April 6, 2009:: From the TV show, House. I was able to finally get to watch it today after like, 2 weeks of missing it, and come to find that the guy I liked the most out of them all commits suicide.

I actually cried. o_o; Jeez, I'm like my mother.

Anyhow, yeah, the character blew himself into the temple with a gun. Then I scavenged everywhere to find his obituary site, but never did find it. Mainly though, I wanted to know why they killed Kumar off, I dunno, I probably missed a plot somewhere in the last whatever season, and I was also thinking that the guy who played Kumar actually died.

He didn't, awesome, but I'm not happy. I want Kumar back. =[

Don't ask about my virus protection, it apparently doesn't work and I'm not getting a new one. Last few times I did my computer about died.

I got Algebra II this year. I iza gonna die, yes. I'm gonna watch my grade go ' plooper ' down to the D mode, maybe even F...probably F. I'd be ok if I could get tutoring, but I have absoutely no way of meeting a teacher in the morning or after school until I can start driving myself, which would be like, in February until I get a car. And a job. Because the money system and economy suck. Especially the economy.

But yeah...um, I'll get some more work up I guess...if you call it 'work', lol. I'm drawing dragons again. They're improved so no more running for the hills. I'm trying here. So uh...yeah, looking forward to Junior year. Awesome.

But the fact of the matter is that people are having these ‘off days’ more and more often.

More and more substandard stories are being posted, more sues are popping up every which way, and there is a rift forming between the ‘good’ authors and the ‘bad’. Try to put some thought into your characters! If you’re making an original, try and think. People aren’t perfect, neither should your characters be. Flaws are important! Mary and Gary Sues are horrible things, and they can be prevented if a little more thought was just put into their creation! There are ways to easily--though not infallibly--test whether or not your idea would be a believable character.

But worse than the falling standard of the stories are the reviews.

Come ON, people. Yes, we authors ADORE it when people leave reviews. And it seems popularity is based somewhat on that count. But we’re all missing the point--they’re reviews. Reviews are supposed to tell the author what you liked, what you didn’t like, what you thought was off, what you think of this character’s reaction, or this character’s thoughts, what your favorite parts are and guesses for the future or would-be scenes. And what’s with all of the ‘update plz!’? We KNOW. We’ll update as soon as we can. More often than not, the author is contentedly typing away on their computer, and see that a review alert will pop up. They stop writing and head off to check it, only to see that it contains one or two words. And they stopped writing for however many minutes that took, just to see. (And if they’re courteous, even stopping to type up a review reply to patiently (or not so patiently) tell the reviewer that they ARE hurrying to update soon.)

The fact of the matter is, quite simply, that we ALL need to put a little more thought into what we type. Stories and plots have been getting shallower and shallower, because it seems that the readers just can’t read foreshadow or see hidden and ulterior motives and thoughts behind radical actions or ideas. YES, this isn’t English class, and you don’t have to evaluate everything you read. Just think about it, for five seconds, before typing up that review. Put a little thought into it. I bet that the answer would come to you, as to why that happened, if the story you’re reading has the answers. If not, then you’re probably not supposed to know yet. That’s how stories work.

So please, just please, think before you type.

Type what you liked about the chapter or oneshot. What you didn’t like. What had you in hysterics, what had you in tears. What the general theme of it was--was it sheer desperation that drove the characters forward, or was it love that compelled them to seek each other out? What did you think about the beginning? The ending? What was your favorite phrase, or piece of dialogue? How could the story be better? What are you glad the author didn’t put in? Did you like the couple? Did you think it was believable? What would make it more believable? What suggestions do you have for future chapters or the plot? What would you like to see in future chapters? Heck, you could even pick out your favorite character and psychoanalyze him or her.

Authors thrive off of reviews, yes. But reviews should be reviews. Not one or two words, or even one whole line. A paragraph is usually a goldmine for the writers of today. Try to spread the wealth around."

What do I have to say about this? That it's true, and it annoys me like Hell.

Yeah, Halloween was alright. A lot of tempting dark roads I wanted to go down, but couldn't. The group kept walking another way. There was one road that I kind of went down, but it was because my friend Matt wanted to check for some houses, and so he started running all the way down there and I could only see his orange glowin-in-the-dark band boundig up and down in the darkness. (Personally I thought it was funny.)

And I got bit on the neck by a vampire.

No, not really. I wish though. Better than getting bit on the beck by a mosquito. ><

To his disappointment it was a dead end and there were no houses.

And I got a migraine.

But I got to paint my nails black and put on black lipstick.

And my mom did my left eye. It was white fading to gray then black and I had a black line going down with dots on the sides. And we sprayed gray and blue hair-spray in my hair. (And I call myself a hypocrite, because hair-spray harms the environent. )

Yeah. Fun. I guess.

New club I joined:

Well, sorry I haven't been on. I'm on here at school, and I got 58 messages and 19 deviations, so I'll have to fling myself on here when I get home I guess, because these computers have a very low virtual rate.

Anyhow, to explain my absence: I got caught up for 2 days in the book Twilight and I'm anxious to get the next book New Moon. My likeness for vampires has been revived. >3

I also got two more books and I haven't finished The Thief Lord and I haven't started on Dragonrider so, I'm gonna have my nose in books all summer. Ha ha, I'm a nerd. O_o

And remember that 59 in Drama I got? Well I had to earn extra credit so since last Saturday I've been going to the little theatre to work in set construction for extra credit. It's kinda fun, considering I had to get on this extremely high ladder and help drill styrofome beams onto a cardboard frame for one of the scenes.

Yesterday I had to help a woman saw wooden boards in half. Sawdust smells BAD. I hate it. And always wear a mask, because I was coughing even wearing mine, and also if you don't wear one you'll be coughing sawdust for at least 4 days. Yeah.

Anyway, that's what's going on. I haven't heard from my dad lately. =\ But I did hear form my sister: She's going to college! Yay!!! ^_^

Well apparently, it's either my computer or DA that's slow...but the obvious is my computer. Grah...

I cleaned out several of my Deviations last week and they're still here. -_-;

I'm also getting rid of some of my journals....urks me if I have too much stuff on DA...dunno why..

And Inkheart, so far, is ok. It's got me guessing though. Course I love the twist that came up on chapter Betrayer Betrayed and Treasure Island. Cornelia Funke has a wild imagination. Once I finish Inkheart, I intend on buying Inkspell.

Anyway, yeah...writer's block on Background, damn it.

My figners are cramped so bad they crack 10 times each. ...ok too much info there, but DAMN, Ino kicks butt in this thing! O_o And Hinata? *whistles* I got a Perfect Victory with her against Kankuro. And Gaara's....__ Course, he's again his evil self, but, I put him and Hinata up against each other, and so now I have some unofficial 'GaaHina' action.

Not THAT action...

But when he tries to throw her, and she dodges, it looks like he's trying to hug her.

And when I was in training mode, playing Hinata, she and Gaara went at each other, and completely missed the other, so they stopped, and looked at the screen, looked at each other, then faced one another, it sent me laughing.

But yeah...Naruto Shuuupeden(sp?) has started, but dial-up...will forever, be dial-up....I want to see Deidara SOOOOO bad!

But it's weird, to see Hinata, fighting Haku and Zabuza...because, they're both, taller than her...and it makes me wonder about Haku's age, cuz he does looke like 14 or 15, but yeah, I dunno.
Ta-ha, Hinata beat Zabuza. :

Other than that? I miss Ronnie. I get migraines more. I'm barely getting sleep. I woke up at 2 in th morning the other night and stayed up for an hour and a half.

Brooke's baby shower is on Saturday. Yay!

Mood thingy still isn't working right...

I woke up at 7:06 this morning for the restroom, come back in my room and look out my side window. Course there's a house in the way, but that part of the sky I can see is pretty. All week I've beenwanting a picture of the sky, so I lied back down thinkign if I couldn't go to sleep I'd get up and go take a couple of pictures.
I actually, couldn't get the idea off my mind.
So I got dressed, thought about waking my mom up, but Biscuit and my shoes were being loud enough even when I was trying to be quiet, I just figured I'd leave a note and take Mom's phone.
I walked down there in my jeans with my sweater over my black tank top, weird that I jsut realized it turned out like my poem Sweater, lol, and jsut stand there on our little beach and take 3 pictures. I guess I should'be waited for the sunrise, but I realize that I can come do this again with my next camera. I only have one picture left, not sure what I'll do with that last picture. Think I'll take on of my Mom, brother, and me. I dunno. Just know I"m happy for some reason.

I'm planning that when I get my nx camera I'll go on a my walking route and take pictures of that. the trees are the awesome part nxt to a lake with a sunrise.

I forgot how much fun this could be, and I use to take walks in the woods all the time. Now I'm one of those tech ppl, lol.

First mom and I bought white roses for Shaneda, but we searched the whole cemetary except the monuments, and we could not find Shaneda. It was hot and I was sweating but I really wanted to find her, and I still feel so bad I couldn't find my friend's grave.

Then my mom and I were suppose to bond, and so we went to Chilis. Well, my cousin Savannah is going to live with her dad for a year, and my older cousin Ashley came down from California. So we decided to pay them a visit, my mom saying that she wouldn't get drunk. After 2 or 3 beers, she was not acting herself, she slapped me on my ass it scared the hell out of me. She made fun of me, and of course I'm pissed off at her and upset, because she said she wouldn't get drunk and here she is, 11:00 calling my Aunt Cindy asking for HER to bring my mom and Lisa beer. She was starting to get intoxicated, and I was upset all last night, especially when she smoked a cigarette! It doesn't look like a big deal but she knows it *excuse my languag* mother fucking scares me when she smokes, because she quit, and she hates it too. My mom just, I love her, but there are times where I wonder when I'm going to say I hate her and mean it. It was suppose to be a good day...isntead we stayed untill 2 in the morning with the orientation at 10 today so, yeah...

And there's something else, but I don't wanna talk about it.

She was a funny girl, and she was NEVER intimidated. She didn't care what people thought of her. She tried so hard too, because she was heavy set, but that didn't matter. First day I think I really felt like a friendship formed, it was at lunch and she was eating a salad and the first thing that came to my mind was, "Bless her heart, she's trying." She stuck up for herself and her friends. She didn't deserve to die, at least not such a horrible, shocking, and sudden death.

We're going to get her a rose bush at the school in her memory, symbolizing that she was tender yet tough, sensitive but strong. And the circle of her friends today at the grief counciling, we decided to do a book in her memory: All About Shaneda: Our Angel.

I'm praying for Martin, and I'll always pray for him along with others. He and Shaneda were like ying and yang, two halves that made a whole, what Devki said, and she took it HARD. ALl day I saw her with that tear streaked look. But Shaneda is here with us, even if it doesn't feel like it. And, seriously, according to Angela, if she were to see us crying for her, She'd smack all of us! Tell us to get some backbone! There may be nothing we can do about the loss of a great person, but we can help others coax with it and make her happy by never letting our memories of her die, by putting together this book and getting the roses. ]]> ~DangerousEmotions101</sub>
