Yes my subscription ends tonight... but I think I will buy another.

$7.95 is pretty reasonable for three months.
Only deviantART went and released their v6, and everyone has the fancy message center with the message/deviation previews and stuff.. at least that's what I've heard.
I'd mostly miss the pageview statistics to look at, and the journal CSS which makes my page look all fancy.. ^^

Speaking of CSS, I'm really getting tired of this one, and I need to go ahead and learn how to do it myself.

Yeah well I realize I haven't made a journal since MAY 5TH, yeah that's kinda a long time ago... Anyway, since then I've kinda graduated (5/28/08), finding jobs, figuring out what I wanna do in college, lots of fun stuff like that...

Back to the point.. I notice I haven't actually POSTED anything since... when was that..? Oh right, that picture of the flower I took with my new camera on April 20th.. that was more than 2 months ago.. Since then I've returned that camera and one more like it.. all having dead pixels in every shot, NOT just on the screen.. I'm on my third one and I'm actually gonna send this in to Canon and make them fix it...

I guess photography isn't going so well right now..
Can't seem to find anything interesting..
They're cutting down a ton of trees all around my house.. mostly pine trees, and overhanging tree limbs and stuff... They're afraid they'll fall on the houses after those tornadoes we had a couple of months back.. It's still sad though.

On the bright side, I've been making stuff out of clay alot recently..!

Yes.. it's that dreaded time of year again.. AP Exam week.. (week 1 that is..)

Well it's actually a good news / bad news situation.. I get to go home at 12:00 after my tests, so yeah, but it starts at 8:00, so they're basically FOUR HOUR TESTS...

I have 4 of them. Spanish 4 Tomorrow, Calculus AB on Wednesday, and Biology 2 on Monday. I would've taken the Computer Science exam tomorrow, but it's at the same time as the Spanish 4 Exam, so I have to take the rescheduled one on Wednesday the 21st. That's technically after us seniors get out, which is on the 16th. I won't be getting out on the 16th though anyway, cause that's only if we're exempt from all of our exams, (which sadly I am not)

So I'll have to be in school on my birthday after all.. (May 22nd) But the good news is that it will be my actual final day no matter what.

Yes, this month of May is just too packed... lots of plans.. plus exams.. and graduation.. and my birthday... everything all at once.. the good and the bad.. Well, you know how they say "time flies when you're having fun," well it does, but the memories last longer... and how time seems sooo slow when you're bored out of your mind, but at least you most likely won't remember it..
Yeeahhh... so my first exam is Spanish, tomorrow morning at 8:00, meaning I have to be at the school around 7:45, meaning I have to wake up about an hour earlier.. D:

I got my camera in the mail the other day!

Bad:
It didn't come in the original box, it came with the wrong battery, no memory card, and no warranty card... IT SAID "NEW IN BOX" ON THE WEBSITE....... I need that warranty card.. cause, I need the 1 year warranty at least... so I look at the return policy on the website, and it says I have 7 days to return it.. So does that mean 7 days to send it? or 7 days for it to get back to them.. cause it's already Sunday, and I'm not paying for express shipping to get it all the way back before Wednesday.. And they wanna charge me a 15 - 25% restocking fee...? for their mistake...? I don't think so... D:

Sent customer service an e-mail yesterday, cause I have to get a number before I can return the item... no response yet... I can't help it if they take forever to get to me and I can't ship it back in time... D:

Fortunately, nothing fell on my house except for a ton of small branches, tree bark, and what looks like pieces of someone else's roof... But, right at the corner of my street, a tree fell on the power lines and pulled a bunch of telephone poles down, and blew three transformers.. So... we were out of electricity from thursday to Saturday night.. And not the whole neighborhood, just the one street I live on.. and a few others that had lines down.

It wasn't so bad, I actually enjoyed being without power for a little while.. It's so quiet and peaceful, I just spent the whole day outside pretty much. I've never noticed how bright the sky is at night, since you can't tell with the street lights on.. (well, I guess when everyone else's are on and yours are off it looks brighter xD) Burning candles is always fun too :3

and I drove around on Friday and took pictures of a lot of the damage.. I didn't get too many pictures though cause my camera battery was dying (and I had no place to charge it..) well she did bring her camera but FORGOT HER MEMORY CARD.......... xD

So I went on a little hike the other day with

, and we took a few pictures, and I realized just how well my camera does macro shots.. The lighting was perfect and everything that day, so they all came out nearly flawless.
But yes, I'm selling that camera.. I really enjoy taking pictures and I think it's worth the investment to go ahead and save for a nice DSLR.. it'll definitely be a Canon too, they've always been my favorite..

Aaaand also I'm just trying to update more often, cause I really am trying to get back into devinatART a little

I've been here since what, November '05...? That's a long time.. I don't know how on earth I managed to get 1,000 pageviews in those first 2 months before 2006, but I did.. Oh, um, hello! I am ~DarkMoonlight666, as you all know, and, um, my page hasn't been truly up and running since January of 2006...... YES, JANUARY OF TWO-THOUSAND-SIX, OKAY....

This website was beginning to feel like one of those stupid virtual pets that die when you forget to feed it... You know, the ones that won't stop making stupid little beeping noises every five minutes, so you hide it under the rug and hope it goes away... Yeah, well, since my departure, I've lost about 4 watchers, and the most ones that are still here haven't responded to my notes or journals or anything, so.... yeah.... D:

Yes, I know, but what do you expect me to do with 1,812 deviations and 1,279 messages to check...? Not to mention the ~DA-Orphanage, ever since ~lxl-Nyu-Chan-lxl left, about a year ago, leaving me to run the whole thing, I haven't been able to keep up with all the requests. It's okay if I don't collect and post every single donation, but there are people there waiting on adoptions too, and I have been able to meet most of the requests, but I can't do everything... Thankfully, the traffic has slowed down though, and users haven't started rioting on the main page or anything yet...

Unfortunately, it still doesn't look like I'll be able to be on here as often as I used to anytime soon. School started August 20th, and I'm kinda overloaded with stuff to do... Taking AP Calculus was a mistake by the way.... My calculator gave up on me in the middle of the night... said it didn't know calculus, and that it dropped out of school with a 0.7 GPA... useless piece of junk.....

I really wish I could trade this school year with last year, cause last year was so easy, and my classes were arranged a lot better, and this is my senior year, and it looks like it's already turning out to be pretty stressful... But AP Computer Science will be fun.. We drew a house in Java.. that's about it so far... I hope our teacher is capable of teaching more than that though...

Anyway, the artwork I have been doing has all been for school. Yeah, I'm still taking art classes, Oh, and by the way:

He's in my art class.. I've known him for a while and Didn't know he had a deviantART account til yesterday.

He only has 2 watchers, so go visit his page or you shall be beaten with sandwiches D:<

But yeah, art... seems to work best when I'm not so BORED.... actually, I think I work better with other people. Probably because of the environment, and maybe a little competitive spirit...

Basically, don't expect to see anything from me very soon except maybe a few photographs, and even those will probably be ones I've taken months ago and intended to post and never did, just like the last three or four...

Right now I'm working on making an ACTUAL website for myself... From Scratch!

Yes, I've never done it before, and I'm not quite done yet, but we've been learning FrontPage at school, and I just realized I have it and have never used it, so, no point in letting good software go to waste...

I'm using Bravehost by the way... I wanted Teracities, cause it sounds better and all, but there was something wrong with it and it wouldn't let me create an account.. I tried HelioNet too, but it keeps taking me to the forum page and won't let me register

...

Also, I'm saving for a new printer, since my Lexmark X75 is costing me nearly $50 a month for ink. I want a Kodak Easyshare 5300:

I don't usually go for excessively user-friendly brands like Kodak, but this printer really looks like a good deal. Black and color ink together only costs $21.99 when I've been paying closer to $25 each for mine, and it says it prints 350 pages black and 105 pages color per cartridge... I'm lucky if mine gets close to 50 pages anything... Besides, this thing prints @ 32ppm while mine prints at 17, and it has bluetooth and all kinds of stuff...

I've been looking at Epson printers too. They're probably some of the fastest inkjet printers out there, but I've heard lots of bad things about the ink efficiency, and that you have to use their brand paper if you want decent quality..

Oh, and I finally bought a T-Shirt from deviantART! [link]

I really wanted that daPhoenix one back in series 6 I think, but they get sold out so fast.. D: I was lucky they still had one of these in my size.. (after they reprinted)

Anyway;

In about 2 Hours and 11 minutes, 2006 will no longer be with the U.S. Central Time Zone...

It will also be the beginning of my third year on deviantART...! (Not my third full year, but my third numbered year...)

It's strange when I think about it, cause even after midnight, it's still 2006 until it's midnight in Hawaii... and it's already 2:38 over in Australia anyway, so it kinda seems pointless to celebrate at a specific time... Oh well, I guess that's why the Earth is round... Just to separate and confuse people...

Anyway, although 2006 has been a pretty non-complainable year for me, it has also been a very non-progressive one too... -_-;;

Seriously, I'm not in any better spot than I was January 1, 2006... And, not to mention, that really doesn't seem like too long ago...

First of all, I've been on here for over a year now... I believe I joined November 13, 2005. during that year, I've gone from scraps and sketches to photos and photomanipulations and even a little bit into flashes and 3D animations. I can't find the time for much of that anymore... The problem used to be finding ideas and motivation, well, now I have plenty of that, it's just not the first thing on my mind right now...

I have been experimenting with 3DS Max a little more now, only to be discouraged by the extremely low speed of the default scaline renderer, and my poor untrained abilities... I have a nice camera and tripod, but I can't find a single thing worthy of photographing... I have all the art supplies I could ever need, yet I cannot sit down and use them... I even tried to get into flash again, but I can never seem to produce the results I want...

I know most of you have stopped visiting my page because I never have anything new. I know some of you have probably stopped watching my gallery and journals now too.. I know a few of you have stopped responding to my messages because I've probably stopped responding to you... I have a few things to submit, and I'll see where it goes from there...

Oh yeah, and now that deviantART gave everyone a free standard prints account, I'm planning to switch alot of my better stuff over to prints... not like anyone really buys those things anyway, but, just so you know... if there's anything you'd want a print of, feel free to buy it. Nobody's stopping you, lol...

Okay, fine, I'll get back on DA for a while... again........ Yeah, last time I said that, my computer went insane and I had to wipe the memory again. D:

Well, after 2 weeks of being infected with adware, swimming through hundreds of popups just to get to the desktop, and waiting 30 minutes to open a folder, I think it's time to wipe the hard drive... yeah, but I had to back up all my files first... which was harder than it sounds with all the slowness and the constant popups...

I just need a new computer, that's all...

This one's a E-Machines T1120... yeah, it's about 5 years old, and it was already on clearance when we got it... ($350 + $150 rebate.)

I got really bored the other night doing my homework, so I decided to go and sort through half of my messages, and well, I have alot less now.

Right, anyway, now that I'm back, uhh.... I dunno

I am now failing world history... D:
AND english... D:

I was out all last week, and I didnt get a chance to use the computer or anything, so I didnt get to do this research paper for English, and now my teacher's taking off like, 175 points... D: (whatever I ended up writing isnt even worth that many points in the first place...)

And, I got, maybe, an hour and a half of sleep before the AP World History exams... 70 multiple choice questions, 55 minutes... I got up to question 50 I think... Then, 3 essays, 3 hours... uhh, let's just say I failed...

Oh well... ANYWAY... NOW FOR AN ADVERTISEMENT...

We all know that there are waaaaaaay too many dead accounts on DA..., and well, this is one step toward getting rid of a few of them...

What started this was that ~lxl-Nyu-Chan-lxl had about... 6 Abandoned accounts, lol, and she was asking me to help her delete all the deviations from the old ones, and the idea just hit me! (The Idea was mine!

)

So, ~lxl-Nyu-Chan-lxl and I opened The ~DA-Orphanage!!!

If you ever plan to leave your account, just watch ~DA-Orphanage, and send a note to that account with your password (you can change it before you do this), we will advertise all the available accounts in the journal!

Then, we'll go to the abandoned page, clear the deviations, favorites, everything for you, and post adoption availability ads all over it, so if someone finds it, and wants it, they'll know where to go!

Anyway... they should have an actual section of DA just for this... hmm, this sounds like some kinda violation or something... but hey, it's for a good cause! and if nothing else, it's just gathering up a few dead accounts!

I'm currently thinking about getting a Canon Powershot SD450 or an SD550... The SD400 just dropped from $399 to $299, and the SD500 went from $499 to $399 I think... right now, the SD450 and SD550 are $349 and $449...

Lol, Anyway... Man I just figured this out!! when I got my subscritpion, it said until March 2nd... I thought "Wow! it's only like, the 23rd! I have plenty of time!"

But I Just Now realized that It's February!!! Lol, there are only 28 days,... So.... I only have 2 days left

... and it expires around 4PM, and I'll be just getting home from school and all...

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted! I'd better make good use of it now!

Hmm, only $4.95 for a month...? I might actually buy one... but...then.... <<;; Nooo!! EEEVIL ADVERTISEMENTS!!!! They do this on purpose to make you wanna buy one!!! XD

Hehe,... the only thing bad about the subscriptions are the Deviant Watch thingy, where you see all the deviations from ppl on your list, It shows thumbnails, sorted by person, not by the date submitted... and I dont usually delete them after I've looked at em, so I end up having to go through about 6 pages of old deviations before I actually find it... I dont know if you can change settings or something to make it arrange it differently, but eh, it's still nice to see the pictures before you click them... The best thing about it would have to be the comment thingy, how you can see all the comments, and reply to them right there in the message thingy without having to go back to the original deviation (which I do anyway...

)

Totally have to agree with all of you who say people are getting fake on here. So I gave in and let's see who really reposts this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. It serves to eliminate people who are desperately trying to add "friends" like its a popularity contest in High School. This is a test to see how many people in my friends list actually pay attention to me. Copy and repost in your own bulletin. Lets see who the true friends are and I think I know who you are... The only thing I'm worried about is World History... I never study for anything at all... The tests are probably what actually keeps my grades normal... (I never do much of the homework...) but in World History, its the exact opposite: All I can do is the homework, cause I have no idea what I'm doing on the tests

...

Other than that, I dont really worry about exams and stuff... I think the English exam might actually bring my grade Up... O_o
