1. The last time I did a list like this I utterly embarrassed myself.
2. I've never had a real job, though I did get payed by my parents for working on a farm last summer.

The world of the roleplay is seemingly very similar, at least in physicality, to ours. The countries all look fairly the same, but there is a large difference.

Magic is very much alive here.

15,000 years ago, a very well established, technologically advanced civilization was wiped off the face of the planet by a horde of those who believed that technology was the ultimate evil. The civilization was largely forgotten, and the magic-users rose to power.

Follow me now to present day. A small group of scientists, hidden in the eastern island country of Aven, the only country sympathetic to science in a world where it is largely outlawed, have discovered this ancient civilizations. Using their discoveries, they develop sciences that in some instances surpass magic altogether. But time is running out. The other countries, led by the warlike, large Ermile Coalition have decided to break the century-long piece following the third world war and are forming an offensive against Aven. Aven has gathered its few allies, including the large, heavily populated, but nonmilitant Raet. But they cannot hold out.

This is where you come in. Your character can be either a scientist, a mage, or a soldier. You, and your actions, may very well shape the world.

Advantages:

Scientist: Alterance of self, advanced weaponry.

Mage: Effecting others with magic, healing, far-seeing, government support.

Soldier: Weaponry, free healers, free food, heroism, a chance to conquer.

Disadvantages:

Scientist: Threats from outside countries, lack of travel, lack of freedom.

Mage: No mage can use his magic on humans. Ex: You can set the air around someone on fire, burning them, but you can't turn them INTO a fire. Healing is simply the act of removing blood, bacteria, etc. to speed the healing process naturally.

Soldier: No magic allowed, extremely dangerous situations.

The other bands there were KillHannah, Flyleaf, and Resident Hero. But Sickpuppies were the best. When I met them, they were really nice, we shook hands, had like a five-minute chat.
