Hello my fellow literature lovers, writers, and readers. The journal duties for DLD will be taken over by me, =Jazzman1989 and my partner in crime ~3wyl We shall assist you on all your journal needs.

We wanted to start off by introducing ourselves so:

My name is Wes, and I am a writer of poetry and sophomore English major with a classical studies minor at Rollins College. You will hear more about me later or some of you may know me already, all the better!

My name is Elaine, and I am an appreciator of all types of art. I am involved in many projects for underappreciated artists, so if you would like to get your pieces out there, don't hesitate to contact me!





We are here on behalf of DLD to improve the journal so it looks not only fantastic, but it is easier to use and look at. Over the next couple days and weeks will be:

organizing the previously featured deviants box so that not only can our admins find what they need easier, but also you don’t have to look down a list a mile long to see your name.

we shall be redesigning the CSS for the journal so it matches not only the color scheme, but it is also a bit easier to look at and read!

holding a get to know your admins and staff, where we will interview and feature them for our members to see and discover.

and most importantly be there for our members so they can know what is going on with their club.

Now shortly, you will receive a poll asking what YOU, our members, would like to know about their admins and staff at DLD, so please be honest, vote, and comment.

Additionally, if you have any suggestions to do with the Journal or DailyLitDeviations in general, please comment!

Wow! Thanks, everyone, for that heartfelt welcome! I can feel the love and well wishes! And it is much needed, as I take the reins offered by =VertigoArt. I am humbled by his confidence in me as new owner of DLD, and I will strive to keep it a community of support for writers. I wish Will luck in his future endeavors. In appreciation for his creation and love of DLD, we will have a special Newsletter featuring =VertigoArt and his wonderful works Monday, June 1, as we say goodbye to Will as Admin.

As with any change, there are bound to be bumps in the road. If you, at any time, see something that needs improvement, please do not hesitate to leave us a note. We will review and rectify the problem as soon as possible.


OPEN ADMIN POSITIONS:

With the takeover of new ownership, and the loss of a General and a Poetry Admin who had to step down, there are several more openings for Admin positions available. Those of you who have turned in an application for the Prose Admin position might be interested in another Admin position, so at this time I will be disregarding all applicants and accepting new ones. This means that if you are still interested in the Prose Admin position, you must resubmit your application. I apologize for the need to repeat this step, but it saves on confusion as we have hundreds of applications to go through.

Below are the positions open and their duties:

GENERAL ADMIN: Since I am stepping up as owner, and =Eloquent-Weapon is unable to act as General Admin at this time, there are two positions open for this spot. As General Admin, your duty is to make sure the Newsletter gets out correctly and on time. You would share responsibility of creating, editing and publication of the Newsletter.

POETRY ADMIN: There is currently one position open. As Poetry Admin, it is your duty to find one deviation every day for feature on the Newsletter. You would also adhere to the guidelines put forth for submitting said features.

PROSE ADMIN: There are currently two positions open. As Prose Admin, it is your duty to find one deviation every day for feature on the Newsletter. You would also adhere to the guidelines put forth for submitting said features.

JOURNAL ADMIN: This is newly created and has two positions open. As Journal Admin, your duty is the upkeep of the Journal. You would share in the responsibility of creating, editing and publication of the Journal, including the upkeep of the “ Previously Featured Deviants” article on a weekly basis. You would be responsible for making the Prose and Poetry Admins aware daily of this article to insure there are no deviants featured twice in one month.


We will be accepting applications for these positions for two weeks only. If you are interested, please send a note to DLD with your bio and why you would like the position.


It is my goal, and yours, I hope, to make *DailyLitDeviations a place where up and coming writers can receive the recognition they deserve.
