At first, Gabriel was nothing more than a character named ONE. He had no backstory, no face, nothing. I just wanted to create a character that was a badass, yet with a sense of humor.

Ever since I was little, I've known I wanted to draw. From the day my parents put a pencil in my hand, this was my future. I just knew it, I had that gut feeling. So I stuck to it, and thankfully it took me to heights I'd have never imagined possible. Sorry I've been so absent lately, been kind of in a creative slump. I had to pick up a few freelance gigs for now so I wouldn't go crazy, just designed a CD cover for a Wu Tang Clan member, working with a comic artist on a new project, and going to start some art on my friends short film soon which will be sick...but other than that, been kind of down/in a funk.

But the good news is, LMS is on it's way over here (finally) so now we just gotta wait. I'll be getting a tracking number soon, so we can watch as it makes its way over to New York...

This is out of respect for FOX and the team behind the new Alien film, as I do not want to take any credit what so ever for their development. But the piece was also taken down due to various blog sites saying it WAS used for the movie, or was commissioned by FOX.

We just received the proofs yesterday, and everything is PERFECT. Book is completely up to quality, cover(s) look fantastic, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. The print shop has put the call in to beginning producing the book. This takes about a week, to print all 4k copies of the book.

Once they're printed, they'll be packaged and shipped by boat from China, over to New York. Now, this is a long process. Usually can take 3-5 weeks. I found out that if it ships directly to California, it only takes two weeks. Problem is, Heavy Metal is located in NY.
