I haven't felt like doing much besides lazing around for a while. Which is exactly what I've been doing.. I guess I don't spend a lot of time on the computer on summer break anymore. I've done a lot of stuff, just not online.

*The heaters in our house were changed. We now have water ones instead of electric ones. Neato. Also because of that I was offline for almost a week and the house was a mess. Good thing I could stay at mom's place. =_=

*Vesperia owns yo mama. If you have an Xbox 360, buy Tales of Vesperia. Honestly, I could go on for hours about how mind-numblingly awesome it is, but I won't, 'cause I'm kinda tired.

*Went on a day trip with ~Lotty-sama and her family. It was completely random and unexpected, but fun.

*Been betatesting Aion: The Tower of Eternity. Not the best game I have ever played, but its pretty cool. My sister and I have joined an rp circle and will be making our own guild.

*Bought a Wii! I haven't had a lot of time to play though... :/

*Bought a new bookcase and a wall shelf. More room for manga! I also got some boxes to put all my old drawings in, but... somehow it doesn't feel like I've freed up any space. O_o

*Also, NärCon is next week, thursday to sunday... for a while there it looked like I wouldn't have any place to sleep but things turned out well in the end. It'll be my first anime/gaming con too, so I'm really excited <3

*My granpa is gonna be hospitalized to remove a tumor. I don't know how bad it is, because somehow I always seem to end up out of the loop ("Huh? Didn't I tell you last week?" No, you didn't.) I try not to be too worried since it seems okay, but, well you know... He's my granpa.

Feels like it's been a whole eternity since last time I made a new journal entry. Yeah, I haven't been active for a few days but I've been tired =w= I still am.
But I'm also feeling WEIRDLY SHOUJO because I decided to re-read my old DN Angel books... I just now remembered how much I actually like that series, even though I'm not that into shiny animu any longer... it also kinda annoys me that the Swedish publisher Bonnier Carlsen's manga books have a much smaller format than, say, Tokyopop does. >_>
Man, I also feel like re-reading Tsubasa and Rurouni Kenshin and Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro and Kuroshitsuji and Mushishi... XD But I haven't got any time for that cuz I've gotta finish FFIX, Professor Layton and LoZ: Phantom Hourglass... why do I keep buying games I never finish (even though I love them)?.. XD

1. I don't have time to rewrite the script errors.
2. I need to practice a LOT more using Manga Studio before attempting a longer story. I realized this when I was trying to ink and tone some random pages for practice.

In other news, I felt like making a new journal entry. I wanted to tell you guys how awesome my friends are, because without them I would've been lonely all weekend. Now I remember why I don't like dogs. No, really...

I don't like dogs because cats don't like dogs.

See, I was talking to my brother on webcam when he wanted to see the cat, so I bring her. Then my aunt's dog comes along, and kitty freaks out.

I had to clean the scratches with disinfectant and put plasters on; I was bleeding... and it fucking stings still.


Besides that, I have news that may please some of you (I hope).

I've started drawing some MOB pages again and will post them on SJ when I have a few done. Don't expect anything this weekend or next week though. Probably during the week following next week. I'll make a journal update when I update.

Dubs. Is it okay to rename characters if the voice actors can't pronounce the original ones to save their lives?
Although I dislike renaming characters, I'm forced to say yes. I can take bad voice acting but improper pronounciation just ruins the experience for me.

I'm extremely skeptic towards art. Especially when you can't tell the difference between a genuine Jackson Pollock and a 2 year old's scribbles. Classically abstract art doesn't say me much in the first place, but it's getting ridiculous. These days you'd call anything art- even a woman peeing in public (yes, its happened at some art exhibition in the south of Sweden two or three years ago).

I mean, where do you draw the line? What's art? Is splashing paint on a canvas or some lines on a paper really art, just as long as there's thought behind it?

On one hand, I can understand that some art is meant to be pondered and that there are billions of ways to express yourself through genres and styles. But on the other hand, is something that just about anyone can do without much thought or effort really art?

I just don't know.

And it was strange...

I was a POWER RANGER MARINER! Eat that XD

Me and a lot of other people were rowing a galley on a huge icy lake surrounded by snow hills, and we were outfitted in some sort of power ranger-like outfits (spandex and helmet) O.o
So, uh... our commander Sephiroth (that's right, Sephiroth) was standing on some kind of stage in front of the rowers and trying to coerce government officials with medeval weaponry.. like, old cannons and stuff like that.

And then all of a sudden the ship started sinking! Really, really fast. I climbed onto what looked like a tiny island made of cork with a palm tree on it, and I was really angry at Commander Sephy because my DS got soaked.

Then I woke up from one of my weirdest dreams ever (if you exclude that time I ran an obstacle course with Eiri Yuki from Gravitation).

Sorry about my absence all, rest assured I'm back and feeling better. The matter that got me down is not resolved yet, and I doubt it will be for a while, but at least it doesn't seem to get worse.

In any case, I don't know if I'll submit a lot of deviantions in the days to come, since I'm going to be working on some of my techniques.

I forgot to announce it earlier, but I've restarted What's In A Life? (my webmanga). I currently only have two covers and one page submitted, but I'm expecting that to pick up once school is out. WHICH IS ON THURSDAAAAAYYY!!!

First off, you may have noticed the abovemost link.. yeah, I decided to start a sketchblog, rather than placing sketches/doodles or half-measure artwork here. Which means I'm gonna try to clean my gallery of old, crappy stuff (with a few exceptions). It's also a way for me to organize myself...

But I'm happy! Because I now have a four day weekend. *happy sigh* But a lot of it will have to be spend doing piles of "have-to" stuff. Blah.

But, since it's my mum's birthday, we're going to celebrate that with lots of good food and cake tomorrow. I'm looking forward to that

I've begun chipping down on my homework assignments, and I think I'll be able to finish them all within a month or so, unless I run into any difficulties. Which, of course, means the hiatus on my webcomics will end. ^^
