As you can tell, I haven't uploaded anything in... well, forever. That's pretty much because I haven't drawn really anything in... forever. I did do one thing, but it's not here because it's not completely finished yet.

Hopefully, though, I will start drawing more. I got a brand new scanner for my birthday, so hopefully when that arrives on Wednesday or so, I might be able to post at least a sketch or something.

I was hoping a few of you could help me out.
Remember how I had said I was hardly posting any artwork because my job was taking up all my time and energy? Well, I was recently laid-off of my job. While that helps with time for art, unfortunately, that won't stop my bills from coming and I'm in a real financial bind right now.

So I'm going to open up some commission work, if anyone wants to take the opportunity to jump on. I'll draw almost anything, so if you have something you'd like done, don't hesitate to note me and ask. It doesn't have to be anime related or anything, just ask.

Also, as I mentioned a last year, I DO sell my originals. So if there's something in my gallery that you REALLY like and would love to have for your own, note me and I'll let you know if I'm willing to part with it (which is far more likely now) and how much it would be.

Well I decided to replace the ol' "ears" avatar with something new. Still not sure if I like the new one better or not, so in a few days if I still have the 'eh' feeling I'll switch it back *L*

As you all can prolly tell, my time for art is practically non-existant. Or at least I don't have the energy and inspiration to do anything good. I actually sat and stared at a blank piece of paper for a half hour today, unable to think of somethin' to draw. >.<

But I do have a few a few things up in the air in 'potential' status, including a possible collab. So I'm excited for that.

Been very busy over the past month, between work, friend's weddings and moving, I haven't had time for much artistic stuff, sadly, hence the lack of updates.

My family isn't totally moved yet, but once we are and I'm situated in my new room, I'm sure my creativity demons will return. The new house is out in the country, so I'll be able to relax with the sounds of nature and not the sounds of traffic and truck air brakes (we currently live right next to an interstate).

I'm trying desperately to get an entry done for the contest, and I'd love to do as well.
Right now I have a potential sketch for , so at least that's SOMETHING.

Sadly, I haven't written a WORD of Ch. 12 for 'Gifts'. I ain't abandoning it though. Ideas come, just no time to write!

Hopefully September will have many more updates than August did. What suprises me though, is the amount of people DevWatching/Friending me, even though I haven't updated in nearly a month. I really appreciate it!

So I'm just gonna apologize in my journal here so everyone can see.

I'm terrible at replying to comments. I admit it. I shouldn't be, but I am. I have this bad habit of reading them in my message box, think "Eh, I'll reply later.", delete them and forget to go back, or remember and be too lazy to go in and do it.

Truth be told though, if the comments left are one word expressions like 'Cool' or 'Sweet' or 'Awesome!', etc, I'm probably not going to reply to them.
With the longer ones, sometimes I don't even KNOW how to reply *L*

I'll try to get better and reply more often. Every once in awhile in the past I do really good, then I'll suddenly stop.

But really, if I don't reply to comments, I'm not ignoring them or blowing them off. And I'm sorry to those people who felt that way. I read every one.

Been kinda busy and uninspired lately, hence the severe lack of updates. I do have a couple things in the works though. One is my 10,000 kiriban, which I think many people will really like. I sure do. It's still in rough pencil, hopefully I'll get it cleaned and colored in time.

Also working on Chapter 7 of Gifts still. Writing pregnant characters is hard because there are so many nasty cliches that need to be avoided. Hopefully I'll have it done and posted before the weekend.

Hey guys, just givin' a heads up on what's goin' on.

Working on Chapter 6 of 'Gifts'. I'm trying to get it done by Thursday, because I have some unfortunate news. My grandmother is temporarily moving in with us on the 31st, and she'll be staying in the den, where the computer is, until she finds her own apartment. Which means my computer/internet time will be greatly decreased.
I'll continue working on the story, but updates will be few and far between most likely.

As for the lack of art, I have not been able to draw a damned thing all month. That Rai character sketch is seriously the only thing I've been able to draw. I've been trying to do something for the Monthly Gargoyles Contest and That Time of the Month, but with absolutely no luck. Hopefully that'll change.

Anyhow, again I'll try to get Chapter 6 up within the next few days. After that, updates may be somewhat rare for an unforseen amount of time.

I'm sure everyone's noticed, especially the people who DevWatched me when I first got here, my sudden change and focus on the topic/themes I draw.

I know some people are dissappointed that I rarely draw anything other than InuYasha art, and some people are happy that I'm drawing it.

Right now, i'm going to explain WHY it's all I draw, or why it seems that way. I don't mean to anger anyone, I'm not attacking those who have voiced their concerns. I'm just bored and decided to write this.

I have a tendency to have a theme/topic and draw nothing but that for years. For instance, when I was little it was dogs, horses, and dinosaurs. Just general stuff.

Then I got into Lion King. That's ALL I drew for the longest time. It's how I developed my style. Slowly, I began making up my own characters, and Rocky and crew from Dakota's Ridge were born. So then I was drawing nothing but Lion king and wolves.

Once I moved back stateside (I had been living in Germany when Lion King came out), I got into the shows Gargoyles and The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest. Soon, that's pretty much all I drew as well, with a focus on Gargoyles and original characters based in that world. Then I discovered the internet. I found a Gargs chatroom. I began to draw the goings on in that chat. I met a wonderful person there and soon we ended up having a long distance relationship. I started drawing nothing but our two characters.

Then I went to college and got a wonderful thing known as a scanner. And I got webspace. Soon, I was able to SHOW people what I drew. I know most people whom I talked to back then can remember that 98% of my art was of my boyfriend and my characters. A little further into college, I met a friend who wrote stories. I absolutely LOVED his stories and ended up illustrating a lot of them, even designing a lot of the characters. I joined the group based in the world where his stories took place. So my art slowly began to be overrun by images of Arcadia (the world in the stories).

Eventually, I started up Dakota's Ridge. Which some of you have seen. That as since gone by the wayside, but for reasons I prefer not to get into. Just know that I don't plan on totally abandoning it.

Around that time I started making new friends at college and learned what the "Furry" community was. I began drawing a ton of furry art. By then I was rarely drawing any Gargoyles stuff, unless it was a friend's character or a character from the Arcadia stories.
Then I got into the Werewolf RPG game. A ton of my art then focused on my characters and the stories that I played in. You can still see that influence way at the beginning of my gallery.

Then suddenly, I was forced to move back in with my parents. I no longer have local friends to inspire me, nor do I go to my old chat room that often anymore. The writer I used to illustrate for hasn't written in a long while, though you may start to see more Arcadia art as he's writing another one now. I have no RPGs to illustrate from either. In fact, you can look at the upload dates on my gallery and you'll see the sudden lack of/decrease in art starting from March to October.

June or July was when I really started getting into InuYasha. The more I liked the show, the more I drew of it.

That's why you see so much InuYasha art. And I think it's great, because I've made several new friends, broadened my mind, and I think my style has improved because of it.

People say that it's all I draw anymore, and that's true, but you're only just noticing it NOW because, with me posting my art online, my change in theme has become obvious. And when nothing else inspires me, nothing else gets drawn.

So... Yeah. That's why I draw what I do.

I've got two pictures (Stef and Perry and my first Moosegoyle) that show up on the list on the main page, but not in my Gallery. Whereas the latest pic I did for MGC (log-rolling) shows up in my Gallery, but not on my main site.
