Got an Xbox 360 with Gears of War 2, kung fu panda, and lego indiana jones. Rented and beat Dead Space...Dude...I couldn't believe how they ended that gameX(

I miss art I haven't made the time for it in what seems like months. I still read about techniques and such, but I have so much else going on...mainly work and being social. I'm also still trying to learn some more on C++ and other coding languages, not to mention other languages: Spanish and Japanese.
I'm pursuing a job with the local VA(Veterans Affairs) in their hospital. I got registered to be a volunteer 2 weeks ago, and will probably start this next week with that.
Also, I got baptized in October. I'm officially a Christian, attending Timothy Baptist in Muskogee

Work is taking up a lot of my time, at work and homeX( Oh well.

I bought a Tomtom One 3rd edition Monday^^ Now I can easily get from job site to job site(: Everyone at work loves it, and the boss is considering getting one for the work van.

I called the mechanic today, they said they got the head back from the shop and to check back with them tomorrow. So my car may FINALLY almost be fixed!

Speaking of which, I was lucky enough to get into a free clinic open one day a week=3 My meds didn't cost me much either

I'm getting comfortable living alone. Not that I'm often aloneX3 I'm with most of the time^w^

My mom, loving person that she is, still pays half my bills and rent(rent, electric, phone/internet). Thank God for parents. Without her help, I'd be having a much harder time saving money. After I get my car back and know that it's working well, I REALLY should start my Roth IRA. I need to be able to retire somedayO.o I'm trying to follow the Total Money Makeover, by Dave Ramsey, and pretty much have my emergency fund

Instead of being charged the $25, they only charged me $17.37! I asked about it, but the cashier didn't mind^^
THEN, I bought a book for myself at Waldens that was supposed to be $22+tax. There happened to be a 30% off deal this week, so I only paid $16.69.

I've also been learning CAD, doing work on blueprints for my boss. Laying out the plans for our systems on larger jobs. Currently, I'm getting most familiar with TurboCAD 8, but my boss has also got TurboCAD 15 for us to use, and AutoCAD 2005 to play with.

I got my car fixed. Ended up costing me ~$1350, and it still sounds loud and ricketyX( But it runs, so I'm happy(:

My .3mm mechanical pencil that I got from Hobby Lobby Started eating the lead>< Took it back and was lucky enough to have them replace it for free, even though it was past the exchange date:3 I had to visit them a couple of times before that pencil was back in stock, but guess who was with me the time I went to exchange it?

Cool stuff:

My life seems to finally be taking a few small steps forward. We managed to get an apartment at Shady Hollow in town^^(I like the nameX3) The rent covers all the basic bills except electricity, and we'll still need to pay for the tv, internet, phone... so 490/month rent+ We hopefully get to move in next weekend

I BOUGHT A CAR!!
'91 Grand Prix, Sedan body, V4. Everything about it seems to be in great condition except the paintX3 It's peeling, but it doesn't really matter, it's only silver, so it can't easily be seen from a distance.
Then there's the glove box. It's got a combination lock, which no-one knows the code for, and it looks like someone tried to pry it openX( I was able to get into it by taking out the screws at the base of the glove box door to find the car manual and other related paperwork. Though, I stll need to get the door off so I can get to the fuse pannelDX
Other than that, it came with good tires and a pretty new stereo=3 It even has an AUX input for my MP3 player! Oh, and the best part is that I bought it used at $1,000...No car payments:3

I bought Pain Shop Pro Photo X2, and have been tinkering with that(:

We just finished installing an entertainme system for Ron White, A FEDERAL JUDGEO.O
I'm happy to say he was pleased with our work^w^


Boring stuff:

Not much time for art, too much work I'll be working in Ft. Smith Mon-Tues, Thurs-Fri

I think I'm fially getting over allergies or something that's been bothering me for the last month and a half.

How does one develop a social life while juggling a job, desire to improve artistically, and deire to learn (TurboCAD, HTML, C++, etc.)?

I cut my own hair last weekend, with a little help. It's pretty easy to take an electric razor and shave your headX3 I got it to look okay, then I tried an attachment that was shorter than I thought it was, so I had to even it out, now I have a buzz cutXp

The other day, we went to install an alarm system in this rich guys garage/workshop, he had an RV, a really nice boat, some riding lawnmowers, and other stuff in there (and another boat on the way from what I hear). The rafters were like 20 ft above the concrete, and I had to climb up through them to get to the highest point to mount a smoke detector and run it's wireXO I'm glad I had plenty of cross beams and a 2 by 6 to walk on:3

Yesterday, Mark (my immediate superior) had me doing jobs on my own from one place to the next. Yay, more responsibility with little payX( It's worth it though, I don't think I could ask to work for nicer people

Hm, quick update:

All things considered, things are going pretty well. My grandfather is going to get a new computer for the new year, allowing me to move mine to a more private location so I can work on art! And I just ordered a lot of anime from Hastings! :Hyper Police, Blue Submarine No. 6, Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM), and Tenchi Muyo GXP. Yeah, I splurged, but It's Christmas, I've been saving up

I spent even more buying for my mom. It's my first Christmas that I have a job, so I'm kinda making up for previous lack of gifts(:
I got her: Smallville S1, Supernatural S1, Angel S1, Buffy S1, and Charmed S3 (she had 1 and 2 already).

Why I'm telling you all this, I don't know, but I'm in a good mood^^

Speaking or work, at least I've been able to snag myself a job. I get to go around this and neighboring states(Arkansas and Texas) to install security systems, fire alarms, home theater systems, ...all kinds of low-voltage systems. Kinda neat.

Since my mom is able to use one of my grandfathers vehicles, I don't really need to focus on that just yet, but there is this one little car I may be able to get if I'm lucky. I have to bid on it, it's a repossessed vehicle at a credit union.

I also need to find an apartment, so I can actually have my own room! Not that I don't have a room to sleep in here, but it's... set up for a girlX( I would feel bad about moving everything around, seeing as I don't know how long I'll be living with them.

I really am missing you guys! I can't wait for things to move along in my life...I suppose that's the hard part: patience.

It was a pretty fun little vacation/family reunion. I met some cool family and got reacquainted with old friends.

Friday night - Hotel, met up with my mom's parents

Saturday - Reunion, it was held at a park, where there was plenty of food:3 So I ate, rested for a while, ran four laps 'round our reserved area, rested, ran two more laps, then just hung out with some of my cool family. After that, we got to swim at the hotel pool! I hadn't swam for at at least a year before thatX3

Sunday - We spent the day at the house of a family member who lived nearby. Again, there was food, then 'corn holes,' a game that has you throw small bean-bags at a hole in a board... well, 'twas fun enough, then I went for a bike ride around the neighborhood with my younger cousins. We hadn't left 'till after dark.

Monday - Breakfast at Bob Evans, then the trip home.

My independent studies still worry me a little, but I got to bring home a PLC setup to program and experiment with, which is pretty cool.

At least I did something before break ended. I spent the weekend at a friends for a LAN party. Playing Warcraft and Half-Life was a welcome excuse to stay up all night last night(: I did sleep though, ~9am-2:30pm XD Having stayed up to 5 in the morning before that, I'm probably going to have trouble falling asleeplol, but it was worth it.

It was interesting trying to get out of their driveway, a dirt road that doesn't get paved. I had to have 2 friends push my car with me at the wheel to get off the ice that I was parked on:/
Speaking of vehicles, our truck isn't working at the moment.

Just a quick update. I passed that test! The minimum requirement was 50/100 to pass, and I got 60(: It may not have been a very high score, but it's enough to give me the credits for that class (marketing foundations).

As for art, I've not got anything new): I'm still practicing that manga style. I think I'm starting to get the hang of proportions, but I've got a ways to go. Maybe I'll find the time to finish a scrap.

So, I was going to get hands-on experience, but we can't find the disk with the PLC progam on it (probably stolen, accidentally taken, etc.). He has to order another from the company.
I'll probably end up testing out of Marketing Foundations, rather than taking the class. It's a $75 test, but it'll be worth it, and it's mostly (if not all) multiple choiceXD ALSO, one of the counselers at the school is apparently taking the test for class and has the book for the class. She's letting me borrow it to study for the test ^^ I have a good feeling about this test^^

The set of pens I ordered last week arrived, and they work great! It's a set of .1, .3, .5, and .7mm pigment liners from Staedtler [link] I got them from Ebay for ~$6. I heard about them in the How to's that I ordered earlier, recommended by none other than Fred PerryXD

On an artistic note, I just submitted a lot of scraps. I don't know if I'll actually finish anything soon. I might start to finish one of those scraps, or I might continue with my practicing/studying. Most of those that have a plain white background are in my new sketch book that my (real life) sister bought me for my birthday^^ I really need to make/get her something. (Her birthday was earlier this month, so it'll be a late presentDX)

Halloween was pretty boring. I got to stay home alone and pass out candy, only 2 kids stopped by. That leaves plenty of candy for us, though lol.

I ordered some (Gold Digger) posters and How To's from [link]
that got here yesterday. I already have the posters up in my room, and I'll try to put what I learn from the How To's to work in upcoming pics. I'm trying to learn a manga style, specifically Fred Perry's style. Don't know how that'll turn out but I've taken the first steps.

Almost done with this semester. I'm going to try to test out of Marketing Foundations, leaving me with ~4 classes that I have to take to earn my associates degree. My Instrumentation instructor is finally letting me use a PLC, I've seriously been waiting for some hands on work and I'll finally get it!

I have a surprising amount of time on my hands, considering we're supposed to be moving at the end of this month. Most of what we have to go through is paperwork that my mom needs to go through, so I'm pretty much waiting for when we start moving to do something. I've already packed my room. I wish I could help more, but I wouldn't know what to do with all of those papers O_o
I don't like waiting... I feel unhelpful/bored/unproductive... I can't wait to move. School's still boring.
(I find some amount of truth in that song<.< )
I'll probably get back to working on art soon, if not before we move.

---A few more things about me:
I'm a Scorpio in the American horoscope, and a Tiger in the zodiac.

I wrestled in 8th, 11th, and 12th grade on the Junior Varsity team. I won second place in a JV tournament once, but the officials never awarded me a medal, so my coach dug through some old medals he had in a desk when we got back to our school for one. I got a first place medal that had "fastest pin" written on the back in permanent marker. lol

I occasionally play Magic: The Gathering.

I was in band for 5 years, 5th-9th grades. I played the Alto-Saxaphone. Through all that time, however, I don't think I ever got really good. I could hardly remember a song to play it from memory, and I embarrassed myself once in marching band by forgetting my position in a formation during halftime at a football game.

Animals tend to like me. We've been through our share of dogs, cats, and even a turtle, but we've moved a lot and weren't able to keep them.

I'm single, probably because I'm so shy.

I sometimes think a lot more than I should.

I think I can be a rather intimidating person, and admit that I might have a little bit of a mean streak in me, but I try very hard to be a good person. I've never been in a fight, and probably won't ever get into one (hopefully). I used to get picked on in middle school, by this one group in particular, but I somehow managed to make them my friends, and they still are my friends to this day.

I wrote a poem for a book once, in middle school, English, that got published. There was also a letter that I wrote for the newspaper that got published. English has always been one of my best, though least liked, subjects. I preferred math and science. I had physics and calculus my senior year, I thought they were both fun and challenging.

I think that's good for now.

I'm surprised that I didn't start making my own art long ago. The most I was able to do were some rough sketches of some of my favorite characters, and traces of comic book covers (I liked to use tracing paper ). Now, I just use what I know, and try to figure out what I don't know, and make a sketch that I scan into the computer and use Photoshop to make a complete picture. That program took me a while to get to know, and I'm still learning. Seeing Mark Thompson's (TailsrulZ) art on DA, and his website, inspired me to start trying harder and make some good pic's. I feel that I'm improving, and hope to continue to improve.
----My Life
Right now, I'm graduated from high school and am attending college. I'm going for an associates degree in Electronics Technology, and have finished my first two semesters. However, the college I'm attending is dropping my classes, so I'll be forced to take the technical classes via independent study, which I really don't want to do, since I like hands-on experience. That said, I hope I don't finish my degree there. I don't have classes 'till the fall, and I'm looking for a job, so I have plenty of time to do what I want. My sketching takes up most of that time, but I still watch plenty of shows and movies, play video games, and find time to exercise. As for major events in my recent life, I might be moving back to Texas soon. I was born in Texas, we moved up here at the end of my fourth grade year, and now we might go back. I actually look forward to it, since Michigan's economy seems to be going bust right now, which is why I'm still looking for a job and don't have one.
