So I should be working on it right now harhar. I was busy todai lawls. ^^ Ha, and I got headphones, so I have the courage to fix my iPod, which is also taking up time tonight.

Oh well haha.

Well this is just all fine and dandy.

I don't have my own computer anymore, my family doesn't have its own computer anymore, there are not computers with drawing programs, I can't put anything of my own on those computers anyway, my Photoshops all ran out of licenses, our printer doesn't work anymore, the scanner isn't set up to any computer nor will it be, and now, my tablet broke. So you guys won't be seeing any art from my for a LONG, LOOOONG time. Oh yeah, my heating pad broke, too. That's a big part of my life (I have a disorder-type thing so I NEED it).

For now the only art I can post is art that I take pictures of with my phone. And that's it. Pretty sad, eh?

Arts noe moarz:
And my family ain't exactly what you'd call rich. Really, the opposite. And a BIG BIG part if my life is drawing on the computer, and I can't do that anymore. It makes me uterly sad. I can't even draw on website programs all because my tablet mysteriously broke, which I just found out about not even 5 minutes ago, probably from the trip back from my mom's this summer. Whenever I hover the pen over the tablet, it's on a click-lock, and I think it's because the tip was pushed too far into the pen. It's making me SO mad!!! And I've had this tablet since my birthday 3(I think) birthdays ago . Yeah, my first and only tablet. This is just downright great for me. Yah. No more arts. Which means not even any Silas!!! Too bad...

Dead & Commishes:
SO I guess you guys can just count my art officially dead. That is, until I get all the money I need. Which will never happen. So it'll be until never, sorry. I would do commissions, but a)I'm already doing commissions and NOBODY from here on dA has commissioned me, and b)I can't draw any commissions on the computer for them. But if you guys are really so nice...

I could do commissions ONLY of, say, paintings, or pencils drawings (yes I DO do them. I don't only do digital art. It just takes a long longer and a lot more patience.) Even sketches I'm okay with. ANYTHING traditional. Even sculptures. Of course, I'd have to take the pics with my phone (or my camera if I ever put new batteries in it), but a)my phone's still-pic camera isn't so bad, and b)I can still mail the original piece to you.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEAAASEEE!!!!
Please guys YOU are my only hope for getting new art up!!! You won't see anything good from me until I do get the money for all these things! Such as -tablet -'nother PS -computer. That, my leetle friends, is a LOTTA money. And I'll have to pay for it all. *sigh* So I'm asking you guys to help me so I can further my future of art. I can't improve unless I can actually practice. You guys would be a great help. I need ALL the help I can get!!! So PLEASE spread the word! I would REALLY appreciate it if you know Photoshop and read this journal and replied to your best.

The version I'm using is PS 5.0 and I'm on a Windows PC.

(Just for info.: ) When I opened Ps to work on something else today, everything was reset and I don't know why. Anyway, when I opened the drawing I was working on earlier, it wanted to save as something like "namehere_edited1" (I replaced the real name with namehere) and the "Save in Version Set with Original" was checked.

(More Just for info: )So I saved an image I sent myself from my phone. I've done this before (it's the way I did all 4 Silas refs so far with no problem for those).

So I saved it as a PNG and opened it in PS and it came up with an error in which I have no idea what means. It said: "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file."

Then I opened it in MS Paint (worked perfectly fine) and saved it as a different file, also in PNG. I opened it in PS and it worked.

Then I wanted to resize the image size. I went to the resize image window, and it wouldn't let me change the size unlinked (uncheck "Constrain Proportions") unless I checked "Resample Image". Now I forget if that's normal because everything already reset. But I find it a little fishy.)}

(The REAL deal: ) Now I'm trying to make a border, the way I always make a border. I selected the whole canvas and went to Select>Modify>... Contract (nor others) wasn't highlighted! It would let me use it... Then I tried something else-- I selected a random selection box that WASN'T the whole canvas and went to Select>Modify, and I COULD choose Contract that time!

I would really like to know what happened to my PS... I know nobody has fiddled around with it. It was working just FINE 2 days ago.

So PLEASE if you have any idea how to fix this let me know. No flaming please!! :3

(BTW, I can't get help from Adobe because the only thing I found that can help me with this is a forum-based thing and I'm guessing no one would answer me anyways.)

But here's a problemo--> the cover.
It's really drawing a blank card on me. I can't think of a good cover design for Silas. I've got so many thumb sketches but none of them are sparking at me. I'll have the sketches up sometime soon and I'll have a poll so you guys can vote on the best one! I also except any ideas you guys might wanna throw at me!

And here's another problem--> background characters.
I'm in desperate need of cameos!!! In the comic there's gonna be a lot of dogs and wolves hanging out in the background and I can't just come up with a whole bunch of random designs. So I'm asking for you people to send me your charries--wolf or dog-- so I can use them in my comic!!! For a limited time I'm willing to accept cameos for free. YEP it's that time again... Well that was random. Anywho,

I'm saving up money... AGAIN. For a camera that I really want to buy. It's actually not thaaat expensive considering it's an HD camera and comes with 2 sort of expensive programs. But the thing is is that it doesn't come with a memory card. LOLS NO SD CARD WTF?!?! And it's from Walmart.com *SQUEE*

Soooooo I need money to replace the money I'm using to buy the freaking thing. I'm already selling a lotta my books, but that won't make enough money... and neither will selling my current camera. i hate that thing. ICKKK.

And... euh.... there's a virus on my computer.... I'm on my dad's right now.... TT______TT!!!!!!! I'm so sad!! That baby is my life. D'X No Photoshop for me for a while.... .-. News:
Oops, sorry about not updating in a biiig while!!!! Well, here it is... all the news...

Herhsey:
Well Herhsey's birthday was on March 6th, and two weeks later he died overnight. About a week before his peace, he had a seizure.

He was fine, sleeping on the couch, my sister and I were watching TV or something, and my dad was in the garage working on his wood stuff. My brother... Idk. I never know where he is. Anyway, I heard Hershey's tags bang together and looked over, thinking he was just trying to get up, moving his legs and struggling. Less than a second later I realized it was serious and he kept struggling, his legs trembling and his eyes looking nowhere. For a second neither of us knew what to do, just staring at him. Then I told her to get over there while I get my dad, which I did. We came back, holding him, trying to end it. Hershey finally stopped, his tongue hanging out of his mouth. I opened his mouth and it slid back in. He was fine, just shocked. From then on whenever he was sleeping (which was a lot) I was near him.

Then, the night before he passed, I had him sleep in my lap for most of the day 'till the end. I knew, somehow, deep in my heart, which I didn't want to listen to, that that would have been his last night. His breathing was very shallow. Finally when I put him to his crate, I knew but didn't listen to myself neither did I tell anyone his fate of that night. My dad told me the take his collar off, and I did. I didn't want to take it off just in case he could have had another seizure, silently. But I did... and knew that was the last he'll wear it.

When I went to bed, I saw at my digital clock that it was one of those times like 11:11pm. Those are supposed to be magical times and you're supposed to wish something when you see it. I thought, maybe, if I wished for Herhsey to survive that night, it might work that one time. But I also thought it was no use. Nothing could help him now. And I knew... well duh.

The next morning, I awoke many times half-awake by my sister balling beneath me on our bunk bed. I was half-awake, remember, so I was thinking "Oh you big baby... I'm trying to sleep here. Maybe I should go down and comfort her. It's probably just a nightmare." Then when I woke up and couldn't fall back to sleep, I finally realized it-- what would my sister, Hershey's owner, sob about the most? It seemed like hours of crying. It was Hershey. I had been right. I felt like going down and comforting her again, but I didn't have the guts.

So the day went on. When I went to my dad's room (where Hershey sleeps in his crate) to pick out clothes, I went to his cage. I slipped my hand in there, just to feel him one last time. His fur was so memorable, but now I wish I could feel it more. (I do have some fur from brushing him one time in a bag somewhere. I think my dad threw it away though...) That's when it hit me. I hadn't cried the whole day, and when I felt his cold, stiff body (yes I washed my hands after) I started to silently tear. Life wouldn't be right without him. I didn't believe he was gone. I felt he was still with us. He couldn't just come into life, pass through tough obstacles in life for 2 years, and leave so suddenly. At first I didn't even believe he was dead. I felt that magic could be real and when I walk home the next school day I would see him in the window, wagging his tail and greeting us like he usually had.

But he was gone. We had the funeral, some of the next door neighbors (who have a Yorkipoo that's like a year older than Hershey or more), my dad, my sister (balling), me, and my dad's girlfriend (now broken up). My brother didn't even know about it until the end of the day, when we told him, and he was like (unsympathetically) "Oh. I knew it would come sometime soon. Oh well." Again, to Hershey "not being dead," I kept thinking I would hear him, feel him, see him, somehow. He had to have been with us. I was staring straight at his corpse. He looked alive. I thought I saw his chest move, I thought it could start moving again. But i was wrong. Maybe I'll even write a book about him in my Hershey's Chocolate journal someday. But hey, I have an all-life-long writer's block and I can't write for junk pile.

So anyway, yeah he's dead... I still need to paint his portrait on one of his raw hides (which are probably thrown away). I thought of that idea when my brother told me that canvases and raw hides are almost the same material, so I thought it would be cool to paint on one. But I also have a small oval canvas, perfect for a dog portrait.

It's SOO hot here!!!!
Actually it's on-off. It's always like that here. That's because he doesn't know people do commissions for art that's cartoony and easy to do. He thinks all commissions are super realistic. And also because he doesn't know about dA. He was like "well people need to know how your art is before hand" and I was like "websites duh"... so yeah.
We have no idea how to get the money through, since dA isn't like eBay or whatever. So please tell me if you can!!!

The samples I need to do. Lol. Plus I lost my camera (I JUST had it!) which I would take pictures of things that don't fit in my scanner. (lol like whut? Like a T-shirt thats what.)

If you are experienced in commissions, feel free to give me money suggestions.

Hershey, my Yorkie, now knows sit and shake!!! He will absolutely not learn lie down, because when he does sit, we put our finger down in front of him and say, "Lie down." In stead of lying down, he tries to get the treat from our hands. ^^ My dad is in the process of teaching him fetch. He still hasn't learned it exactly. Hershey slept almost the whole trip (7:30 hours) out of state.

NEW! A Free Digital How-to-Draw Animals Workbook by Kacee!
I am making a tutorial-booklet thing. What is it? It is a how-to-draw wolves & dragons mega tutorial. I am putting my own little tuts together with Adobe Photoshop 3.0 & WordPerfect 11.0/9.0. It has 4 sections: You, Dragons, Wolves, and Reflections. YOU explains what characters, fursonas, anthropomorphics, etc. are. It also sees how you draw beforehand, what you think about your drawings beforehand, and just plain about you. DRAGONS & MYTHICAL CREATURES is a section on how to draw dragons and mythical creatures. WOLVES, COYOTES, & FOXES explains how to draw mainly wolves, but its canine friends also. REFLECTIONS is about a test. You reflect on some things you have learned about drawing. Also, you draw the things and reflect on how well you have improved.
The reason am telling you this is because I am wanting to see if anyone will be wanting this workbook. It will be completely free. I suggest you getting it if you truly feel you are worse then me at drawing either wolves, dragons, or both, because all of the tutorials are instructed and put together by me.
If you feel the need for the workbook, send me a note or comment on this journal with some kind of online contact information so that I can send you the files. Warning: they will be big files! You have to be able to view wordPERFECT files and PNG files, for that is what they'll be. Plus, there will be lots of files! What you need to do once you receive the files is print them out and either read, write, or draw on the necessary pages IN ORDER PLEASE.
So what do I need to do in order to get one?
