Sorry I haven't replied to any of my messages as of lately. Kinda burned out atm but hopefully I'll get back in the swing of things before long.

Also been busy shopping for new backpacking gear. I already had a backpack and stuff but it was an old external frame and all my gear was on the heavy side. So in the process of basically upgrading my stuff and buying Jenn all new stuff. So far we have bought us backpacks. Only thing I don't have to upgrade is my Snow Peak titanium stove :love: :D Seems like this is gonna cost us a fortune but I'm so ready to go backpacking and camping.

Went back to the park today. Got several good photographs of some butterfly and other insects.


The wind was really crazy and strong at times. Made it a real challenge but I like a challenge. Also I prefer to shoot insects while they are active. Just seems more interesting and again... more challenging.

Does make we wish my macro lens was repaired already. It can be a real pain only having manual focus at times. Maybe after christmas I can send it off to be repaired.

Been a busy busy week and it's only monday. I really need to find me a new job but there isn't much out there at the moment.

Do have a crap load of new pictures to go thru... edit... and catalog.

I've been experimenting a lot with using my flash. So far I have learned that dslr's have a mind of there own at times.


I've got my film camera back out... think i might shoot some with it on the next photo trip.


Still wish I was here... was a peaceful and enjoyable day with just me, Jenn =MaiganLeigh and nature. Can't wait to get back. :D

Had a wonderful weekend with my wife and daughter at Old Stone Fort Park in Manchester, TN. I managed to shoot some new pictures but don't think I shot enough :lol:

Double Falls I believe this area is called. Very nice place to sit and relax.

Honestly I never understood why they bothered bringing back a macro category in photography. Years ago there was a macro gallery and it didn't work. It stayed a total mess. Now when you go to the macro category in photography it's the same crap. I would say 99% of the pictures in that category are not macros.

Guess some don't learn from past failures :shrug:

Also today the hard drive that holds all of my photographs quit working during a back up. I took the hard drive apart and hopefully fixed it long enough to attempt another back up. So far it's been working for 30+ minutes. There is also all my graphics and fractals stored on that hard drive but I don't care about those... Just wanna save the pics :P

They found several masses which turned out to be cancer. At first she was doing good. The doctors did surgery to remove some of the masses and gave her radiation treatment. Things shortly after that took a turn for the worst. The cancer just started growing and spreading like wild fire. The doctors only gave her 4 days to live and that was back in January. She had made it till now and things was starting to turn around for the better but things have turned to the worst again. She has a tumor on her spine and it has shifted and left her paralyzed. Mom is in the hospital now but she's coming home this weekend. Hospice is going to take over her care. It's just a matter of time...

:bulletred: My macro lens auto focus quit working :( Isn't a big deal since I use manual focus probably 90% of the time. Still sucks that it doesn't work no longer. Fucked up part last time I used it was working fine. :shrug:

Also my scanner broke today... luckily I can fix it. :)
