising of muscle I probably never used or even knew I had or what, but I felt sick to my stomach all day today. Next lesson is tomorrow. Still going. My goal as of now is to actually finish a lesson without huddling in the corner for the last half hour.

In other, slightly better news, I got the cord for my scanner. Finally. So tomorrow I should be able to update. I'm not even gonna touch my backlog. It's just to big. I'm going to post some of my newer stuff, and maybe hack a bit at the pile. PREPARE FOR ROBOTS WITH MONOCLES AND MIDGETS WEARING GIGANTIC SOMBREROS. (Just a hint of what I've been drawing lately.)

EDIT: God dammit. Now I need the SOFTWARE for the scanner. And dad threw out the disc. Anyone know where I can get the software for a Dell Photo 924 Printer/Scanner?

But knowing my work ethic, that could be a few more months.

Last night, Star Wars: The Clone Wars premiered on Cartoon Network. I missed the feature film, but if the TV show is any indication of it's quality, I want to see it even MORE. Seriously. From the two episode shown, I can make a pretty good guess of how it's gonna be. Each episode is made to be like it's own Star Wars film. No opening, just the logo flashing across the screen with the classic fanfare. The only thing missing is the text crawl, replaced with a voice over, which is a pretty good idea considering its a half-hour weekly series. It's much more interesting, and faster. The only complaint is the voice of the announcer. Seriously. It's terrible. But despite this, everything is damn good. I have have a new show to program into the DVR. 4/5

Every generation, in my opinion, has a day like this. Where people will remember exactly what they were doing when it happened. For my generation, that day was 9/11.

I was in 6th grade, Ms. Hackbarths class at W.T. Hoag Elementry. I was doing a spelling test when a teacher ran in an started talking quietly Ms Hackbarth. I couldn't here what they said, but I knew it wasn't good news. She ran to the TV and turned on CNN. We all saw the Twin Towers smoking. We had, thankfully, missed when the second plane came. The image of the Towers burning was disturbing enough. I wish I could remember that scene more vividly, but I was young and couldn't understand. My family watched the news during dinner for the first time. I don't think my parents ate very much.

Now that I'm older, I know what happened. I have a basic idea of the politics. I know enough to be absolutely disgusted by the conspiracy theorists that say it was an inside job. I am equally disgusted by the government that took advantage of us in such a distraught state to start a war in a place we never had any right to be in the first place.

On that note, look at the date in the subject bar. September 11th, 2007. Look at the year. 2007. Not 2001. It's been six years. Yes, we need to remember what happened. But what we shouldn't do is dig up the still fresh wounds every year by replaying the old news footage. I've seen enough. I'm sick of it. It's time to move on. Life is going on now. Last year in my school, they did not do anything for 9/11, for the first time since it happened. It was just another day. It was great. We could live again. The next week there was a scathing editorial in the school newspaper criticizing the principal for this decision. This year we had a full 5 memorial and the longest moment of silence I've ever had. Stop dredging up the wounds. Remember in your own way. Don't force people to relive that horrible day. Just don't.

Fweeeee. For those of you following along with my situation, i have good news. For those who haven't, here's a recap, as I have no idea how in depth I got and I'm too lazy to check.

I fail English two semesters in a row last year. My dad gutted all the electronics from my room. To get it back, I had to read the two books I didn't read in school (Lord of the Flies and Ordinary People, both of which I strongly dislike, hence why I didn't read them), and give him book reports on each. I ended up passing the class overall, but that made no difference. I currently have the report on Lord of the Flies done.

Now the new stuff: My family just spent most of August redoing my room. That means tearing down all the new drywall, and but up new stuff. AND I HALPED! (Sorry. Inside joke.) So due to my hard work, my dad has given me my stuff back, but I thirty days to get the Ordinary People book report done or takes all out again.

I also got a new TV in my room. Because my dad broke my old one. Yeah.
